  8. Halo Infinite has become the primary Halo multiplayer experience, with updates and new content released consistently over its lifespan. It's been the main platform for competitive Halo multiplayer at the Halo World Championships for years, and still has an incredibly active playerbase for a game released in 2021. However, it's officially the end of an era for the iconic Halo franchise, with Halo Infinite's final content update rolling out. View the full article
  9. It's once again time for Sony's PS Plus library to get an update, which means if you've been thinking of giving games like Sonic Frontiers, Forspoken, or Battlefield 2042 a go but haven't gotten around to it yet, you better make it quick — they'll disappear on December 16. While all PS Plus subscribers get access to free monthly games, online multiplayer, and discounts, subcribers of the Extra and Premium tiers also get to access a digital game catalog. 12. ARC Raiders has already introduced its fifth map only two weeks after release, offering a unique playstyle compared to the existing options in the game. While light weapons and shotguns reign supreme for fast-paced PvP, the most exciting aspect of this close-quarters map is the absurd amount of high-rarity loot there is to find. View the full article
  13. Hytale is an anomaly by modern industry standards. The Minecraft rival, and with it Hypixel Studios, was snapped up by League of Legends developer Riot Games back in 2020. After years of troubled development, Riot announced in June this year that it was cancelling Hytale, and would begin winding down Hypixel. At this point, Hytale was dead; no game comes back from that. Except, it has. After months of posturing, an unprecedented deal to save Hytale between Riot and Hypixel's co-founder, Simon Collins-Laflamme, was announced earlier this week. Now, as we hurtle towards early access, the rejuvenated Hypixel's shared a big ol' slice of gameplay so we know exactly what to expect. Read the rest of the story... 15. Genshin Impact has set November 21, 2025, as the date for its next Special Program Announcement, during which players will be able to see a detailed preview of Version 6.2 on YouTube and Twitch. While datamining has revealed a decent amount of information related to Version 6.2, there are still a few question marks left unanswered. Genshin Impact is introducing a major overhaul to Mondstadt characters in Version 6.2, with Albedo, Venti, Klee, Mona, Razor, Sucrose, and Fischl all receiving buffs to their ability kit. The livestream will be a chance for the developers to explain their vision for the overhaul and potentially tease any future plans to update other members of the playable cast. View the full article
  16. It likely wasn’t the hope of Call of Duty: ****** Ops 7 developers Treyarch that the most viral moment from its new co-op-focused campaign would be clips of streamers crying with laughter as a 30-foot, giant-headed monster swiped at the player. As soon as the TikToksphere brands you as “Aldi Skibidi Toilet,” one fears that there’s simply no way back from that. Such is the paradox of Call of Duty ****** Ops 7. A game with multiplayer so utterly engrossing and moreish that we’re trying to carve out any spare second to play it, and a campaign so poor it’s a case for not bothering with them going forward. First, to the campaign. Credit where credit is due, they are trying something different. It’s a story built to be played with four players, following new and returning characters on a globe-trotting jaunt across 11 missions and a new endgame mode called, well… Endgame. That’s largely where the credit ends, however. Read More... View the full article

  21. With the release of the latest wave of Ultramarines models, there are now 100 different units in the Space Marine army list. This isn't counting out of production Legends units, nor the two Forge World models still legal in tournament Warhammer 40k, nor the five Space Marine Chapters with their own codex supplements. The second biggest army list, the Aeldari, has just 67 units, giving Marines players 50% more choice than the nearest competition. How can the game sustain a single army with so much more variety than its rivals? Read the rest of the story... 22. League of Legends has made me cry many times. Whether it's Silco's untimely demise in the first season of Arcane, or getting absolutely obliterated during a ranked promo match, for all my complaints about Riot's MOBA, I still truly love it. But my mind can't help but wander back to the good ol' days of Butcher's Bridge and Snowdown Showdown, and while we saw the Gangplank-inspired ARAM map return earlier this year, the one I've been waiting for has always been Winter Rift. Baron's been missing his Santa hat for far too long, but League of Legends patch 25.23 has brought it back, and I won't lie, I got a little teary. Read the rest of the story... 23. Hades 2 will be the surprise big winner at The Game Awards 2025, if voting follows aggregated reviews on Metacritic. Nominations for The Game Awards 2025 were revealed earlier this week, with breakout RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 up for a record 12 awards, followed by PlayStation titles Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei with eight nominations each. However, if this year’s winners fall in line with aggregated review scores and historical trends, the big winner of the night could be Supergiant Games’s roguelike sequel. Read More...
