Updated on June 27, 2025: Adjusted the tier list for post-release. While Ancestors are the most powerful units in Silver and Blood, building a team to trigger all three Moon phases for the Blue Moon skill and ultimate buff is the most important mechanic in the game. Your team composition should include one character from each Moon Phase and this strategy along with Classes makes the best teams. You can double up on Vassals from the same Moon Phase just make sure you have Vassals from all three since their Specials trigger their corresponding Moon Phase. That's why I'll be doing a separate Silver and Blood tier list of Vassals for each Moon Phase to find the best Vassals for each one. Table of contentsSilver and Blood Waxing Moon Tier ListSilver and Blood Half Moon Tier ListSilver and Blood Full Moon Tier ListSilver and Blood Reroll Guide Tip: You'll notice that Ancestors (Red Background) dominate the S-Tiers. I wouldn't recommend rolling for them since they're extremely hard to get with below 0.5% chances. Instead, you'll get a free Ancestor selector at 450 pulls and 2 SSR Vassal selectors at 150 and 300. The best SRR to pull are Van Helsing for DPS and Acappella for Support. The best Ancestor to pull depends on your needs to on with the tier lists. Silver and Blood Waxing Moon Tier List Image by Destructoid The Waxing Moon Phase in Silver and Blood is your team's first building block where you pick your Support and/or Tank Vassals. It's full of Defenders and Enchanters so I would pick one of each depending on what you're going to pick up for Half Moon since there are Enchanters there as well. Note that Defenders are important but aren't as OP as in other auto-battler games so I ranked them lower than usual except Ami: Transcendent who's really strong. Here are some highlights: Waxing Moon HighlightsNotes Seth Ancestor Enchanter Magic Damage• Seth is one of the best if not the best healers in Silver and Blood • This is because her heals ignore Anti-Heals and Recovery debuffs • She also auto-heals low HP Vassals in your team Ami: TranscendentAncestor Guardian Physical & Magic Tank• Ami: Transcendent is harder to get than Yggdrasil but is arguably the best Defender/Tank • First, she has her own self HP sustain • Second, she has great Crowd Control to stun enemies and gain DMG Reduction • Third, she's a Hybrid Magic Defense Tank and also Physical with her ultimate • She just needs time to stack up her jellyfishes Yggdrasil SSR Defender Physical Damage• A great alternative to Ami: Transcendent for your Tank slot that's much easier to get • He's a great backbone of any team to tank and carry you for all modes Starry-Eyed AionaSSR Enchanter Magic Damage• A great alternative to Seth and much easier to get • Focuses on Shielding allies and constantly healing them as long as the shield is there • Amazing for PVP as well as PVESilver and Blood Half Moon Tier List Image by Destructoid The Half Moon Vassals are where you can pick up your melee DPS (Full Moon is usually ranged DPS) characters and/or another Support. It's filled with Assassins, Warriors, and Enchanters who are usually a mix of melee DPS and Utility. If you only picked up a Defender for Waxing Moon I highly recommend picking at least one Enchanter from here that being Acappella as the best one (Acappella is easy to get with the selector). That said the Full Moon tier list is where the best DPS Vassals in the game are located. Here are some highlights: Waxing Moon HighlightsNotes Acappella SSR Enchanter Magic Damage• Next to Van Hellsing in Full Moon, Acappella is the best SSR to get with the 50 guaranteed SSR selectors or if you roll her • She's a great support that can buff Physical and Magical damage and more importantly Critical Rate • Her ultimate also increases Energy charge rate which is incredibly strong Ami SSR Enchanter Magic Damage• I prefer Acappella but Ami is also a great SSR support to just get via rolls • Her playstyle makes her tether to another Vassal like a DPS or Defender and act as their secondary health (Best with Defenders)• Both Gilrain (Assassin) and Darcias (Warrior) are decent DPS options if you get them via rolls but don't use selectors for them • Acappella or Van Helsing (DPS Full Moon) are better to get on a selector though Silver and Blood Full Moon Tier List Image by Destructoid You'll find the best DPS Vassals in Silver and Blood in the Full Moon list and they're usually ranged. It's filled with Sorcerers, Hunters, and some Warriors. The Full Moon is your bread and butter for damage and I highly recommend getting Van Helsing via your guaranteed SSR selector. Other than that the most powerful Ancients DPS are here but they're really hard to pull. You'll most likely get them via the 150-300-450 guaranteed Vassal selector. Here are some highlights from the Full Moon lineup: Waxing Moon HighlightsNotes Van Helsing SSR Hunter Physical Damage• The best DPS you can get early via the guaranteed SSR selector • Best SSR DPS • Much easier to get than Ancestor DPSs • Self-boosts Crit Rare, execute damage, and massive AOE damage with Ult Agares: IncendiaryAncestor Sorcerer Magic Damage• Best Magic DPS Vassal in the game • Takes a bit to get used to since he drains his own HP to deal AOE damage • He can revive on death and perform his Ultimate for 0 Energy without HP drain Noah: TranscendentAncestor Hunter Physical Damage• The Ancestor version of the base Noah with a drastically changed playstyle • Summons units when friendly Vassals and Summons die • Massive ult damage that scales with his summoned units • Great DPS and Utility mix Hati: TranscendentAncestor Warrior Physical Damage• Best damage-over-time sustain DPS in the game • All about DOT damage and spreading it • Can switch to burst damage with her Ultimate which immediately pops all DOT stacks for massive burst damageSilver and Blood Reroll Guide Silver and Blood isn't really a game that promotes rerolling because of the chest system where you can get 2 guaranteed SSR Vassals on 150 and 300 pulls and 1 Ancestor Vassal on 450 pulls. This promotes playing the game for longer to get powerful characters over time. However, if you do still want to reroll to get your desired SSR with the opening multi-pulls, here's how: Getting the Opening Pulls: Open up a game with your new account and clear the opening intro and Story 1-4 and claim all the rewards from the different menus, events, passes, and shop. Also do Story 1-5 for more pulls and to unlock the Mail for additional resources. Also, try to complete as many Daily and Weekly missions and claim all our Silver and Blood codes. It takes about 20 minutes to get all the opening pulls and codes. I recommend disabling Skill Animations in Settings>Battle to save time.Who to Roll For (Blue Dawn Banner): You can check out the S and A Tiers for our three tier lists above for the best SSR Vassals to keep with your reroll attempts on Blue Dawn. Generally, Van Helsing is the best for DPS and Acappella is the best support in terms of SSR. Don't roll for Ancients since they're 0.5% or lower. Once you finish all your multi-pulls think about whether you're happy with them and keep playing for the 150-300-450 guaranteed SSR and Ancestor Vassals. If not, you can try to reroll though the game encourages simply playing because of the previously mentioned system. How to Reroll: Rerolling not available on Mobile so this is a PC-only guide. It involves deleting Silver and Blood data from your PC registry so do this at your own risk. Essentially, you want to close the game client, open the Registry Editor via the search bar on your PC, follow this path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nova\Silver and Blood. Then all you have to do is delete all the files in the Silver and Blood folder and relaunch the game to make a new Guest account and you can repeat the reroll process. That's it for our Silver and Blood tier list and reroll guide. Don't forget to check out our Silver and Blood codes for free goodies and if you want a similar game I highly recommend Marvel Mystic Mayhem. Details of a developer-only Call of Duty: ****** Ops 7 playtest have been accidentally released to all fans on the Call of Duty app. This included details of unannounced multiplayer modes, such as a 20v20 wingsuit option. Whoops. "An internal, developer-only ****** Ops 7 playtest was set to begin this weekend," explained CharlieIntel on X/Twitter. "[Activision or developers Treyarch/Raven Software] accidentally pushed the message of the day to everyone on Xbox on the Call of Duty app, instead." CharlieIntel also attached previously unannounced details about multiplayer modes, Skirmish and Overload. Skirmish's description detailed in a screenshot said: "Two teams of 20 fight to compete objectives across a large map. Capture points of interest, destroy payloads, and transmit valuable data to score. Use your wingsuit to flank and reach objectives before your enemy. The first team to reach the score limit wins." There's also Overload, which is described as "two teams of six players each fight to control a neutral EMP device that must be delivered to the enemy HQ for score. Reach the score limit and claim victory by delivering multiple EMP devices." An internal, developer only ****** Ops 7 play test was set to begin this weekend. They accidentally pushed the message of the day to everyone on Xbox on the Call of Duty app, instead. — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) June 27, 2025 Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, Call of Duty: ****** Ops 7 — which was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 earlier this month — is the first ever consecutive release within the ****** Ops sub-series. Matt Cox, General Manager of Call of Duty, insisted that “as a team, our vision from the start was to create a back-to-back series experience for our players that embraced the uniqueness of the ****** Ops sub-franchise.” ****** Ops 7 is set to star Milo Ventimiglia, Kiernan Shipka, and Michael Rooker, with Ventimiglia portraying David Mason, Shipka as new character Emma Kagen, and Rooker reprising his ****** Ops 2 role of Mike Harper. Earlier this month, Activision pulled controversial adverts placed inside ****** Ops 6 and Warzone loadouts, insisting they were a “feature test” published “in error.” It’s worth remembering that ****** Ops 6 is a premium, $70 game, and this year’s ****** Ops 7 is expected to jump to $80 after Microsoft said that gamers will see Xbox charging $79.99 for new, first-party games around the holiday season. And don't forget, Beavis and Butt-Head are now in Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6. Congrats, Andrew! You're almost certainly not reading this, but regardless, it's only polite for me to offer you a big well done, Mr Wilson. After all, you, EA's CEO, were paid $30.5 million (around £22 million) in the financial year just gone, nearly $5 million (around £3.6 million) than you were the one before that. Meanwhile, the company's full-time workers only took home $117,000 (around £85k) on average, down from $149,000 (around £108k) in 2024, and the lowest since 2022, which saw EA employees earn $116,000 (around £84.5k) according to the average EA used. In order to illustrate just how huge the gulf between the cash given to Wilson per year and the median pay of the people under him who actually do the work, Game File's Stephen Totilo has made a hugely stretched graph that's well worth checking out if you want a good laugh followed by a big sigh. Remedy's Control spin-off shooter, FBC: Firebreak, has topped one million players. While the game is free-to-play for Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus subscribers, the studio called it a "significant milestone," despite acknowledging "there is still a lot of work ahead of us." "As of last night, we have surpassed 1 million players in FBC: Firebreak. This is a significant milestone, so thank you for playing from all of us at Remedy," the studio said in a post on social media. "We know there is still a lot of work ahead of us, and we are super-motivated about it. We have a lot of exciting things cooking for Firebreak players! More about that soon." Last week, the team identified a problem with "the first hour experience," saying that FBC: Firebreak's opening gameplay was not "a great experience due to a combination of things," including issues with onboarding, poorly explained systems and tools, and "a lack of clarity as to what to do in the Jobs and how to do the work effectively." The developer also said: "the power fantasy isn't great in the first hours of the game as starting weapons feel weak, and unlocking higher-tier weapons requires a bit too much grinding." "Right now, despite how sparse the story can seem in moments, there’s a lot of fun to be had wrangling erratic monsters in Remedy’s spectacularly absurd bureaucratic setting," we wrote in IGN's FBC: Firebreak review in progress. "I’ll be playing more this week and wrap up this review as soon as I’ve tested the limits of Remedy’s chaotic cooperative job simulator." Remedy also recently confirmed its plans for ongoing support post-launch, including two new Jobs (missions) coming in 2025. More updates will arrive in 2026, the developer said. All playable content released post launch, such as Jobs, will be free to all players. Players have the option to buy cosmetics, but none of these items will affect gameplay, and there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-ins, Remedy insisted. It's a busy time for Alan Wake developer Remedy, which has a number of projects on the go. As well as FBC: Firebreak, it's working on Control 2 and the Max Payne and Max Payne 2 remake compilation. There used to be - and might still be - a tradition at the ***'s Reading music festival where you'd be lying in your sleeping bag at night and you'd suddenly hear a low rumbling in the distance, which would then become indecipherable shouting, which you'd soon realise was rows of campers shouting the word 'bollocks' from their tents in a sort of ******** wave, getting louder and closer as you waited in fizzy anticipation for your turn to shout. You'd then listen to the whole thing play out in reverse as the bollocktide receded into the pleasant autumn twilight. I thought about this as I read multiple headlines referring to the Windows blue screen of death as 'iconic' this morning. Extreme annoyance elevated to the status of folk legend. Mythologising a shared experience of catastrophe. The whole world shouting 'bollocks' together. Read more View the full article
