Ubisoft has said it’s aware that a significant number of people have been able to obtain Assassin’s Creed Shadows nearly a month ahead of its release, and claimed that any footage being shared online is not representative of the launch game. On Tuesday, there were reports of multiple copies of the new Assassin’s Creed game being sold on auction sites, weeks ahead of the game’s official March 20 release date. At the time of publishing, multiple users were streaming the game online. In a statement, Ubisoft called the leaks “unfortunate”, and claimed that it was still planning a launch patch that isn’t present in the versions of Shadow being played by members of the public.
