For decades, scientists have sought ways to compress the tools of optical science – lasers, lenses, mirrors – onto chips that fit on a fingertip. Such miniaturization is key to unlocking faster communication systems, ultra-precise atomic clocks, and scalable quantum computers that rely on light rather than electronic signals. But... The Falling Skies chapter in Escape from Tarkov requires you to find the Flight Recorder, and finding it can be annoying if you don't know the location. Finding the recorder is only one part of the task, as you'll need to place it at the correct spot. This guide will teach you everything that needs to be done for the quest to be completed without any hassle. Table of contentsFlight Recorder location in Escape from TarkovWhere to place the Flight Recorder in Escape from TarkovFlight Recorder location in Escape from Tarkov The first task is to retrieve the Flight Recorder. You'll have to locate the aeroplane debris first on the Woods map. I have marked the location in the screenshot below, and you'll find the broken aeroplane. Image via Escape from Tarkov Wiki. Remix by Destructoid Go to the tail of the plane, and you'll find the spot where it snapped from the main body. Look down at the ground, and you'll find the Flight Recorder. Interact with it to add it to your backpack, and this will complete the first task. Screenshot by Destructoid Where to place the Flight Recorder in Escape from Tarkov The second part of the task involves traveling to the Shoreline map. I have marked the location where you'll need to be. The objective is to place the recorder in the main mouldy hut located at Scav Island. Image via Escape from Tarkov Wiki. Remix by Destructoid Once you find the hut, go in through the main entrance. From the main room, turn left and follow the path till you reach another room with a broken wall. You'll be able to see the water body from there. Hide the recorder in the corner, and your quest is complete. Screenshot by Destructoid It takes five seconds to hide the recorder. On the way, you'll meet enemies. If you die, you'll have to begin from the start (retrieve the recorder once again). Hence, bring your best possible gear to complete the quest without any hiccups. The games of today, particularly triple-A games, are under intense pressure to perform. Hundreds of millions of dollars go into producing these behemoths, oftentimes necessitating mass appeal to make their money back and then some. However, going too broad can often be detrimental to their quality, resulting in a milquetoast game that fails to attract not only what should be its core audience, but players beyond its remit. Offering his own observations on how game design has changed since he started out in the '80s, Fallout co-creator Tim Cain emphasizes that modern devs should take notes from the efficient and focused development that defined that bygone era. There are more great mini-ITX motherboards than ever these days, and MSI has decided to offer not one but two boards for AMD's latest CPUs, with the B850 version coming first. The MAG B850I Edge Ti Wi-Fi costs well south of $300, so it sits below competition from Asus while offering features comparable to similarly-priced options elsewhere, including PCIe 5.0 SSD support, Wi-Fi 7, and even a fan-cooled SSD heatsink. If you're building a small form factor system, the best gaming motherboard for the task will need to keep itself cool, too. As well as large heatsinks, MSI has also squeezed in four fan headers, which should be enough for any task a tiny system will throw at it, and is more than most other mini-ITX boards out there as well. It does use AMD's B850 chipset, though, so some features such as USB4 aren't here, while there are just two SATA ports and two M.2 ports. These are the usual limitations you'll see for mini-ITX, which is still niche, even if MSI has decided to offer a product in both mid-range and high-end chipsets from AMD and Intel this time around. Our detailed testing will show if it's worth your cash.[site_jumplinks] Read the rest of the story... Dragon’s Dogma 2 has sold 4 million copies, Capcom has confirmed — and now fans want news on DLC. Capcom’s action RPG came out in March 2024 and was well-received with reviewers, but well-documented technical issues hampered its launch. Indeed, Steam user reviews remain ‘mixed’ now, over a year-and-a-half later. Still, loyal fans who have stuck with the game are desperately hoping that Capcom hasn’t abandoned Dragon’s Dogma 2 (the last meaningful title update came out in January) and indeed the franchise. And while it seems too early for a sequel announcement, fans are hoping for a significant DLC reveal. Indeed, some are pointing to the successful release of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, an expanded version of the original Dragon’s Dogma that included new content, as the template Capcom should use for a Dragon’s Dogma 2 re-release of sorts. PLEASE BRO, GIVE US AN UPDATE, A DLC EXPANSION A LA DARK ARISEN, ANYTHING [Hidden Content] — ケツ専門家 (@CharlieDezia) November 19, 2025 Others are less hopeful. With Hideaki Itsuno, director of Dragon’s Dogma and Dragon’s Dogma 2, having left Capcom after working at the company for over 30 years, the franchise now lacks a public-facing leader. Some are hoping Kento Kinoshita, who directed Dark Arisen, will spearhead Dragon's Dogma 2 Dark Arisen, but there’s no indication yet from Capcom that such a project exists. In an interview with VGC in August, Itsuno said he wasn’t surprised that Dragon’s Dogma 2 failed to have universal appeal because he designed it that way. “I made the game not like a Nintendo one to be liked by all the people, but for a certain type of audience, so it’s normal if some people outside that target audience don’t like the game,” he said. “However, people who enjoyed the game really loved it, appreciated the details and work. I’m very proud of it.” Upcoming Capcom games include Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. Wesley is Director, News at IGN. The Rock Paper Shotgun CMS groaned like a harpooned whale when I fed the above game title into our database. I was tempted to shave away some punctuation for the benefit of whoever writes about this game next, but then I remembered that I hate everybody here as I do hell, all Montagues, and thee. Anyway, what a title. It's like Type Moon and Kingdom Hearts fell into a cyberpunk snakepit. I don't even know what half the characters are called. They appear malevolently polarised, pushing other letters away from them. They seem... primordial somehow. Our distant ancestors used to hack brackets like those into the walls of caverns, when they wished to add inessential tips about flint storage to paintings of hunters getting tusked by mammoths. Battlefield 6 players are split after the new 323 cosmetic pack introduced a collection of grounded infantry skins... and a $24 price tag. EA and Battlefield Studios published their California Resistance Season 1 update today, adding a laundry list of fixes and features alongside a fresh store update. With another free gift and more cosmetics in rotation, Battlefield 6 fans hoping to see more grounded skins were happy to find The 323 pack cosmetic pack brings exactly the kind of customization options they were looking for. "Yes DICE, these are the skins we want!" one popular Reddit post says. The downside, though, is players will have to cough up some serious cash if they want to wear them. “Four American soldiers from different walks of life suddenly find themselves as the only defense when Pax Armata assaults the town of Eastwood,” a description for Battlefield 6’s The 323 skin pack says. “This guerrilla unit makes do with anything on hand, and clears through urban conflict block by block.” For 2,400 Battlefield Coins, or $24 USD, you get the Class skins seen above, as well as access to the 323 unit and a few other cosmetics. There is an in-game bundle option to purchase 2,400 Battlefield Coins for $19.99, but it’s far from enough to stop players from dropping their jaws as they see how much these otherwise well-received skins cost. “Obviously the most beautiful (and appropriate) ones are paid for, and on the battle pass they put the colored fluorescent ones that can see you at 100km,” one popular comment says. “Rascals!” “It’s s**t like this that makes me realize I am not the target audience of this game,” another adds. “I’m the wrong kind of financially irresponsible to pay for garbage like this lol.” New Skins Look Dope... Wait... byu/EngineerDoge00 inBattlefield .reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; } The goofy skin debate has been nearly inescapable since Battlefield 6 launched for PC and consoles on October 10. It’s a movement that has seen vocal fans calling out some of the more vibrant infantry skins in the hope of warding off the controversial outfits seen in other shooters like Call of Duty. Even as BF Studios worked to address some of the more divisive skins, it’s remained one of the few topics the Battlefield community just can’t seem to shake. High prices now add a new wrinkle to the discourse as fans weigh the value The 323 pack adds to the Battlefield 6 experience. As fears of goofy skins have mounted, so too have comments from select players who declared they would pay for high-quality grounded skins should they ever come to multiplayer. Now that The 323 pack is here with a high price tag and pages are dominated by dissatisfaction, other Battlefield 6 fans have been quick to fire back. “That’s what y’all were asking for lol,” one Reddit user said. “Can’t even count the number of post where people said they would be willing to just give money for grounded skins rather than do challenges or if dice added grounded skins in the shop they would give them money. “Also tired of people acting like theirs no grounded skin options, legit every launch skin (I guess other than the mastery skins because of the orange lol) are grounded.” Another user replied: “Maybe if they were a reasonable price, sure. But a $20+ bundle? In a game we already paid $70+ for?” While Battlefield 6 players continue to work out their disagreements about cosmetics, others are diving into the content introduced in today’s 1.1.2.0 update. These include the new Eastwood map and new weapons, as well as a host of bug fixes for both the base game and its REDSEC offshoot. More hot topics, such as map sizes, are said to be under review as Season 1 presses on. For more, you can check out the smaller changes accompanying today's main update. Dispatch developer AdHoc Studio has taken a firm stance against the use of generative AI in the creative process, saying that the tools aren’t “a creative solution.” Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy “where choices matter”. The game, which was released last month, has been a breakout hit for the studio, earning over 220,000 players at its peak on Steam, a significant achievement for a single-player title from an unknown studio. Now, the game’s developers have come out against the use of AI tools in the creative process. Competing engine platforms Unity and Epic Games have announced “a really unique collaboration” which will allow, among other things, games made in Unity to come to Fortnite. Starting next year, Unity developers will be able to publish games directly into Fortnite, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney announced during the Unite event on Tuesday, thanks to “some really amazing networking technology” built by Unity. In addition, Unity will be bringing Unreal Engine support to their cross-platform commerce platform, which they say will give Unreal developers more choice for managing their digital catalogs, payment providers, and web shops across PC, mobile, and web.
