  4. There are two things taking the internet by storm as of late, and that’s Roblox’s dress-up game, Dress to Impress, and Charli XCX’s album of the summer, BRAT. And in a collaboration that nobody saw coming, but fans of both will no doubt welcome, Dress to Impress is receiving a BRAT-themed update on August 17, 2024. That’s tomorrow, so cancel any BRAT summer-related plans you may have had this weekend and prepare for a new range of clothing items and accessories to show off on the catwalk in Dress to Impress instead. The collaboration was announced via X (formerly Twitter) on 12 August with a suitably-green teaser trailer showing off the new clothing options — a cropped tee emblazoned with the BRAT logo being the staple of the collaboration — and an all-new catwalk. Whether or not we’ll see the BRAT-walk in-game tomorrow is uncertain, but one thing we can be sure of is that more models will be slaying ******* than they usually are. 5. Genshin Impact version 5.0 - the next major update set to bring a new region to the game - will release worldwide on August 29. In addition, new characters as well as an archon quest, events, and slick new traversal abilities are coming too for players who jump into the new content. Genshin Impact players will be able to meet and interact with various tribes that reside in the new nation of Natlan, and proceed the overarching narrative of HoYoverse's biggest game. Version 5.0, like all major version changes before it, will be the kick-off point for months of additional updates fleshing out the region and the stories of the new characters introduced with it. This new update is also launching with three new characters, all available through in-game banners. These include the five star Mualani, four star Kachina, and five star Kinich. These characters will be spread across two phases, so hopefully you've been saving up your rolls for these three - they'll be thrown back into the character vault for a while after their banner phases out. 6. Once Human’s chaotic, eerie world is a paradise for survival fans, but what’s the point if you can’t explore it without hiccups? While multiple efforts to offer a ******-free experience have been made since release, Patch 1.1 has made things worse—and Starry Studio is “deeply” apologetic about it. After the latest Once Human update dropped on Aug. 14, players have reported crashing out before reaching the main menu, even on high-end rigs. More concerning reports about the game causing players’ systems to ****** into a complete shutdown have also emerged. Many players are unable to load into their Eternaland save as well, causing major distress in the fandom. View the full article
  7. ****** Myth: Wukong has been long anticipated by players worldwide, with everything from its unbelievably gorgeous initial reveal to its most recent trailer garnering hype. However, while many are willing to buy it day one at full price, there are those who would prefer to try it first via a subscription service like Xbox Game Pass. With so many games releasing straight away or shortly after launch on Game Pass, there is a growing expectation that almost every triple-A game will eventually make its way to the service. 8. Rollerdrome launched two years ago today and was met with positive reviews across the board. It was nominated for a Golden Joystick and later won a BAFTA for best British game. 9. Lickitung can be one of the more formidable combatants in Pokémon Go. It has a solid distribution of stats that makes it difficult to take down and can dish out a good amount of damage. You want to optimize this by teaching Lickitung its best moveset, which takes some knowledge. The attacks you want to teach Lickitung are specific to optimize how tanky it can be. It won’t be good in every situation, but you’ll see it used by many Pokémon Go players during specific Cups or Battle League competitions. It all comes down to knowing what attacks to teach it and how to use Lickitung on your team. View the full article
  10. Today’s NTY Mini clue, “Interlocks (with),” is particularly tricky. My mind immediately went to things like keyrings, locks, and other items you can interlock together—but I was way off the mark. ‘Interlocks (with)’ NYT Mini clue hints I’m about to interlock with a pint after work. 12. Clerics in Dungeons & Dragons are experts at dealing with the undead, and their skills translate well to the world of Baldur's Gate 3. With access to spells like spirit guardians and abilities like Turn Undead, each cleric can be an effective catacomb cleaning machine in their own right. However, when it comes to the different cleric subclasses, some are more powerful skeleton slayers than others. 13. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 has introduced loads of Marvel-themed weapons including War Machine's Arsenal, War Machine's Auto Turrets, and War Machine's Hover Jets. That's a whole lot of tech to add to your loadout. 14. One of our favourite pastimes over the years has been trying to figure out which movies or TV shows would make for good Lego games. With TT Games delivering high quality brick-based renditions of the likes of Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic World, Marvel, DC and The Incredibles over the course of nearly two decades, it stands to reason that “what’s next” has been an oft-asked question. A lot of wishlists were ticked off with the multiverse toys-to-life game Lego Dimensions, which mashed together 30 separate IPs aimed at children (Scooby-Doo, Teen Titans, Adventure Time) and adults alike (Knight Rider, The A-Team, Mission: Impossible, Gremlins). 16. The rapid approach of the new NFL season means it’s time for a new entry in EA Sports’ flagship series with Madden 25—and I’ve got a serious case of déjà vu. Releasing a month after the critical success of College Football 25, there’s a high bar for Madden 25. However, after years of treading water, it’s fair to say that optimism for the title has been lacking. View the full article

Over the past few months, there have been a number of leaks about Helldivers 2's Illuminate faction. These leaks have suggested the upcoming faction will feature various enemies. 19. You can collect all kinds of powerful and unique Marvel weapons in Fortnite Chapter Five, season four. One of the coolest is War Machine’s ******* collection, which includes his Arsenal, Auto-turret, and Hover Jets. These items are powerful alone, but you can become an unstoppable machine if you obtain all three. You also have to get each to complete one of the Kickstart quests, so here’s how to collect War Machine’s Arsenal, War Machine’s Auto-turret, and War Machine’s Hover Jets in Fortnite. 20. ****** Myth Wukong review's are out, which means you (yes you) can finally learn what all the critics in the gaming space think about this much-anticipated 3rd person action game. We've been waiting on it for quite a while - years in fact! But with that wait finally coming to an end, how good does the game actually feel to play? How rich is its world, and engaging its action? As for our own review, it's a touch delayed as we're playing on the console version rather than PC (which the vast majority of these day-1 reviews are using), so our review needs a little more time in the oven. But you're still able to look through a list of review scores and outlets below for a general idea on how the game has been recieved. Overall we're seeing an interesting spread of review scores, leaning positive. Losts of lovers of its combat and presentation, though others like The Washington Post feel the game lacks what it takes to feel truly unqiue. In terms of negatives against the game, several reviews note a lack of spice when it comes to exploration, and some confusing elements that don't quite match the same level of quality as the rest of the game. There are also some technical issues reported in some reviews, which are worth considering for potential buyers. Read more View the full article
  21. ***** Island 2 may have felt like a flash in the pan for many but Dambuster Studios has continued to expand upon the game over the last year, promising a major new update in October. 23. ****** Myth: Wukong is an action RPG that leans a bit into the Souls camp and a bit into the adventure camp. And either way, it's a spectacular journey that works for mostly everyone: those after challenging fights against ******** mythological creatures, and those after the same thing, but with a little less challenge than your typical Soulslikes. What separates ****** Myth from the crowd, though, is its slick presentation and a sense of generosity. You're to witness the most lavish, cinematic worlds and its creatures. And you're to enjoy battering everything with your staff as a highly athletic monkey with copious spells at his furry follicles and fingertips. It's been a while since I've played anything quite as impressive as this. Read more View the full article
  24. We’re living in the age of the Soulslike, and ****** Myth: Wukong is living proof. Gone are the days of mediocre action-RPGs that barely hold a candle to FromSoftware’s greats; developers are spitting out exceptional Soulslikes left and right, and now it’s Wukong’s turn to take center stage. ****** Myth: Wukong is the first AAA-standard release from ******** developer Game Science. It’s loud and dramatic from the get-go, with top-tier combat and more top-quality boss fights than I’ve ever seen in a Soulslike. But while it does lots of things right, it’s missing a few important elements of the formula, stopping it shy of achieving true greatness. View the full article
