  1. Battlefield 2042 is due to receive a new update next week that aims at fixing a handful of small issues to do with the game's customization menus, among other things. The final season of Battlefield 2042, Season 7: Turning Point, came to an end earlier this year. Despite the game no longer being supported with new seasons, developer DICE is continuing to update Battlefield 2042 as it works toward the next game in EA's popular multiplayer shooter franchise. 2. Slitterhead has a convoluted, nonlinear narrative that can be confusing right up until the very end. Although the involvement of Team Silent alumni has caused it to be categorized primarily as a horror game. Slitterhead is secretly an action RPG with a time loop plot. The whole game takes place over three days, and players must repeatedly return to pivotal events in the story in order to avert tragedy or recruit new characters. View the full article
  3. Another Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 patch is here, and with it comes an additional nerf to that troublesome Recon Combat Specialty Perk and a dedicated 10v10 Moshpit playlist. Treyarch pulled back the curtain on the November 8 update with a post on its website today, revealing a smaller patch that tackles some of the issues players have continued to deal with since launch. The emergence of a playlist for 10v10 might be what has most frothing at the mouth, though, as it offers ******* lobbies across many of ****** Ops 6’s Multiplayer maps. Included in the list of maps is Nuketown, a map that is already notoriously chaotic in 6v6 matches, so expect even more chaos when hopping in for 10v10. While the standard Nuketown 24/7 playlist option will remain, fans can also now enjoy a new Stakeout 24/7 playlist. Another highlight involves an additional nerf for Recon, which has been a common complaint from players for weeks. The Perk combo bonus gives players a few advantages in combat, including the ability to briefly see enemies through walls after spawning. The effect previously lasted for a whopping two seconds, with many drawing comparisons between it and unofficial cheats like wallhacks. It didn’t take long before Treyarch brought down that timer to only 1.5 seconds, and as promised, that’s now down to only one second with today’s patch. Multiplayer regulars will notice that they are no longer able to exit the map in Lowtown, too, with other more general changes tackling stability and XP earn rates. Zombies received a number of tweaks as well, including fixes for a few glitches and a patch for a Tactical Raft exploit that was being used to make the vehicle airborne on Terminus. Today’s ****** Ops 6 patch is smaller than some of the others we’ve seen this past week, but that’s only because Treyarch is on the verge of dropping a gargantuan Season 1 update next week. We learned more about the inaugural season of content just yesterday, with the team promising that more Multiplayer maps, Zombies additions, and a revamped Warzone will arrive next week. Even more goodies will come with a mid-season refresh in the future, too, with Ranked Play also set to drop later this month. Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 got off to a great start when it launched for PC and consoles October 25, and we think its success is deserved. We gave this year’s Call of Duty entry an 8/10 in our Multiplayer review and an 8/10 in our Zombies review. It’s unclear when exactly the next patch will drop, but at this rate, we probably won’t have to wait too long. For more, you can read our list of essential tips and tricks for players hopping online, and you can also check out the YouTuber who accidentally ******* his 147-round Zombies run while streaming. You can see today’s full Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 November 8 patch notes below. 4. Several NetEase employees working on the upcoming Marvel: Rivals have reportedly been arrested for allegedly running a money laundering scheme valued in the hundreds of millions USD. The bust took place in Hangzhou in China, with NetEase’s general manager Xiang Lang being among those taken into custody, according to a Nov. 7 Vice report. Those arrested were reportedly “high-ranking” members of the company taken in by NetEase’s own “anti-*********** department” after being accused of money laundering. Vice reports that “the contract value involved in this case is approximately 2 billion yuan (roughly $280,025,762 USD), and the actual amount involved is estimated to be between 800 million and 1 billion yuan, and 28 suppliers have been affected.” It would also seem most of these employees who were taken in, including general manager Xiang Lang, have been let go from the company following the arrests. 9. There's no hiding Vampire Survivors’ links to Castlevania. The developer Luca Galante was even accused of ripping off certain Castlevania sprites during development (but these were from asset packs, not ripped from the game directly, so put down your pitchforks). 10. After baited breath from the Dragon Age community, The Veilguard has arrived—and it doesn’t disappoint. The return to Thedas is an excellent time and bodes well for the future of BioWare’s other projects. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is an action-filled game that is fluid, crisp, and exciting. The missions are well-written and enjoyable, and the dialogue between companions is delightful. There’s a lot to like about The Veilguard, but there are a few bumps in the road. For older Dragon Age fans, it might feel odd to be planted in this mostly dungeon-based mission corridor, but the experience never feels like a grind and is mostly BioWare playing it safe. 14. Even though Pokémon Go doesn’t include many mechanics from the main series games, Niantic tends to implement a few here and there, like the method to fully evolve Pawmi—even if it is a pain. Pawmi is the base form of this Pokémon, and eventually it can evolve into Pawmo and Pawmot. Niantic added Pawmi to Pokémon Go as part of the Adventures Abound season, alongside other Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet, giving a massive surge to Pokémon from the Paldea region. It is, however, the only Pokémon from the first wave with unique requirements to fully evolve it. Before you can worry about trying to evolve Pawmi, it might help to make sure you have one that you want to keep on your team, and regularly use. It’s a tiresome process. Here’s what you need to evolve about evolving Pawmi into Pawmo and Pawmot in Pokémon Go. View the full article

  23. While we're still waiting for the RTX 5090 to drop, the PC gaming business is already laying the groundwork for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 6090, which has just appeared in a trademark filing, along with several other GeForce 6000-series model names, from the RTX 6050 to the RTX 6090 Super. In fact, just about every possible permutation of Nvidia's usual GPU model names has been filed in the entry. However, it's important to note that this filing comes from a third-party graphics card manufacturer, rather than Nvidia itself.
