Screenshot by Destructoid Tomodachi Life Living the Dream launches on April 16, but depending on where you are, you might be able to jump in and start playing as early as April 15. An official launch time hasn't been confirmed, but most Nintendo games tend to go live at midnight for each region's most eastern timezone, which translates to 11pm CT on April 15 or 4am UTC on April 16. The official launch time likely won't be shared ahead of release, as they usually aren't for most games, but since this is when the majority of Nintendo titles release, there's a high likelihood this one will, too. If a different time is announced, we'll update with it here, so you can keep checking back leading up to the launch to ensure you're up to date. Like all Nintendo titles, this game is a platform exclusive, so you must have one of these two consoles to dive in. Luckily, it is available on both versions, so you can still join in on the fun if you're using the original Switch. Tomodachi Life Living the Dream features Screenshot by Destructoid Tomodachi Life Living the Dream is a cozy social simulation game where you can design Mii characters to populate and live out their lives on an island. These characters can be you, your friends, your family, original creations, or ones straight out of shows, movies, and other such content. You get to fully design each character, down to their voice and personality traits. Once each character arrives on the island, the fun and chaos begin, as you can then help them get to know other residents. Design your island, buy new clothes for characters, learn their likes and dislikes, and help your Miis develop meaningful bonds, whether they be friendship or something more. You're given a lot of freedom in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream, so what unfolds around your island is entirely up to you. Overall, this game is all about chaos, drama, silliness, and creativity, so get ready to let your imagination run wild when it arrives on April 16. Windrose — the new pirate adventure formerly known as Crosswind — is out now in early access, debuting to 'Very Positive' reviews on Steam. The PvE survival game sees you build, craft, and fight your way across a vast open world "filled with dark secrets," offering challenging bosses and "soulslite" combat. It's already clocked an impressive concurrent peak of 25,876 players on launch day, a number that has continued to increase while I've been writing this story. Of the over 130 early access reviews left on Steam already, 90% are positive, championing the building, exploration, and combat, with just a few unhappy players reporting issues with the combat and stamina and one-shot deaths. "The Pirate game we were waiting for!!!" exclaimed one happy pirate. "Amazing Early Access content and gameplay. The game is not easy at first so be aware, user can lower the difficulty if needed. All in all solid 8.5/10 for Early Access game." Another wrote: "Did you enjoy ****** Flag? You're in for a treat. Did you enjoy Valheim? You're in for a treat. Do you speak Pirate? Yargghh in for treat, matey. Also, very well optimized." For those who missed it, Windrose underwent considerable changes throughout development, including changing both the original name of the game (from Crosswind to Windrose) and the name of the studio that developed it (from Windrose Crew to Kraken Express). It has also moved away from its original plan to be an MMO and is now categorized as an open-world survival game. While it's tempting to compare it to fellow swashbuckler Sea of Thieves, players who have spent time with Windrose's demo are quick to remind interested folk that this is "practically nothing like" Rare's action-adventure game, given Windrose focuses on PvE, not PvP. While it's admittedly early days, Windrose has made a "strong first impression" in IGN's review-in-progress, too. "With its skill-focused pistol-and-blade ground combat and dastardly difficult bosses, I'm hooked by its exploration and progression," we wrote. "I'll be updating this review as I discover new things, with a final verdict to come once I've seen all this Early Access release has to offer." Here are 14 essential Windrose tips to get you started. There’s a lot of chatter today about Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 possibly being in the works at Insomniac, after the face model for Peter Parker posted a picture to social media then swiftly deleted it. Peter Parker face model Ben Jordan posted an image to Instagram showing the actor in motion capture gear, alongside the message: "IYKYK." There was even a spider emoji, just to hammer home the point. While the image was deleted, the internet picked up on it. SPIDER-MAN’S FACE MODEL JUST CONFIRMED THE NEXT SPIDER-MAN TITLE!!! HE’S GETTING SCANNED!! [Hidden Content] — Mehmet Witch ᱬ (@WeBeenCroft) April 13, 2026 Developer Insomniac Games recast the face model for Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered for PS5, with Jordan replacing John Bubniak. At the time, Insomniac creative director Bryan Intihar said the decision was about "finding a better facial match for actor Yuri Lowenthal." While Insomniac is readying Marvel’s Wolverine for release later this year, talk of another Spider-Man game should come as little surprise. The question is, is Jordan’s tease about Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, or a spinoff? Wesley is Director, News at IGN. Find him on Twitter at @wyp100. How do you get a ship in Windrose? It isn't long in Windrose before you are forcefully removed from your vessel and left to rot on some deserted island - the aim for many, including us, was to find something seaworthy as soon as possible so we could exact sweet revenge. Eventually, you'll most likely be using Windrose fast travel to get around the place, but until then, or for those who enjoy the grind of a long voyage, you'll need to get a ship as fast as possible. How do you fast travel in Windrose? It can take a little while to find your feet on that starting island; there are trees to cut down, rocks to smash, and more than a few dodos to fight. The Subnautica 2 drama has, perhaps, been one of the most high-profile cases in a long time. After publisher Krafton confirmed that it was moving towards an AI-first development approach, we saw the surprise replacement of key members of the Unknown Worlds staff team, including co-founders Charlie Cleveland and Max McGuire, as well as president Ted Gill. Krafton claimed that "the former leadership abandoned the responsibilities entrusted to them," claiming that Cleveland was distracted by a "personal film project" and that "the absence of core leadership resulted in repeated confusion in direction and significant delays in the overall project schedule." Sea-faring adventure Windrose can be played solo, but you can also share the exploits with your buddies. The dedicated servers can support co-op for up to four people. However, you can also have more if you manage your own servers. Either way, let's look at how you can explore the sea with your buddies on the same ship. Table of contentsHow to invite your friends to WindroseHow to join a friend's game in WindroseHow to invite your friends to Windrose The process of playing with your buddies begins by inviting them to your game (I am assuming that you're the host). For starters, add all of them to Steam, as it will make the process simpler. You can send them a friend request using their IDs. Screenshot by Destructoid You can start to play online, but if you want to invite your friends, you'll need to host a game. Select a save: you can either use your own save or create a new one for the co-op experience. Once done, you'll get an invite code (refer to the image above). Screenshot by Destructoid Share this ID with your friends, and they will then have to enter the code. Once done, all of you can play together. You can create your own server name, and also add a password for an extra layer of protection. As I said, the official servers can have a maximum of four players at any given time. There are many different secret locations hidden all throughout your main village in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One of the tougher spots to find and visit is the ominous Cursed Cave, a spot that unlocks fairly early on in your journey but is easy to forget about. As you progress, you'll encounter several main storyline missions and friendship quests that task you with visiting this location. Tracking down this hidden area can be rather tough, so here's where to find the Cursed Cave in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Table of contentsCursed Cave location in Disney Dreamlight ValleyHow to find the Cursed Cave in Disney Dreamlight ValleyWhat's the Cursed Cave for in Disney Dreamlight Valley?Cursed Cave location in Disney Dreamlight Valley Screenshot and remix by Destructoid The Cursed Cave, also sometimes known as the Mysterious Cave, is located near the far northeast end of the Dazzle Beach biome in DDV. This spot is different from the Mystical Cave, which exists within the same biome, but is instead found and accessed from the middle grassy area. This hidden area is marked with a light blue Mickey house icon, which is the same icon that marks villager houses, except in a lighter color. It's the only spot in the valley with this unique version of he icon, so it's easy enough to find once you know what you're looking for. There's only one entrance to this spot, and unlike most houses and buildings, it cannot be moved. How to find the Cursed Cave in Disney Dreamlight Valley Finding and entering the Cursed Cave can be pretty tough even when you do know where to look, as it's tucked away in a hidden corner area you might struggle to pinpoint. Here's a full breakdown of how to venture into this location. Travel to the Dazzle Beach biome. It's best to walk down the ramp that leads into this area from the south end of Forest of Valor or the east end of Peaceful Meadow, as these two get you closest to the right area. You can arrive in this biome from anywhere, though. Make your way east along the beach. Regardless of where you start off in this biome, head east as much as you can. You need to reach the far northeast corner of the biome to access the cave. When you reach the east end, turn around. After traveling as far east as you can, pan the camera back the way you came. Look for the yellow lamp and wooden barrels in front of the cave. These furnishings can be found right in front of the cave entrance. As soon as you spot them, approach the cave to head inside. Screenshot by Destructoid What's the Cursed Cave for in Disney Dreamlight Valley? The Cursed Cave is an important quest location, and also the spot where you first meet Ursula when working on unlocking her as a valley villager. There are many different missions that ask you to explore this spot for various items, including: Story questsWith Great Power… (Merlin) The Forgotten Relics (Merlin) Forgotten Relics: Beach Toys (Ursula) Friendship questsThe Glittered Gala (Daisy) Curious About Critters (Timon)The Timon Talk (Timon) Preposterous Premonitions (Sally)Canine Cuisine (Lady)A Raccoon's Return (Pocahontas)Dream Bundle questsYour Sunday Best (Wall-E) Since this location pops up in quests fairly often, it's a good area to learn and remember the location of early on. You'll need to venture back here many times as you progress, so be sure to keep it in mind whenever characters ask you to visit a secret cave. Rockstar Games hackers ShinyHunters released the stolen data early, revealing revenue for GTA Online and Red Dead Online. But, crucially, no GTA 6 information appears to have leaked online. The stolen data was viewed by GTA Forums user Lexiture and reported on by Kotaku. It shows GTA Online allegedly generates much more money than Red Dead Online, which doesn't come as a big surprise given the difference in support Rockstar gives each live service. It also shows that PS5 is the platform with the most GTA Online players and revenue, with PC lagging behind even the last generation of consoles on both counts. With the Rockstar leaks circulating, I put this together to illustrate the weekly spending in GTA Online on a platform basis. The data speaks for itself. Per data from GTA Forums, PS5 generates more than half weekly GTA Online bookings, with $4.486M earned per week. Bethesda says it is "aware" of the crashing issues some people are reporting when playing Starfield on PS5 and will address them in a hotfix later this week. Within days of Microsoft launching Starfield on rival console PS5, players began reporting progression-breaking problems on both the base and PS5 Pro models, including freezes, crashes, and save issues. Despite trying a myriad of workarounds, including disabling auto-save, some players have even deemed the highly anticipated port "unplayable" and demanded refunds from Sony. Now, acknowledging the issues on social media, Bethesda Game Studios has responded to unhappy players, writing: "Thanks for sharing your adventures across the Settled Systems this weekend — we’ve loved reading them! "We’re aware of some reported PS5 crashing issues and have narrowed them down to a small number of causes. We’re addressing these in a hotfix we’re aiming to release this week. Thanks for flagging, and we’ll keep you posted." No date was provided for when the fix will go live, nor did the post identify what could be causing the issues, but it'll be good news nonetheless for frustrated fans who struggled to explore the stars over launch weekend. Windrose is out on PC in early access, and the first order of business for you should be to fix the graphics. While the game generally runs well, I have already encountered some notable issues. Most of the problem seems to happen while transitioning between gameplay and loading screens. Thankfully, I managed to erase almost all those problems by making some changes to the graphics settings. Best Windrose video settings Before I deep dive into the settings, here's a summary of my current setup. NVIDIA RTX 3060 12 GB16 GB of DDR5 RAMAMD Ryzen 5600G While my setup is well above the requirements, I did endure some notable lags and stutters while testing the pre-launch versions. Here's a set of settings I am currently running. While you can opt for Balanced, I went with Performance for DLSS. While it does sacrifice the graphical quality of the game to some extent, you get better results.I capped the FPS to 60 to prevent the stutters. This can be increased if you have a better setup than mine, or once we get a few post-launch patches.Keeping VSync turned on also seemed to result in longer loading screens, which I prevented by turning it off. That said, the general performance of Windrose in the early access appears to be pretty stable, and it should smooth out a few post-launch patches. If you're still unsure about the performance, you can always try out the demo before getting a copy. The post Best Windrose graphics for no lag and max FPS appeared first on Destructoid.
