  2. The ****** Days have arrived in Marvel Rivals following Psylocke’s addition to the roster, providing another character to master in the battle across the Multiverse. 5. The official Infinity Nikki website was briefly hacked on launch day as millions of players around the world were logging in and booting up the game for the first time. 6. "A scenic tram ride, for cats." That's the powerful sell for Short Trip delivered in its trailer, after which anything I say would be redundant. But I'm going to say it anyway... Read more.View the full article

  9. MainFrames. | Image: The Arcade Crew Before we all settle in for The Game Awards next week, this year’s PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted had its own assortment of interesting reveals and excellent trailers. It was an indie-focused showcase, which means that there was quite a bit of inventiveness on display; everything from a unique take on TMNT to a platformer where you jump around computer windows. If you missed the show live — which also included some news updates, like PlayerUnknown’s ambitious plans for the future — here’s a curated list of some of the best stuff that was on display. [Hidden Content] Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault The original Moonlighter mixed action RPG gameplay with the mundanity of running a shop, and the sequel looks like much of the same: only this time, players are transported to another dimension they need to escape. The Endless Vault launches in 2025 on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. [Hidden Content] Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown One of the biggest surprises was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown, from indie studio Strange Scaffold. It’s billed as a turn-based take on the turtles, which is billed as an experience designed in part for “quick-play sessions that feel meaningful.” It takes place in a timeline without icons Shredder and Splinter. Given the studio’s history — see Clickolding and An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs — it will hopefully also be weird in a good way. Tactical Takedown launches on PC in 2025. [Hidden Content] Cairn This rock-climbing adventure / survival game has been looking good for a while now, and you can finally check it out for yourself: Cairn just got a free demo on Steam. [Hidden Content] Sol Mates There can never be enough co-op games. This release from Daruma Games supports local and online co-op for up to four players, who are tasked with surviving in the great expanse of space by doing “odd jobs through the galaxy.” It’s also pretty darn cute. Sol Mates launches in early access next year. [Hidden Content] The Legend of Baboo Billed as a “heartfelt nod to Middle Eastern fables,” this game looks like a potentially great mix of adventure, action, and puzzle solving, with a great big fluffy dog to ride on. In fact, you play as both the boy and the dog, who form a bond over the course of the game. Let’s hope it has a happier ending than The Last Guardian. The Legend of Baboo is launching in 2025 on both PC and Xbox. [Hidden Content] Abyssus Thanks to this game, I’ve learned of a fictional genre called “brinepunk,” where tech is powered by sea brine. It sounds weird, but this co-op shooter does take place in the fascinating underwater ruins of a long-gone civilization. Developer DoubleMoose says Abyssus will go into alpha on December 6th, with a full release next year. [Hidden Content] MainFrames All you really need to know is that this is a platformer where you’re jumping across a desktop PC interface, rearranging icons to solve puzzles, and fighting bosses controlled by the OS. It launches on both PC and the Nintendo Switch on March 6th. [Hidden Content] Deepest Fear Developed by Variable State, the indie studio behind games Virginia and Last Stop, Deepest Fear is an immersive sci-fi horror title with distinct shades of Alien and The Thing. The developers say that it “combines Metroidvania level design in the context of a classic FPS immersive sim, where the game’s setting is a puzzle to unravel and where creativity and improvisation are your greatest assets.” There’s no release date yet, but Deepest Fear will (obviously) be launching on PC whenever it’s ready. [Hidden Content] Blue Prince It looks a bit like a more colorful take on Myst, and Blue Prince is described as a game that “combines compelling mystery, strategy, and puzzle elements to create an unpredictable journey through Mt. Holly, a peculiar manor with ever-changing rooms.” It doesn’t have a release date yet, but according to the new trailer, it’s due out next spring. View the full article
  10. With no word yet on a possible XCOM 3, tactical RPG lovers everywhere are on the hunt for that next strategy fix. Among the contenders, Menace is one I'm very eagerly anticipating. It comes from Overhype Studios, which previously brought us the brutal medieval fantasy tactics game Battle Brothers, and promises to bring some smart new ideas to the format. Unfortunately, we'll be waiting a little longer than initially planned, as the studio confirms it is no longer targeting a 2024 launch. Nevertheless, with almost 300,000 Steam wishlists so far and a brand-new trailer to check out, it's certainly still one to watch in 2025. Read the rest of the story... 11. There's a (not quite) new Humble Bundle that I really think you should know about, and I'll cut straight to telling you why: It's got Prey, System Shock, the 2016 Doom reboot, the full Crysis Remastered Trilogy, and Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster, all for just $19... 12. STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a pretty spectacular game that has proven to be a hit not just among preexisting fans but also with newcomers. Its blend of open-world survival horror, a surreal narrative, and a world that feels genuinely alive has helped it climb the charts and sell extremely well within just a few days of launching. However, while many are enjoying it, there has been a wave of criticism surrounding its shaky launch. View the full article
  13. An infamous StarCraft tournament in 2011 awarded runners-up a consolatory prize of 25 Bitcoins worth over $2.5 million today. Thirteen years later, the cryptocurrency’s astronomically inflated value far makes this 2011 StarCraft competition one of the most potentially lucrative in the history of esports. 14. There's something about water that's just so terrifying. It's the feeling of knowing that, in an instant, a still, glittering river can wash you away if the current picks up, or that the ocean is a bottomless pit that's crawling with eerie, almost alien life. While The ******** Room's Still Wakes the Deep toyed with those nautical phobias, Deepest Fear takes it to a whole new level. Set in an underwater facility on Neptune, you'll have to uncover your estranged father's secrets while sending monsters down to their watery grave with swift headshots and your (hopefully) undying wit. 15. I think It’s safe to say that Trigger Happy Interactive’s upcoming survival horror Total Chaos is a bit of a palette change from their last offering - the frenetic, neon-drenched, chainsaw-legged Turbo Overkill. Still, it’s not often we see psychological horror combined with ultraviolence, and anything that gives off even a whiff of Condemned: Criminal Origins has my attention. Total Chaos started life as a popular Doom 2 mod, and while I dare the say the limitations of that game sell the atmosphere a little better than this much sleeker update, I certainly trust Trigger Happy enough to make the most of the new engine. The game is set in New Oasis, a “once bustling haven for coal miners” that is now most definitely not bustling, nor haven-like. Read more View the full article
  16. M80, a global esports organization, has just bought out fellow competitor Beastcoast, but not every team is coming along for the ride. M80 announced the purchase officially on X (formerly Twitter), where the company detailed the acquisition. The esports organization also linked to a lengthy blog post which goes in-depth about the resources M80 just acquired and why the company wanted to make such a drastic purchase. As part of the acquisition, M80 will join a lucrative esports field with a top-tier Dota 2 team. M80 also now owns Beastcoast’s influential Pokémon media team responsible for covering various events. 17. Okay, be honest; you’ve probably not finished too many full campaigns in the Civilization series. It’s okay, neither have I—there’s always some reason to tap out and start fresh. We’re not alone, and Firaxis has the numbers to prove it. Answering an assortment of interview questions from our sagely Council for The PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted—where Civilization 7 was just voted the #1 anticipated game for 2025—creative director Ed Beach got on camera to let us know what’s going to be different this time, and how Firaxis is going to be re-defining the genre after 34 years of iteration... 19. In October, as Capcom completed its months-long PR world tour with a Monster Hunter Wilds appearance at New York Comic ****, I managed to steal enough time to speak with Kaname Fujioka, the executive director and art director of Wilds. A section of our interview aired today during our PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, where Fujioka explained the Monster Hunter team's hopes for Wilds, and how it's working to cement its place in the hearts of its newly-won mainstream audience... 20. The Game Awards might be later this month, but the hype train for 2025's biggest games has already begun... even if some of them were originally scheduled to be 2024's biggest games. And for fans of unique survival games, that includes 11 Bit Sudios' The Alters, which was delayed to 2025 back in October. But during today's PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted showcase, the game returned to reconfirm its commitment to its new release window and establish just how many people are looking forward to the game, and it even came with a spiffy new trailer, which you can check out below. 21. Remaster master Nightdive Studios revealed in June that it's turning its attention to The Thing, the 2002 survival horror shooter that follows the events of the 1982 cult classic film. 22. There's something so macabrely alluring about the apocalypse - we've all asked ourselves the question "would we actually survive?" It's the reason that games like Stalker and Fallout are so popular; the intrigue of the unknown, but with the safety net of knowing that these are virtual dystopias as opposed to real ones. Set in a wartorn Eastern Europe corrupted by an eerie alien crystal, Chains of Freedom plunges you into a brand-new apocalypse, and tasks you with surviving it and bringing order back to the chaos. 23. On paper, The Alters sounds a lot like games we've all already played. It's a sci-fi survival game with base building, crafting, and everything else you'd expect. Yet, I've never seen a survival game quite like it, largely due to its focus on a character-driven story in which a worker creates alternate versions of himself in a desperate attempt to survive. It's an ambitious project, though one that's undeniably exciting on premise alone. Thankfully, to celebrate the homestretch towards the game's 2025 launch, you can download The Alters demo to try it out right now. Read the rest of the story... 24. Some day, somebody's going to make a cosy or wholesome submarine game, in which the submarine does not sprout leaks, does not run out of O2, and is never once invaded by any octopod-raddled zombies. That day is not today. Today there is only icy darkness and suffocation. Say "hello" and probably also "AIEEEEBLubLBBLBLBL" to Darkwater, a new co-op horror extraction game in which you brave the frigid oceans of an alien moon. Read more View the full article

The rewards are separated into two categories, and you’ll have to do different things to get them. This is only one of the events currently happening in Call of Duty. You can also participate in the Merry Mayhem event to celebrate the holidays with new weapons and other rewards. Unlike GobbleGum Mania, you can play Merry Mayhem in BO6 multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone. View the full article
