Pro players at the top tier of the major esports seem to have it pretty good, with most able to live comfortably between their salaries, winnings, and other sources of revenue. But one Apex Legends pro wants any aspiring players to be realistic about what many consider a dream job. Pro player Will “TeQ” Starck says that over four years, he has made “around $70K” from playing Apex Legends professionally, between team contracts, tournament winnings, and streaming revenue. As TeQ notes though, this averages at roughly $1,500 a month, which he says would put him near the US ******** line (which is currently $15K a year for an individual) if playing Apex was his only job. Fans immediately began buzzing about the possibility of a sequel to Kingdom Come, which earned a loyal following thanks to the way that it grounded its Skyrim-like design in a more realistic medieval open world. [Hidden Content] — Warhorse Studios (@WarhorseStudios) April 11, 2024 Referring to Kingdom Come's protagonist, one fans asked, "Oh my **** are we finally gonna see the rest of Henry's story?" First released in 2018, Kingdom Come Deliverance has consistently topped lists of the best RPGs. We wrote in our review at the time, "There’s a shining suit of mail underneath Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s authentically medieval grime. Strong characters and storytelling, one of my favorite first-person melee combat systems ever, and special attention given to building moment-to-moment immersion come together as a mighty alloy that ranks among the most unique, memorable RPGs I’ve played in years." Kingdom Come: Deliverance is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and also received a Switch release last March. Shortly after the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Warhorse Studios was acquired by Plaion, the company formerly known as Koch Media that includes Deep Silver. Plaion is part of the Embracer Group, which recently underwent layoffs and cancellations amid heavy restructuring. We'll know soon enough what Warhorse Studios has in store. [credit: Amazon ] Amazon has had a rocky history with big, geeky properties making their way onto Prime Video. The Wheel of Time wasn’t for everyone, and I have almost nothing good to say about The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Fallout, the first season of which premiered this week, seems to break that bad streak. All the episodes are online now, but I’ve watched three episodes so far. I love it. I’ve spent hundreds of hours playing the games that inspired it, so I can only speak to that experience; I don’t know how well it will work for people who never played the games. But as a video game adaptation, it’s up there with The Last of Us. Read 31 remaining paragraphs | Comments View the full article
