  1. Destiny 2 Guardians, prepare for Titanfall. Kind of. And I’m sorry for that jumpscare, Titanfall fans. I am one of you. But sadly, an upcoming new Destiny 2 Crucible PvP mode called Heavy Metal is bringing the closest possible thing to Titanfall 3 to Destiny 2 next month, and it looks like pure, silly fun. It’s Brig mechs vs. Drake tanks, and it looks like a blast. View the full article
  2. Assassin’s Creed Shadows players will be able to finish the game in 30-40 hours. That’s according to the title’s creative director, Jonathan Dumont, who also held the same role on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Following 2023’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which was a more streamlined action-adventure game in the vein of earlier series entries, Shadows is a more expansive RPG akin to Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla. 3. Monster Hunter Wilds has already broken numerous records for the franchise and storefronts like Steam less than a week after its release, featuring the highest concurrent player count both Monster Hunter and Capcom itself have ever seen. While Wilds has also had a significant share of criticism over poor performance and frustrating menus, the gameplay itself is just as fluid and action-packed as you'd expect from the series. Combined with the updated combat and new wound moves, there are plenty of smaller features that might go unnoticed at first, but are game-changing for veteran hunters. View the full article

  10. While most large monsters are easy to find, the Gypceros proves the most troublesome in Monster Hunter Wilds. Oftentimes, it won't spawn right away, prohibiting you from completing Zatoh's side mission. We're here to help by showing you how to find Gypceros in the Plains. How to get the Gypceros to spawn in Windward Plains The Gypceros appears during the Fallow weather, which you can change in the Rest's Environment settings. However, even with this feature, many players have still been unable to get this creature to spawn. So, if you're struggling to find the Gypceros in the Plains, here are a few methods you can use: Check on your Environment Overview to narrow down its location Capture the Gypceros in another region, then return to the Plains to see if spawns in Look around Kunafa Village or Zone 4 The first thing you need to do is check on your Environment Overview. You'll see a button to open it at the bottom of your map. It'll present you with all the currently available monsters in the Windward Plains, where you may see the Gypceros pop up. If you have yet to catch or hunt this beast, it will appear as a '???' creature. Set a waypoint to reach there quickly. Screenshot by Destructoid Unfortunately, the Environment Overview rarely shows a Gypceros, especially when the Beware the Gypceros Material Retrieval side quest is active. Defeating this monster in other regions is the only way I could resolve this issue, as it seems to refresh the monsters within the Plains. Regions like the Iceshard Cliffs, Oilwell Basin, and Wyveria spawn the Gypceros more frequently. Therefore, you can easily find this creature, take it down, and then return to the Plains for better chances. If the problem persists, explore Windward Plains to trigger a Gypceros appearance in the wilds. Players in the 'Can't find the Gypceros' Reddit thread suggest looking around Kunafa Village or Zone 4 (above the Base Camp) to encounter this creature. Screenshot by Destructoid Hopefully, one of these methods helps you find the Gypceros in the Plains. However, you'll still need to defeat the monster to complete the rest of the Beware the Gypceros mission. How to defeat the Gypceros in MH Wilds In addition to Gypceros' rare sightings, it's also relatively challenging to eliminate. It has the power to stun and poison you, so ensure to come prepared with resources. I highly recommend bringing Antidotes or Herbal Medicines to counter Poison Status Effects. Here's a list of the Gypceros' weaknesses in MH Wilds: Weak Point: Head Recommended Elemental Attacks: Fire and Ice Effective Status Effects:Poison: Least effective Sleep: Moderately effective Paralysis: Moderately effective Blastblight: Moderately effective Stun: Moderately effective Exhaust: Moderately effective Effective Item: Pitfall Trap Shock Traps won't do you any good in this battle, but Pitfall Traps will prove handy. While the head is the Gypceros' weakest point, it's best to pinpoint its tail first since it'll be more accessible to hit. Screenshot by Destructoid You must be agile during this fight to avoid its many stun and poison attacks. Weapons like the Dual Blades and the Insect Glaive can help, but you can opt for other types if they better suit your playstyle. Once you've defeated the Gypceros, return to Kunafa Village to speak to Zatoh. He'll reward you with Carbalite Ore for upgrades and the Sharp Kunafa Cheese meal ingredient. 17. Marvel Rivals is already a fairly chaotic hero shooter, thanks to its huge roster of characters sporting powerful abilities capable of annihilating one another. Of course, there's always the possibility of it becoming even more chaotic, thanks to new game modes, broken characters in desperate need of nerfing, or new abilities. Fortunately, after rumors speculated about its existance, one of those is coming to Marvel Rivals, and it could turn the entire game on its head. View the full article

Thus, I've compiled some of the best gear, abilities, and attributes for the ultimate vampire build, which has turned out to be extremely versatile, fun, and highly recommended for fans of melee caster builds. 19. For newcomers to Monster Hunter, the sudden success of Wilds might seem like it came out of nowhere. But Capcom has been fine-tuning its massively successful Monster Hunter series for global domination for years and the result is what looks to be one of the best-selling games in the series. With over a million concurrent players on Steam, everyone is playing Monster Hunter Wilds. But if you’re feeling like an outsider looking in, unsure how or where to start, I have the secret to maximizing your Monster Hunter enjoyment with this one simple trick – finding the weapon that best suits how you want to play. In Monster Hunter Wilds, players can immediately choose from an almost overwhelming arsenal of weapons, each with their own unique playstyle, whether that’s heavy, brutish weapons like the Great Sword, something more nimble like the Dual Blades, or ranged weapons like the Bowgun. There’s a temptation – I think partly because it is Monster Hunter’s most iconic weapon – to start out using the big swords and switch axes first, but these cumbersome weapons have to be used in a very specific way, prioritizing intentional swings instead of brute force. As such, they’re not the easiest thing to get to grips with at first. Instead, I’d opt for something a little more nimble like the Dual Blades, which unlocks a world of quick attacks and dodges. The difference is transformative: when maining a big sword, Monster Hunter echoes the considered combat and careful approach of Dark Souls; using Dual Blades, it’s reminiscent of ****** May Cry’s action-focussed combat. Indeed, compared to previous Monster Hunters, Wilds changes up the combat to make it a bit more in-line with modern action games. While you still need to sheathe your weapon if you want to heal, combat feels more intuitive to anyone who’s played an action RPG from the last five years. That said, the main difference – and why picking a weapon that best suits the way you play – is unlike other action RPGs, which let players customize the way they want to play through skill trees, in Monster Hunter it’s all down to weapon choice. The decision you make at the start defines the experience you’ll have, then. If your preference is something super fast and combo heavy, that makes you feel like Dante’s been transported to the Monster Hunter series, go for the Dual Blades, which relies on fast attacks, quick dodges, and building up a meter that, when full, can unleash a rapid combo on downed enemies. On the flip side, if you prefer something that can deal heavy damage while keeping your defences up and maintain mobility, the sword and shield is a great starter weapon. The lance – one of the least popular weapons in the game because it favors defense over flashy attacks – combines both a big weapon and shield. Its parries and counter-attacks aren’t for everyone, but practice and you get a very unique combat experience. There are also ranged weapons like the Bowguns, which are equally if not more powerful than melee weapons. If you’re going to pick one of these, remember to pack enough ammo and make sure you’re bringing the best ones for the particular monster you’re fighting. There are 14 weapons to choose from, each with unique abilities and characteristics, but they’re effectively divided into three main types – heavy, which deal massive damage in exchange for speed, light weapons that deal rapid attacks, and technical weapons. But there are also those that sit between these archetypes – the Gunlance has range capabilities, the Charge Blade can become a big axe or smaller blade with a button press, and the Insect Glaive and Hunting ***** can be used to gain unique buffs with the right combos. There’s a ton of choice but don’t get overwhelmed. Try out every weapon in the game’s tutorial before you fully commit, because you will definitely find the right fit for you, whether that’s kicking up a frenzy like Dante or prioritizing strategy like Dark Souls. 21. World of Warcraft has never been a cheap game, but Blizzard Entertainment’s in-game service charges are pushing even the most dedicated fans to their limits. And when WoW players—who already pay a monthly subscription just to log in—start side-eyeing the price tags, you know something’s up. A recent Reddit post with over 4,000 upvotes summed it up perfectly with the title “The service prices are absurd.” From there, the discussion spiraled into a mix of frustration, disbelief, and some fairly solid economic takes. The main offender? Blizzard’s faction change service, which costs as much as an entire indie game at full price. One player put it bluntly: “I understand putting a price on these services because you want people to think about their decisions, but at the same time, why the ***** so expensive?” View the full article
