  2. Among the many details players want to know about Grand Theft Auto 6, its map size is one that's long been theorized and rumored about. Some fans have predicted that GTA 6's world will be the largest in the series, based on what little information has been teased. However, while an enormous map would certainly be ambitious, it could cause more harm than good. View the full article
  3. One of the developers behind the massively popular Battlefield 6 is teasing a potential fix coming to the game's Portal matchmaking system, aimed at giving players the maps they want. The shooter's high-profile launch late last week has served as one of the biggest launches of 2025, with hundreds of thousands of players already jumping into the shooter. Battlefield 6 reported a massive peak player count on Steam on release day, with more than 740,000 players all playing just the Steam version of the game. 5. In the wake of the latest game-breaking Total War Warhammer 3 bug, one of the most dedicated Total War enthusiasts and mod creators decided to leave a negative review on the game they'd put over 3,800 hours into. Naturally, this caught a lot of attention, so I got in touch with them to learn more. Randall Zaioczkowski, best known as 'Dead Baron,' is one of the founders of the Skeleton Crew Modding team, which has put out many impressive additions and fixes for the Total War series and TWW3 in particular. Despite remaining an ardent fan, he says "there have been so many issues I just couldn't ignore" in recent years. Read the rest of the story... 9. Half-Life 3 who? While Gordon Freeman and friends remain trapped in a locker at Valve HQ, Abiotic Factor has proven itself to be far more than a simple twist on the series that inspired it, and I'd happily call it one of the best survival games on PC right now. With its 1.0 launch in the rear-view mirror, developer Deep Field Games has a brand-new roadmap for us, and there's a whole heap to look forward to. On the cards are an absolute wealth of free updates and quality-of-life improvements, along with a couple of pieces of paid DLC and a mystery crossover. Read the rest of the story... Dinolords is one of those ideas that sells itself the second you hear about it, a colourful blend of RTS and ARPG that sees medieval knights and marauding Vikings take to battle on the backs of roaring, stomping, terrible lizards. 13. The Battlefield 6 custom search tool is supposed to be its shortcut around having to delve into the Portal server list. It's a quick way to select exactly which maps and modes you want to play and matchmake into those. The problem is that this doesn't always work. Many players using the feature are finding themselves dropped into games that aren't the one they asked for, as the BF6 matchmaking decides you've been waiting too long for some action. 15. George Lucas is the ultimate source for everything Star Wars, but he was never particularly involved in the long succession of Star Wars video games. For years, he didn't allow LucasArts to develop Star Wars games internally, and he remained relatively hands-off once that rule changed. 19. Every now and then, someone truly innovates on a genre. There are a thousand League of Legends clones out there (I see you, Bang Bang), but to my mind, there's only one game that really took Riot's age-old MOBA formula and revolutionized it. That game is Supervive, an action-heavy, lightning-fast top-down brawler that shakes up the genre by adding verticality and the occasional high-speed train. I played it in various forms ahead of launch, and I once claimed that it would be the game that finally filled the LoL-shaped void in my heart. As my interest in Riot's behemoth hit an all-time low at the start of this year, Supervive looked primed to be the game that my partner and I would play all night, every night. Sadly, that hasn't been the case. Read the rest of the story... 23. Battlefield 6 has four different classes on offer, and you can customize them further with specs once you level up your account. All four classes can be top choices if you spend the time to master their strengths and weaknesses. However, there's a competitive meta inside the game, and some classes will perform better, especially when you divide them based on their specs. This guide will help you understand which classes are well-suited in the current meta of Battlefield 6. Table of contentsComplete Battlefield 6 class tier listS-tier classA-tier classB-tier classComplete Battlefield 6 class tier list The effectiveness of any class in Battlefield 6 depends heavily on your playstyle. You can pick an unpopular class and rock with them if you understand the basics well. I have used three tiers to separate the classes and their specs. S-tier specs work well in every game mode and are also relatively beginner-friendly.A-tier specs are very close to S-tier options, but they have slight weaknesses.B-tier specs are average options unless you spend time to learn and overcoming their weaknesses. Screenshot by Destructoid S-tier classFrontliner (Assault): The Assault class is in a powerful position with the introduction of CBQ, and Frontliner is significantly better than Breacher. Its active ability, Rally Squad, injects all nearby squad members with a temporary Adrenaline that's amazing in close-quarters battles. Quick Recovery allows you to heal faster and better, while Adrenaline Rush will enable you to spread the effects of your Adrenaline Injector to your teammates. Pair with a good Support, and a good Frontliner can get you a high number of kills consistently.Anti-Armor (Engineer): If you're playing any mode outside of CBQ, having Anti-Armor on your team is essential. Any damage you do to vehicles (of every kind) will reduce their repair effectiveness by 50% for 10 seconds. You get to enjoy 15% faster reload speeds on the launcher and get extra rockets. Without Anti-Armor, it's impossible to take down enemy vehicles and tanks, which can be a one-way ticket to defeat.Combat Medic (Support): Playing a well-coordinated team with your friends requires a Combat Medic in every mode. You can use your Defib gadget to instant-revive allies when they're down. Doing so automatically heals you, which is a bonus. Your normal heals also happen significantly faster, and the class also makes it quicker for you to drag downed allies. The Combat Medic might not be a flashy spec, but it's necessary for every map and for every team. Otherwise, you'll be losing a lot of time dying and respawning on the map.A-tier classSniper (Recon): The only reason for Sniper to be in A-tier is due to the difficulty in learning the advanced concepts of the class. Once you learn them, the Sniper is easily S-tier. If you headshot an enemy, they can't be revived. When you hit an enemy, it marks their position on the map, while the spec also offers Auto-Spotting over a longer distance. You can hit your enemies harder, better, and announce their position to your team. However, you'll have to ace the art of shooting, as a misfire could prove to be costly.Combat Engineer (Engineer): Almost the antithesis of Anti-Armor, Combat Engineers allow you to preserve your vehicles better. Vehicle Regeneration is a fun ability that allows you to repair a vehicle by just sitting in it. Overheat Control allows your tanks and vehicles to fire longer, while repairing friendly gadgets makes them last longer with higher HP. A note: While Anti-Armor feels more powerful, Combat Engineer is a safer and more stable choice.Fire Support (Support): It took me a couple of rounds to understand how underrated the Fire Support specialization feels. On paper, the class might look useless. However, the reality is quite different, as you can strap an LMG, mount yourself, and keep firing at the enemy to suppress the opposition frontline. You also get quicker ammo resupplies (applies to your teammates) and less incoming damage from explosions. If you want to play it safe and be a good team player, Fire Support is a fun choice.B-tier classBreacher (Assault): The Breacher isn't bad, especially on maps where the strategic entry points are few and far between. However, the abilities compared to Frontliner's are inferior. Agile Shooter works well in run-and-gun situations, but you might not always rely on that. Extra Grenades is a pretty insignificant modifier, while Unrelenting Reload's 15% faster reload for Incendiary-based Shotguns and projectile launchers is situational in use.Spec Ops (Recon): Like Breacher, Spec Ops falls flat due to its abilities. Low Profile only works if you're proning all the time (which isn't possible in every situation). Spotting enemy gadgets near you can be helpful and allow you to prevent stepping on a mine, but the use-case scenario is niche. I didn't find too much use of Stealth Tactics either, so the Spec Ops specialization could do with a buff or two. Like our content?
