Jin Dahaad is one of the tougher monsters you'll face as you near the end of Monster Hunter Wilds' main story. A somewhat reptilian Leviathan-type monster, Jin Dahaad is the apex predator of the Iceshard Cliffs region, and it earns its title. You'll first encounter it in Chapter 3-3, "Nothing Frozen, Nothing Gained," just before you venture out of the Iceshard Cliffs and inch closer to Nata's home village. With a spiny exoskeleton, a powerful roar, and an arsenal of powerful Ice-elemental attacks, Jin Dahaad can prove a challenge, even to experienced players. View the full article
The citizens of Undermine all need help, and it's the duty of brave adventurers to lend a hand. There's a lot to see and do, and sometimes, it's easy to get lost on what you need to finish specific quests. We can help. The G.E.T.A. storyline has a particularly strange hang-up when it comes to completing the quests. Players are asked to hunt down a Crocodilian, Radioactive Rat, and eventually a mudskipper named The Captain. Upon returning to the quest giver, you'll notice that the quest isn't marked complete. You have to mount the trophies of those three enemies somewhere specific to get quest credit. Image by Destructoid Behind the quest giver, Bruxie Skyhook, and her sidekicks, Harris and Colton, are three wall mounts. They're easy to miss, with Undermine's general decor being exceptionally busy. Once you have the enemy heads, you'll want to interact with the wall mounts to add them to Bruxie's wall. After that, you'll be able to turn in the quest. Where to G.E.T.A. started To get the storyline going, you first need to complete the story quest for Undermine up until the quest "Sour Victory." Once you've completed that, you can pick up "Working for G.E.T.A." from a flyer located in the Incontinental Hotel. It's also found in a few random places around the map, in case you see a quest marker for it elsewhere. Follow the quest objective to Bruxie Skyhook, who is located on the underside of an empty building. Image by Destructoid She'll task you with finding the Radioactive Rat and Crocodilian first. You can see the locations on your map, where you'll drop into sewer manholes to put down some bait. Once you defeat them, you'll take them both back to Bruxie and mount their heads to the wall. She'll then have you do the same thing to The Captain, located in the eastern part of the map. Once you're done, return to Bruxie and complete the storyline. It's quick, easy, and worth some decent rewards early on. The post Where to place the G.E.T.A. Crocodilian and Radioactive Rat trophy in World of Warcraft War Within appeared first on Destructoid. It's not an understatement to say that knowing how to farm Monster Fluid is a must in Monster Hunter Wilds, as the material will give you access to the great-for-early-game tier-two Bone weapons, which must also be unlocked to get access to many end-game favorites. But although the title won't tell you straight away, it is actually possible to farm the material from the get-go. Here's where to find and how to farm Monster Fluid in Monster Hunter Wilds. How to find and best way to farm Monster Fluid in Monster Hunter Wilds Image by Destructoid You can get Monster Fluid in Monster Hunter Wilds as a chance target reward after slaying Lala Barina and any Vespoids, Bulaqchis, and Cumaqchis. It is also possible to get it by carving the remains of both Nerscylla Hatchlings and the aforementioned Vespoids. You can check out the exact probability of each of the above dropping the material below: Bulaqchi: 30% chance (Target Reward) Vespoid: 23% (Target Reward) / 20% (Carving) Comaqchi: 30% (Target Reward) Nerscylla Hatchling: 100% (Carving) Lala Barina: 18% (Target Reward) Although you can farm the fluid fairly well by repeatedly completing the Buggin' in the Desert Optional Commission, the best way to do it is to head to Nerscylla's lair on Iceshard Cliffs and kill her Hatchlings. Once in the area, the monsters will be scattered in spades, thus allowing you to farm a massive amount in a matter of seconds when using the right weapon. All recipes using Monster Fluid Image by Destructoid Apart from being used to craft all of the tier two Bone Tree weapons in MH Wilds, Monster Fluid is also needed to craft the Sonic ***** II for your Palico, as well as the Barina Greaves part of the Lala Barina Set, the Vespond Coil part of the Vespond Set. The first version of both the Intimidator and Poison Charms will also demand it. Playing multiplayer with friends in Monster Hunter Wilds is confusing, trying to differentiate between lobbies, squads, link parties, and environment links. In the case of Environment Link, here is what it is used for and how it’s different compared to other multiplayer lobby options. What is Environment Link in Monster Hunter Wilds? Environment Link is a feature in Wilds where you can physically explore the big open worlds with friends. This is different than setting up a Hunt or Investigation where, upon failing or completing your mission, you go back to a camp site. Here, you can openly kill or capture monsters, collect gems, harvest plants and bugs, and set up new camp sites. It’s also useful for when you want to create and save new investigations for target-farming monster-specific gear. Screenshot by Destructoid How to use Environment Link in Monster Hunter Wilds To use Environment Link in Monster Hunter Wilds, you have to create a Link Party with friends. This can be accessed by bringing up your options menu, finding the Communication tab, and clicking Link Party. You can only have a party of up to four people. Once you invite whoever you want to that Link Party, you then have to repeat this process, now finding a new “Invite to Environment Link” option in the same menu. You’ll then sync your world instance with up to three other players so you can seamlessly explore every place without having to post up quests. Is there a point to Environment Link? Once you finish the “main” part of the story, you will have access to High Rank hunts. You have more open freedom here, finding new and old monsters of your level and above. However, to access these monsters, you have to find them in the wild. This requires you to venture around and engage in battles with them. When enough time has passed in a fight, they’re now logged into your quest board for future runs. In an Environment Link party, you can encounter these monsters together and help log new entries in the quest board. The Dream Guardian is an interesting figure in Baldur's Gate 3, and at first plays a mysterious but vital role in the lives of the party as they seek to stop the Absolute. However, as the game progresses, this character changes and is at the center of one of the best twists I've seen in a long time, completely altering their context within the narrative. But what many playing the epic RPG might have missed is just how Larian Studios pulled off this fantastic surprise. View the full article

Your Palico provides a ton of support while you hunt in Monster Hunter Wilds—but its constant jibber-jabber can be annoying. It’s no surprise that the human voice lines for Palico aren’t a fan-favorite feature, considering the new feature was met with harsh criticism in the game’s beta. Fortunately, the devs listened to the community and provided a couple of ways to turn off your Palico’s voice lines. View the full article

While I'll always have an affinity for RE5, Resident Evil Outbreak and its sequel File 2 are the best co-op games in the survival horror series. Tense multiplayer action in that old-school style, with a touch of randomization to keep repeat runs fresh and danger lurking around every corner, makes the PS2 pair beloved cult classics to this day. We may not get an official remake any time soon, but new Steam game Blood Typers is here to fill the gap - and it combines the format with another iconic PC zombie game favorite, Typing of the Dead.
