  1. Despite the guidance of Revenge of the Savage Planet's tutorial, one resource is only briefly touched on. This material is none other than Silicon, which you'll need to construct new upgrades. Find out how to get Silicon in RofSP. Where to find Silicone in RofSP In the Making a Splash quest, you'll have to find 300 Silicon to craft the mighty Power Hose. It won't be as easy to discover as the rest of the recipe, but there is a way to quicken the process. You can farm Silicon fast by defeating enemies, who typically drop these resources alongside Carbon. Although it's possible to mine Silicon veins, I didn't have much luck finding this material with this method. Screenshot and remix by Destructoid Any enemy seems to drop Silicon in Revenge of the Savage Planet, including Raccoccos. Kick them or use your gun, and you'll see the Silicon floating near their grimy corpses. If you prefer a more peaceful approach, you can search for yellow-colored veins and punch them for this resource. As mentioned, the veins aren't as common as other resources, and you may need to rely on enemies instead. There might be a spot rich in Silicon that I haven't found yet, so feel free to explore the area for better chances. As you progress through the story, you'll also have more opportunities on the remaining planets. Screenshot by Destructoid Once you've gathered enough, return to your 3D Printer to craft the Power Hose. This weapon allows you to take down slimy and plant-based creatures, as well as clean off anything murky. Your first task with it requires you to clear off the ****** outside your Habitat's dish. It's the only way to get your base fully functional. The Power Hose isn't the only upgrade you can use Silicon with, as this material is also found in a variety of modernized creations, such as the Snork Heat Sink, Rawhide Utility Belt, and Pyrex Loot Magnet. You can keep track of how much Silicon you have in your inventory by looking for the yellow circular icon. It appears alongside the other two crucial resources: Aluminum and Carbon. Fortunately, Aluminum and Carbon appear more frequently than Silicon. You'll need all three to craft numerous upgrades and builds that help you survive longer in Revenge of the Savage Planet. 2. Skirk is expected to be released in the upcoming Genshin Impact 5.7 update. She is one of the most hyped characters in the game, so a lot of players are waiting for her arrival. Interestingly, Skirk's animations were recently leaked, which show her idles and other combat animations. Skirk idle, Elemental Skill, and Burst animations in Genshin Impact leaked Dim is one of the most reliable sources in the community, and they have leaked all the in-game animations for Skirk. This includes her idle and combat animations. The developers have slightly changed Skirk's model, and it looks brighter. Some may prefer the old version. Idle animation Skirk's first idle animation is a simple one as she just floats in the air before summoning a crystal and staring at it. However, her second animation is one of the best in the game. Skirk summons her sword and dashes forward before going back again mid-air. In addition, a crack appears behind her, similar to the one she threw Childe in during the Fontaine Archon Quest. Image via HoYoverse Normal Attack Her regular Normal Attack animations are pretty basic ones, which should be surprising. You also wouldn't be using them much since Skirk deals most damage in her enhanced state. However, transforming her weapon into a double-bladed sword on her third Normal Attack is pretty cool. Elemental Skill Skirk's Elemental Skill animation also looks amazing. She enters a special mode and starts floating mid-air before summoning a second sword. Additionally, Skirk switches to a battle outfit, and you can see a long translucent fishtail behind her. Elemental Burst Her Elemental Burst animation is a pretty fast one. It starts with a dark screen with the Abyss color scheme, and it cracks before Skirk appears and performs a slashing move with a large sword. Overall, it is safe to say that Skirk has one of the coolest animation moves in Genshin Impact. That said, it is still in the beta phase, so there may be changes upon official release. Check out Skirk's ascension and talent materials guide if you plan to get her. The post Genshin Impact Skirk gameplay animations leaked – Idle, Skill, and Burst appeared first on Destructoid. Disney Dreamlight Valley players are showing a sharp divide over whether publisher and developer Gameloft should introduce the version of Pocahontas featured in the 1995 Disney film of the same name. Disney Dreamlight Valley unites heroes and villains from two dozen different Disney and Pixar properties, and while some would like to see the prominent Powhatan figure join the game's roster, others would find it blatantly disrespectful. However, that was not the case, and instead, Fortnite took a break from its storyline and focused on an exciting collab. While fans are used to Epic Games joining forces with Star Wars for a themed event during the month of May, due to the May the 4th celebrations, they were not expecting a full-fledged mini-season dedicated to the franchise. From the dystopian cityscapes of Cyberpunk 2077 and Deus Ex to the war-torn outer space settings of Titanfall 2 or Stellaris, it's all pretty grim. 16. In 2024, indie developer VEA Games released Nikoderiko: The Magical World, their love letter to classic platformers. Now, they’ve released a Director’s Cut that refines gameplay and adds new content, and they’ve offered it as a free upgrade. If you missed out on Nikoderiko the first time around, it’s a family-friendly platformer with an art style inspired by Saturday morning cartoons. It stars mongooses Niko and Luna and can be played in single-player or couch co-op. You travel through the game’s varied worlds on a quest to retrieve an ancient relic stolen from you by the nefarious Baron Grimbold, and you can team up with animal mounts to defeat his Cobring army and save the local tribes. Since the release of the base version of the game, the dev team has received extensive feedback from players and worked to improve on as much as possible with the Director’s Cut. “We have a lot of emails; I personally read and answer every email,” said Dmitry Smirnov, founder of VEA Games and director of Nikoderiko. “We tried to implement all the necessary features you asked for. There are a lot of ideas for the game and how to improve the game. It really helps us to make a good game a great game.” One of the biggest improvements to the Director’s Cut is the expansion of its difficulty options, which target a wider range of players and experience levels. For hardcore players, there’s a new Hard Mode with level modifiers. “It will push players,” Smirnov said. “There are more challenges, more hard but honest mechanics. We would like to give you the experience of a soulslike game in a family platformer.” On the other end of the spectrum, Easy Mode has been made easier, lowering the barrier to entry for younger players or those new to gaming or the platformer genre. It is a family game, after all. “We decided to make it more accessible for kids and younger players,” Smirnov said. “While we were developing Nikoderiko, it was nice to know that my kids will be able to feel the same impressions like I did in my childhood.” Keeping with the theme of making Nikoderiko accessible to as many people as possible, the Director’s Cut adds text and voiceover options for several languages, including *******, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, and ********. It also adds Steam Deck compatibility for the first time. There’s also a new secret eighth world for players to unlock, with its own hidden treasures and new boss. With the new world comes new music from veteran composer David Wise, who composed the soundtrack for the base game. Wise has worked in gaming for more than 30 years and is probably best known for his composing work in the Donkey Kong Country series. “On my fourth birthday, I got a present and it was Donkey Kong Country,” Smirnov said. “I always loved to play with my brother, and it changed a lot of my direction in life, because I was very inspired by the graphics and the mystical and atmospheric music.” In addition to all the new content in the Director’s Cut, it also refines what was already there. Graphics have been upgraded, animations have improved, and performance has been optimized across all platforms. If you’ve already bought Nikoderiko, the Director’s Cut is available as a free update and is compatible with your previous saved games, so you don’t need to start over. For the achievement hunters, the update adds new trophies and achievements on the appropriate platforms. If you haven’t picked it up before, the Director’s Cut has replaced the base game on all platforms, so buying it now will get you the expanded version. It’s available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna, so it’s safe to say you probably have access to it. It's also offered on ***** pretty regularly, so you can always wishlist it on your preferred platform and buy it when it's at a price you're comfortable with. For the collectors among you, a physical release was recently announced and is scheduled to release on August 22. The base game will be available on its own, and there will also be a Collector's Edition that comes with the game, David Wise's soundtrack on CD, and an official artbook with around 100 pages. For more information, check out the game’s official website or join the community on Twitter for updates. View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]

  18. Nvidia is potentially about to announce a new CPU for PCs, featuring an integrated Blackwell GPU, according to reports. This is a story that's parked well and truly in the rumor and speculation space, of course, but if there's one company that has the resources to design an Arm CPU for the PC and make it work, it's Nvidia. If you want the best gaming CPU for your PC at the moment, you'll need to buy a chip based on the x86 architecture from Intel or AMD, as that's what the PC standard has used since the very start (for the most part, at least). However, with Qualcomm showing that you can run some PC games pretty well on Arm CPUs already, Nvidia could potentially make a big splash here, particularly in the race to make the best gaming handheld, where the benefits of Arm CPUs are keenly felt when it comes to battery life. 21. Your Alta Interglobal career may be short, but there's still money to make. Kindred Trainings offer quick cash, starting with the "Welcome to Your New Home!" survey. Nail the answers, and you'll profit fast. Here's your cheat sheet for mastering the quiz in Revenge of the Savage Planet. What are the correct answers to the Welcome to Your New Home survey in RotSP? Once you've activated your Habitat, head to the computer on the left to begin your Kindred Trainings. The quiz will explain what you can or cannot do on this planet, guiding you through Alta Interglobal's proper etiquette. Choose these answers to ace the Welcome to Your New Home survey in Revenge of the Savage Planet: QuestionsCorrect AnswersYou arrive to find a race of inferior beings, rich in culture but poor in weaponry. Do you...Choose D: Notify Alta that, unfortunately, your uninhabited planet is actually inhabited and wait for reassignment. After interacting with an alien planet and following Alta's corporate guidelines to relocate to a new planet, you are contacted by someone purporting to be a part of Alta's security team. They offer you a small reward for your silence on the stipulation that you sign a non-disclosure agreement banning you from ever mentioning your discovery. Do you...Choose C: Both A and BThe rumor mill is buzzing. In the lunchroom, word is that Alta has found a new and high potential planet deep in the Atredes system. Resources are already being assigned and opportunity is high. But there is a muttering that perhaps there was a precursor civilization on the planet before we arrived. Do you...Choose C: Say nothing. Gossip is gossip. No need to bring more attention to it. Even if Alta Interglobal just kicked you to the curb, your quiz answers must still put their interests first. For the first question, pick the option that alerts Alta. In this scenario, they would transfer you to a planet with better resources. Profit comes first, and they do not like you mingling with the lower class. Moving onto the second question, you can choose options A and B. This answer would have you report this so-called security team and record their wrongdoings with the AltaEye. Screenshot by Destructoid The last question is tricky, as you might feel tempted to report the gossip. But in this case, the correct move is to do nothing. You have to trust that Alta will handle it on their own. Strangely, even if you choose "Say nothing," it might still say you got it wrong. I'm not sure why it comes up incorrectly. Maybe it's just Alta being Alta, pulling their usual shenanigans to ensure you're always in the wrong. Regardless, you'll receive the 80,000 Alta Bucks by completing the Welcome to Your New Home survey. Enter the Living Quarters to use it, allowing you to buy furniture from the catalog. 24. Developer Sandfall Interactive has announced that the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 soundtrack has managed to top Billboard album charts in the weeks since its release. As fans continue to flock to the mega-hit turn-based RPG, one element that seems to have almost everyone pleased is its music. It’s been a specific highlight for those discussing Sandfall’s debut title on social media, and now, that praise is being reflected across Billboard. Head to the Billboard website and you’ll find that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 currently sits atop both the Classical Albums and Classical Crossover Albums charts. Sandfall also revealed that the soundtrack has managed to make a mark at 13 on the Official Soundtrack Album chart and 31 on the Official Album Download chart. It means players are gravitating to more than just the experience’s story and gameplay as its dreamlike tunes back the entire adventure. The Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 soundtrack is comprised of more than 150 individual tracks, with many boasting hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify. It’s the epic Lumière that has established itself as the most popular track, though, as it has nearly 1.9 million views on YouTube and a little more than 1.9 million streams on Spotify. A video game resonating with music fans in such a way is no doubt a feat to be proud of, but it’s especially impressive considering the soundtrack was handled by composer Lorien Testard, who, as Sandfall stated in an interview with BBC, was discovered on SoundCloud. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launched for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S (as well as Game Pass) April 24, 2025, less than two weeks ago. In that time, it’s managed to blow past the 2 million copies sold milestone, securing Sandfall’s first game as quite the success story. It’s seen so much praise that French President Emmanuel Macron even chimed in to offer his congratulations. For more on how Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s reception, you can read up on why Sandfall doesn’t believe the surprise launch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered impacted its sales.
