Apparently, Stardew Valley players are still learning lessons the hard way, and it became clear to one unfortunate fan that you could actually have your wedding day ruined if you don't understand how things work. It requires a bit of work to fashion and craft your own wedding clothes in Stardew, and it turns out that all that work will be for nothing if you don't end up wearing the clothes the night before your wedding. The far reaches of space are a strong setting for strategy games. From Stellaris and Homeworld 3 through to Endless Legend 2 and Sins of a Solar Empire 2, there are plenty of genre entries that look to either realistic or fantastical versions of space as the framework for their design. This remains the case with Stellar Reach, a recently announced space strategy game in the vein of Civilization 7 that's long been in development at a new studio formed by Creative Assembly and Ubisoft veteran, James Miller. Date Everything! is officially out on all platforms, and I'm dying to know who you're romancing first. There's no limit to how many characters you can fall in love with, but I'm sure you've got your favorites, and I do too. There's really something to love about every single character, even if you only love to hate them, so picking favorites is a tough call with this one. And you can go back to romancing every single one of them soon, but first, let's talk about who we love just a bit more than the rest. Image via Sassy Chap Games The first character I really fell in love with was Curt & Rod, the duo behind the curtains you find all around the house. Their banter is endlessly charming, and I genuinely laughed out loud at a lot of their dialogue. They've got impeccable chemistry, and I spent a charge every single day to build my relationship with them. If I had to choose one character, it'd be them, although it does feel a bit like cheating since they're a duo. Sophia the safe hidden up in the attic is another one of my favorites. She reminds me a lot of Emma Frost in Marvel Rivals (same voice actor, so that makes even more sense now) and Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil. She's scary and intimidating, but also incredibly gorgeous and intriguing. Along the same theme, I feel like I have to mention Nightmare, the literal embodiment of nightmares, whom I can see a lot of players loving. Betty is another character who feels a bit similar, although she's got a real sweet side once you get to know her. I'll admit, the moment I recognized Drysdale's voice during our first conversation, I knew he'd be one of my favorites, too. I can't help but fall in love with Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3 over and over again, no matter what form he takes, apparently. At least I can romance everyone else around the house, too, so I don't have to feel as bad about it. Screenshot by Destructoid I'm also a sucker for the characters with emotionally driven stories, like Eddie & Volt. I certainly didn't expect to get a bit teary-eyed while playing this game, but there's a specific scene involving these two that genuinely moved me. I'm not really sure whether I love him or love to hate him, but Doug is another iconic character who comes to mind when I'm thinking of favorites. He seems like a real jerk at first, but there's actually a lot more to him, depending on how you respond to his dialogue, and he's also got some of the best genuinely funny lines. He even makes you play the worst game of Sudoku in the world, and it's as annoying as it is hilarious. There are also lots of characters I enjoyed having as best friends, like Beverly, Dorian, Zoey Bennett, Reggie, Freddy, and Holly. Admittedly, I did try to romance Dorian the door, but it hasn't gone well, so I guess you could say he shut things down between us. Screenshot by Destructoid I could rave about every single character in this game endlessly, but now I want to know what you think. So, Destructoid, which Dateables are your favorites? Are they any of the ones I mentioned here, or someone I missed? There's something to love about all 100 characters you can meet around your house, so let us know your thoughts down in the comments! The post POLL: Date Everything! is out now. Who is your favorite Dateable? appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article

Bungie has delayed Marathon indefinitely. Marathon is an upcoming extraction shooter from the same studio behind mega-popular FPS games like Halo and Destiny. Unfortunately, Marathon has not received nearly the same kind of warm welcome as Bungie's past franchises enjoyed. The game has found itself at the center of an art plagiarism controversy, and its Alpha test didn't exactly light the world on fire. View the full article

Sure, GTA 5 and GTA Online have been with us for years now, with dozens of big updates adding new features and content to the Los Santos sandbox. However, there are still some highly-requested things that Rockstar hasn't got around to implementing. One such feature is mansions - while lavish ********** apartments are all well and good, players have long wanted massive, decadent homes to symbolize the millions (or sometimes billions) of dollars they've accrued over the years. Well, today's latest major update to GTA Online may be teasing the addition of mansions, hopefully just in the nick of time before GTA 6 arrives. Read the rest of the story... When you imagine what kind of game a new studio formed by former members of the teams behind Bioshock and Borderlands might make, you probably envision a science fiction FPS in the vein of The Outer Worlds 2 or Atomic Heart 2. Surprisingly, though, the debut from Stray Kite Studios, a company that includes veterans of the above games, is something else entirely: a roguelike fantasy tactics RPG that draws as much from Diablo 4 as it does Baldur's Gate 3 and XCOM 2. Now, you can see exactly what that game, Wartorn, plays like for yourself, as it's just launched in Early Access on Steam. Read the rest of the story... FBC Firebreak marks quite the departure for Remedy Entertainment. The studio is renowned for its story-driven single player experiences, including the likes of Alan Wake, Control, and Max Payne. Firebreak, on the other hand, is a co-op FPS in the vein of Left 4 Dead and Helldivers 2. It's set in the Control universe, sure, but it's about as far from Jesse Faden's adventure you could get. Now that Firebreak is here, however, it hasn't been going down well on Steam. Read the rest of the story... RELATED LINKS: Can you play FBC Firebreak solo? Bungie has officially delayed its shooter Marathon, claiming that it needs more time to refine and test the game.
