The Magic: The Gathering card Dystopia has jumped in value, with a 323% increase in the past 12 days. This Enchantment card has risen from about $8.50 on November 1, to $36 right now, and it's all thanks to an unofficial format that isn't even sanctioned by Wizards of the Coast. Bond Stars are arguably the most important currency to find in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road, and they will allow you to get new characters. Once you obtain Bond Stars inside the game, you'll be able to use them in the Chronicle Mode to unlock new characters. Here's the catch, however, you can't get Bond Stars from Chronicle Mode. This guide will help you earn the Bond Stars and then use them to get the new characters. Table of contentsHow to get Bond Stars in Inazauma Elevent Victory RoadHow to use Bond Stars in Inazuma Eleven Victory RoadHow to get Bond Stars in Inazauma Elevent Victory Road While you can use Bond Stars in the Chronicle Mode, you'll have to play the Competition Mode to earn them. The easiest way to get Bond Stars is by playing online matches against other players. Both ranked and casual lobby matches qualify for this. Screenshot by Destructoid Once you complete an online match, you'll get Bond Stars irrespective of the results. As of writing, I have yet to find any other way of obtaining Bond Stars outside the online matches. Thankfully, you don't need to win an online match if you're looking to earn Bond Stars. How to use Bond Stars in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road Once you have earned Bond Stars, you can use them in the Chronicle Mode. Just follow the step-by-step methods to complete the process. Open the Chronicle Mode from the main menu.Select Player Universe.Open a constellation you like, and unlock a node. Once you unlock the node, you'll obtain spirits of any character that's available inside that node. Screenshot by Destructoid To use the Bond Stars, you'll need at least five of them. You can always check the complete list of spirits by clicking on Available Characters from the bottom-right corner of the screen. I would always advise you to do this before spending the Bond Stars. Every node has a pool of Common, Rare and Hero characters. The odds of obtaining the spirit of a high-tier character are significantly less. The spirit you get will be handed to you at random (think like a gacha). Screenshot by Destructoid If you're looking to find a specific character, use the Constellation Search feature. You can search either by Team Dock or by their names. The search results will come up with all the nodes that feature your desired character. Proceed opening the nodes with your Bond Stars and hope to get lucky. The post How to get and use Bond Stars in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article
Forget ****** Friday. If you're looking for a Samsung SSD deal, there's no need to wait, as you can currently save up to $130 on the ultra-fast Samsung 9100 Pro, putting this drive at its lowest price we've yet seen. As the second-fastest SSD we've ever tested, it's also a proper performance drive, and not some bargain bin option. The only reason this drive doesn't sit on the main list of our best gaming SSD guide right now is because the WD ****** SN8100 just snuck past it for overall speed, making that drive the fastest PCIe 5 SSD we've tested. However, the Samsung 9100 Pro is only a fraction slower, and its discounts right now make it a great buy, even if the WD ****** SN8100 can also be found at competitive prices. God I ******** love Dispatch. AdHoc Studios has more than embraced the spirit of what made the very best Telltale Games so good. It has it all: a fabulously eclectic cast, actual narrative-defining decisions, ridiculously funny writing that never feels out of place, and neatly embedded gameplay elements. Suffice it to say, I have had a blast following the puny Robert Robertson III through his day-to-day in the dispatch box. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, as today marks the release of Dispatch's finale. Read the rest of the story... I feel like people forget just how massive World of Warcraft is. Sure, you get that from the 'MMO' part, but Azeroth's story is decades in the making, with spinoffs galore (from Hearthstone to Warcraft Rumble) and a collection of amazing novels to boot. But World of Warcraft Classic feels like it's for the more 'hardcore' fans - people who forgive the vanilla version's bugs and quirks for the sake of nostalgia. I find myself falling into that category. While The War Within felt like a step in the right direction, the specter of Shadowlands and the underwhelming Dragonflight still loom large. As the WoW Midnight beta opens its doors, one fan asked game director Ion Hazzikostas about the state of Classic, which has taken somewhat of a back seat in the past few months. It's a great time to start playing Age of Wonders 4, whether you're already a fan of Triumph Studios and Paradox's magical 4X game or have always been tempted to try it. Quietly one of the strategy giant's strongest series, its sense of character rivals the likes of Total War Warhammer 3. Now, the new Age of Wonders DLC, Thrones of Blood, allows you to embody the might of an elder vampire, and it's accompanied by a major overhaul in the form of the Gargoyle update. The latter includes improved onboarding for new players, as well as a free weekend that lets you get a taste of the base game for nothing. Read the rest of the story... Arc Raiders publisher Nexon has defended the game's use of generative AI, suggesting players should "assume that every game company is now using AI." Arc Raiders, like developer Embark's 2023 shooter, The Finals, declares it uses AI in development, stating on its Steam store page: "During the development process, we may use procedural- and AI-based tools to assist with content creation. In all such cases, the final product reflects the creativity and expression of our own development team." Embark expanded on this with PCGamesN recently, saying Arc Raiders "in no way uses generative AI whatsoever" and stressed that it instead used "something called machine learning, or reinforcement learning, and that's to do with the locomotion for our larger drones with multiple legs, but there's no generative content whatsoever." However, in the same interview, design director Virgil Watkins added that with regards to its controversial text-to-speech system, it "hire[d] and contract[ed] voice actors for it — it's part of their contract that we use [AI] for this purpose, and that allows us to do things like our ping system, where it's capable of saying every single item name, every single location name, and compass directions. That's how we can get that without needing to have someone come in every time we create a new item for the game." Now, in a fresh interview with Game*Spark (as translated by Automaton), Junghun Lee, CEO of Arc Raiders' publisher Nexon, not only championed AI for improving "efficiency in both game production and live service operations," but also stated: "I think it's important to assume that every game company is now using AI." “First of all, I think it’s important to assume that every game company is now using AI," Lee said. "But if everyone is working with the same or similar technologies, the real question becomes: how do you survive? I believe it’s important to choose a strategy that increases your competitiveness." It certainly feels as though Lee's comments ring true. EA CEO Andrew Wilson has said AI is "the very core of our business," and Square Enix recently implemented mass layoffs and reorganized, saying it needed to be "aggressive in applying AI." Dead Space creator Glen Schofield also recently detailed his plans to “fix” the industry in part via the use of generative AI in game development, and former God of War dev Meghan Morgan Juinio said: "... if we don’t embrace [AI], I think we’re selling ourselves short.” Conversely, Nintendo has bucked the trend, with Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto previously stressing that the company would rather go in a “different direction” than the rest of the video game industry when it comes to AI. That said, its use of AI clearly hasn't held Arc Raiders back. It's now sold over 4 million copies worldwide less than two weeks since its release date, cementing its commercial success. Nexon also revealed that the extraction shooter had reached a huge concurrent count of 700,000 players across all platforms. "ARC Raiders raises the bar for extraction shooters pretty much across the board, with an incredibly gripping progression grind, tense fights against NPCs and other players that make for memorable matches, and loot that feels completely worth all the work and stress it takes to obtain it," we wrote in IGN's Arc Raiders review, which returned an 'Amazing' 9/10. "The fact that it manages to also run well and look amazing all the while is just downright impressive, even if a few bugs here and there lead to the rare rage quit. For years I’d been wondering when someone would take the awesome promise of this genre to the next level, and ARC Raiders is without question what I’ve been waiting for." It could not be a better time to be a fan of shooters. Battlefield 6 has managed to recapture the essence of what made the iconic series so good in the first place, while the lure of one more Spaceport run in Arc Raiders has kept me up well beyond my usual bedtime; real degen hours. For the first time in a long time, Call of Duty's status as the go-to shooter for most may have begun to diminish, but the FPS juggernaut won't go down that easily. It takes a lot for even the best horror games to really spook me. Put it down to a very early introduction to Resident Evil as a precocious preschooler, or my annual Halloween pilgrimage through Silent Hill 2. Either way, I've become so desensitized to the tricks of the horror game trade that even the most elaborate jumpscare has become rote. Instead, it's often games that aren't specifically horror that are the most likely to get me spooked, especially ones driven by emergent gameplay. That's where Pacific Drive comes in. If I wanted to party anywhere in the Marvel universe, I'd be reserving my beanbags and buckets of lentil chips for Dr Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum. It's a big posh wizard's mansion, full of shelves of worrisome books and glass cabinets housing all manner of mystical nonsense that would make for an easy conversation starter, and probably some mildly apocalyptic drunken high jinks. I mention this because players of Marvel Rivals appear to agree with me. According to publishers Nexon, a lot of you have been hosting impromptu mixers in the Sanctum Sanctorum when you really ought to be murdering each other dead. They don't call it a "Doom Match" because it's about speed-dating with your mortal adversaries, lads. Still, Nexon are nothing if not bendable in the face of customer whim. The meet-ups in Sanctum Sanctorum have inspired them to release a full-blown non-combat map set in New York's Time Square, where 100 players can rub shoulders without yoinking each other's arms off.
