  1. Valve just released a big new update for Dota 2 with Crownfall, which not only includes a new comic to read but also what they call The Markets of Midgate. This is the first act of an ongoing story event. Read the full article here: [Hidden Content] View the full article
  2. The launch of No Rest for the Wicked hasn’t gone as smoothly as many had hoped. While there were no server issues to contend with, or severe optimisation and game stability problems, the reception has so far been mixed. The problems mainly revolve around the state of the Steam Early Access build, but once you get past that, so many of Moon Studios’ design decisions have left players surprised and often annoyed. 3. The Overwatch 2 playerbase has been up in arms over the last few days due to Blizzard’s banhammer swinging left and right. The cause? Profanity. And now, it seems Blizzard is even banning players for complementing others, according to one player’s support chat. The player in question is a high-elo, smalltime content creator called reise_ow, who shared their Blizzard support logs on X (formerly Twitter) on Apr. 18. They tried appealing Blizzard’s decision to ban them for what they said in-game, and got a very strange reply. Apparently, the player was banned for statements including “gg,” “ns,” “f**ck that was clean Hanzo,” and other regular banter. Blizzard labeled these messages “examples of the chat from the account that caused the action,” leading players to believe profanity is not the only one-way ticket to an Overwatch 2 ban. 4. World of Warcraft’s art team usually does a stellar job, but in The War Within, it looks like they’ve really knocked it out of the park. On April 18, players discovered new armor sets on the PTR for WoW’s next expansion, and the community is beyond impressed. “Holy. ********. *****” is what the top comment says on a Reddit post revealing The War Within’s green plate set. This isn’t even tier gear—it’s leveling armor. In my opinion, it looks better than any basic armor set we’ve seen in WoW, and even better than most tier sets. It’s expertly modeled with intricate details and gold adornments that’ll really bring a stalwart Warrior or Paladin to life, and I couldn’t have asked for more. View the full article
  5. Valve has now launched the 64bit update for Team Fortress 2, which should bring performance improvements for most users. Plus we get Vulkan now too. Read the full article here: [Hidden Content] View the full article
  6. You there! Stop playing through through Fallout 4 again! Amazon's Fallout TV show is now officially confirmed to be getting a second season, as pretty much all of us had hoped following the stellar reaction to its debut series. Yup, after increasing everyone's appreciation for Walton Goggins and Ella Purnell's ability to say 'okey dokey' in about fifteen different tones, as well as providing loads of fun little references and easter eggs to dissect, the show's set to continue. To be fair - spoilers - you probably guessed that it would likely be doing so when you saw how it ended. A tweet from the show's official account first revealed this good news, slap bang in the middle on the night *** time. "Wouldn't want to keep you on the edge of your seat, now, would we?", the slightly sarky post read, "See you back in the Wasteland for SEASON 2." Read more View the full article
  7. Since the launch of Counter-Strike 2 in September 2023, players and fans have been demanding changes to professional tournaments. Now, it looks like one much-demanded change will be implemented as soon as the BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2024. On April 18, the CS2 tournament organizer announced that BLAST will add best-of-five finals to its events. The tweak comes after the latest tier one tournament finals were too short. Despite being a full best-of-three, the PGL Copenhagen CS2 Major final between Natus Vincere and FaZe Clan lasted around two and a half hours. The final of IEM Chengdu 2024, where FaZe defeated MOUZ, took less than two hours. View the full article
  8. A lot about Palworld sounds inhumane, but nothing is as bad as being able to butcher the Pals you tame. So when a particularly compassionate player decided to stand against the brutal mechanic with a quirky move, it naturally caught a lot of attention. In a Reddit post on April 18, a player named Fantastic-Rabbit-193 proudly announced their applaudable achievement of unlocking every single item on the Technology tree—except for the Meat Cleaver. Not that they couldn’t unlock it. You can actually get the Meat Cleaver pretty early on in Palworld, but this player decided to intentionally keep it locked “as you should.” View the full article
  9. Visions of Mana is the first new entry in Square Enix's Mana series in 15 years, and with that comes some fundamental changes. Following my hands-on preview with Visions of Mana, I had the chance to ask producer Masaru Oyamada if cooperative multiplayer was ever considered for Visions of Mana, and if multiplayer had a place in the Mana series' future... 10. Shiny hunting has become a lot easier in recent Pokémon games, but Scarlet and Violet players would like to see a change to a simple stat that shouldn’t be so misleading. With an open-world setting in Scarlet and Violet, it feels as though a Shiny Pokémon could pop up at any moment, and those odds can be boosted with Mass Outbreaks, a Shiny Charm, a Shiny sandwich, or all of the above. This might encourage you to keep an eye out for any rare Shinies that appear throughout your adventure. I know I’ve accidentally stumbled upon a few Shinies while traveling or EV training, and I’d hate to know how many I might’ve missed on screen or in battle if I wasn’t paying attention. 12. Thank your own personal deity—possibly the Mother Sphere—it's Friday! I'm not going to spend too much time waffling this morning, as the deals speak for themselves. Just get in and secure something awesome to play for the weekend. In case I don't see you, stay safe, save often, and catch you Monday! Lastly, in retro news, I'm celebrating the 42nd birthday of Dig Dug, an arcade classic. Reports on how it came to be are spotty at best. Wikipedia states it was planned and designed by Masahisa Ikegami, with help from Galaga creator Shigeru Yokoyama...however, I've also been told it was created by Larry, the Architect of the Matrix. Ergo, concordantly, vis-à-vis, Lar' also made Q-bert and came up with the name for Frogger. This Day in Gaming Aussie birthdays for notable games. - Dig Dug (ARC) 1982. 13. Starting on April 19, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone are getting a new double XP event. While the start date of the double XP event for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is known, the developers have not yet confirmed when the double XP will end. View the full article
  14. In another boost to the pro Apex Legends scene, another big legacy organization looks like they’re returning to ALGS competition: Legacy, the team formerly representing Luminosity, now appears on the ALGS Battlefy page under Team Liquid’s name. The all-******** roster of Saul “YanYa” Ocampo Plascencia, Luis Enrique “Neazul” Ramos Suarez, Alexis “Jaguares” Martinez, along with coach Steven “Pistillo” Rojas, have long been one of North America’s strongest teams, so much so that it came as a shock when Luminosity dropped the trio in favor of signing superstar IGL Sweet and a new squad to go with him. Now, Liquid re-enters competitive Apex right where they left off: At the top of the scene, with a legitimate chance to win a LAN at the Split One Playoffs in Los Angeles. View the full article

  16. Razer Razer’s latest mobile gaming controller just released today, the Kishi Ultra, is an all-rounder that can switch between multiple devices. The controller has a built-in USB-C port that can work with the iPhone 15 series as well as most Android smartphones (Razer says it’s compatible with the Galaxy 23 series, Pixel 6 and up, the Razer Edge, and “many other Android devices.”) It also seems to work perfectly fine with Galaxy Z Fold 5 and other foldables. The controller can expand to fit your iPad Mini and any 8-inch Android tablets, and you can also tether it to your PC. Razer Razer’s Kishi Ultra can also work on tablets. One interesting feature in the Kishi Ultra is the inclusion of Razer’s Sensa HD immersive... Continue reading… View the full article
  17. Just hours after teasing a lore-filled comic, Valve finally unleashed the Crownfall update for Dota 2, though it wasn’t quite the earth-shattering arrival many players anticipated. While excitement ran high for new hero Ringmaster, major gameplay changes, and an in-game event, the initial rollout of Crownfall—dubbed “The Markets of Midgate”—seems to be more focused on skins and cosmetics. The update delivers on the promised Arcana skins for Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit, alongside a battle pass-like feature and a treasure trove of cosmetics. But, the new hero, an event like Aghanim’s Labyrinth, and significant gameplay adjustments weren’t included in Crownfall. View the full article

  19. VALORANT’s newest agent Clove has officially been added to the VCT pool, but pro players are already identifying issues they believe will hold the aggressive Controller back. After a small delay and fixing bugs in VALORANT Patch 8.07, Clove can finally be played in VCT matches now we’re in week three. To welcome the newest Controller agent to VCT, pro players like TenZ and aspas discussed their first impressions and wider thoughts about Clove. While most agreed the Controller is very strong on their own, there are some big concerns about where Clove will actually fit in pro play. View the full article
  20. Remember that ****** you just broke because you *****? Well, time to bring it back to action! Here is how to repair weapons and gear in No Rest for the Wicked. No Rest for the Wicked: How to repair equipmentOne of the main criticisms around the No Rest for the Wicked launch is the current state of ******* durability. It certainly is a controversial mechanic that many games have adopted, but in this case, players feel that durability in conjunction with the game’s difficulty, makes it completely unfair. However, there are a couple of ways you will be able to repair your equipment after its durability has worn off due to the amount of inevitable deaths you will suffer. The first one involves a certain NPC called Filmore.Screenshot: PC InvasionYou see, you get to meet Filmore once you travel through the Keep, ***** a good amount of enemies, and get the key to the Mess Hall. Several enemies will be interrogating him and, once you defeat them, you will be able to use his se...View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]

As part of the VALORANT Patch 8.07 update, Omen’s From the Shadows ultimate was buffed so he can now interact with objects like the spike or door levers while in his Shade form. This could be a cheeky way to safely close doors to help your team enter site on a map like Ascent.
