Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson has said that future Battlefield experiences are being developed by the biggest team in the franchise’s history. Xbox reportedly confirmed it’s going to shut down several studios, one of them being Arkane Austin, creators of the infamous Redfall. Users are still waiting for answers from the studio to get refunds. As first reported by the popular journalist Jason Schreier, there was an internal Microsoft email that talked about the four studios closing. The now abandoned Redfall had a roadmap of support that was being actively worked on before Microsoft scrapped all development and closed its developer, IGN can reveal. Arkane Austin was working on DLC and updates for the game with the expectation they would release until very recently, IGN understands, suggesting Microsoft’s internal announcement today that it was closing the developer as well as Hi-Fi Rush studio Tango Gameworks came as a shock to staff. In a series of tweets, Arkane Lyon chief Dinga Bakaba hit out at the cuts, calling them "absolutely terrible." "To any executive reading this, friendly reminder that video games are an entertainment/cultural industry, and your business as a corporation is to take care of your artists/entertainers and help them create value for you," Bakaba continued. Redfall game director Harvey Smith also commented: "I just want to say that I love all the people at Arkane Austin so much. Great times, hard times, we went through so much, together. If new Honkai: Star Rail 2.3 Leaks are to be believed, it seems like the games best team comp is getting another buff as HoYoverse doubles down on one gameplay mechanic. Currently, the turn-based RPG is in the early stages of Version 2.2, an anticipated patch that brings forth the final missions in the main Penacony storyline there will likely be more content related to the Planet of Festivities in the future, though the central questline is complete. In Hades 2, Eris, a daughter of Nyx, may appear every now and then to stir up a little trouble. She doesn’t appear the same for everyone, however, and for some, not at all.What is Eris’ Blessingi in Hades 2?When Eris appears, it’s not a good sign. Upon meeting her in your run, she will bless you, which usually means you’ve been buffed in some sort of way. Eris, however, will debuff you, making you take more damage to enemies.The first time she’ll do this each run will make you take 20% more damage from ****** attacks, which is a huge increase in damage. This is practically run-ending, and it seems like that’s the intention.However, Eris’ Blessing is not permanent, and will end when either you fail, or make it to the next area. Be it current news or game releases in general, this May has somehow become an incredibly chaotic month for video games. And in the middle of all that chaos, yesterday saw Supergiant Games just suddenly release Hades II in early access. First announced at the end of 2022, the game's announcement came as a shock to many, not just because nobody expected a sequel to what has arguably been the legendary studio's biggest hit so soon, but also because it would be the first sequel to any of the developer's games, *******. And even with a Technical Test for the game last month, the sudden Early Access launch shocked many as well, likely because the shadow drop just felt so casual.
