It looks like stock levels for the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D are tightening up in the US, as prices for the popular CPU are steadily rising. With October's rumored launch of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D just around the corner, this could point to AMD (and retailers) clearing the decks to make way for the company's next CPU launch. (credit: Getty Images) [/url] Following its antitrust win against Google last year, Epic is now going after both Samsung and Google for allegedly conspiring to set up what it says is a similarly anti-competitive scheme on its Galaxy smartphones. Epic's newly filed federal lawsuit focuses on Samsung's Auto Blocker feature, a setting designed to prevent Galaxy smartphone users from downloading "unauthorized" apps from third-party sources such as the recently launched Android version of the Epic Games Store. Introduced last year as an opt-in feature, the Auto Blocker feature is now activated by default during the initial setup of a Samsung phone following a July system update (the feature can be turned off with a simple toggle during setup or in the phone's settings afterward). Epic's lawsuit takes a particular exception to the fact that Samsung doesn't provide any way for a company like Epic to qualify as an "authorized source" that has been judged as safe under the Auto Blocker. "While Samsung half-heartedly claims Auto Blocker is a security feature, its operation is to block all competing stores, regardless of how safe and secure they may be—and without any assessment of their safety or security or any path for other stores to achieve 'authorization,'" the suit argues. Battery Banks are more effective when paired with a Solar Bank, which can recharge the batteries using solar power. Battery Banks in 7 Days to **** play an important role in generating completely self-sufficient electrical circuits that make it easy to run the electrical components in your base. These systems are incredibly helpful, but obtaining Battery Banks isn’t as simple as just finding one in the wild. Wild-eyed stickman brawler Judero appears to have kicked off a small wave of pagan-themed games - or rather, it has recalibrated my brain to be more aware of pagan-themed games. The latest to catch my fancy is party-based RPG Banquet For Fools, out in Early Access today with a demo. Created by two-person Hannah and Joseph Games, it casts you as one of the Vollings - a race of gaunt elven humanoids, hailing from the same school of manky action-figure as Judero, who have been shunned by their gods and have accordingly turned to paganism. Specifically, you're a lord who has set up a spice farm on a "cursed" island, the former home of a long-***** civilization. This certainly sounds like a foolish thing to do, and it's no huge surprise that everybody on your farm has gone missing. So off you trot with a team of four custom-generated companions to solve the mystery, and also make up gnarly spells by daubing your blood on trees. Read more View the full article
There will reportedly be two versions of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080, an initial one with 16GB of GDDR7 of VRAM, and a second one with 24GB of memory that will come later. If it's true, this rumor has echoes of the GeForce RTX 4080 GPU launch, with that chip originally set to come in 12GB and 16GB graphics cards. However, the former was later "unlaunched" due to the negative reaction of PC gamers to its underwhelming specs. The new Blackwell-based GPU is expected to launch alongside the GeForce RTX 5090 at the start of 2025, with the latter expected to be the best graphics card in the Nvidia gaming stable. However, the most-recently leaked GeForce RTX 5080 specs don't paint a flattering picture of Nvidia's new second-tier GPU, with it looking pretty weedy compared to the RTX 5090, thanks to half the VRAM and less than half the number of CUDA cores. It is a truth universally acknowledged that Morrowind is the greatest game ever created. At least, acknowledged by me, and that's all that matters. That weird sideways step in the Elder Scrolls series took the action away from wide procedural generation in Daggerfall to a smaller, more focused approach - with incredible success. Recently things have been going the other way, though, with Starfield containing an especially large galaxy to explore.
