At the time of writing, the 7-year-old entry in the franchise is Steam’s fourth best-selling game. The sales ***** has been sparked by H2M, a mod for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered that implements a refreshed take on the multiplayer portion of the original Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. The mod will feature over 50 maps, according to its developers, and will also include an updated progression system, as well as new attachments and camos that weren’t featured in the original game. James Cameron himself denied the veteran actress would show up in next year's Avatar: ***** and Ash while talking to Entertainment Weekly, ********* down previous reports of her role coming into play in the threequel. "Michelle Yeoh won't be in three. She's in four and five...so that got a little bit misreported. She will be coming in soon to do her part, which is an interesting, fun character. I mean, we're getting ahead of ourselves now. This whole thing has been planned for years and years," he told EW.   8. Remember Netflix's Love, ****** & Robots? No? Well, get on that show if you haven't, because it's one of the coolest animated anthology series around, and a fourth season is coming sooner rather than later. In fact, it's quietly become such a major win for Netflix that Amazon's Prime Video service now wants a piece of that cake... but tying it into big video games. Via Deadline, we've learned that Love, ****** & Robots' Tim Miller and Blur Studio, the renowned CGI company whose work includes countless video games and even some Hollywood productions, are working with Amazon MGM Studios on an animated anthology series based on the worlds of video games from a number of different publishers. Oh, and it's got a fitting title: Secret Level. Deadline's sources also tease the series has been in the works for quite some time, and a reveal could arrive as soon as next week's Gamescom Opening Night Live event, so watch out. As for the games potentially included in the anthology, word is that Spelunky and Amazon's own New World will be part of it. Moreover, PlayStation titles also appear to be part of the package.   9. The release date of Dragon Age: The Veilguard appears to have leaked online ahead of the official reveal scheduled for later today. If the date that’s appeared online is accurate, you may well want to cancel any plans you had to go out trick or treating. Veilguard has, up until this point, only been pencilled in for Fall 2024. Naturally, this has prompted plenty of speculation as to the actual date, with EA financials having recently suggested that the game wouldn’t be arriving prior to October 1.   14. Steam’s seeing a good few sweeping changes of late. They’ve recently added a ‘Trending Free’ tab to separate the no money down and no, money down playables. And, as of September, they’re cracking down on links to other websites in store pages. Now, horror of horrors, they’re coming for your ascii gigachads and “nobody is going to read this review so I’ll just say I’m gay” bangers. The changes are part of their ‘New Helpfulness System’, outlined here. The new system, which will be enabled by default but can be toggled off, aims to “help potential players make informed decisions about the games they are considering purchasing by understanding the attributes of the game that other players like or don't like.” Ah, so a sort of ‘review’, if you will.   20. Valve’s MOBA shooter Deadlock isn’t the only game capturing attention on PC this week, with thousands of players piling into Spectre Divide‘s early access. The shooter, developed by Mountaintop Games in partnership with Shroud, is looking to freshen up the FPS genre—and isn’t holding back early. A little over 10,000 players hit the Spectre Divide servers today alone, according to stats site SteamDB; the highest count since 15,979 graced the first playtest two weeks ago. The player base fluctuates heavily, but early signs are great for the new shooter and with the weekend approaching, we’re likely going to see that 15,000-mark broken again very soon.
