Amid the joy of concocting random recipes, encountering monstrous failures can be disheartening. Good news, Helldivers 2 players have apparently managed to, er, totally eradicate the galaxy’s supply of ****** automatons by completing that game’s latest major order. Are they actually gone forever? Who knows, but I can tell you that a fresh hotfix is incoming to rectify some crashes that’ve been affecting the late stages of operations. Yup, even though they’re yet to get their hands on any of the fresh ordinance coming as part of the new Democratic Detonation Warbond that'll be available from April 11 onwards, they’ve done a thing. Though, the Terminids have immediately stepped in as the latest threat to ******, so it’s not like things are totally chill on the space front. “You did it, Helldivers. Operation Swift Disassembly was a success! With the bots eradicated and bugs contained, the galaxy is free once more,” an entirely non-suspicious tweet from Arrowhead declared following the completion of the major order to liberate Maia, Tibit and Durgen. While the mission was explicitly framed as an “all-out push” to ******** the automatons, folks have naturally been pretty suspicious that, you know, that’d actually come to fruition. The Strand Super for Titans in Destiny 2, Beyblade, had a different design back in the Alpha version of the Lightfall expansion, and now players want to see that old version return. In the Lightfall Showcase livestream back in 2022, Bungie showcased the Strand subclass and its Supers. The Beyblade showed there was seemingly a one-off Super where the Guardian spins for a short duration and unleashes an unraveling field at the end. On April 7, Destiny 2 players on Reddit asked Bungie to finally give them this scrapped Super. View the full article

"Who will rid me of these tiresome overfamiliar combat systems!" I bellow from my balcony over the castle square. From far away across the sea comes the response: "in our game, your primary '*******' is a sloping railway". The game in question is Incline ~Railway of ******'s valley~ and yes, it has an incredibly irritating English-language title, but how about that red-hot funicular action in the trailer? And is it me, or does this look like a long-lost Dreamcast game? Read more View the full article
CD Projekt Red may insist that it's done working on Cyberpunk 2077 but that may only be half the story. Having been released in an unfinished state back in 2020, the studio has worked tirelessly over the last three years to deliver the product that was initially promised to consumers, concluding with the launch of the excellent 2.0 Update and Phantom Liberty. As CDPR looks to the future, game director Gabe Amatangelo explains that there could still be some room to grow Cyberpunk 2077 in some very small ways. View the full article

If you love watching the best Pokemon trainers around the world duking it out, you'll be happy to hear the dates for the World Championships have been confirmed. Last year, The Pokemon Company revealed that the 2024 Pokemon World Championships would be held in Honolulu, Hawai'i for the first time. The Pokemon Europe International Championships took place over the weekend, and following the event the official Play Pokemon Twitter account confirmed that Pokemon Worlds will take place on August 16-18 at the Hawai'i Convention Center. Of course, you will have had to have been competing so far at various other tournaments to make it to Worlds, but you can attend the tournament as a guest in any case. The announcement of Pokemon Worlds being held in Honolulu came at a difficult time last year, as Hawai'i was being heavily impacted by wildfires all across the state. In response, The Pokemon Company donated $200,000 dollars to support relief efforts at the time. It's important to note that many native Hawaiians are critical of the amount of tourism the state receives, calling visitors to at minimum to respect both the people that live there and the local wildlife more than they currently do, with some even saying that tourists should stop visiting altogether. If you are considering visiting Hawai'i for Pokemon Worlds, keep that in your mind when weighing up whether you should go or not. Read more View the full article

The Fallout TV Show drops on Amazon Prime later this week, and if you're replaying Fallout 4 while you wait for April 11 to arrive, a new mod definitely looks like it's worth grabbing. It's one for all the merch freaks out there, as it adds a backpack to the game that's the spitting image of the one the show's vault dweller, Lucy, has been shown wearing as she traverses the wastes. Yup, we've already had fan films adding a new concluding scene to the Sole Survivor's adventure this month, and now they've been gifted a fresh way of showing they're keeping up with the trends, as they lug ten million bits of scrap around The Commonwealth. To be fair, they did lose their spouse and all that, so they probably deserve all of this nice stuff. In case you're wondering what 'Lucy's Vault-Tec Backpack' by QwibQwibMods is based on, I'll direct you to some of the promo screens for Amazon's Fallout TV Show, which feature the protagonist, Lucy (Ella Purnell), rocking a nice rucksack that matches her classic blue and yellow vault suit. The mod, as you'd imagine, adds a bag inspired by it to Fallout 4, so you can twin with your new Californian vault bezzie. Read more View the full article
Things seem to be getting better in the world of Diablo 4 at the moment. That is mainly because of the Season 4 Public Test Realm (PTR), whose many changes to gameplay, loot, endgame and crafting have people very excited about Season 4. But the next season won’t start until halfway through May, so we’re stuck with the lacklustre Season of the Construct until then. That said, there’s more to the PTR than simply offering players the chance to test future changes and offer feedback. We’re talking, of course, about datamining. Read more View the full article

It’s no mystery that if someone’s a top streamer, they’re making a lot of money. Recently, one of the most prominent streamers in the world right now, xQc, shared his yearly income. The ********* was caught by a street interviewer, natestakkzz, on April 6, who asked him a couple of questions. At first, the interviewer asked xQc what does he does for a living, and after saying he’s a streamer, natestakkzz followed up with a question about his yearly income. The 28-year-old said it was leaked already, so didn’t hold back from admitting the most he made in a year from streaming alone was around $9 million. View the full article

As useful as they can be, Dragon's Dogma 2's pawns tend to natter on a bit, so thankfully there's a mod that stops them from talking too much. Picture this: you're walking along a dirt road, happy as can be, having just beaten a gang of goblins, enjoying some peace and quiet when all of a sudden you hear it… "Look Arisen, a chest!" Then again, "Look Arisen, a ladder!" And again, and again, and again. Chatter like that would get on anyone's nerves after a while (they've certainly got on mine), and while I appreciate how helpful Dragon's Dogma 2's pawns are, I wish they would talk just that little bit less. Lucky for me, and anyone else in a similar predicament, there's a mod that can fix exactly that. The mod in question is quite simply named ShutUpPawns, a mostly "does what it says on the tin" type mod, though it is actually a bit more complicated than just turning off the dialogue. Essentially, the mod lets you put various lines of dialogue into a blocklist so they won't tell you about every single ladder and chest under the sun, as well as other bits of dialogue. It lets you fine tune specific bits of dialogue so your pawns can just tell you about chests, for example, because I certainly don't need to know about every single ladder we come across. On top of that, you can also prevent your pawns from high fiving you, though personally I'd leave that in just because I think it's a cute little touch. Read more View the full article

Counter-Strike 2 being flooded with cheaters is nothing new. But on April 7, a simple console command let players use cheats frustratingly easily. Luckily, though, players are already getting banned for cheating. Late on April 7, certain CS2 profiles on X shared how players are apparently available to turn on wallhacks with one simple console command. Many of the posts have been silenced, and the subreddit itself mentions FACEIT handing out two-year bans to those who used the command. View the full article
