  14. Take-Two only just ***** off 5% of its staff in April, but it's now reportedly looking to shift its indie publishing label Private Division, whether by selling it or simply closing it. Back in April, Take-Two announced it was laying off around 500 staff, and the following month saw a report that the studios behind Rollerdrome and Kerbal Space Program 2 were both being shut down too. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick claims this didn't happen, despite evidence to the contrary, and a new report from IGN states that not only are these closures "imminent" but they're a "part of a larger move by Take-Two to either sell off or shut down the entirety of its indie label, Private Division." IGN claims it was able to independently confirm that Kerbal Space Program dev Intercept Games is set to close on June 28, with Roll7 also winding down, with a small team remaining to tie up loose ends. When it comes to Private Division, though, it's a bit of a different story. IGN reports that in February, employees were told layoffs were coming, but no details on how many, why, or what was happening. In April an update came saying that Take-Two "would no longer support Private Division, at which time almost all the staff were ***** off." There is still a small team left to support still in the works titles like Moon Studios' No Rest for the Wicked, Wētā Workshop's Tales of the Shire, and Pokemon studio Game Freak's unnamed new title. A deal was also set for a new title from Silent Hill 2 remake developer Bloober Team, though this has reportedly fallen through, with Bloober now looking for alternatives. 18. Wuthering Waves dev Kuro Games has once again apologised for the game's rough launch, saying it is "disheartened" at its "inability to provide a high-quality gaming experience." Right from launch, Wuthering Waves has struggled a touch on both mobile and PC, with numerous performance issues and bugs plaguing the game, resulting in a mixture of funny and frustrating problems. Kuro Games did outline some issues with the game, as well as promise it would allow players to skip more cutscenes and more in future updates, but the game is still struggling with a few things. 19. Having to choose between Clorinde and Alhaitham during Genshin Impact 4.7 can be a very real and difficult decision to make, especially considering the limitation on free Primogems made available with every patch. Now, however, she joins the playable roster along with Sigewinne and Sethos as the three new playable characters in Genshin Impact 4.7. Clorinde uses the Bond of Life debuff mechanic to increase her damage output potential, making her a very menacing unit to use in team comps with Electro at the forefront. View the full article

  23. XDefiant is the latest live-service shooter on the scene, and a leaker appears to be teasing some of the game's upcoming factions. While it's seen a few delays, XDefiant (formerly known as Tom Clancy's XDefiant) finally released towards the end of last month, and so far it seems to be shaping up pretty good - both Fran and Connor think so, even if the latter of the two of them questions how long it can last with Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 on the way. One of the key hooks of XDefiant is how the various factions in the games are based on other established Ubisoft franchises, like Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, The Division, Far Cry, and Watch Dogs. It's not exactly hard to guess that more factions would be added eventually, but dataminer and leaker AgainTX has recently been sharing some insights as to what might be next for the game (as spotted by Kotaku). Some of the more boring datamine findings include things like **** sounds and names, a number of which have now been copyright claimed (pointing towards their legitimacy), but they also did seemingly share what new factions will be coming to the game. These include Assassins from *********'s Creed, Operators from Ghost Recon Breakpoint, GSG9 members from Rainbow Six Siege, and The Highwaymen from Far Cry: New Dawn. There's also been assets and more for things like maps and character renders, further showing evidence of these additions, but again a lot of these appear to have been since copyright claimed. The kind that takes you on a curated journey of discovery that unfolds at a pitch-perfect pace, rewarding boldness and curiosity at every turn. But they’re all there, piquing your curiosity and making each discovery further down the line all the more rewarding. View the full article
  25. Wuthering Waves' Sonance Caskets can net you some pretty sweet rewards, but only if you're paying attention and collecting them all. You'll need to keep your eyes peeled for some and for others, you'll need to do some fancy grappling. View the full article
