  2. One of Overwatch 2’s big surprises from its Spotlight showcase today is the addition of Perks, which set to redefine gameplay in the core OW2 match structure. OW2 Perks are hero-specific upgrades that are earned throughout a match, with one Minor and one Major upgrade to choose. The Perks range from slight passive tweaks to completely new abilities that overhaul how a hero performs. View the full article
  3. Overwatch 2’s newest game mode is set to revive what’s left of the scrapped PvE in a very ambitious third playlist alongside Quick Play and Competitive Mode. Revealed during OW2 Spotlight today, Stadium truly is an entirely new five-vs-five experience inside of Overwatch. It’s so different, it could even be considered its own spin-off game. It features third-person gameplay, its own ranked system with unique rewards, a best-of-seven game type, and in-game currency to upgrade heroes. It’s a lot. View the full article
  4. Overwatch 2’s roster will expand with a new DPS hero in season 16, and she both looks and sounds phenomenal. The new hero is named Freja, and she’s described as “a former search and rescue operative turned bounty hunter” who wields a crossbow that has multiple firing modes. Playing as her will be challenging, according to Blizzard, and she “requires precision and a steady aim to master.” View the full article
  5. Blizzard has announced a new perk system for Overwatch 2that sounds like it's going to shake up the hero shooter dramatically. Overwatch 2 launched with dramatic shifts from the tried-and-true Overwatch formula, most notably abandoning the 6v6 set-up and switching to 5v5. View the full article

  7. Blizzard has pulled the curtain back on the big new Stadium game mode coming to Overwatch 2 as part of Season 16. When Overwatch 2 debuted, it did so with the brand-new Push game mode. Later, Blizzard added Flashpoint and Clash. However, the response to some of these modes have been mixed. View the full article
  8. Blizzard has revealed some major changes coming to Overwatch 2 in Season 15, 16, and beyond, including the return of loot boxes and the introduction of hero bans. Overwatch 2 is currently facing its stiffest competition yet in Marvel Rivals, and while the new hero shooter on the block has proven to be wildly popular, Blizzard isn't going down swinging. On the contrary, Blizzard is preparing some massive changes to Overwatch 2 that look to not only bring back lapsed players, but convince newcomers to give the game a shot as well. 9. As you enter the final stages of a campaign of Sid Meier's Civilization 7 and begin the Modern Age, the final four Legacy Paths unlock the final Victory Conditions in the game. These four Legacy Paths follow the same categories as previous Ages, except there are no Golden Age bonuses as rewards due to no additional Ages after a Victory. 10. I vividly remember the first time I stepped foot on World of Warcraft's Asian-inspired island, Pandaria. As a budding adventurer, I was awed by the opening airship battle, stunned by the region's beauty, and enchanted by its fluffy Panda-inspired people. My jaw still drops any time I do the circle around the Serpent's Heart - it was a world quite unlike any other: lush, vivid, and exciting. But the last time I really played the MMO was during Shadowlands because, while I reviewed Dragonflight, I didn't get to put as much time into it as I'd wanted. Why? Well, MMORPGs are 'massive' by their very nature, and finding the time to slot in daily quests and raids with the squad isn't exactly easy. By contrast, Legacy: Steel and Sorcery feels like a condensed version of the WoW experience, with added extraction mechanics to boot. It's a game that showed a lot of promise in its alpha stages, and it's finally arrived on Steam in early access. Read the rest of the story... 11. Riot Games has shaken up League of Legends esports with the Fearless Draft system, an experimental format introduced in this year’s regional splits—and so far, it’s been working like a charm. In a best-of-three series, League players can ban 10 champions each match, but now, with Fearless Drafts, any champion they choose in match one becomes unavailable for the rest of the series. This takes away meta champions over time and forces pros to get deeper into the woods by choosing uncommon picks. This is a great change of pace in the competitive space, and I love seeing forgotten champions appear more often on stage—and my only issue is that Fearless Drafts won’t be in every major tournament this year. 13. We knew Barrow-Dyad was coming, but even so, this is a surprise. Bungie revealed the new exotic Strand SMG in a preview stream before last week's launch of Destiny 2's new episode, Heresy. That mission is available now, with Heresy's week two reset, but first you'll need to actually find it... Read more.View the full article
  14. Path of Exile 2 is one of the loudest releases in gaming in recent months. The game’s early access went live in December, though players currently need to pay for it—and now they’re wondering if the title will ever become free to play. The first entry in the series is now a free-to-play experience, so logically, its sequel should follow the same route. Essentially, it does, but before it’s available for free, players need to wait a bit longer. Here’s how everything works. View the full article
  15. The first details about Varesa’s gameplay kit in Genshin Impact 5.5 have leaked and, based on the information provided, the rumored playable character may be a fun new Plunging DPS to pull for when she is featured in the gacha banners. The action RPG has just entered Version 5.4, a new patch that is taking players back to the region of Inazuma for a limited-time event and an encounter with Yumemizuki Mizuki, who had long been rumored and confirmed as one of the new characters in Genshin Impact set to arrive after the end of the main Natlan story arc. 16. There’s a time-traveling thief on the loose in The Sims 4‘s Blast from the Past event, and it’s up to you and Emit Relevart to find and stop them. One of the most important steps in this quest is building a time travel component. Making this item is one of the trickiest parts of the entire event since it requires several specific materials and the completion of many prerequisites. It’s easy to get stuck on this step, so here’s how to build the time travel component in The Sims 4. View the full article For verified travel tips and real support, visit: [Hidden Content]
  17. Some fires take longer to light than others. Way back in the thematically-appropriate year of 1984 an arcade game in an incredibly cool cabinet was released in tiny numbers, and hardly anyone recognized it as the future. I, Robot was the public's first look at real-time polygon graphics, and was a commercial failure despite being a great game. Speaking as someone old enough to have played it when it was new (Aladdin's Castle was just an all-around awesome arcade and one of my first stops when I get that time machine) it's hard to express how incredible I, Robot looked at the time, obviously far less detailed than the sprite-work in standard games but how on earth did it change perspective like that? 19. Magneto often gets overlooked in Marvel Rivals while comparing different tanks who do good damage in the game, but his output could be improved with a simple redesign or buff. In a Reddit discussion, Marvel Rivals players have been specifically talking about Magneto’s melee attacks and how they feel lackluster compared to other Vanguards in the game. Some point toward the attack’s “unintuitive hitbox” which makes it a bit unreliable in teamfights. View the full article
