  1. World of Warcraft just seemingly teased the launch of the first animated short for The War Within with a cryptic, never-before-seen picture of Xalatath in new lighting. Players can likely expect these motion stories to be released once a week throughout the rest of August, leading up to the release of the next World of Warcraft expansion. View the full article

  3. For what feels like an age, aim assist has been one of the most hotly-debated topics for PC Apex Legends players. It has long been perceived that those using a controller - whether that be on a console or on a PC - gives you a serious advantage over those using mouse and keyboard. Well, it seems like Respawn is finally set to agree, as Apex Legends Season 22 will include a significant nerf to aim assist for those using a controller in lobbies where there are also PC players. 4. When you release a game into early access there's often a rush, especially at the start, where updates come thick and fast. It's understandable as this is the first time the public will have had the chance to play a title, with many previously unknown issues cropping up in rapid succession. That's been the case for medieval dynasty sim Norland, whose developer has just wrapped up 15 almost-daily patches since the game launched. Read the rest of the story... 5. Given the amount of combat the average Fallout 4 player will see in a campaign, it just makes sense to install this mod which improves movement by making everything much smoother and more action-orientated. One of the most widely held beliefs regarding the fourth mainline game in the Fallout franchise is that while its role-playing elements feel underbaked, its combat is leagues ahead of every other installment. Having said that, it's still fairly clunky, especially when so many modern shooters have figured out how to handle movement through a first-person perspective. View the full article
  6. The popular Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU will be discontinued, according to information reportedly sent to the company's board partners. 7. Amazon is offering an excellent deal on this Arzopa 15" 1080p USB Type-C portable monitor. It's normally $129.99, but right now you can get it for only $59.98 shipped. That's the best price we've ever seen for this particular model, and the lowest price compared to other legit 15" USB Type-C monitors on Amazon. This is a great portable display for your Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, or ASUS ROG Ally gaming handheld. Arzopa S1 15" 1080p USB-C Portable Monitor for $59.98 This 15" 1080p monitor works as a secondary display for your laptop, tablet, phone, gaming console, or pretty much any device that has either a USB or HDMI output. If your device has a USB Type-C output with Power Delivery, than you may only need a single USB Type-C cable (included) for both power and data. If your USB Type-C output doesn't support Power Delivery, then a USB Type-A to Type-C cable is also included for additional power. If your don't have a USB Type-C port at all, an HDMI cable is included, however you will need to supply your own USB wall charger to provide power to the display. The monitor is designed to be portable. It weighs only 1.3 pounds and measures 0.3" thin. It sports a sturdy metal frame and even includes a smart cover that doubles as a stand. The 15" display boasts a 1920x1080 resolution with 60Hz refresh rate, an IPS panel that offers respectable viewing angles and ****** gamut, and an anti-glare matte surface. It even has built in speakers. Because this monitor can connect via USB or HDMI, it supports a lot more devices than your typical monitor. You won't need to install any app or drivers, either. It's definitely worth the price if you want an inexpensive second screen to boost your productivity without weighing you down. An Excellent Portable Monitor for Your Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck Gaming Console This monitor works quite well with both the Steam Deck or Switch consoles. I'd recommend using the wall charger to power the monitor, otherwise you'll be draining the gaming system pretty quickly (you can use the one provided with your Steam Deck or Switch console). The 1080p and 60Hz specs on the monitor is more than good enough, since neither the Switch nor the Steam Deck supports refresh rates higher than 60Hz. 15. The Call of Duty franchise has become such a web of complicated timelines and reboots that it can be confusing to know when each game takes place, including 2023's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Players hoping to jump on board the rebooted Modern Warfare series and are perhaps less interested in trying out all the post-launch content will need a comprehensive timeline to figure out when each game is set. 19. A recent ***** reveals that sweeping changes are coming to the Imaginarium Theater in Version 5.0, as the new game mode in Genshin Impact will receive a fourth difficulty, and even decrease the number of characters needed to commence the performance. While Spiral Abyss has long been the sole example of challenging content in Genshin Impact, Version 4.7 introduced the Imaginarium Theater as its alternative. The key difference between the two game modes is that the Imaginarium Theater puts a far greater emphasis on horizontal investment or more precisely, Genshin Impact accounts that prioritize characters over constellations tend to fare better. 22. If you’re just tuned into the world of competitive track and field for the Olympics, you probably know Noah Lyles as the big-talking sprinter who won the men’s 100-meter dash. But you might not know a very important fact about him: He’s a big ol’ nerd (non-derogatory). When he’s not drawing the ire of NBA players and their keyboard warrior fans on Twitter, Lyles is usually winning races, training to win races, or geeking out in his downtime. That’s been consistent for almost his entire career, but lately, the nerd side of his persona has been even more present as he’s brought plenty of gaming and anime references to his races with him. 23. Final Fantasy XIV draws in new Warriors of Light by being a critically acclaimed MMORPG with a free trial through Stormblood that allows characters to reach up to Level 70 without a limit on playtime. Like any MMO, it can be intimidating to get started, especially when the game has been around for over a decade now and has several expansions of content available. It also doesn't help that there are so many features in FFXIV that are easy to miss, especially for a Warrior of Light who isn't exploring all the side quests. View the full article
