  3. Artifacts are one the best and most difficult-to-find items hidden throughout the Zone in STALKER 2. Tracking down and finding an artifact can be challenging, but well worth it based on the unique abilities they provide you, making life much easier when fighting bandits or mutants. You won’t always find an artifact out in the open. They’re usually partially hidden somewhere close to an anomaly, where hazards can hit you around every corner, but if you’re careful, you can walk away with a few cuts and a hefty artifact. How you use it after you obtain an artifact is up to you. There’s the choice of keeping it on you to use it during your adventures, or you can sell it to a trader if you need coupons. It all comes down to knowing how to find an artifact, and how to identify if one is nearby in STALKER 2. View the full article

  7. Immediately after progressing STALKER 2's campaign far enough to enter the Garbage region of its map (yes, that's actually what it's called), players are likely to hear a cry for help emanating from the nearby ruins of a farm. It's Vovchyk Koldyba, and he finds himself in a bit of a pickle: fellow Stalker Vitya Sheepskin and his band of merry men have discovered that Vovchyk has a stash squirreled away in a local pigsty. However, they haven't been able to find it, and Vovchyk isn't talking. View the full article

  10. There are many different princesses you can find and meet in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The process for unlocking each one looks different, and not all of them are easy to find, as is the case with Merida. She’s a great ally to have though, so you need to know how to unlock Merida in Disney Dreamlight Valley. View the full article
  11. A few months after the release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, the popularity of the game's modding scene has notably increased, with a growing number of submissions on platforms like NexusMods. Unfortunately, however, while mods can allow players to customize their experience to suit their needs, some of Space Marine 2's mods have also begun to cause notable issues for the game's online modes, which has prompted the game's developers to step in. 12. Launch month sales for Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Silent Hill 2 were reportedly relatively slow in Europe. That’s according to GSD data shared by GamesIndustry.biz’s Chris Dring, which covers physical sales from major markets and digital sales from most leading publishers, excluding Nintendo and 505 Games. Compared with other high profile RPGs released this year, Dragon Age: The Veilguard sales are tracking 18% below Dragon’s Dogma 2 and almost 21% behind PS5 exclusive Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Dring said on Bluesky. 13. HoYoverse might be gearing up to set Sunday and Tingyun – Fugue, whom I affectionately call Fugueyun or Deadyun (IYKYK), loose in Honkai Star Rail, but that hasn’t stopped them from teasing HSR 3.0’s characters already. First up was The Herta, a 5-star variant of the Herta puppet that’s been present at launch with an impressive hat and, surprisingly, the same path and element as her 4-star version – Ice and Erudition. That’s exciting. Read more View the full article
  14. Genshin Impact players can plan ahead for the Imaginarium Theater, as the latest beta build has revealed details about the eligible elements and characters found in Season 8. While the Spiral Abyss has long been the sole endgame of Genshin Impact, the Imaginarium Theater quickly established itself as a worthy alternative once it was introduced in Version 4.7. Unlike the Spiral Abyss, where players are given the freedom to build any kind of team, the Imaginarium Theater is about making the most of specific restrictions. View the full article
  15. ******** Squad: ***** the Justice League's Digital Deluxe Edition is available for pennies on the dollar on the Epic Games Store, one of the most popular PC storefronts. Having been released to poor reception back in February, ******** Squad: ***** the Justice League was panned largely for its live service elements and subpar third-person action gameplay. Sentiment surrounding the game was so negative that refunds were even issued to players by PlayStation. Furthermore, the game's unimpressive sales numbers led to a series of unfortunate layoffs at developer Rocksteady in October. View the full article

In a video announcement, Final Fantasy XIV game director Naoki Yoshida announced FFXIV Mobile, a ****** production between Square Enix and Tencent’s Lightspeed Studios. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser trailer showing Warriors of Light in locations all across the game’s world of Eorzea. It seems as though FFXIV Mobile will be a reset of sorts for the MMORPG, featuring content from the base game without anything from its five expansions. 22. Hasbro has announced that, following the success of Baldur's Gate 3, yet another Dungeons & Dragons game is in production. CEO Chris Cocks told Bloomberg that a fifth D&D game is in development but didn't share what it's about, its genre, or the studio making it. It does appear to be in active production, however, as Cocks noted in the same interview that its G.I. Joe game is currently in pre-production. While D&D has long spawned video game adaptations, the mainstream success captured by Larian Studios' Baldur's Gate 3 has seemingly set Hasbro and direct owner Wizards of the Coast into overdrive. Alongside this mysterious game mentioned by Cocks, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance developer Invoke Studios is also working on a triple-A game based on the beloved role-playing game universe, plus there's a D&D survival RPG life simulator from the Disney Dreamlight Valley developer. Virtual reality fans can also look forward to a D&D game too, as Resolution Games, the developer behind tabletop RPG simulator Demeo, is working on a game set in Faerûn too. This isn't confirmed to be a recreation of the core D&D experience in a virtual setting but almost certainly is. And there's a co-op D&D game codenamed Project Baxter in the works at Payday developer Starbreeze. Baldur's Gate 3 arrived in July 2023 and became the surprise hit of the year, with players obsessing over its seemingly infinite number of playstyles and story outcomes. It was incredibly successful commercially, pulling in $90 million for Hasbro, and is, remarkably, more popular this year than last. In our 10/10 review, IGN said: "With crunchy, tactical RPG combat, a memorable story with complex characters, highly polished cinematic presentation, and a world that always rewards exploration and creativity, Baldur's Gate 3 is the new high-water mark for CRPGs." Ryan Dinsdale is an IGN freelance reporter. He'll talk about The Witcher all day. View the full article

  24. The Fortnite Battle Pass will cost 1,000 V-Bucks starting on December 1, 2024, making the Chapter 6 Battle Pass the first to cost more than 950 V-Bucks. Fortnite players have always been able to purchase the Battle Pass with 950 V-Bucks, which would then allow them to earn it all back and then some by reaching level 100. Over time, Epic Games has made it ******* for gamers to get their in-game currency back by lowering the number of quests and XP methods available and by giving V-Bucks as Bonus Rewards, meaning gamers had to reach a higher season level in Fortnite to get all the Battle Pass V-Bucks. 25. Fields of distortions and dangerous anomalies are scattered everywhere in STALKER 2, making any new area a difficult path to walk. You have to rely on your detector to help navigate these fields, and when you first start the game, you have to go through the anomalous field. It’s one of the initial encounters you can have at the beginning of your journey, but it helps teach you the basics of how to survive this perilous landscape. Thankfully, you do have a helpful person showing you the ropes, Richter, and he teaches you what it takes to survive in the Zone. These are helpful skills for you to take with you throughout the rest of STALKER 2, even though escaping the anomalous field might not seem like a huge task. View the full article
