Killing Floor 3 has different Specialists to choose from for players, and all of them have their own dedicated set of skills to unlock. As you level up a Specialist, you'll gain access to a detailed skill tree with different options to choose from. Each skill tree has various options, and quite often, you'll have to sacrifice one in favor of another. Let's take a look at how you can progress through the skill tree and make your Specialists even more powerful. How to get new skills in Killing Floor 3 Whenever you complete a match, your chosen Specialist will gain a lot of XP. The amount of experience points you get will largely depend on whether you managed to survive all waves or not. Rounds started at higher difficulty will also allow you to level up your Specialists quickly. Image via Destructoid The first task is to gain as much XP as possible. If you check my screenshot above, you'll see that a lot of skill paths are currently locked, as I haven't leveled up my Specialist. As you keep leveling up, you'll be unlocking different paths. Once you have unlocked a path, you'll have to make a crucial decision: choose the skills you want to unlock and upgrade. For that, you'll have to spend your Proficiency Points carefully. While you can always get these points by completing objectives and playing more, they aren't available in unlimited amounts. Additionally, Proficiency Points are required to upgrade your skills as they can be improved. If you have been using a skill and its effects, you can invest more Proficiency Points to make it even better. Of course, that will automatically mean that you'll have to miss out on other skills and their effects. In the beta, the main way of obtaining Proficiency Points is just to play the game. It's better to prioritize playing with a Specialist you love as it will allow you to gain more points, which in turn will allow you to improve it faster. It's best to experiment as much as possible in the beta, and you should look to try different builds with all the available Specialists. Once Killing Floor 3 gets a full launch in March 2025, the aim should be to get more meta builds that will help you to operate your Specialists in the most efficient manner possible. You will find unique armor, boots, and gloves in Avowed scattered across the Living Lands' four main regions, which include Dawnshore, Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, and Galawain's Tusks. Unique armor comes in three standard varieties: light, medium, and heavy. Your build, playstyle, abilities, and more will determine which type of armor suits you best. As a fan of pure Ranger builds, I almost always opt for a light armor set, and there are a ton to choose from as you progress through the Envoy's journey. Gloves and boots in Avowed also carry unique effects and can complement your choice of armor in various ways. View the full article

Neutral items are a significant part of your Hero’s build in Dota 2. While RNG used to play a big part in getting your desired Neutral Item before, Patch 7.38 has mitigated much of the uncertainty. Now they are made up of two components—Artifacts and Enhancements. Artifact is the ability part of the Neutral item, which can be active, passive, or both. Enchantment, on the other hand, is the stat/attribute bonus part. Based on what your hero “truly needs” in a particular scenario, you can mix and match any Artifact with any Enchantment to craft your personalized Neutral Item. View the full article

Dune: Awakeninghas been anticipated for a while, but the time for a release is finally drawing near. As a survival MMO set in the world of Frank Herbert's Dune, Dune: Awakening is built on the brand of the recent, well-received film adaptations. Nvidia's RTX 50-series makes its first foray below the $1,000 mark starting this week, with the $749 RTX 5070 Ti—at least in theory. The third-fastest card in the Blackwell GPU lineup, the 5070 Ti is still far from "reasonably priced" by historical standards (the 3070 Ti was $599 at launch). But it's also $50 cheaper and a fair bit faster than the outgoing 4070 Ti Super and the older 4070 Ti. These are steps in the right direction, if small ones. We'll talk more about its performance shortly, but at a high level, the 5070 Ti's performance falls in the same general range as the 4080 Super and the original RTX 4080, a card that launched for $1,199 just over two years ago. And it's probably your floor for consistently playable native 4K gaming for those of you out there who don't want to rely on DLSS or 4K upscaling to hit that resolution (it's also probably all the GPU that most people will need for high-FPS 1440p, if that's more your speed). Like many RPGs, Avowed’s story changes based on what quests players complete and the choices they make. Although players typically consider completing all available quests to get the “best” story from a game, Avowed may have a stronger narrative if players fail one quest. This isn’t to say that things get better for the characters in the game; they get decidedly worse. However, it also adds some important dramatic beats to the story that feel somewhat lessened if players follow through with every side quest. View the full article
