Last month, the Steam version of Dwarf Fortress received the long-awaited addition of its absentee roguelike Adventure Mode after a lengthy beta *******. Eels are among the first hurdles you face when eyeing a first-year Community Center completion. These slippery fishes are tricky to catch early on, partly due to them only appearing during a particular weather condition and partly due to your character not having enough progression in the Fishing skill. All said, here’s everything you need to know regarding how to catch Eel in Stardew Valley. View the full article

Since Disney Dreamlight Valley's early access version hit the market, various aspects of the game have undergone numerous changes, including the Star Path events. What started as a somewhat fun way to earn a few new items among the limited available story content has since become one of the most frustrating aspects of the game. View the full article
Overwatch 2 is aiming to change the game with its new Perks system starting in season 15, but it seems like there’s a really thin line between innovative fun and oppressive annoyance. Perks aren’t a new idea in games, but they could change how OW2 feels entirely. They’re hero-specific upgrades that players unlock throughout the duration of a match, with one Minor Perk and one Major Perk to grab via XP earned while playing. Many games have similar mechanics, such as several MOBAs. Looking at the massive list of Perks in OW2 to begin with in season 15 (there’s four each for all 43 heroes, so that’s 172 to begin with), most of them sound fun and interesting, but I feel like a few heroes could easily get out of hand. And this brings about a concern for balance troubles in a game with a roster that big. View the full article
Limbo co-producer Dino Patti has regained control of Jumpship in a new acquisition, less than three years after selling the British studio to Sweden's Thunderful Group. Besides Limbo, he is also known for working on 2022's Somerville, which was also Jumpship's debut title. View the full article
According to the latest Genshin Impact leak, Version 5.5 will finally add the rest of the Fontaine Artifact Sets to the Strongbox system. While the Fontaine era is beloved by many Genshin Impact fans, one of its most underrated contributions has been its slate of Artifact Sets. As one of the best Support characters in the entire game, Furina opened up the Marechaussee Hunter set to non-Fontaine hypercarries, allowing them to benefit from the set's bonus. On the other hand, the Golden Troupe gave older characters like Fischl an alternative way to scale up their power. View the full article

Despite having great roles, the card is let down by its poor choice of playstyles. Neither Power Shot+ nor Trivela+ are top tier choices, and some of the silver playstyles are also questionable. Additionally, the in-game stats aren't anything worth writing about, and the SBC isn't exactly cheap. In comparison, the Morgan Rogers Future Stars SBC has a better value proposition. If you're desperate for a new striker, just spend the extra fodder to obtain the new Torres Icon card in Ultimate Team. As you progress through Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you’ll likely notice several decorative sea-themed chests spread across Friendship Island. At first, these chests are impossible to open, which can be incredibly frustrating. These chests are called Radiant Chests, and some unique items are waiting to be discovered once you can open them. However, reaching the point where you can open them is a challenge requiring a hefty amount of story and friendship progression. How to get Coral Keys in Hello Kitty Island Adventure Screenshot by Destructoid Coral Keys are obtained by donating Trash to the Recycling Plant. We have a full guide on how to unlock the Recycling Plant, but here’s a quick checklist of quests that you’ll need to complete to reach that point: “Power Up the Gate” (Chococat level 1) “Open the Nature Preserve” (Keroppi level 2) “Comic Relief” (Hangyodon level 6) “Revive the Reef” (Hello Kitty level 11) Once you’ve done that, you can start donating Trash to the Recycling Plant. Each time you donate 10 Trash to the Recycling Plant, there is a chance that you can get one Coral Key. However, this is down to chance and RNG. Each time you donate, you’re equally likely to receive Coral Spores of ****** dye, so you’ll need a lot of Trash and no small amount of luck if you want a supply of Coral Keys. Image by Destructoid On the plus side, Trash is not a finite resource. Unlike any other resource in Island Adventure, there is no maximum number of Trash that can be collected each day, and it will continually respawn around Rainbow Reef every 2-3 minutes for as long as you’re willing to collect it. I’ve marked all of the spawn points for Trash on the map above. Radiant Chest items in Hello Kitty Island Adventure Screenshot by Destructoid There’s no point grinding away and collecting Trash if there aren’t worthwhile rewards on offer. Thankfully, the items inside Radiant Chests are worth grinding for, with some items that can't be obtained elsewhere. There are even some recipes for three-heart gifts within these chests, which are great to stock up on. Here’s everything you can get from Radiant Chests in Island Adventure: Pumpkin Spice Soda recipe Pink Latte (Sakura) recipe Ice Cream Overalls Toasted Marshmallow Cloud recipe Dreamy Chair Coastal Mirror Pirate ‘Chest’ Dresser Spooky Clock Coastal Armchair Hello Kitty Armchair Coastal Ottoman Hello Kitty Dining Chair Gzzrt Hello Kitty’s Cafe Chair Hello Kitty’s Cafe Table Hello Kitty’s Cafe Counter Hello Kitty’s Cafe Display Case Comedy Club Chair Comedy Club Table Dessert Boat Flooring Dessert Boat Wallpaper Whatever you get from your chosen Radiant Chest, you can choose to either leave the open chest where it is or destroy it using your Pickaxe. Destroying a chest does not provide any resources or items, so this is purely an aesthetic choice. The post How to get Ocean-themed Keys in Hello Kitty Island Adventure appeared first on Destructoid. Fields of Mistria is an absolutely glorious cozy life sim that is still in early access, but that hasn’t stopped the developers at NPC Studio from releasing regular updates. Just over six months since the early access release, we’re about to get the second major update. [Hidden Content] The next update will be coming on March 10, including a host of new features for players to dive into whether they choose to start a new farm or continue with their original one. As part of this second major update, players will finally get to meet Caldarus in the flesh (as opposed to his statue on the farm), and we’ll also get access to the mysterious Deep Woods. We know all of this is coming in this update thanks to the Fields of Mistria 2025 roadmap that was originally shared on January 17: Image via NPC Studio As a player since day one, I’m most looking forward to diving back into the Mines, where a new Fire Seal will be added, granting access to an entirely new fiery biome of 20 floors complete with new enemies, resources, and collectibles. Most of the additions are fan-requested, and there is a long list of less pivotal but no less exciting features coming as well. Sprinklers are coming (hallelujah), we can have pets, and players will even be able to tweak the speed at which time progresses in their own game. This is a rare feature in even the behemoths in the cozy game sphere. Stardew Valley, which is probably the closest comparison to Fields of Mistria, does not have this if you’re playing a vanilla game, and you need to install mods such as TimeSpeed to enable this absolute life-saver of a feature. To have it as a basic option in Fields of Mistria is sure to help it stand out from the crowd of pixel-based cozy games, even more than it already does. Image by Destructoid Sadly, the option to romance Olric seems to be becoming less and less likely as time progresses and more updates are released. However, Caldarus is known to be a romanceable character, so there will soon be more faces within the dating pool of Mistria, even if he is a bit of a dragon. Overwatch 2’s roster will expand with a new DPS hero in season 16, and she both looks and sounds phenomenal.
