More than 20 years later, the original Painkiller is back. A brutal shooter coming off the back of games like Quake, Doom, and Serious Sam, this demonic FPS is one we definitely don't talk about much these days, even though we absolutely should. With some gargantuan bosses, gorgeous levels, and an array of vicious weapons, the game is mostly lost to time. Until now, that is, as this Painkiller RTX mod recently got an update, and it completely revamps the experience to feel entirely new. Read the rest of the story... The co-founder of CD Projekt Red says the studio has learned over time that it should stick to what it knows best. In the company’s official AnsweRED podcast, co-founder Marcin Iwiński and joint-CEO Adam Badowski were discussing the biggest challenges which are faced during game production. Iwiński noted that one of the most important things the studio has realised since its inception is that it should resist the temptation to experiment with other genres or features that the studio isn’t usually associated with, because there’s no guarantee it can deliver those to a similarly high standard. Netflix has revealed a first look at the live-action Chopper that'll appear in the second season of One Piece, and we have to say, we are pleasantly surprised by what we have seen so far. Not much had been known about the design for some time until this shadow drop, but after watching the video, seeing how Chopper is animated, interacts, and talks. It's a pretty faithful recreation of the lovable reindeer doctor in our eyes. But see for yourself. [Hidden Content] Netflix announced that actor Mikaela Hoover (Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3, Superman) provided Chopper’s voice and also handled the motion-capture for the character during the Netflix 2025 Tudum stream. Season two will also see a host of new actors, playable characters from the Alabasta arc of the manga, with some of the more notable characters including: Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday/Nefertari ViviJoe Manganiello as Mr. 0/CrocodileLera Abova as Miss All Sunday/RobinKatey Sagal as Dr. KurehaMark Harelik as Dr. HirilukBrendan Sean Murray as BrogyCallum Kerr as SmokerClive Russell as CrocusJulia Rehwald as TashigiDavid Dastmalchian as Mr. 3Rigo Sanchez as DragonRob Colletti as WapolTy Keogh as Dalton Not everyone is convinced by the first look of Chopper, though, if initial comments are anything to go by, so I wanted to ask what you, the reader, think of the redesign. Is it a faithful recreation? Are there things that don't sit right with you? I want to hear your opinion. The over consensus I've been seeing is that the design doesn't reflect a certain pre-timeskip design Chopper had and feels like a mix of multiple designs all thrown into one. I don't really see an issue with it myself, and the smaller teaser has honestly made me want to see more of the character. Like, what will his different forms look like? Such as his human form and all his Rumble Ball forms. I need to know! Let me know in the comments below what you think about the design. Atomfall wasn't as good as it could have been when it launched in March, mainly due to its barebones combat and anaemic stealth and survival systems. But I nonetheless enjoyed exploring Rebellion's eerie take on the Lake District while unravelling the mystery behind the catastrophe at the Windscale Power Plant. I'd be more than happy to ramble through a little extra of that world, and it just so happens that more Atomfall will wash up on the Cumbrian coast next week... Read more.View the full article

It's difficult to think of games whose soundtrack had a ******* impact on an entire generation than the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series. Popular music had been a part of games for decades: Journey Escape for the Atari 2600 was a particularly weird example, and the use of Song 2 by Blur in FIFA: Road to World Cup 98 was iconic. But the Tony Hawk series was the first to use punk music in this way, and for many kids from the suburbs and the country, it was the first time they interacted with punk... EA Sports College Football 26 will once again feature the Road to Glory mode, this time with a big change to distinguish it from last year's iteration. College Football 25 marked a strong return for the series, bringing the dormant IP back for the first time since NCAA Football 14. Keeping up that momentum will require continued innovation, though, and College Football 26's Road to Glory mode appears to be keeping that in mind. View the full article

While it features a solid gameplay loop that's attracted a wide audience, Elden Ring Nightreignhas received some nearly unanimous criticism from players who both like and loathe the game. The title is missing some of the important multiplayer functions that would make it feel like a complete experience, a frustrating situation that nonetheless makes sense given FromSoftware's odd approach to multiplayer in its games thus far. These issues are more glaring in Nightreign specifically, as it focuses on the multiplayer experience, and two missing features have received the most attention. View the full article
In BitLife, becoming president of a school club is often a great path to pursuing careers in acting, music, modeling, and more. In the case of acting, joining your school's drama club is the way to go, letting you boost your acting skills each year as you age up. Table of contentsHow to join a Drama Club in BitLifeHow to become president of the school's Drama Club in BitLifeHow to join a Drama Club in BitLife You'll have two chances to join your school's drama club in BitLife. The first option is available in middle school, accessible by selecting School, Middle School, and then Activities. From here, you have a chance to find the drama club as you scroll through the list. It isn't guaranteed, but the odds are higher than most other clubs. There's also a chance you'll find it in high school a few years later. Screenshot by Destructoid However, not just anyone can join the drama club. First, you need high grades. Having high smarts stats is the easiest way to raise your grades, but you can also work hard to study each year to increase them gradually. Once you reach around 70 percent, you'll be allowed to join the club. How to become president of the school's Drama Club in BitLife Although you only need high grades to join the drama club, becoming the president requires having strong acting skills. You can take acting lessons by heading into Activities, Mind and Body, and Acting Lessons. Make sure to apply as soon as you enter Middle or Secondary school. Screenshot by Destructoid If you don't have Bitizenship or the Movie Star special career pack, you'll have to watch ads each time you take these classes. You also have to get approval from your character's parents or wait until you reach adulthood. The latter means you won't get the chance to join the drama club and become president, so make sure your character's parents say yes as soon as you ask. Each time you take acting lessons, your acting skills will slowly increase. If you have the Acting special talent from the Movie Star career pack, you'll see a much larger boost with each lesson. You don't need to max your acting skills, but having around 50 percent mastery is usually enough. It's also important to join the drama club as soon as possible. If you wait until your last year, you won't have enough time to become president, even if you have high acting skills. The sooner you join, the higher your odds of being nominated to become president. More often than not, they'll ask you to become secretary or vice president first before making you president in your final year. Agreeing to the role will enable you to become president of the drama club, allowing you to complete relevant achievements and challenges, as well as pursue future career aspirations. One of the best uses for this is for completing BitLife's Trailblazing Superstar challenge, but the acting skill boost from joining can also benefit your character's movie and TV star success if you pursue this career path.
