Top Esports’ journey at League of Legends’ First Stand 2025 begins with an intense matchup against Hanwha Life Esports. But according to their top laner, it’s not the LCK representatives whom they should fear. The First Stand tournament marks an important chapter in this year’s competitive calendar for League of Legends, with the best teams from around the world fighting for an extra spot in the 2025 Mid Season Invitational. Five teams will battle it out in an intense one-week competition, and among them the LPL representatives aiming to claim the international supremacy once again. View the full article
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesn't give you options for customizing Henry aside from the armor you wear and the way you fight. However, that's going to change with Patch 1.2, which includes so much content, the patch notes are 34 pages long. With that many notes needed to go through all the content changes and additions, the new customization choices are likely just a taste of everything that Warhorse Studios has planned for the game's immediate future. Are you on the hunt for unbeatable gaming deals? Well, equip a wallet to your main hand and empty your inventory, because this week’s discounts are overloaded with gems. I’ve taken all the grind out of bargain fetch-questing by collecting the standouts of the day. Get scrolling to get saving! This Day in Gaming In retro news, I’m celebrating the 30th birthday of Star Wars: Dark Forces, an FPS ahead of its time. In an age of Doom, endless corridors, and fairly mindless stage-based bloodshed, this bad boy held me in thrall with its multi-level maps and “mouselook” aiming. It also had the cracking, lore-expanding tale of Kyle Katarn, a gruff ex-Imp who took on daring mission-based objectives with his amazing (at the time) ability to jump, crouch, and more! Sadly, Katarn’s opening level antics of securing the Death Star plans got erased/retconned into the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. But hey—this game still retains the honour of introducing the fearsome Dark Troopers, an elite Imperial battle droid squadron that reappeared in The Mandalorian. One last core memory of this for me: our hero doing the Howie Scream whenever I pinged him off a cliff. Aussie bdays for notable games - Star Wars: Dark Forces (PC) 1995. After a long, long time, fans of Hideo Kojima and his dark and weird Death Stranding series finally have something to work with. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is set to launch on June 26 this year, and we also got an awesome new trailer to boot. During the March 9 SXSW panel, Hideo Kojima and his crew unveiled new footage for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, with some 10 cinematic minutes exploring the game’s dark and brutal world. We saw many old faces from the original game alongside some new ones, and, what’s most important, finally learned the game’s release date—June 26, almost six years after the first. The footage, which was a combination of cinematics and gameplay snippets, looked incredible, the latter appearing a tad more action-packed than what the first game had, though still familiar. There's a lot you can point to in Elden Ring that contributes to its fantastic open-world design, but there's one facet that I think gets overlooked because of how simple and innocuous it is: everything is really, really big. It's something that jumps out at you immediately – the Erdtree towers over Limgrave, and Stormveil Castle's walls are ludicrously tall – but everything is so massive that the sheer size of the world's objects tends to become mundane relatively quickly. And I'm not talking about the size of Elden Ring's map in square footage, but the actual land formations and artificial structures themselves. View the full article
The post-apocalyptic world of the Fallout franchise is one where governments have fallen or fractured, and in their wake, hundreds of smaller factions have risen to fill the void. These factions add tons of lore to the setting, with their complex and competing ideologies creating tension across the continent. But while some factions opt for brutal tactics and cruelty to ensure dominance, thankfully, others genuinely want to make the wasteland a better place. View the full article

Monster Hunter Wilds does a lot right. Many of the swings taken in the latest Monster entry have paid off well, maintaining the franchise's upward trend as it continues to innovate. Of course, not every feature is an evolution. In a few cases, Wilds has, for me, underdelivered on expectations. View the full article

Split Fiction has a pretty intuitive set of controls, and it varies slightly based on whether you're using a keyboard or controllers. Being a co-op title, I believe that controllers are the best way to play this game. That said, this guide will include the full set of controls for both PC users (assuming you don't use a controller) and console users. Image via Hazelight Studios Whether you're using a keyboard or controller, Split Fiction allows you to fully rebind the controls. This privilege is available for both Mio and Zoe, and can be done from the in-game settings. The set of options are slightly more limited in case of a controller, but it's the better medium to use for sure. On PC, you can use either an Xbox or a PlayStation controller for the best results. You won't have to depend on Steam Input, and you should find supportive prompts for either type of controller. Just plug in the controller you're trying to use, and run the game. You can also use a third-party controller as long as it's supported for PC. The post Complete Split Fiction controls for PC and controllers appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article

Dota 2’s metagame is evershifting. Different heroes emerge into prominence through the ebbs and flows of game-changing balance patches. This naturally brings the counter to those heroes into the meta, and the cycle goes on for the now 126-wide hero roster. Carry heroes in Dota 2 are played in the Safelane. They are referred to as the Position One, which alludes to their topmost farm priority among the team. While this has traditionally meant an AFK farming playstyle for the better part of the game’s life, now the role is more active than ever, rewarding carry players with the awareness to contribute in early fights. Even if you’re using melee weapons as your Primary and Secondary in Monster Hunter Wilds, you always have a ranged weapon in the form of your slinger. But there are a lot of different ammo types for your slinger, and changing from one to another can be a bit confusing. There are two main types of slinger ammo in Monster Hunter Wilds: the kind you can store in your pouch and the kind that you can’t. The game doesn’t formally acknowledge these two categories, but I’m going to call them “pouch ammo” and “found ammo” because they work differently. Things can get particularly confusing when you pick up a found ammo type when you have a pouch ammo type equipped at the time. But fear not, this guide to slinger ammo in Monster Hunter Wilds will clarify everything. View the full article
