  1. The Smart Cover skill has made its return to The Division 2, and it's an extremely effective one to unlock. The seventh year of the content marked the launch of the Battle for Brooklyn DLC, and the new skill is part of it. You can unlock it by simply playing the game, and this guide will highlight all the steps to do so. This is the first time since Division 1 that Ubisoft has introduced Smart Cover to the sequel, and it comes with two variants. How to get the Smart Cover skill in The Division 2 First, get the Battle for Brooklyn DLC, which has to be purchased separately (or as part of the new Ultimate Edition). You'll then have to travel to the Brooklyn region, where you'll be able to access the fresh set of missions. The opening quest begins with you taking on the Cleaners, which gives you access to the Bridges HQ. Image via Ubisoft Keep completing the missions until you start the H5 Refinery quest. This mission requires you to blow up the refinery, and you'll then receive a call from Theo telling you that the Bridges HQ is being attacked. Clear all the enemies attacking the headquarters and head inside to start a cutscene. Once the cutscene is over, you'll have unlocked the Smart Cover skill. You can then equip this skill from the selection menu. Smart Cover skill stats in The Division 2 The Smart Cover skill has two variants: Fortified and Precision. The two variants are perfect for different playstyles: Fortified enhances your survivability, while Precision increases your damage potential. Here are the detailed stats for both variants. 9. Earlier this week, EA did the thing they oh so frequently loves to do, which is making a bad decision. This time, it was cancelling Marvel's ****** Panther, alongside shutting down the two year old studio that was making it, Cliffhanger Games. As every single announcement like this over the past few years has been, it was an incredibly frustrating one that can't be justified. Now, a new report from Bloomberg has shed a bit of light on why it was cancelled, as well as what the game might have been like. Read more View the full article

  12. New Genshin Impact 6.X leaks have emerged, and while they provide a better window for when Varka may be released as a playable character, there is some bad news for players eagerly awaiting his arrival. Version 6.0 and the release of Nod-Krai should still be a few months away, as the action RPG by HoYoverse is still in Version 5.6 and has yet to go through Version 5.7 and, possibly, Version 5.8. The team has been listening to community feedback since the round-based alternative launched, and is already outlining the changes coming in Season 17 and beyond that'll overhaul the experience. 15. Elden Ring Nightreign is, to the surprise of no one, off to a bit of a flying start (even if not everyone is completely in love with it just yet). I have no intention of diving into it just yet, in part because the solo experience doesn't interest me all that much, and I don't really want to be matched up with two other randos that would surely abandon me the moment I forget what my character can do. There isn't a duos option either, the thing I'm actually after, something that was a bit forgotten about during development, but might be coming further down the line. The power of modding always comes through however, as despite only launching yesterday, there's already a seamless co-op mod that allows for duos. Read more View the full article

  17. While there are many differences between the original Elden Ring and Nightreign, the thing I'm having the most difficult time adjusting to has nothing to do with the multiplayer experience. In fact, I spent quite some time suffering through solo runs when the servers were down, and I realized what's missing for me is that same sense of awe that I got when I first played Elden Ring. Exploring the Lands Between was an expansive and majestic experience, and it gave you a feeling that the world was ******* than anything you could have imagined. View the full article
