  1. Hollow Knight Silksong patch 4 has just landed in public beta on Steam, making this Team Cherry's second update of the week. The developer clearly isn't ready to stop tweaking its masterpiece yet, and this latest overhaul includes some welcome improvements to controller support and a first pass at a new Simplified ******** translation, which led to the game being review-bombed by players in China. 2. If you're ready to dive in with a big clicker upgrade, then this Razer gaming mouse deal is a great candidate. The Razer Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed is on ***** at Amazon right now with a huge 29% discount, dropping the price down to just $70.99, the lowest we've seen it on Amazon so far. We praised the wired version of this mouse in our Razer Deathadder V3 review, thanks to its performance, build quality, and easy-to-hold, lightweight design. This wireless Razer Hyperspeed upgrade comes in at an even lighter 55g, which still makes it one of the lightest options out there for gamers, even compared to the models in our best gaming mouse guide. 3. PC maker Maingear has just spawned a hellish new special edition Doom gaming PC range into its catalog, with the new machines making several nods to id's classic shooter franchise across the years. There's loads of Dark Ages lore, of course, but as a veteran PC gamer who's played every single Doom game since the first one ground my 20MHz 386 into molten lava, I also love seeing some nods to the grimacing Doom Guy marine in the first game. The new Maingear Doom Edition is built around the HAVN HS 420 Doom The Dark Ages Limited Edition case, which, to be fair, has saved the PC builder from a lot of work. Using this case means the PC already has the appropriate green and red color scheme, as well as a circle of the game's runic lettering on the side panel, and loads of Doom lettering inside. As we found in our HAVN HS 420 review, the basic case underneath the design is fantastic as well, earning it a listing as our favorite premium case on our best PC case guide. Not only does the game not give you any hint of where to take these items to, but the place where you can trade them is easy to miss. Trading these items is worth the hassle, though. You can use the Colorful Screws to buy Canari Plush, which give you extra catch rate, experience, and other bonuses depending on the color you pick. Once you buy a Canary Plush, its bonus is automatically active. Here's where to trade your Colorful Screws for Canari Plush in ZA. 14. There are already over 50 characters who call the valley home in Disney Dreamlight Valley, with more arriving consistently every month or so. The village is already quite vast, but DDV sees new updates fairly frequently, with plenty more planned to arrive in 2026. Knowing who is on their way can be helpful if you're looking to set up a spot for them to live ahead of time. It's also nice to know what there is to look forward to, so you can see whether your favorite characters are arriving in the village anytime soon. If you're eager to learn about what's coming next, here's the roadmap for all planned Disney Dreamlight Valley updates in 2026 so far. Table of contentsAll planned Disney Dreamlight Valley updates for 2026Early 2026 Lady and the Tramp update in Disney Dreamlight ValleySpring 2026 Pocahontas update in Disney Dreamlight ValleySummer 2026 Hercules update in Disney Dreamlight ValleyAll upcoming characters in Disney Dreamlight ValleyAll planned Disney Dreamlight Valley updates for 2026 Screenshot by Destructoid There are three confirmed DDV updates for the first half of 2026 so far. We'll get more details about them as they draw closer to release, and a fresh roadmap will be launched once we're mostly through everything this one entails. Here's a full breakdown of everything we know about the updates arriving in 2026. Early 2026 Lady and the Tramp update in Disney Dreamlight Valley The first big DDV update of 2026 is themed around Lady and the Tramp. The teaser for it says, "Bond over spaghetti and meatballs" alongside a picture of the Lady and the Tramp table we currently have in the valley. In the 2025 showcase stream, the devs said we'll get to meet a "lovable canine couple with a craving for spaghetti and meatballs" in this update, so it sounds like we're getting both Lady and the Tramp in this one. This update is arriving early on in the year, likely in January or February. Spring 2026 Pocahontas update in Disney Dreamlight Valley The second planned update for 2026 is Pocahontas themed. The teaser for this one says, "Discover the beauty of nature alongside a free-spirited adventurer." Pocahontas's signature necklace is sitting on the ground next to a raccoon and some swirling leaves, highlighting that she's the star of this update. She's the only confirmed character, and there aren't many others from her film who feel like a good fit for the valley, so it's likely we'll only see her in this update. We might also see a new Realm in this update. With Pocahontas's arrival in 2026, we'll officially have all the Disney princesses except for Raya. This update is debuting sometime in Spring 2026, likely March or April, depending on when the first update arrives. Summer 2026 Hercules update in Disney Dreamlight Valley Screenshot by Destructoid We've already got Hades in the valley with The Storybook Vale DLC, but the world of Hercules is expanding with the Summer 2026 update. This update is certain to include the titular protagonist himself and likely at least one other character. The teaser for this one says we'll "embark on a mythological adventure," which likely means that it comes with a new Realm to explore. The image featured here is a statue of Phil the satyr next to Hercules' signature sandals. In the 2025 showcase stream, the devs also mentioned stepping "into a world of myths" to "discover real courage, strength, and perseverance." We usually get a maximum of two new characters in updates, so it's likely we'll see either Megara or Phil join the valley as the second update character. Meg is a bit more of a main character, so I suspect she'll be the one to arrive with Hercules, but it's not confirmed yet. All upcoming characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley As of the time of writing, there are at least nine confirmed characters arriving in the valley throughout the end of 2025 and into 2026. None of the villagers for 2026 has been officially confirmed, but the clues we've gotten can only point to a few individuals, so we do at least have a general idea of what to expect. As any further details emerge teasing who is arriving next, we'll add them here. First up, there's the release of Wishblossom Ranch in November, a DLC packed with new characters to meet, horses to befriend, areas to explore, and much more. 22. There are few games as revered as the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. This prequel entry in the stealth-action series transported players back to the height of Cold War espionage to prevent nuclear armageddon, and the PS2 game still holds up today through its themes and memorable boss fights. But, thankfully, there’s an easier way to play this adventure nowadays, too, since Konami released Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater back in August - a fun remake that brings everything up to an incredible new visual standard. And, just a couple of months on, the game’s Collector’s Edition has gotten a surprising discount at Amazon, with the stacked box coming in at $168.85 - down from the original $199.99 list price. Snake Eater’s Collector’s Edition Discounted, But Is It Worth It? The controversy behind this collector's edition takes a little explaining, so let's dig into what's included and we'll get there. This set come with the game itself (which isn’t a given with some collectors' editions these days), but you get a bunch of tidy memorabilia, too. That's a good start. There’s the fake ID badge Snake uses to break into a restricted area, and a stitched patch for the Fox Unit insignia. There’s also a rubber patch for the opening Halo jump, too, but the biggest draw is supposedly the terrarium diorama. Well, only if you don't look too closely, as the model featured has received some fair criticism for looking a lil' cheap considering the cost. Dubbed "John Metal Gear" by fans, the Snake model does leave you a little wanting in the quality department. Still, if you don't mind that, there's still plenty here for fans to get their hands on while it's a little less expensive - just don't say that I didn't warn you! Extra digital goodies are also packed in, including bonus outfits for Snake, including a gold version, Snake in glasses, and even a frog mask. This includes Snake skulking in the long grass while his equipment bag hangs from the tree above, taken from the opening of Virtuous Mission. Add to that the steelbook case, which includes art from the original PS2 release and you’ve got plenty for collectors to get excited about. Though, the deal only applies to the PS5 version - the Xbox version is still over $200. So, there's not any specific reason why the PS5 version is discounted, there could just still be an overabundance of stock that Amazon is looking to shift. But for now, anyone who wants to pick up the packed collector's edition for PS5 can do so, and with a tidy 16% discount to boot. What a thrill! Our reviewer Michael Higham gave the remake 8 out of 10 in his review, saying “Between its old-school stealth-action gameplay and engaging spy-thriller story, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater largely succeeds as a faithful, visually impressive remake of the 2004 classic.” How to Follow IGN Deals Recommendations The IGN Deals team has over 30 years of combined experience finding the best discounts and preorders available online. 23. Capturing Hawlucha in Pokémon Legends ZA is complicated. The Pokémon is a rare spawn that will force you to go to a specific area south of Lumiose and look for it over and over, until it pops up. Its Pokédex entry says it lives in high places, so it's a hint that you have to look for it on rooftops. Here's where you can find Hawlucha in ZA, if you're lucky. You can climb the one south of the map, where we spotted one, by taking a Hololift you unlock in Side Quest 23. Even though we found Hawlucha at night, its Pokédex entry doesn't specify it's a night Pokémon, so you might still find it during the day. The one we found was Lv. 28. There's no trick to make Hawlucha spawn more often. Leave the area and enter it again if you don't see it at first, which should force all nearby Pokémon to spawn again and give you another chance of spotting a Hawlucha. Hawlucha on the roof. Screenshot by Destructoid. While Hawlucha can theoretically be spotted on the top of any building in Lumiose, we've found its spawn to be more consistent on a building north of Wild Zone 1. If you can't access that area yet but really want to give a shot at finding Hawlucha anyway, try spotting it on other rooftops since this area isn't an exclusive spawn spot. If you haven't completed that side quest but have the Roto-Float from Mission 18, you can float between rooftops to look for Hawlucha more efficiently as well. Spotting it is a game of chance and patience, so be prepared to enter and exit these spawn areas a lot. With a Hawlucha in your party, you can use the Hawluchanite you get from the story to transform it into the mighty Mega Hawlucha.
