  1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released in 2015 but players are still discovering new secrets, this time in an Easter egg hidden by developer CD Projekt Red below Novigrad. YouTuber xLetalis uploaded a video of the Easter egg which can only actually be seen by glitching through the map. But if players can force protagonist Geralt under the cobbles of Novigrad they can enter a crevice which contains artwork referencing CD Projekt Red itself. Drawn in the style of a classic war recruitment poster, this artwork on the side of a cliff face reads "CDPR needs you", with CDPR of course being CD Projekt Red. The text runs across the bottom of a larger picture of a soldier of Temeria — one of the countries in the world of The Witcher and one of the first to go in the contemporary Nilfgaard invasions — identifiable by the coat of arms across his chest: three silver lilies on a ****** field. CD Projekt Red hid myriad Easter eggs across The Witcher 3, some of which are perhaps still to be found. Another discovered years after launch was that Vivienne, a character players encounter in the Blood and Wine expansion, has a tragic but poetic end. The Witcher 3's PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X version also included a wild Easter egg which ties into an incredibly complex mystery from Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red is currently working on the next mainline Witcher game, codenamed Polaris, now that work on Cyberpunk 2077 is all but concluded. This will be the first of a new trilogy but details are still slim seeing it won't be released until 2025 at the absolute earliest (and probably later). A multiplayer Witcher game is in development at CD Projekt Red-owned studio The Molasses Flood too, alongside a remake of the first Witcher game which is in development at Fool's Theory. Ryan Dinsdale is an IGN freelance reporter. He'll talk about The Witcher all day. View the full article

  7. Wanted: ***** is a terrible game that I sort of adore. Created by some of the people behind the Ninja Gaiden series, it's the kind of rough diamond or perhaps, chunk of lacerating windscreen glass you find at the bottom of a mouldy box at a service station car boot ***** along a particularly depressed stretch of the ***'s M1. 12. Helldivers 2 received a new Warbond on April 11, and while it included plenty of new Democratic toys, players would prefer to see Arrowhead take its time fixing bugs instead. On April 11, the Helldivers 2 community on Reddit wholeheartedly agreed that new content “doesn’t hit hard” when game-breaking bugs plague the game. Some of those bugs became even more noticeable with the release of the Democratic Detonation Warbond. View the full article

  15. Odds are if you're a Fallout fan, you've either already blazed through Amazon's Fallout TV show, or are dilligently working your way through the episodes when life allows. No matter how far you are in, one of the things you'll definitely seen is the cool tranqiliser ******* being wielded by Lucy. If you a big fan of it, a new Fallout 4 mod is definitely for you. If you're somehow out of the loop, Lucy is the show's vault dweller, and, from the moment she starts facing the terrors of the wasteland, she's got a dart **** at her side, which obviously comes in quite handy at times. The *******'s very futuristic-looking design definitely caught the attention of one veteran modder, who's been working on bringing it to The Commonwealth for a little while now. The modder in question is Neeher, whom we spoke to about his work on the upcoming Fallout: London earlier this year. This TV show **** is a standalone work from him, dubbed the 'Select Blaster', to bring it in line with a lot of Neeher's other Fallout 4 ******* mods. Read more View the full article
  16. The last week has been illuminating for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players, with a portion of the community finally finding a way to break The Indigo Disk’s Item Printer to ensure incredible drops every single time you use it. The Item Printer is a new mechanic introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s second wave of DLC that allows players to feed a machine different materials dropped by Pokémon while playing. Once you put in enough material, the machine will activate and ***** out a handful of items—ranging from Tera Shards and Exp. Candy to rare Poké ****** you can’t get anywhere else. 18. Likely to capitalise on the hype generated by BezosTech’s (by many accounts, pretty entertaining) Fallout TV show, Bethesda are spiffing up Fallout 4 with a new update, including widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, fixes to Creation Kit, and a “variety of quest updates.” The update is slated for this month, April 25th. A new quest, “Echoes of the Past,” sees you going up against the Enclave. Alongside this are new workshop items including previously released Creation Club content, such as Enclave uniforms, weapons and armor skins, new power armour, a Tesla Cannon, and a Heavy incinerator. Here are a few more additions, via the update: Read more View the full article
  19. Amid discussions of whether map pick-and-bans should be a thing in VALORANT ranked, imagine a similar system for agents—like Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege. Interestingly, if Riot Games were to introduce such a thing, the community seems to have no confusion about one agent suffering the most from it. One redditor’s intriguing post on April 11 got several VALORANT players talking about the agents they would like to permanently ban based on maps and the Elo they play in. While Reyna, Killjoy, and Viper crept up in multiple comments, most were convinced Cypher would take the biggest hit. View the full article
  20. Counter-Strike 2 being flooded with cheaters is nothing new, but it’s forcing players and content creators to abandon the game in frustration, including WarOwl. The North ********* streamer played a few Premier games on April 11, and reportedly, there was a cheater in every single one of them. Naturally, this irritated the streamer, with WarOwl claiming he’s “done” with CS2‘s Premier mode until it’s properly fixed. View the full article
  21. Season 12 of Naraka: Bladepoint is now live, bringing with it a new timed event, game mode, new progression system, and eventually a new character, Lyam Liu. The new Naraka season is called “Tenacity”, and looks to offer a good mix of casual whimsy and competitive-focused changes to shake up the ranked meta, while also streamlining some long-standing pain-points to make things less daunting for new players and less time consuming for regulars. First up, to celebrate the Songkran water festival, players can soak each other with water guns in true Thai New Year fashion, as the Swarm ******* turns into “Hydro-Swarm”. Completing the event will give players access to water ****** themed legendary display emotes and runs until April 24. Read more View the full article

  24. So, we finally got news of Fallout 4's long-awaited next-gen update yesterday, following plenty of silence on the subject from Bethesda. Since it's set to drop on April 25, just two days after Fallout: London's release on April 23, one of the big questions right away was how the update might affect the massive mod. Well, the good news is, it looks like Team FOLON already has a plan. If you're unfamiliar with Fallout: London, it's a full conversion mod for Fallout 4 that's set to let us explore a post-apocalytic version of the English capital, complete with fresh factions and quests, later this month. We've been getting regular updates from the team behind it over the past couple of years, including one as part of modding showcase C3 back in February - which actually saw Team FOLON acknowledge that a situation exactly like this with the next-gen update could well come to pass. Since it now has, Fallout: London's project lead, Dean 'Prilladog' Carter, has put out a statement via the mod's Discord server, outlining what the group's plan of action is. "As some of you may have noticed, Bethesda is scheduled to release an update to Fallout 4 just two days after our intended release date," he wrote, "We are actively monitoring the situation closely. 25. Riot Games’ anti-cheat software, Vanguard, is coming to League of Legends in the near future. While cheaters might seem like a rare occurrence at lower ranks, they’re frustratingly common in high-Elo games. On April 11, Riot Games released a blog talking about Vanguard coming to League. In one section, the team highlights the number of cheaters at specific ranks since the beginning of 2022. It turns out that in the first half of 2023, more than 10 percent of Master games had a cheater in them. View the full article
