Overwatch 2’s season 15 update, which added Perks and reintroduced loot boxes, among other things, has been out in the wild for two days now. For the most part, players seem to be enjoying the additions, so much so that the game’s recent reviews on Steam went from Mostly Negative to Mixed, which is a big change for OW2 on that platform. And players speaking out on social media have had a mostly positive sentiment as well. But as always, no game is perfect, and some players who are pleased with the game’s new direction still have some wishes that they hope to be granted. One such wish is for battle passes to be permanently available, which is something that OW2’s top competitor Marvel Rivals introduced late last year. View the full article

The rumblings of another installment in the Tony Hawk skateboarding franchise are getting louder, and now the birdman himself is making some of the noise on social media. Today marks the release of Season Two Reloaded of Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6, and it features a remastered version of the Grind map that originally appeared in ****** Ops 2, with a new style to reflect the game’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration. The original poster speculated that this is meant to be a teaser for a potential Tony Hawk announcement on March 4. Adding fuel to this fire was Tony Hawk himself responding to the post with an eyes emoji. View the full article
Cheaters Cheetah, an upcoming indie FPS, aims to give each and every player in a lobby full cheats, pitting them against one another to see who is the ultimate hacker. Winners in games also get the chance to, quite literally, slam the enemies with the ban hammer. Developed by indie studio Acmore Games, Cheaters Cheetah is an upcoming first-person shooter title aiming for a March 10 launch. As per the game’s official Steam description, “everyone will be given actual cheats in this multiplayer shooter.” The promotional videos show a player’s perspective as they see through walls, spinning around like a true CS2 spinbotter, their aim snapping to enemy heads automatically. Cheaters Cheetah is being “developed with the help of a former cheat developer,” and grants player the ability to use “a wild array of real-existing cheats.” View the full article
Yet another Free Skin is up for grabs in Marvel Rivals, but it will require some work to earn it. Due to the game being a free-to-play title, it tends to reward players with cosmetic items and skins if they reach a certain rank or via in-game events. Previous events, such as the “Midnight Features,” have given away skins for Thor and Jeff the Land Shark. View the full article
It’s not often that an average playlist weapon takes over the Destiny 2 sandbox, but the new Joxer’s Longsword pulse rifle has everything you might want for PvE and PvP. Joxer’s Longsword is a Void Heavy Burst pulse rifle, making it the first of its kind if you don’t count the Graviton Lance Exotic. The biggest downside of this weapon is it has way too many perks, making it difficult to get the perfect roll. There are 12 perks in the third and fourth columns, so be prepared to grind or settle with alternative perks. View the full article

A portion of the LEGO Fortnite community is surprisingly eager to spend more money in this free-to-play game—but Epic Games isn’t giving them the chance. The frustration stems from the Feb. 21 Fortnite update, whose patch notes were revealed on Feb. 20. Instead of bringing back the items players have been asking for, the update focuses on bug fixes for network errors and quest issues, along with small quality-of-life changes like the ability to rename villages and barn animals in Odyssey. Apparently, that’s not enough for many players. These bundles are rare now. Image via LEGO. Fortnite Players want LEGO Kits to return to Odyssey Many LEGO Fortnite players had the same reaction to the v34.00 patch notes thread, which Epic posted on Reddit. Instead of discussing the update, they ignored the minor changes and simply replied, "Put sets in the item shop." Some players openly expressed frustration, "Your community is begging you to let us spend money on your game." Another one commented, "why can’t you listen to your player base?" [Hidden Content] Others began tracking how long it’s been since new LEGO Kits appeared in the Item Shop, reaching 41 days on Feb. 18. "Epic hasn't really given us ANY information as to why the kits arent available in the shop 24/7," another one wrote. The "sets" or "kits" players are referring to are cosmetic items that allow users to build unique structures, parts, and decorations in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. These kits are purchased with V-Bucks, similar to Battle Pass-exclusive themed items like the Raven-inspired set. Epic has sold LEGO Kits in the Shop before, but they are now rarely available. The last new LEGO Kit released was a Halloween-themed build set on Oct. 12, 2024, according to [Hidden Content]. Since then, no new kits have launched, and the last time any kits were available for purchase was Jan. 8, when the Farmer’s Favorite decor set appeared in the Shop. With no explanation from Epic, frustrated fans are left waiting and wondering when—or if—LEGO Kits will return. The post LEGO Fortnite players beg to spend money, but Epic still won’t bring back this one item appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article

The buzz around Marvel Rivals doesn’t seem to stop anytime soon. The game has been attracting more and more players, so it’s no surprise that esports organizations are hopping on the hype train. Activision may finally be ready to start talking about its next Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game, and it seems to be using a sneaky Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 Easter Egg to get the conversation started. Call of Duty outlet CharlieIntel spotted and shared references to the publisher’s legendary skateboarding video game franchise in a peculiar place after the ****** Ops 6 Season 2 Reloaded update went live today. Included with an ammo chest of new features, weapons, and more content was the return of the fan-favorite skate-themed map, Grind. The skatepark arena has been brought back mostly as fans remember it, with one exception being a giant, in-game TV screen featuring a very Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater-looking logo and a date of March 4, 2025. Looks like a teaser for something related to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater has been found in ****** Ops 6’s Grind MP map! Announcement on March 4. [Hidden Content] — CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) February 20, 2025 It stops short of being in-your-face but is still undeniably an eyebrow-raising reference for fans who have been on the lookout for another entry in the Pro Skater series. Rumors that another installment could soon be announced began earlier this week when fellow skater Tyshawn Jones let it slip that he would soon be featured in an upcoming Tony Hawk video game (via VGC). “I’m in a Tony Hawk coming out, so that’s cool,” Jones said during a conversation on The Breakfast Club podcast. “They got a new one they remastering so that’s about to come out. I was in the last one.” It was a curious comment that had fans excited, with today’s newly revealed Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater ****** Ops 6 Easter Egg letting them know when they can expect to learn more. Unfortunately, there’s no telling what exactly that March date has in store. Activision tried to breathe life into the franchise with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 back in 2015 but has yet to release another new numbered entry since. However, in 2020, fans received the Pro Skater 1 + 2 remakes from Vicarious Visions. That means it’s been five years since a Tony Hawk game hit store shelves. With so much evidence lining up for a big reveal next month, it seems the wait may soon be over. While we wait to see what that March 4 reveal has lined up, you can read up on a few of the other skateboarding-themed inclusions in Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6 Season 2 Reloaded, including a pack of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cosmetics that have some fans upset. You can also see Tony Hawk himself confirm that he was working with Actvision again as of last year. Michael Cripe is a freelance contributor with IGN.
