Nvidia's RTX 50-series makes its first foray below the $1,000 mark starting this week, with the $749 RTX 5070 Ti—at least in theory. The third-fastest card in the Blackwell GPU lineup, the 5070 Ti is still far from "reasonably priced" by historical standards (the 3070 Ti was $599 at launch). But it's also $50 cheaper and a fair bit faster than the outgoing 4070 Ti Super and the older 4070 Ti. These are steps in the right direction, if small ones. We'll talk more about its performance shortly, but at a high level, the 5070 Ti's performance falls in the same general range as the 4080 Super and the original RTX 4080, a card that launched for $1,199 just over two years ago. And it's probably your floor for consistently playable native 4K gaming for those of you out there who don't want to rely on DLSS or 4K upscaling to hit that resolution (it's also probably all the GPU that most people will need for high-FPS 1440p, if that's more your speed). Like many RPGs, Avowed’s story changes based on what quests players complete and the choices they make. Although players typically consider completing all available quests to get the “best” story from a game, Avowed may have a stronger narrative if players fail one quest. This isn’t to say that things get better for the characters in the game; they get decidedly worse. Sony has responded to a lawsuit filed in December 2024 by former Destiny 2 and Marathon game director Christopher Barrett, saying Barrett's termination in 2024 was "justified," and that his lawsuit is "meritless." A new action RPG based on the cult-classic Samurai Pizza Catsanime has just been announced. For those too young to remember, Samurai Pizza Cats was an English localized version of Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (Cat Ninja Legend Teyandee) that was dubbed and produced by Saban Entertainment, the same company that would go on to make Power Rangers, the English dub of the first three Digimon anime seasons, and many other popular shows of the 90s and early 2000s. Overwatch 2’s season 15 update, which added Perks and reintroduced loot boxes, among other things, has been out in the wild for two days now. For the most part, players seem to be enjoying the additions, so much so that the game’s recent reviews on Steam went from Mostly Negative to Mixed, which is a big change for OW2 on that platform. And players speaking out on social media have had a mostly positive sentiment as well. But as always, no game is perfect, and some players who are pleased with the game’s new direction still have some wishes that they hope to be granted. The rumblings of another installment in the Tony Hawk skateboarding franchise are getting louder, and now the birdman himself is making some of the noise on social media. Today marks the release of Season Two Reloaded of Call of Duty: ****** Ops 6, and it features a remastered version of the Grind map that originally appeared in ****** Ops 2, with a new style to reflect the game’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration. But gamers were quick to spot a strange set of numbers on the map and quickly posted it on X/Twitter: 03.04.25. The original poster speculated that this is meant to be a teaser for a potential Tony Hawk announcement on March 4. Cheaters Cheetah, an upcoming indie FPS, aims to give each and every player in a lobby full cheats, pitting them against one another to see who is the ultimate hacker. Winners in games also get the chance to, quite literally, slam the enemies with the ban hammer. Developed by indie studio Acmore Games, Cheaters Cheetah is an upcoming first-person shooter title aiming for a March 10 launch. As per the game’s official Steam description, “everyone will be given actual cheats in this multiplayer shooter.” The promotional videos show a player’s perspective as they see through walls, spinning around like a true CS2 spinbotter, their aim snapping to enemy heads automatically. It’s not often that an average playlist weapon takes over the Destiny 2 sandbox, but the new Joxer’s Longsword pulse rifle has everything you might want for PvE and PvP. Joxer’s Longsword is a Void Heavy Burst pulse rifle, making it the first of its kind if you don’t count the Graviton Lance Exotic. The biggest downside of this weapon is it has way too many perks, making it difficult to get the perfect roll. There are 12 perks in the third and fourth columns, so be prepared to grind or settle with alternative perks. View the full article
