  1. Escape From Tarkov is known as a hardcore extraction shooter, but its difficulty changes with each and every wipe. These changes - like requiring quest items to be found in raid or adding Marathon-style tasks that require you to travel in-raid to a new location - change the difficulty of the extraction shooter for better or for worse. But now, as Tarkov approaches its 1.0 launch, Battlestate Games's COO, Nikita Buyanov, has confirmed in our recent interview that he wants the game's identity at launch to remain challenging, but fair. 9. New Star Citizen 4.4 patch notes have just landed, and Cloud Imperium Games has finally addressed one of the biggest pain points in the space game. Picture the scene: you've just touched down in a contested zone, the hostile PvPvE regions where some of the best loot is up for grabs. You geared up properly, prepared your route, and you're just in the process of setting off when a random injury suddenly throws your plans into disarray. But no more. CIG has just overhauled the way damage affects players, and you'll no longer need to pray to the RNG gods. Read the rest of the story... This Enchantment card has risen from about $8.50 on November 1, to $36 right now, and it's all thanks to an unofficial format that isn't even sanctioned by Wizards of the Coast. 12. Bond Stars are arguably the most important currency to find in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road, and they will allow you to get new characters. Once you obtain Bond Stars inside the game, you'll be able to use them in the Chronicle Mode to unlock new characters. Here's the catch, however, you can't get Bond Stars from Chronicle Mode. This guide will help you earn the Bond Stars and then use them to get the new characters. Table of contentsHow to get Bond Stars in Inazauma Elevent Victory RoadHow to use Bond Stars in Inazuma Eleven Victory RoadHow to get Bond Stars in Inazauma Elevent Victory Road While you can use Bond Stars in the Chronicle Mode, you'll have to play the Competition Mode to earn them. The easiest way to get Bond Stars is by playing online matches against other players. Both ranked and casual lobby matches qualify for this. Screenshot by Destructoid Once you complete an online match, you'll get Bond Stars irrespective of the results. As of writing, I have yet to find any other way of obtaining Bond Stars outside the online matches. Thankfully, you don't need to win an online match if you're looking to earn Bond Stars. How to use Bond Stars in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road Once you have earned Bond Stars, you can use them in the Chronicle Mode. Just follow the step-by-step methods to complete the process. Open the Chronicle Mode from the main menu.Select Player Universe.Open a constellation you like, and unlock a node. Once you unlock the node, you'll obtain spirits of any character that's available inside that node. Screenshot by Destructoid To use the Bond Stars, you'll need at least five of them. You can always check the complete list of spirits by clicking on Available Characters from the bottom-right corner of the screen. I would always advise you to do this before spending the Bond Stars. Every node has a pool of Common, Rare and Hero characters. The odds of obtaining the spirit of a high-tier character are significantly less. The spirit you get will be handed to you at random (think like a gacha). Screenshot by Destructoid If you're looking to find a specific character, use the Constellation Search feature. You can search either by Team Dock or by their names. The search results will come up with all the nodes that feature your desired character. Proceed opening the nodes with your Bond Stars and hope to get lucky. The post How to get and use Bond Stars in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article
  13. Forget ****** Friday. If you're looking for a Samsung SSD deal, there's no need to wait, as you can currently save up to $130 on the ultra-fast Samsung 9100 Pro, putting this drive at its lowest price we've yet seen. As the second-fastest SSD we've ever tested, it's also a proper performance drive, and not some bargain bin option. The only reason this drive doesn't sit on the main list of our best gaming SSD guide right now is because the WD ****** SN8100 just snuck past it for overall speed, making that drive the fastest PCIe 5 SSD we've tested. However, the Samsung 9100 Pro is only a fraction slower, and its discounts right now make it a great buy, even if the WD ****** SN8100 can also be found at competitive prices. 14. God I ******** love Dispatch. AdHoc Studios has more than embraced the spirit of what made the very best Telltale Games so good. It has it all: a fabulously eclectic cast, actual narrative-defining decisions, ridiculously funny writing that never feels out of place, and neatly embedded gameplay elements. Suffice it to say, I have had a blast following the puny Robert Robertson III through his day-to-day in the dispatch box. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, as today marks the release of Dispatch's finale. Read the rest of the story... 17. I feel like people forget just how massive World of Warcraft is. Sure, you get that from the 'MMO' part, but Azeroth's story is decades in the making, with spinoffs galore (from Hearthstone to Warcraft Rumble) and a collection of amazing novels to boot. But World of Warcraft Classic feels like it's for the more 'hardcore' fans - people who forgive the vanilla version's bugs and quirks for the sake of nostalgia. I find myself falling into that category. While The War Within felt like a step in the right direction, the specter of Shadowlands and the underwhelming Dragonflight still loom large. As the WoW Midnight beta opens its doors, one fan asked game director Ion Hazzikostas about the state of Classic, which has taken somewhat of a back seat in the past few months. 20. It's a great time to start playing Age of Wonders 4, whether you're already a fan of Triumph Studios and Paradox's magical 4X game or have always been tempted to try it. Quietly one of the strategy giant's strongest series, its sense of character rivals the likes of Total War Warhammer 3. Now, the new Age of Wonders DLC, Thrones of Blood, allows you to embody the might of an elder vampire, and it's accompanied by a major overhaul in the form of the Gargoyle update. The latter includes improved onboarding for new players, as well as a free weekend that lets you get a taste of the base game for nothing. Read the rest of the story...
