The Rain Man Deviant in Once Human is a fantastic companion for your crops, but getting your hands on one could be tricky. There are many Deviants in Once Human with the ability to aid your base, and Rain Man is one of them who will look after your crops. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my first few playthroughs of Baldurs Gate 3, it took a certain addition to the game for me to finally start paying attention to all of my spells. I typically play a rogue Tav, because I like being able to pick locks with my primary character, but I dont want to miss out on Neil Newbons excellent voice performance as Astarion. When playing alone, I would simply throw powerful Evocation spells on Gale's wizard build, and healing spells on Shadowheart. In multiplayer, I would relegate the spellcasting to my friends. When Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 debuts in October 2024, fans of Zombies mode will find that Carpenter, a power-up that's been part of the series for a long time, has been cut out of the new game. Addition by subtraction can be very effective, especially when it comes to annoying game features. 2K announcing that the most annoying aspect of launching Civilization 6 will not make a return for Civ 7 has caused cheers throughout the community and will hopefully spur other publishers to follow suit. We are, of course, talking about the 2K launcher, which has been a major thorn in the side of Civilization 6 players for years. Not only is it one of many seemingly unnecessary publisher launchers, but also one of the biggest of the bunch, prompting gamers to actively develop ways to circumvent it. View the full article

I am utterly convinced that the new leaks about Mozes true identity revelation in Honkai: Star Rail 2.5 are hinting at a much larger consequence, which may even be beneficial to us, players. At the moment, the popular turn-based RPG by developer HoYoverse is in the middle of Version 2.4, a patch that distanced itself from the Penacony storyline and moved back the Xianzhou Luofu for a brand-new story arc revolving around the Wardance festival and Hoolay, a notorious prisoner kept in the Shackling Prison who is expected to become a boss in Honkai: Star Rail 2.5. Nintendo's first new Famicom Detective Club in over 30 years is getting three whole demos, and you'll be able to carry over your save data too. About a third of the way through July, Nintendo started teasing something just a little bit scary. It was out of step with Nintendo's usual family friendly image, but a week on, the developer revealed that it was actually a brand new Famicom Detective Club game, the first new one in more than 30 years, as long as you're not counting the remakes of the original two games. Even better for fans of the cult classic, Yoshio Sakomoto, the designer of the NES games, and director of Super Metroid, has returned for the new instalment. You don't have that long to wait until it's out now, but ahead of the game's full release, Nintendo is releasing a trio of demos to get you on board as quickly as possible. The first demo is coming tomorrow, August 19, and is the first chapter of the game in its entirety. Thankfully, you don't have to pay a single dime to play it, and what's better is that on August 22 and 27, two more chapters are coming, all of which are again free, essentially letting you play a big chunk of the game's opening section without putting a single penny down. Best of all, your progress will carry over to the full game when it is released on August 29, so don't worry about having to replay a bunch of stuff if you were thinking of picking it up anyway. Expecting to see Hollow Knight: Silksong at Gamescom Opening Night Live? You definitely shouldn't, as long as Geoff Keighley isn't lying to us. With every single games showcase that is announced, there is always one game that you can spot in the replies: Hollow Knight: Silksong. It's no surprise, ever since its reveal as a standalone title in 2019, fans have been clamouring for a release date, and there hasn't been that many updates from Team Cherry since then. Back in 2022 it was at least confirmed that it would be coming to Xbox Game Pass day one, and in 2023 the official Xbox Twitter account much too confidently claimed it would be out the same year. Many showcases later, here we are over halfway through 2024, and there's still no indication as to when it might be released - but of course, that hasn't stopped fans asking if it'll show up next week at Gamescom Opening Night Live. The answer? No. Yesterday, on his personal Twitter account, The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley said: "Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL. Team Cherry is still cooking." That'll obviously be disappointing for fans who had somehow convinced themselves that this was the one, but honestly feels pretty par for the course when it comes to Silksong at this point in time. ***** has another live-action movie on the way, but it's not Persona or anything you've likely heard of. With superhero movies taking a little bit of a decline over the past couple of years, Hollywood has found a new well to dry up: video games. We've been seeing more and more adaptations in recent years, like The Last of Us, Fallout, and most recently, the incredibly awful Borderlands movie. Of course, one of the big ones that helped kick off the resurgence of video game films was 2020's Sonic the Hedgehog, a pretty good movie that made a lot of money. With its success came a sequel and a Knuckles spin-off show, and another film is due out this December, so clearly ***** is very happy with its live-action output. On top of that, ***** is also releasing a Yakuza TV series this coming October. And now, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, its next live-action outing will be… uh, Eternal Champions? I suspect that if you're like me and you're under the age of 35 this one probably won't be a title you're that familiar with, and I wouldn't blame you. Originally released in 1993 on the ***** Mega Drive, or Genesis for all you folks in the US, Eternal Champions was a fighting game made by ***** in an attempt to tap into Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat's popularity. Ian Robb, a top Pokémon TCG player and competitor at this weekend’s World Masters Championship, has been dramatically handed a match loss during the quarterfinal resulting in him missing out on a finals appearance. The incident follows Robb making a crude hand gesture in his quarterfinal game while facing Fernando Cifuentes earlier today. The top eight best Masters Pokémon TCG players are about to finish up at Worlds 2024, but there’s a huge shock in the decks that managed to get through to the final hurdle—with one card apparent in half of the best decks at the event. Of the eight decks left, four of them are Regidrago ex, which had been the dominant deck of the entire tournament. To the surprise of no one attending the Pokémon World Championships in Honolulu, Hawaii, Regidraco is currently dominating attendance with a quarter of the field whipping out the Dragon-type. Still, a few things there might come as a surprise as the competition heats up. Over 25 percent of decks are running the Regidraco format, either lost box or VStar using Ogerpon Teal Mask, with Lugia VStar and Charizard ex in second and third place. 277 people were using Regidrago on day one, with only 35 remaining, according to stats provided by the Pokémon team on X/Twitter. After dominating the second day of the Pokemon World Championships and topping the usage charts across the VGC, it’s clear that Rapid Strike Urshifu’s time in the meta is up and it needs to go, pronto. Among the top 12 most-used Pokémon on day two of Worlds, there were few surprises. When it came to restricted Legendary Pokémon, it was Calyrex Shadow Rider, Calyrex Ice Rider, and Miraidon all came out on top for usage—to the surprise of few.
