  4. The Dream Guardian is an interesting figure in Baldur's Gate 3, and at first plays a mysterious but vital role in the lives of the party as they seek to stop the Absolute. However, as the game progresses, this character changes and is at the center of one of the best twists I've seen in a long time, completely altering their context within the narrative. But what many playing the epic RPG might have missed is just how Larian Studios pulled off this fantastic surprise. View the full article

  7. Your Palico provides a ton of support while you hunt in Monster Hunter Wilds—but its constant jibber-jabber can be annoying. It’s no surprise that the human voice lines for Palico aren’t a fan-favorite feature, considering the new feature was met with harsh criticism in the game’s beta. Fortunately, the devs listened to the community and provided a couple of ways to turn off your Palico’s voice lines. View the full article
  8. In Monster Hunter Wilds, at the start of Chapter 1-3 To the Forest, your first objective is to “Head toward the forest.” But the game provides no guide or marker, and the forest is not on the map. So, how are you supposed to know where the forest is? While you can use your Seikret’s auto-navigation to reach most objectives in Monster Hunter Wilds, the “Head toward the forest” objective offers no such assistance. Fortunately, this guide will help you to locate the forest and head all the way to it. View the full article
  9. A new free Light Cone has been leaked for Honkai: Star Rail and it may make you feel obligated to pull for Anaxa in Version 3.2. The turn-based RPG is currently at the start of Version 3.1, an update that continues the contents introduced with Version 3.0 and brings two new playable characters who had previously been introduced as NPCs: Tribbie and Mydei. There is still a lot of content to explore in Version 3.1, but some attention is shifting toward Version 3.2 thanks to the beta tests, which have revealed information such as Castorice’s materials in Honkai: Star Rail. 10. While I'll always have an affinity for RE5, Resident Evil Outbreak and its sequel File 2 are the best co-op games in the survival horror series. Tense multiplayer action in that old-school style, with a touch of randomization to keep repeat runs fresh and danger lurking around every corner, makes the PS2 pair beloved cult classics to this day. We may not get an official remake any time soon, but new Steam game Blood Typers is here to fill the gap - and it combines the format with another iconic PC zombie game favorite, Typing of the Dead. 14. When you begin your hunt in Monster Hunter Wilds, you begin in Low Rank, which is essentially the game’s version of easy mode to get players used to the game before dropping some of the hardest bosses around in High Rank. For returning hunters, High Rank is truly where the game begins, as you get access to some of the best weapons, armor, and skills to fine-tune your builds across the various weapons and unlock a lot of the map and the full roster of monsters to face off against. 15. The first Path of Exile 2 race event arrives today, and I'd encourage anyone who's been enjoying the new ARPG to give it a try. Back in the early days of the first PoE, I dipped into the feature out of pure curiosity. Even though I wasn't very good at first, I found myself enjoying the game even more and getting better at it along the way. It opened my eyes to a newfound appreciation for PoE, and I'd recommend everybody has a go. 18. VALORANT is all set to welcome its 27th agent, Waylay, and her prismatic abilities to its ever-growing roster. If you’re wondering how her abilities work, we’ve got you covered with a comprehensive Waylay guide for your VALORANT games. Hailing from Thailand, Waylay, a Radiant duelist, uses light energy to power up her kit. While her unique abilities don’t deal damage, she’s well-equipped to tackle fights and can seamlessly make space for her allies. Unlike what we’d normally expect from a light-wielding VALORANT agent, she surprisingly can’t blind her enemies. She can, however, impose a new debuff, known as “Hindering,” on them. 21. Monster Hunter Wilds has a pretty cool system for the cutscenes, as you can skip and rewatch them whenever you want. The cutscenes represent a vast part of the gameplay as they help you understand the main campaign's lore and story. There are plenty of scenes of cinematic beauty that tell you more about Nata and what happened with his tribe. While you can save time by skipping them in the first place, there's an easy way to rewatch any cutscenes you want as long as you have unlocked them in the first place. How to skip cutscenes in Monster Hunter Wilds Skipping a cutscene is pretty simple, although I was briefly confused when playing on my PS5. Unless you have changed the default controls, you can skip a cutscene by pressing the Y button on a keyboard and the back button on your controller. If you're on PS5 like me, the skip option is utilized by pressing the big Touchpad in the middle (this was the confusing part for me). To skip, you'll have to press the button for at least a few seconds. When it comes to conversations, the options are far more limited. Unlike a cutscene, conversations can only be sped up and not skipped entirely. If you want, you can pause the cutscene by pressing the relevant buttons. To unpause, press the same buttons again, and the cutscene will continue to play normally. Unfortunately, there's no way to speed up a cutscene: you can watch it completely or skip it. Image via Destructoid How to rewatch a cutscene in Monster Hunter Wilds Rewatching a cutscene is as easy as skipping it in the first place. Go to the main screen of Monster Hunter Wilds. You'll find "Gallery" among a host of different options. The Gallery consists of all the cutscenes you accessed on your adventure, available to watch as many times as you want. While you can skip the cutscenes, I have refrained from doing so. The videos are not only brilliant on their own, but they help you understand your Hunter's actions and what place Nata has in the full Monster Hunter Wilds story. 23. In Avowed, there is a hidden choice during Rossana's quest that you will only get if you have a certain stat line. You meet Rossana in Fior Mes Iverno, where you can find her praying off to the right of the bounty board in a secluded area. If you talk to her, she will say that all of the problems in the area started because they abandoned the spirits of the dead. However, you can do a number of things after you talk to her that will change how the quest goes. View the full article
  24. One of the best parts of Avowedis acquiring a new unique weapon and putting it to good use, and that's no less true for its selection of unique guns. Avowed's unique weapons include three unique arquebuses (long-range rifles) and four unique pistols. The limited number of unique pistols and arquebuses makes each one of them extremely valuable and much more powerful than your run-of-the-mill common guns, and therefore are well worth your time tracking down.
