1. When it comes to fine tuning a Pokémon choice for your team in Pokémon Go, it all comes down to your options for their moveset and the attacks they learn. Skeledirge just received some special treatment with updated attacks following its Community Day event. Not only are Community Days a great way for players to increase their chances of catching a Shiny version, but it also means the featured Pokémon can learn an exclusive move. The move is typically an upgrade from their previous moveset, and can prove to be a powerful asset that changes up how you use them on your teams. For Fuecoco’s Community Day, Skeledirge received some fantastic choices that make it a must-have for many players. We’ll be breaking down the best moveset you can give Skeledirge in Pokémon Go, and what makes it a good choice for your team. View the full article
2. Since Hilary Swank was introduced in the Yellowjackets Season 3 trailer, fans have theorized which character she could be. There are many ways it could turn out, and we're here to shine a light on the best speculations. Note that there will be major spoilers for Yellowjackets Season 3 below. Yellowjackets Hilary Swank's character, explained The Yellowjackets Season 3 First Look shows Hilary Swank's mysterious character as she runs away from an unknown force. The Official Trailer continues with this theme, where she is once again in danger. Although she has yet to show up in Season 3, we're getting more and more clues on who she could be. Adult Melissa theory Image by Destructoid Out of all the Hilary Swank character speculations, her being Adult Melissa is at the top of the list. Young Melissa's been getting much more screen time than in past seasons, possibly hinting at her critical role in the Adult timeline. Redditors have also noted that Hilary Swank and Jenna Burgess (Young Melissa) have some facial similarities. Sure, they may have different colored eyes, but they could totally rock some lenses, just like Sophie Nélisse does to bring Shauna's character to life. Yellowjacket Sibling theory Image by Destructoid If it's not Adult Melissa, how about Hilary Swank playing the sibling of a fallen Yellowjacket? We've barely scratched the surface when it comes to the families of those who died (apart from Jackie's family), so bringing Swank in could be the perfect way to finally shed light on that. One Redditor even mentions how she could be Melissa's sister, which would explain the facial similarities. A sibling revenge story wouldn't be too far-fetched, especially with how Season 3 is going. There's definitely someone out there hunting down the surviving Yellowjackets—just look at how Shauna's been targeted, and now Lottie’s been pulled into it, too. Kevyn Tan's ex theory Image via Showtime My personal favorite theory has to be the one that suggests Hilary Swank is actually Kevyn Tan's ex. It seemed odd to me that his death was just swept under the rug after playing a pretty crucial role in the Adult storyline. Maybe she's using Kevyn's law enforcement resources to get back at the Yellowjackets as she tries to find the reason behind his sudden death. If Swank's character turns out to be the person messing with the Yellowjackets, it will give us an understanding of why Shauna and Lottie are the first targets. Shauna was one of the last people Kevyn was investigating before his demise, giving his ex more than enough reason to hunt her down. Kevyn was also last seen at Camp Green Pine, the “community” Lottie ran, which could explain why she’s another target. Whatever the case, it seems like we'll get an answer soon, especially since we're already on the fifth episode. I'll keep you updated on any news regarding Hilary Swank's Yellowjackets character, whether with teasers or a new episode. While you wait, check out our feature on how Other **** may have taken over in Season 3. The post Who does Hilary Swank play in Yellowjackets? (Theories Explained) appeared first on Destructoid. 4. The UI in Sid Meier's Civilization 7 might be the main reason it didn't have a very promising launch. Even after Update 1.1.0 earlier this week, there's a long road ahead, and an even longer list of UI problems. I'm not the sort of Civ player to be so focused on UI or other design snafus that I can't enjoy a campaign, but the numerous "minor" UI issues in Civ 7 are like death by a thousand paper cuts. And sadly, the UI updates in 1.1.0 are a sign that Civ 7 might be prioritizing the wrong things. View the full article
5. It’s always exciting when a new graphics card hits the market—especially one that promises to shake things up. But while NVIDIA made some bold claims about what their newest GPU could do, early testers and reviewers aren’t exactly thrilled with the reality. During CES 2025, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang took the stage and declared that the RTX 5070, the little sibling of the new 5080 and 5090 cards, would deliver “4090 performance at $549.” That’s a massive promise, considering the RTX 4090 costs a whopping $1,599. But now that the RTX 5070 is in the hands of tech reviewers and gamers, that claim is looking shakier by the day. View the full article
6. Balatro developer Local Thunk has published an extensive history of the game's development to his personal blog, in which he admits he didn't play any rogue-like games at all during Balatro's development...except one. In his development timeline, the anonymous developer says as of December 2021, he made a conscious effort not to play any more roguelike games starting from that point. "I want to be crystal clear here and say that this was not because I thought it would result in a better game, this was because making games is my hobby, releasing them and making money from them is not, so naively exploring roguelike design (and especially deckbuilder design, since I had never played one before) was part of the fun for me. I wanted to make mistakes, I wanted to reinvent the wheel, I didn’t want to borrow tried-and-true designs from existing games. That likely would have resulted in a more tight game but it would have defeated the purpose of what I love about making games." However, a year and a half later, Local Thunk broke their rule exactly once. He downloaded Slay the Spire. "Holy *****," he wrote. "now that is a game." He goes on to explain why he started playing in the first place: "I did this because I was having some troubles in my controller implementation and I wanted to see how they handled controller inputs for a card game but I ended up getting sucked in. Thank goodness I avoided playing it until now because I surely would have just copied their incredible design (intentionally or subconsciously)." Local Thunk's post-mort is full of interesting insights. For one, he explains that early on in development he named the production working folder for Balatro "CardGame" and then just...never changed it. He also reveals that the working title for the game throughout much of its development was "Joker Poker." Local Thunk also provided a number of insights into scrapped features, including: "a version where the only way to upgrade anything is to upgrade the cards in your deck in a sort of pseudo-shop, and those cards can be upgraded multiple times (think like Super Auto Pets, pets have different XP/levels when combined, same idea)""a separate currency for rerolls outside of %1quot;"a ‘golden seal’ to be added to playing cards when you skip all blinds that returns that card to hand after it has been played" We also got treated to an anecdote on how Balatro landed on 150 Jokers. It was apparently the result of a miscommunication: "I also had a meeting with Playstack [the publisher] this month [October 2023] where I described to them the final content in the game, including ‘120 Jokers’," Local Thunk wrote. "Later that week I had another meeting with them, and someone mentioned something about 150 Jokers. I couldn’t remember if I accidentally said I was going to make 150 or if they misheard me, but either way I thought that 150 was a much better number so I added 30 more Jokers to the plan." Finally Local Thunk provided the deep origin story of the name...Local Thunk. tl;dr, it's a programming joke: "My partner was learning to code in R at the time, and she asked me 'How do you name your variables?' I went on some rant about casing, using descriptive words, underscores, etc. She waits until I am finished and says 'I like to call mine thunk'. I thought that was just about the funniest thing I had ever heard. "The way variables are declared in Lua is (sometimes) with the local keyword, thus local thunk was born! I wouldn’t choose this name for quite a while yet but this is the moment I looked back on when I was finally ready to create a developer handle online." There's a lot more to read about the making of Balatro in Local Thunk's blog, which can be found here. Needless to say, we love Balatro at IGN, giving it a 9/10 and calling it "A deck-builder of endlessly satisfying proportions, it's the sort of fun that threatens to derail whole weekend plans as you stay awake far too late staring into the eyes of a jester tempting you in for just one more run." Rebekah Valentine is a senior reporter for IGN. You can find her posting on BlueSky @duckvalentine.bsky.social. Got a story tip? Send it to [email protected]. View the full article
7. Few sports are more primed for the whole “being a video game” thing than professional wrestling, but it’s kinda weird when you think about it: the WWE itself is more akin to an elaborately choreographed fight or dance sequence in a movie than it is an actual competition, whereas the goal of the games based on it is to fight to win. But inherent contradictions aside, I’m enjoying my time with WWE 2K25 so far – just a couple of days in – thanks to its much-improved Showcase mode and generally great game feel. When I step into a new version of an annualized game like this, the first thing I try to do is get the lay of the land. Even though I’ve been playing wrestling games since the N64 days, my first stop is the tutorial because, unless things have gone very wrong, something is always a little different (this year, for instance, sees the long-requested return of Chain Wrestling) or I’ve forgotten how to do some very important, very specific button sequence you need to be able to do. WWE games have had a good introduction for a while now, especially compared to other sports game franchises (Hi, Madden!), and WWE 2K25 is no exception. This is an incredibly detailed tutorial that will walk you through everything you need to be a champ in the ring, with in-depth explanations of what moves do and how to do them. The Performance Center is a great teaching tool whether you need a quick refresher or you’re learning to do an Irish Whip for the first time. This may seem like an odd thing to spill ink over, but every version of a game is someone’s first – or maybe their first in a while – and I’m glad Visual Concepts seems to remember those people. Once I’d refreshed my memory, I spent a while just looking around. WWE 2K25’s got an absolutely stacked roster, whether you’re here for classics like Bret “Hit Man” Hart, wrestlers-turned-movie-stars like Dave Bautista/Batista and Dwayne Johnson/The Rock, megastars like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, or weirdos like Doink the Clown. I also appreciate that there are several versions of the same dudes from across their history in the WWE. Why yes WWE 2K25, I do need a handful of Triple Hs, each with their own different stats, thank you! Did you know that, compared to the modern version of The Rock, the 1997 version is considered a ****? Me neither, but that’s what the stats say! Remember what Rhea Ripley’s visual style was in 2020? Or 2017? When was the last time you thought about “Ravishing” Rick Rude? This stuff is great, and what’s better is you can edit just about every aspect of these wrestlers, from how the crowd reacts to them to tweaking individual stats and changing out moves if you don’t like Visual Concepts’ take on them. The ability to tweak individual wrestlers is not new, but as this roster gets *******, it’s good to be reminded of how impressive all of it is. What’s captured most of my attention so far is this year’s Showcase mode. Among other new things in WWE 2K25, so far I’ve briefly toyed with intergender matches, The Island (I mean, who among us hasn’t wanted to impress Roman Reigns?), and new MyRise storylines. But what’s captured most of my attention so far is this year’s Showcase mode, which follows the Bloodline and the Anoa’i, Fatu, and Maivia families. Paul “The Wiseman” Heyman hosts the thing this year, and he’s clearly having a very good time providing the backstory that explains who the players are and why these matches are significant. There’s a lot of archival footage here, as in years past, though the problem of blurring out some folks’ faces (maybe due to rights issues?) persists. Regardless, Showcase feels better than last year’s version (partially because this time we’ve got full ring entrances and the mid-match commentary is really excellent, and here for every match) and a fun twist this time around is that you’re sometimes asked to change the outcomes of matches members of these families lost in the real WWE storyline. If what I’ve played is any indication of the whole, there are also no longer any cuts to match footage that interrupt your gameplay. Big moments are instead recreated in-game, which means they play out more organically, even if you’re not following the checklist. So far, I’m having a blast doing things like beating the ever-loving snot out of Hulk Hogan with Yokozuna. Bruises, blood, and sweat are more realistic. The other thing that’s stood out is just how good it all looks. The WWE series has always been a looker, but this year Visual Concepts has managed to make things noticeably prettier than ever. Bruises, blood, and sweat are more realistic, and you can tell how long a match has been going, who is winning, and where the guys in the ring are taking the most punishment at a glance. It’s really impressive. And that’s kind of where I am with WWE2K25 as a whole as we head into the first weekend. There’s a lot left to do before I can slap a number on this bad boy, but it looks fantastic, feels pretty great (just like WWE 2K24), and there’s a lot of it. An upscale wrestling buffet, if you will. What I’ve had so far is scrumptious, but there’s still a wide selection of dishes on the table, and your boy’s gotta taste test ‘em all. Better get back to it – that circle’s not gonna square itself. Are you playing? Let us know what you think so far! View the full article
8. With year five of the Apex Legends Global Series now only about a month away, the big organizations are locking in their rosters in North America, including some of the scene’s biggest names. Today, 100 Thieves, NRG, and the newly reformed Envy all made it official with their squads in with plenty of familiar faces donning new jerseys. The headliner of the day was undoubtedly 100 Thieves, who just saw iiTzTimmy leave the org as a pro and content creator this week. But they more than made up for it in firepower, pairing former world champ Genburten with another ALGS champion in Verhulst, fresh off his run with TSM over the past couple of years. Leading the team as IGL will be Phony, who also has a LAN championship under his belt after taking the the ALGS Split Two Playoffs with Spacestation Gaming last year. View the full article

10. The alleged Spiral Abyss enemy lineup for the Genshin Impact 5.5 update has been leaked. The number of enemies across all the chambers on Floor 12 is not much, but it is expected to feature at least four world bosses, and it will be a good challenge for everyone. Potential Spiral Abyss Floor 12 enemies in Genshin Impact 5.5 HomDGCat is a reliable source, and they have shared the complete Spiral Abyss Floor 12 enemy lineup for the Genshin Impact 5.5 update. This formation is for the April 16 to May 15 cycle. Floor 12 Chamber 1 Image via HoYoverse Listed below are all the enemies that you can expect in the first chamber of Floor 12: First half - level 95 Wave 1: Hydro Tulpa x1 - 3,747,865 HP Second half - level 95 Wave 1: Abyss Lector Violet Lightning x1 - 832,465 HP Wave 2: Millennial Pearl Seahorse x1 - 1,873,932 HP Both halves of the first chamber have one world boss, but they are pretty easy to beat. Floor 12 Chamber 2 Image via HoYoverse Here are the enemies that will be in the second chamber: First half - level 98 Wave 1: Secret Source Automaton Configuration Device x1 - 5,021,308 HP Second half - level 98 Wave 1: Fluid Avatar of Lava x1 - 1467767 HPWave 2: Thundering Wayob Manifestation x1 - 1,351,891 HP The second chamber has only one boss in the first half, the Secret Source Automaton Configuration Device. However, it also has the highest HP out of all the enemies on Floor 12, so bring a strong ST DPS unit. Floor 12 Chamber 3 Image via HoYoverse The third chamber of the Spiral Abyss Floor 12 will feature the following enemies: First half - level 100 Wave 1: Hydro Mimic Boar (Enhanced) x2 - 468,755 HPWave 2: Vivianne of the Lake x1 - 2,711,995 HPWave 2: Ninianne of the Lake x1 - 3,036,436 HP Second half - level 100 Wave 1: Solitary Suanni x1 - 3,452,386 HP Once again, there's only one world boss, but to make the challenge more interesting, you will face two tanky local legends from Fontaine. The Floor 12 enemies for the version 5.5 reset are easy to beat, but they have very high HP, and defeating them within the time limit will be challenging. Additionally, a good proportion of the opponents are immune to Hydro, so Pyro and Cryo DPS units will be effective here, while characters like Neuvillette won't be reliable. That's all for the Spiral Abyss leaks. We will update the enemy lineup if there's any change in the future. Many of them are niche quests where you’ll work on specific aspects outside of hunting large monsters, such as the several fishing quests you get from Kanya. 17. Not all characters in Apex Legends are created equal, and different legends getting their time in the sun means others need to wait in the shade. Or in this case, the gas. Caustic has seen sunnier days in Apex, and his pick rate in the game currently proves it. He’s sitting at just 0.6 percent in all modes currently, according to Apex Legends Status, which makes him the second-least picked legend in the game. Only Seer has a worse pick rate currently, and it gets even worse at higher ranks of the game, where Master and Predator players are only picking Caustic 0.2 percent of the time. That’s a steep drop of about 30 percent over the last week or two in those ranks. View the full article
18. Let's start by saying this: there is no best weapon type in Monster Hunter Wilds. If you're looking for a definitive answer on which weapon type will get you the fastest hunt times every time because it's just that good and overpowered, there isn't one. The truth of it is that you should choose what feels good to play with for you. If you're not carting, are consistently hitting the monster, and having fun while doing it, that's what matters the most. There's a lot that goes into making a build for any given weapon successful, like armor, decorations, and a particular Artian weapon for the particular monster you're up against, and those are the most important aspect, but if you're looking for weapon types that just might help you get those hunt times down, these are great ones to try. This tier list of best weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds was created by Frankensteining IGN's community tier list, online sentiment, my own opinion based on difficulty to master, and some current speedrun time averages. Monster Hunter Wilds Best Weapons Tier List The "best" weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds are Sword and Shield, Great Sword, Long Sword, Gunlance, and Bow, in no particular order, but the rest of the weapons are absolutely viable. These just stand out above the rest for a variety of reasons, which we'll describe below. S-tier: These are the best of the best for both damage output and relative ease of use to get there. The Gunlance is the most technical weapon here, but its benefits are worth it according to the community. Sword and ShieldGreat SwordLong SwordGunlanceBow A-tier: A-tier weapons have the potential to be as good as S-tier weapons in the right hands as they tend to be a bit more technical and less forgiving, or they fall just a tiny bit short. The Hunting *****, though potentially not the best solo weapon, is exceptional in co-op. Insect GlaiveCharge BladeDual BladesHunting *****Heavy BowgunSwitch Axe B-tier: These may fall a bit short compared to S- and A-rank weapons even when in the most experienced hands, but that doesn't at all mean they're "bad." They just might take a little more effort and fine-tuned builds for the results of some of the others. LanceHammerLight Bowgun Why only three tiers?: As we said in the intro, there is no real best weapon in Monster Hunter Wilds, and every weapon is viable. You could even have a totally different tier list depending on the monster you're hunting. Don't let tier lists discourage you from playing your favorite weapon. B-tier is still great on the IGN scale! Best Monster Hunter Wilds Weapons ExplainedSword and Shield The Sword and Shield is amazing in Monster Hunter Wilds. It's long been grossly underrated as solely the "beginner" weapon, and while it's easy to pick up and get to it, it's also one of the most versatile, consistent weapons in the game that can deal a ton of damage once you get your combos and movements down. Not only is it incredibly mobile even in the middle of attacks, allowing you to stick on monsters like mud on a Jyuratodos, but it can also guard and deal punishing damage. It can even perfect guard incredibly easily, letting you perform quick, powerful counter slashes and proc an Offensive Guard buff if you have that Equipment Skill. For support hunters, it can even use items without putting it away, letting you administer life-saving Lifepowders and buffing items for your whole party in a flash. Whether you prefer to evade or block, deal slashing or blunt damage, or even attack from above, the Sword and Shield has got it all--even a Power Clash. The only thing it's missing is an Offset attack. See all Sword and Shields in MH Wilds Great Sword The Monster Hunter developers have said the first weapon they tool in new games is the Great Sword, and it shows. It can take advantage of Wilds' new Power Clashes and incredibly satisfying Offset attacks, and its kit in general is quintessential Monster Hunter satisfaction in a nutshell. It will take more getting used to than the Sword and Shield, as it's quite slow, and mishits can be punishing, but the introduction of Focus Mode makes it easier than ever to aim. If you're looking for the highest damage output in a single strike, the Great Sword is a great pick, and those True Charged Slash hits look so satisfying. See all Great Swords in Monster Hunter Wilds Long Sword The Long Sword is consistently Monster Hunter's most popular weapon for good reason. It's fast and fairly easy to pick up, with a fun, flashy, and satisfying playstyle that relies on its powerful perfect-evading counterattack, the Foresight Slash, to quickly build up the Spirit Gauge to deal max damage. It's also got amazing reach, considering its size, so slicing off tails is a breeze with the Long Sword. It takes some management to maintain a maxed Spirit Gauge, but doing it is well worth the incredible damage output the Long Sword can accomplish when you're in a flow with it. See all Long Swords in Monster Hunter Wilds Gunlance To be honest, I know little about the Gunlance, but IGN's community tier list contributors, speedrunners, and people around the internet seem to love it in Monster Hunter Wilds. I have found it much more difficult to pick up than the other S-tier weapons, but if you master it, it's got amazing defense with its huge shield capable of Perfect Guards and explosive power in exchange for some mobility. In Wilds, the Gunlance can now fire two Wyvern's Fire shots, which also have longer range. Its new attack, Wyrmstake Full Blast, is also incredibly powerful! See all Gunlances in Monster Hunter Wilds. Bow Though the bow isn't doing too hot in Tempered Arkveld speedruns, many agree it's an amazing pick in Monster Hunter Wilds, and I've seen it often voted as the strongest weapon in community polls. It certainly feels powerful, even despite its minor Focus Strike nerf since the Open Beta Test. So, what makes it S-tier? The Bow has a new move in Wilds that guarantees your shots will hit its intended target and crit: Tracer Ammo. Wilds also makes it so the Bow never runs out of its damage-boosting or ailment-inflicting coatings, further increasing its damage potential. Finally, if you perfect your dodge timing, the Bow's Discerning Dodge replenishes your stamina so you almost never need to stop attacking! The Bow is mobile, strong, and its Focus Strike looks rad, what more could you ask for? See all Bows in Monster Hunter Wilds. Remember, this is all just for reference, and we recommend sticking with your preferred weapon. For example, if you're skilled with the Light Bow Gun, knowing exactly where to aim with what ammo and dodging every monster attack, you're going to get better times than with the Great Sword if you keep whiffing your True Charged Slashes and can't time your Offset attacks consistently. Any weapon takes time to get good at! What weapon do you think is the best in Monster Hunter Wilds? Contribute to our Community Tier List at the top of this article. 21. When reaching the postgame stages of Monster Hunter Wilds, you'll encounter an issue that locks you out of Low-Rank content. Fortunately, there is a way to restore these items to the map, and we're here to show you how. How to get back Low Rank environments in MH Wilds You can change maps to Low-Rank level by participating in Alma's 1 to 3 Blue Star Optional Quests. Begin any of these missions, and the environment will return to the early levels, allowing you to farm basic monster materials. However, this method doesn't permanently change the environment to Low Rank, as it will only be available while the quest is active. Screenshot by Destructoid First, you must decide which map to change to a lower level. For instance, those who wish to farm Low-Rank materials at Scarlet Forest can participate in the Forest Outlaw quests (located at the bottom of Optional Quests). Here's a list of all the 1 to 3 Blue Star quests and their compatible destinations: Buggin' in the Desert: Windward PlainsThe Desert is Demanding: Winward PlainsBuggin' in the Scarlet Forest: Scarlet ForestA Sharp Shot: Scarlet ForestBeware the Chatacabra: Windward PlainsFire Starter: Windward PlainsEvery Rose: Scarlet ForestTussle in Pink: Scarlet ForestSand Sea Surges: Windward PlainsForest Outlaw: Scarlet ForestMarch of the Kranodath: Oilwell BasinBuggin' in the Cliffs: Icechard CliffsVeiled by the Tide: Scarlet ForestOilwell Basin Blast: Oilwell BasinSultan of the Sand: Windward PlainsDance of Shadows: Iceshard CliffsFleet Flight: Iceshard CliffsScorching Simian: Oilwell BasinSultan of the Sand: Windward PlainsSpread Those Wings: WyveriaCreeping Flames: Oilwell BasinPallid Beast's Lament: WyveriaHis Eternal Reign: WyveriaRed Eyes in the Night: WyveriaConsumer of Void: Wyveria Although you'll receive a task to eliminate a particular monster, you can ignore it and explore the area for the materials. You don't even have to defeat the quest's target, considering that all materials will transfer to your inventory regardless. Just speak to Alma when ready, and she will conclude the mission. I used this method to farm Wingdrake Hides from Harpios, and it guaranteed a Low-Rank drop every time. But, if I were to do it in standard free-roam (aka High Rank), it would only give out Wingdrake Hides+. The Optional Quests work wonders for those looking for Kinsect upgrades, which often use early-game resources. Plenty of other recipes utilize lower-grade materials, so when in doubt, switch the map over to the quests. Additionally, you can use Lucky Vouchers from daily logins to double your rewards, increasing your Zenny and resource intakes for the quest. While it's not required, you can also eliminate the Low-Rank mission's target to gather even more goods. 22. Grand Escunites are rare nautilus-like creatures in Monster Hunter Wilds. Whether you’re filling out your field guide or completing a side quest, here’s where to find this elusive cephalopod. Grand Escunite location in Monster Hunter Wilds The best place to find a Grand Escunite in Monster Hunter Wilds is near the Underground Lake Pop-up Camp in Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest region. If you don’t have this campsite yet, it’s at the north end of Area 8 behind a waterfall. Screenshot by Destructoid Once you’re at the camp, rest until evening in the Season of Plenty. You can do this by entering your tent and tabbing over to the BBQ menu. Grand Escunites only spawn during the evening, nighttime, and morning. The Season of Plenty increases the number of fish in general, increasing your chances of seeing a rare Grand Escunite. After setting your season and time of day, step out of the tent, and there should be several fish in the pool directly in front of you. Look for a nautilus-like creature with a pale blue sheen. The Grand Escunites have a pale blue color, while regular Escunites are a duller tan color. If in doubt, just catch them all. There’s a second fishing spot toward the back of the cave, too. From the campsite, drop down into the shallow water in front of it and walk forward until you see a prompt to dive in. Dive and swim to the rocky islet ahead. There should be a few fish in the water below. If you don’t see a Grand Escunite right away, return to your tent and rest until evening, nighttime, or morning in the Season of Plenty. This resets the environment and refreshes the fish in the lake. Keep resting until you find what you want, though it shouldn’t take too many resets. Screenshot by Destructoid As a side note, this location is also a great place for farming zenny. Keep resting until any time of day in the Season of Plenty, and the pools should be full of Goldenfish and Platinumfish. Catch them with a rod or net, then sell their scales for profit. It costs some guild points to rest each time, but you should be able to make them back just by catching fish. Catching a Grand Escunite for the Razzle Dazzle side quest If you’re catching Grand Escunites for the Razzle Dazzle side quest, use the fishing rod and not the net. Only fish caught with the fishing rod count toward side quest completion. Use the Tentacle Jig to lure Grand Escunites to your hook. The Razzle Dazzle quest isn’t required for Escunites to spawn, but it’s the only objective in Monster Hunter Wilds that specifically asks for one. You can start this side quest by visiting Kanya toward the back of the Scarlet Forest Base Camp. She gives you bait and a series of fishing side quests, with Razzle Dazzle being the fourth and final quest. 23. Numerous video clips of what is purportedly gameplay footage of the next Battlefield game have appeared online today, with many of them swiftly being taken down by Electronic Arts. EA announced Battlefield Labs last month, a new feature where gamers could sign up to play-test the upcoming game in the popular FPS franchise similarly to an early access title on Steam or Xbox. It seems as though the first test under Labs has kicked off today, except a lot of lucky gamers chosen to give it a try apparently have ignored any non-disclosure agreement they signed to take part, because footage is leaking everywhere. 24. An Infinity Nikki leak has given players a detailed look at the matching makeup set for Moonlight Oath, one of the most expensive and controversial outfits in the game. While Infinity Nikki has established a reputation for being generous to its players, this may not have been the case at launch. Version 1.0 launched to critical and popular acclaim, catapulting the Nikki franchise to new heights, but Infinity Nikki players weren't quite ready to invest a large sum of money into their account.
