  1. You. Have you been enjoying Hades 2 Hades 2 so far? Well, just as it's gotten its first big patch, one that features tweaks to mechanics like sprinting and resource gathering, Supergiant creative director Greg Kasavin has offered a bit of info on where the game's headed. Apparently, there are some "clues" as to what the developer may have in store for future updates already out there to find. Yup, stop lusting after Aphrodite, or Moros, or one of the random shades chilling at The Crossroads, it's time to get hunting for things that might not mean much right now, but could potentially mean something at some point in the future. Speaking to PC Gamer, Kasavin said that following some "relatively small patches" that this most recent one marks the start of, the team will be shifting focus to Hades 2's first major update. 3. MultiVersus released a video going over their new PvE mode – although a split second of footage overshadowed the entire announcement. Banana Guard over Ben 10 in MultiVersus is criminalMultiVersus released to numerous platforms their announcement for their new PvE mode, which sounds rather exciting. It was only when I head to X find out more was when I realized I missed the most important information in the video. The Banana Guard from Adventure Time.11 seconds in to the Multiversus PvE Rifts Mode Overview – and the Banana Guard appears for a (banana) split-second before Batman takes center stage. If you wish to view this sweet sin with your own eyes, I’d recommend playing the video at x0.25 speed and spamming the “K” key when at 10 seconds. In the video, there are two character slots that have “secrets” written on them, and as we can see, the Banana Guard appears as one of these secrets slots are selected. 6. If you are going to brick one of your items, you might as well do so before you go bankrupt. Here is why you should temper your items before you enchant them in Diablo 4.Diablo 4: Temper your items before you enchant themEnchanting your items in Diablo 4 is not to be confused with imprinting Aspects. The latter makes use of the Codex of Power to imprint specific Aspects to your gear, while the former – and the topic of today – will change one of your gear’s Affixes to a new one or even replace it with the same one but with better or worse stats. Now, the thing about enchanting is that it can get really expensive, especially if RNG isn’t in your favor. This is of vital importance in Season 4 since Gold isn’t as common as it was in previous seasons.Screenshot: PC InvasionSo, why would you want to wait to enchant your items before you temper them? Well, because, while enchanting your items can be done an infinite amount of times – which ...View the full article
  7. Enlarge / "N-tel (64) Inside" (credit: Aurich Lawson | Getty Images) [/url] In recent years, we've reported on multiple efforts to reverse-engineer N64 games into fully decompiled, human-readable C code that can then become the basis for full-fledged PC ports. While the results can be impressive, the decompilation process can take years of painstaking manual effort, meaning only the most popular N64 games are likely to get the requisite attention from reverse engineers. Now, a newly released tool promises to vastly reduce the amount of human effort needed to get basic PC ports of most (if not all) N64 games. The N64 Recompiled project uses a process known as static recompilation to automate huge swaths of the labor-intensive process of drawing C code out of N64 binaries. While human coding work is still needed to smooth out the edges, project lead Mr-Wiseguy told Ars that his recompilation tool is "the difference between weeks of work and years of work" when it comes to making a PC version of a classic N64 title. And parallel work on a powerful N64 graphic renderer means PC-enabled upgrades like smoother frame rates, resolution upscaling, and widescreen aspect ratios can be added with little effort. 8. Standoffs are a cinematic and stylish way to defeat your enemies. It’s a shame that some players report problems with this mechanic. Here’s how to fix the Ghost of Tsushima Standoffs not working bug. What is the Standoff bug in Ghost of Tsushima? If you’re using the default controls in a Standoff, you hold Triangle (Y on an Xbox controller) and let go just before your opponent strikes. The timing window is fairly strict, but this bug makes it so you’ll fail the Standoff even with perfect timing. How to fix the Standoff bug in Ghost of TsushimaWhile I’ve not experienced this issue myself, I’ve read several potential fixes that may help regardless of platform:Turn off any Accessibility OptionsMany users have reported Accessibility Options as the culprit for Standoff issues. 9. Work on the upcoming chapters of the beloved Deltarune RPG is going as planned, though their release is still not on the horizon. Toby Fox, the game’s chief developer, has said development is “powering up” with the addition of new developers and that he doesn’t “want anyone burnt out.” The latter bit of the statement regards both eager players and developers. On May 17, Fox said the team behind Deltarune isn’t “burnt out making it,” even though the game has been in development since 2018. Deltarune currently features only Chapters One and Two, with the third and fourth Chapters to be released simultaneously at some point down the line. “Chapter Four is making really good progress,” Fox added in his summary of the development newsletter. He announced that a new producer and several new employees are working on the project, but the dual release of said chapters is “still far.” View the full article
  10. Every now and then, a game comes along that seems unassuming on the surface but has a huge impact. In 2024, that game is Little Kitty, Big City. Games like Goat Simulator and Untitled Goose Game prove there is indeed a target audience for games where you run amok as an animal causing mildly inconvenient hijinks, and occasionally, outright chaos. Double Dagger Studio’s debut game Little Kitty, Big City is the next iteration of this “nuisance simulator” genre, and many gamers are already responding positively to what it has to offer. Radeon is ***** - virtually no one is buying the latest RDNA 3 GPUs, and you need to fix it. 24. Xbox is reportedly set to add this year's Call of Duty - which is yet to be officially revealed - to Game Pass at launch, in what would be a first for the series and publisher. Naturally, this could in theory mean those with a subscription to the service would be able to grab the game without paying the usual price. This is according to The Wall Street Journal, which reports that Microsoft will announce CoD's impending arrival on Game Pass during its showcase on June 9. The reported change would mark a very noteworthy shift in strategy from Xbox, with the debate as to whether Call of Duty is of more worth to the console maker within or outside of Game Pass having been a big point of debate in recent months. The two sides of the discussion are these. Is it better to keep on selling Call of Duty games in traditional fashion at full price, as Activision has to this point, earning a lot of cash since the series is usually one of - if not the - the top selling titles on the market annualy? Or, would the boost to Game Pass that'd likely come with putting the games onto the service at launch be worth undermining those strong traditional sales numbers? Read more View the full article
