  1. Amid Tariff Chaos, Which Vehicles Are the Most American-Made? Amid Tariff Chaos, Which Vehicles Are the Most American-Made? Don’t look now, but fun discussions about which vehicles are the most American-made just got a little more serious. Unless you have purposefully been hiding (which some could understand), you’re aware of the back-and-forth whipsaw of tariffs, reciprocal tariffs, retaliatory tariffs. Sprinkled with a little tariff relief for autos and then a temporary truce with China for 90 days to further negotiate tariffs, it’s been an interesting spring. Let’s cover how much tariffs could cost some automakers, and which vehicles top the list of most American-made — based on parts content, the workforce, and assembly sites– and will thus face less impact. The situation can easily become confusing and is constantly being updated, but essentially there is a 25% tariff slapped on imported vehicles as well as a 25% tariff on imported automotive parts. Here’s where it gets a little complicated, and why Cars.com’s 2024 American-Made Index is so important: The Trump administration provided a little relief on auto parts tariffs by giving credits for what is produced in the U.S. As expected, these tariffs will have a significant impact on automakers’ bottom lines. General Motors said the tariffs would cost it between $4 billion to $5 billion in annual profit, and rival Ford Motor Company expects a $1.5 billion annual hit. Toyota said it anticipates a $1.2 billion profit decline in only two months, while Honda expects its operating profit to drop nearly 60% in the current fiscal year after being hit with tariffs. With that backdrop, here’s the list of most American-made vehicles, per Cars.com’s index. The list gauges criteria that include assembly location, parts content, engine and transmission point of origin, and U.S. manufacturing workforce. Tesla’s New Model Y. Image source: Tesla. Tesla Model Y Honda Passport Volkswagen ID.4 Tesla Model S Honda Odyssey Honda Ridgeline Toyota Camry Jeep Gladiator Tesla Model X Lexus TX Here’s another quick list, which we’ll analyze in a second, based on the share of U.S. light-duty (passenger) vehicle sales from domestic assembly for the 2024 model year. Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA): 100% Ford: 72.4% Stellantis: 66.8% Honda: 61.5% Toyota: 53.6% Subaru: 48.7% General Motors: 47.6% There are a few takeaways and perhaps questions to answer. You might wonder why Ford and GM didn’t have any vehicles in the top 10 most American-made, yet Toyota expects to take the worst profit hit. That’s because while Toyota has recently upped its U.S. production, it still has key imported vehicles and parts — it imports roughly 1.2 million vehicles to the U.S. annually. Story Continues Let’s be clear that there are really no winners here amid potential tariff chaos. But Tesla maintains a high percentage of domestic parts and local manufacturing and should be well positioned in this regard. Its Model Y has taken the first spot in the rankings three years in a row. That said, Tesla has a number of other things weighing on its stock, such as declining sales, questions surrounding its Robotaxi, and CEO Elon Musk’s political activities. Investing is all about thoroughly understanding the businesses you own, and information like this is highly valuable. It’s easier to understand why Ford is taking a smaller profit hit when we see it has more domestic assembly compared to Toyota and General Motors. Knowledge is key, and understanding the impacts and the underlying causes is important. It’s important because these massive global auto supply chains don’t stop and change on a dime; it takes years and causes disruptions. The silver lining is that the tariffs could all change again tomorrow, so stay tuned — it could be a wild ride. Ever feel like you missed the boat in buying the most successful stocks? 3. Changing your brain – inside the therapy room Changing your brain – inside the therapy room BBC / Twenty Twenty Productions Ltd Nicole went to therapy because she has a fear of driving Nicole enters the therapist’s room and clutches what she calls her hugging pillow. She admits to being nervous about sitting down with a stranger to discuss her mental health. She is 31, lives in London and works as chiropractic assistant. She suffers from anxiety when she drives. “There are so many things that so quickly go through my head,” she says. “How far away is it? What is the route? I somehow forget how to drive.” She suffers from panic attacks and her fear of driving means she is constantly cancelling plans. But, over the course of six sessions with psychotherapist Owen O’Kane, it becomes clear her problems are much deeper than just a fear of driving. Digging around in the mind Every week, one in six of the *** population experience mental health problems such as depression and anxiety and every year more than 1.2 million people seek help from the NHS talking therapies service, with many more paying for support privately. This form of therapy is most commonly used for anxiety and depression, but can also help with a range of other problems, including body image dysmorphia, obsessive compulsive disorder and post traumatic stress disorder. It does not work for everyone: research suggests one-third of people do not benefit. The BBC has followed 12 people, featured in the series Change Your Mind, Change Your Life, who each received six support sessions from therapists. The therapists have used a combination of different talking therapy approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy which focuses on changing the way we think and behave, alongside other techniques to improve relationships and process trauma. What it reveals is striking: How understanding and learning to manage the mind has the power to transform lives. BBC / Twenty Twenty Productions Ltd Owen O’Kane says being a therapist is a bit like being a detective “You’re not stuck with the brain you’ve got,” says Owen O’Kane, who has worked in the field for 25 years. He describes his job as like detective work: “People come with what seems to be a reasonable story, but the interesting thing is that very often the story and emotions don’t match. I guess what we are doing is digging around a little bit.” ‘I completely hated myself’ Over their sessions, Owen digs deeper into Nicole’s anxiety. At one point she weeps. She admits in the past she has “completely hated” herself. She worries about what people think of her and is socially anxious: “I don’t feel good enough to be there. I might say something wrong. I need people to like me.” Owen questions why she feels like this: “As human beings we like the nice emotions. We like feeling happy, joy, being in love.” but he says some people try to avoid or suppress emotions like fear, dread and sadness, and that can cause anxiety. Instead, he says it is healthier to accept them and accept them as safe. When people get to that point, he says, they start to feel empowered: “They realise they’re not going to be overwhelmed.” Speaking outside the therapy room, Nicole says: “I’m shocked. He got my number straight away. I would see vulnerability as a negative thing, but it’s not.” Asked to describe herself she uses words such as kind, thoughtful, determined and enthusiastic: “I am not a bad person,” she tells Owen. She says she has learned a lot: “Most importantly I found I wasn’t being kind to myself. That was really eye-opening.” Owen says this is typical of many people he treats: “When people get to these crossroads, when they wake up and realise what they are doing, that’s a gold dust moment for me.” ‘I had stroke in my early 30s’ James likewise learned to think about himself differently thanks to therapy. A 39-year-old father-of-one who works in finance, he struggles with anxiety and, in particular, worries about making mistakes at work. That fear is so debilitating he doesn’t make it to work sometimes. He has been supported by Prof Steve Peters, a psychiatrist who explains perfectionism is at the root of his problems: “If we think it’s the end of the world if we make a mistake, it paralyses you.” James was once an athlete, playing semi-professional football and competing in athletics before specialising in the bobsleigh. He was training for trials for the Great Britain team when he had a stroke eight years ago: “With a flick of a switch, I lost everything,” he says. “It made me feel a lesser man.” Now he fears under-performing at work and losing his job. BBC / Twenty Twenty Productions Ltd James had a stroke in his early 30s Over the course of the sessions, Prof Peters explains the key is James’s belief system. First, he gives some seemingly simple advice: “Put your feet on the floor, stand up and walk,” he says. Focusing on the basic task of moving, in James’s case moving so he can get to work, enables someone caught up in catastrophic thinking to block out the negative thoughts that stop them doing something. In later sessions, James and Prof Peters explore what could be behind his problems. James tells Prof Peters about his childhood and how his father would criticise him to push him to improve. Prof Peters explains how James believes that to please you cannot make errors and then the devastating stroke he suffered at a young age has triggered an absolute desire for things to never go wrong again. He tells James he needs to make “peace with himself” by defining himself not by performance but by values and behaviours. He too asks James to describe himself and James replies he is hard-working, honest, engaging, friendly and as someone who would put others first. Over the course of his sessions, James’s way of thinking changes: “I can look at myself in the mirror and feel my value and my worth,” he explains. ‘My mum died when I was 15’ Anjalee’s struggles are somewhat different. They relate to one traumatic event in childhood – her mother died suddenly when she was 15. Now a mother herself, with three children under five, she has struggled emotionally. She has sleepless nights, a tight chest and feels emotionally disconnected. It is worse than any physical pain, says the 34-year-old: “Becoming a mother has reopening everything I’ve tried to suppress.” Her first birth was particularly traumatic. She developed sepsis – the condition her mother died from: “I thought I was not going to survive,” she says. Her psychotherapist, Julia Samuel, explains to Anjalee she has not been able to process what has happened and, as a result, the trauma has stayed with her. When her mother died, Anjalee was in the middle of exams and had two younger siblings, leaving her without time to grieve. BBC / Twenty Twenty Productions Ltd Anjalee felt emotionally disconnected before she went to therapy Julia suggests eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing therapy, which uses movement to help people process and recover from distressing events. Julia asks Anjalee for her worst memory and she describes how her father tried to save her mother’s life by performing chest compressions in their home until the paramedics arrived. Her mother was rushed out with Anjalee hoping she would return. She never did. Anjalee says she has never talked about this within anyone. Julia asks Anjalee to cross her arms against her chest and start deep breathing and tapping, mimicking a butterfly’s wings flapping. She talks through the memory and how the images in her head are changing to more positive ones. Julia says this type of treatment is particularly effective when dealing with one single traumatic event. One memory, she says, can act as a block on everything. Afterwards, Anjalee speaks about how her symptoms have eased and the contentment she now feels. “My therapist helped me reconnect with the 15-year-old girl I’d silenced. I began to process the trauma that haunted me. I now understand grief as the other side of love.” During May, the BBC is sharing stories and tips on how to support your mental health and wellbeing. 4. Free public transport for kids under budget sweetener Free public transport for kids under budget sweetener Children will be able to travel for free on public transport from next year, as part of a pre-budget cost-of-living sweetener. Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan hoped the move would ease financial pressure on families, revealing it could save them up to $755, the equivalent cost of a student public transport pass. The policy will be funded in the 2025/26 Victorian budget, set to be unveiled on Tuesday. Children will need to apply for a new youth myki card, which will cover travel on the state’s trams, trains, buses and coach services. The changes are set to take effect from January 1 next year. “We’re making it easier for Victorian families with free public transport for under 18s, anywhere in Victoria. Every child, every day, everywhere,” Ms Allan said. “It’s just one way we’re supporting Victorians with the cost of living. Because we’re focused on what matters most.” On Saturday, the government announced seniors would be eligible for free travel across the entire ****** transport network on weekends from next year. The move was an expansion of the current policy, which covered travel within two neighbouring zones, allowing for short trips such as from Morwell to Traralgon. Ms Allan maintained the government would hand down a “responsible” budget on Tuesday, supporting frontline services including schools, hospitals and police. “Following the responsible decisions we know we need to make, (we will) have every dollar invested in those frontline services,” she said on Saturday. 5. Comey Surrenders to Secret Service Over ‘Assassination’ Post Comey Surrenders to Secret Service Over ‘Assassination’ Post Former FBI director James Comey was spotted leaving his home and ducking into a ****** SUV with the Secret Service before speeding off. CNN reported that Comey is cooperating with the Secret Service amid blowback over his “86 47” beachside post—which critics, including Trump himself, have alleged was a veiled assassination threat against the 47th president. The brief clip obtained by CNN shows Comey heading to Secret Service headquarters in Washington, D.C., for a chat on Friday. Comey’s post, which depicted seashells arranged to spell out “86 47,” sent MAGA into a meltdown. Critics have alleged that “86″ is a slang term for “assassinate,” and “47″ refers to the 47th president, Trump. Merriam Webster, however, says “86″ means “to throw out,” “to get rid of,” or “to refuse service to.” Former FBI Director James Comey posted an image of After taking the post down, Comey claimed in a follow-up Instagram post that he had stumbled upon the seashells, “which I assumed were a political message.” “I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence,” Comey wrote. However, President Donald Trump wasn’t buying it. In an interview with Fox News, Trump condemned the post as an “assassination message.” “He knew what that meant. A child knows what that meant,” Trump told anchor host Bret Baier. “If you’re FBI director and don’t know what that meant, that meant assassination, and it says it loud and clear.” Trump allies further attacked Comey. On Fox News, Rep. James Comer of Kentucky accused Comey of trying to “***** up some type of coup.” In further analysis of Comey’s message, Fox host Kayleigh McEnany cited Urban Dictionary as she explained, “86 is frequently used as a callsign for murdering or getting rid of someone.” However, Trump critic and actor Billy Baldwin had a different take. “I’ve been saying ‘Let’s 86 this nightclub.’ since I was 12,” he wrote in a Friday tweet. “It means… get outta here, leave or get rid of something. Not kill anybody.” He added, “I agree with Comey… 86 Trump stat.” Source link #Comey #Surrenders #Secret #Service #Assassination #Post Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content]

Beata Zawrzel | Nurphoto | Getty Images The White House and congressional officials have been scrutinizing Apple’s plan to strike a deal with Alibaba to make the ******** company’s AI available on iPhones in China, The New York Times reported on Saturday. U.S. authorities were concerned that the deal would help a ******** company to improve its artificial intelligence capacities, broaden the reach of ******** chatbots with censorship limits and deepen Apple’s exposure to Beijing laws over censorship and data sharing, the paper said, citing three people familiar with the matter. Apple and Alibaba did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment. In February, Alibaba confirmed its partnership with Apple to support iPhones’ AI services offering in China. For Alibaba, the partnership is a major win in China’s competitive AI market that is home to DeepSeek, which made headlines this year with models developed at a fraction of the cost of Western rivals. 9. Bill O’Reilly Chuckles at Newsom-for-President Rumors: ‘J.D. Vance Has Got to Be the Happiest Guy in the World’ Bill O’Reilly Chuckles at Newsom-for-President Rumors: ‘J.D. Vance Has Got to Be the Happiest Guy in the World’ With what the Associated Press calls “the earliest phase of the 2028 presidential election season already underway,” one name being floated for the Democrats is California Gov. Gavin Newsom – and Bill O’Reilly says that should make Republicans feel pretty comfortable in these early days. Newsom hasn’t declared either way, but media outlets from the AP to Politico to NBC News were reading the tea leaves last week as the second-term governor is rumored to be kicking the tires and working on a “rebrand” as a more centrist candidate than previously advertised. As he tends to do, O’Reilly just said it outright: “Gavin Newsom is running for president,” the “No Spin News” host said. “I told you this earlier this week, and he sees an opportunity because there’s no competition on the Democratic side for him at this point. Newsom — talk about a hypocrite. This is hypocrite number one.” O’Reilly pointed to Newsom’s recent pivots on homelessness and a proposed cap on state public health spending for undocumented immigrants as evidence. “Well, what took you so long?,” O’Reilly said. “You’ve been governor for six years. [Homelessness] has cost the state billions of dollars and has destroyed San Francisco and other cities. And all of a sudden, you’re enlightened? You want the homeless camps dismantled?” He also rolled a clip of Newsom recently talking about his plan to address the state’s annual $12 billion spending deficit. “So here are the solutions,” Newsom said. “$5 billion on a freeze on our Medi-Cal expansion. We’re not cutting or rolling back those that are enrolled in our Medi-Cal system – we’re just capping it, particularly for those with documentation.” O’Reilly called spin on that: “Yeah, a cap. What a weasel this guy is. So, why didn’t you do it five years ago? Why didn’t you do it? It is so ridiculous.” And finally, O’Reilly had a good chuckle at Newsom’s blame for the state’s financial woes on the Trump administration. “California is under assault,” Newsom said in another clip. “The United States of America, in many respects, is under assault because we have a president that’s been reckless in terms of assaulting those growth engines, has created a climate of deep uncertainty, and certainly has California in his sights.” The former Fox News host found that truly funny: “So, it’s Trump’s fault. It’s Trump’s fault that California has a $12 billion-a-year deficit. Democrats, is this what you want? This is what you’re going to put up?” O’Reilly concluded that it’s only good news for whomever Republicans intend to run in 2028 – especially if it’s the current vice president. “J.D. Vance has got to be the happiest guy in the world,” O’Reilly said, shaking his head. “He’s got to be the happiest guy in the world. Yeah, bring it on. Unbelievable.” Watch the entire segment in the video above. The post Bill O’Reilly Chuckles at Newsom-for-President Rumors: ‘J.D. 12. Helldivers 2 Fans Are Regretting Goading Arrowhead Into Giving Us Tougher Enemies Helldivers 2 Fans Are Regretting Goading Arrowhead Into Giving Us Tougher Enemies A few weeks ago, Helldivers 2 players complained that the game had become too easy. As always, Arrowhead Game Studios decided to turn up the difficulty, and now it is getting difficult for players to keep up. Every faction in the game constantly evolves, and this is just the beginning. In the past, Arrowhead pointed out that it wanted to offer different experiences within different factions, so the enemies would constantly evolve. Times have changed, and the game now has stronger weapons, so naturally, enemies have become stronger, too. Yes, adding new difficulty levels would increase the challenge, but that could quickly become repetitive and boring, so it is important to have new enemies and maps. Helldivers 2 has now become a lot more challenging A new Illuminate fleet is here, and it is laser-focused on taking over Super Earth. A viral post on the r/Helldivers subreddit has pointed out that the priorities of the factions have changed. The post highlights how the enemy factions in Helldivers (2015) were all about protecting themselves; however, in the second game, they are trying to destroy Super Earth. Everyone who has been complaining that the game has become too easy is now regretting it, as the game has become a lot more challenging. All factions are quickly closing in, and it is getting difficult for players to hold them. There are speculations that a crossover battle can take place on Mars as all three factions will soon enter the same sector. When Servants of Freedom Premium Warbond was released in February, it added a new weapon to the game called GP-31 Ultimatum. There was a lot of criticism as players believed that the gun was too overpowered for the game, but everyone should’ve taken that as a hint, which implied that the game is about to become a lot more difficult. The enemies in Helldivers 2 will continue to evolve Arrowhead plans to create more branches within enemy factions (Image via Arrowhead Game Studios) Over the past few months, we’ve seen some new enemies on the battlefield. It all started with the Jet Brigade, which was a strong variation of some regular Automaton enemies. Next, players came across the Predator Strain, a new type of Terminid units that were much smarter and faster than regular Terminid units. Now, we have the new Illuminate Fleet. All this is a part of Arrowhead’s plan, as Mikael Eriksson, the game director of Helldivers 2, has explained in the past that the studio is trying to expand the enemy factions. Players should expect to see some more mutations or variations within the enemy faction, which is necessary to provide players with a fresh experience. At the moment, Super Earth’s brave soldiers are under a lot of stress, as there is no way to stop the Illuminate from reaching Super Earth. Everyone is eager to know what happens once these aliens reach the planet, but all they can do right now is wait and fight the Illuminate enemies. The win was Austria’s third in the competition, following Conchita’s success in 2014 and Udo Juergens’ victory in 1966. JJ beat 25 other competitors during the grand final in the Swiss city of Basel. Conservatives who spoke the paper say this will “open the floodgates” to tens of thousands of people. An image of Princess Eugene, who has given an interview about her scoliosis condition, illustrates the front. The Mail on Sunday reports Britain could be forced to pay “hundreds of millions” to the EU as part of the deal, set to be inked on Monday. Calling it a “surrender summit”, the deal will also permit EU trawlers to fish in British waters, the paper says. “Betray Britain at your peril” booms the headline of the Sunday Express. Reform *** leader Nigel Farage says the prime minister has been warned he will “face the wrath” of voters if he “surrenders” to the EU at the meeting. He is expected to back a scheme to allow young Europeans to live and work in the ***. Scott Mitchell tells the Sunday Mirror he still wakes up in “panic” after his wife and EastEnders star Dame Barbara Windsor died from Alzheimer’s in 2020. Sunday People splashes with a choir made up of victims of the Post Office scandal telling the paper they want to sing for the King, “in their quest for justice”. The government will deploy a “home guard” to protect against attacks to power plants and airports, the Sunday Times reads. Elsewhere a photo of Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze celebrating his team’s victory, and the story of three Iranian migrants charged with targeting ***-based journalists make the front page. And finally the Daily Star issues a dire warning, complete with seagulls clad in boxing gloves, that rising temperatures mean Britons can expect to be “divebombed” by the “beserk birds”. 18. Saint-Etienne relegated as PSG celebrate with fans Saint-Etienne relegated as PSG celebrate with fans Saint-Etienne, one of Ligue 1’s most storied clubs, has been relegated as Paris Saint-Germain celebrated their title with their fans on the final matchday. Despite support from 38,000 buoyant spectators at sold-out Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, Saint-Etienne lost to Toulouse 3-2 on Saturday and could not avoid the drop. Saint-Etienne, who dominated French soccer during the 1960s and ’70s, joined last-placed Montpellier as the demoted teams. Saint-Etienne return immediately to Ligue 2 Le Havre avoided their fate by winning at Strasboug 3-2 thanks to a penalty from Abdoulaye Touré late in added time. Touré, who completed a brace, converted the spot kick with a panenka, allowing his team to leapfrog Reims in the standings and remain in the top flight. Reims will face Metz in the promotion-relegation playoff. Second-division side Metz edged Dunkerque to secure a spot in the two-leg playoff against Ligue 1’s 16th-placed team. In Paris, coach Luis Enrique fielded a full-strength squad as PSG celebrated their title at home against Auxerre. PSG were caught cold by a first-half goal from Lassine Sinayoko and turned things around after the interval with efforts from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who scored twice, and captain Marquinhos, to win 3-1. PSG won a record-extending 13th Ligue 1 title with six games to spare and are hoping for their first ever treble. In addition to the Champions League final against Inter Milan on May 31, Enrique’s team play Reims in the French Cup final on May 24. With 84 points, PSG set a new record for the most points in a 34-match season. They shared the previous record with Saint-Etienne, who achieved 81 points in the 1969-70 season. Nice won the fourth and final spot in Champions League, a ticket to the third preliminary round, by thrashing Brest 6-0. Lille ended fifth and qualified for the Europa League group stage. In his final match with Lyon, Alexandre Lacazette scored his 200th and 201st goals for his boyhood club. Lacazette returned to Lyon in June 2022 and will leave as his contract expires. He left the seven-time French champion in 2017 for a then-club record 60 million euros after joining at age 12. Lacazette scored from the penalty spot and a tap-in as Lyon beat Angers 2-0 to finish sixth. Lacazette’s brilliance was a rare satisfaction for Lyon fans as the club again missed out on Champions League football. The club’s future remains unclear after it was hit in November by a decision to provisionally relegate the side to Ligue 2 following an audit of the club’s finances by the French league’s soccer watchdog. The DNCG decided Lyon’s financial situation must improve by the end of the season. Mason Greenwood scored twice and delivered an assist as Marseille sealed a second-place finish by beating Rennes 4-2. Marseille finished four points ahead third-placed Monaco, who lost to Lens 4-0. Former Manchester United forward Greenwood’s 20th and 21st goals helped him finish joint top-scorer in the league with PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé. Under the league rules, Dembelé will take the trophy because he scored less penalties than Greenwood. Clement made only his second career start at first base to give Vladimir Guerrero a day as the Blue Jays designated hitter. So Clement employed the toughness mentality he gained as a hockey player at Brighton High School in Rochester, N.Y., to stay in the game. “You got to grind through it,” Clement said. “Vlad needed to get off his feet a little bit. So I’m staying in the ball game. They’d have to rip me off the field there, take a little hockey player’s mentality and just fight through it. You know, fight for your boys.” Story continues below advertisement Clement also led off the eighth inning with a walk and then scored the tying run on Alejandro Kirk’s pinch-hit single down the right-field line. 23. Iran’s Supreme Leader says Trump is lying when he speaks of peace Iran’s Supreme Leader says Trump is lying when he speaks of peace (Reuters) -Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused Donald Trump on Saturday of lying when the U.S. president said during his Gulf tour this week that he wanted peace in the region. On the contrary, said Khamenei, the United States uses its power to give “10-ton bombs to the Zionist (Israeli) regime to drop on the heads of Gaza’s children”. Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One after departing the United Arab Emirates on Friday that Iran had to move quickly on a U.S. proposal for its nuclear programme or “something bad’s going to happen”. His remarks, said Khamenei, “aren’t even worth responding to.” They are an “embarrassment to the speaker and the American people,” Khamenei added. “Undoubtedly, the source of corruption, war, and conflict in this region is the Zionist regime — a dangerous, deadly cancerous tumour that must be uprooted; it will be uprooted,” he said at an event at a religious centre in Tehran, according to state media. Earlier on Saturday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Trump speaks about peace while simultaneously making threats. “Which should we believe?” Pezeshkian said at a naval event in Tehran. “On the one hand, he speaks of peace and on the other, he threatens with the most advanced tools of mass killing.” Tehran would continue Iran-U.S. nuclear talks but is not afraid of threats. “We are not seeking war,” Pezeshkian said. While Trump said on Friday that Iran had a U.S. proposal about its nuclear programme, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in a post on X said Tehran had not received any such proposal. “There is no scenario in which Iran abandons its hard-earned right to (uranium) enrichment for peaceful purposes…” he said. Araqchi warned on Saturday that Washington’s constant change of stance prolongs nuclear talks, state TV reported. “It is absolutely unacceptable that America repeatedly defines a new framework for negotiations that prolongs the process,” the broadcast quoted Araqchi as saying. Pezeshkian said Iran would not “back down from our legitimate rights”. “Because we refuse to bow to bullying, they say we are source of instability in the region,” he said. 24. Warzone Is Leaving iOS, Google Play Store Warzone Is Leaving iOS, Google Play Store Call of Duty fans were devastated following the news of the shutdown of Call of Duty: Warzone for mobile devices. Activision’s official X account made the announcement today. The free-to-play first-person shooter title will be removed from both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store on May 18, 2025, following which the game will no longer be available to download from either mobile platform. This is really unfortunate and likely has to do with revenue—more on which will be detailed below. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is being shut down Warzone Mobile is shutting down | Image Credits: Activision Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is being killed off by Activision. The game was released on March 21, 2024, just over a year ago. This was Activision’s newest Call of Duty title for mobile devices, preceded by Call of Duty Mobile. We deeply appreciate your dedication and passion for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Going forward, we will be streamlining the scope of the game. This decision was made after careful consideration of various factors and while we’re proud of the accomplishment in bringing Call of… pic.twitter.com/2FU3itRRZ9 — Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile (@WarzoneMobile) May 16, 2025 Details were shared via the official Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile X account, which mentions a closure date of May 19, 2025, after which the game will no longer be downloadable on Android and iOS devices. According to the post, Warzone Mobile failed to meet the team’s expectations, as it was not up to par with PC versions or other mobile releases. It unfortunately has not met our expectations with mobile-first players like it has with PC and console audiences. The game will not be receiving any seasonal updates or gameplay adjustments moving forward. Furthermore, all forms of microtransactions have been suspended, and players cannot purchase any in-game items using real money. Players who have the game installed before Monday, May 19, 2025 will still have access to the game with continued cross-progression of shared inventories using existing content, and servers with matchmaking for online play Interestingly, Activision has also clarified that players who already have the game installed can still continue with its cross-progression for some time, with unspent COD Points being redeemable against existing content. Warzone Mobile wasn’t very good | Image Credits: Activision Since its launch, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has not drawn many players, always managing to trail far behind the shadow of Call of Duty Mobile. As such, it should come as no surprise that Activision decided to axe the game. Warzone Mobile was simply not drawing enough players (and, in turn, revenue) and was likely deemed unprofitable for Activision. The team has likely been dissolved and moved on to other projects. The mobile gaming landscape is very competitive Mobile gaming is a brutal playground, where competition is fierce. With so many options available, making a dent in the already established market is no easy task, and many fail along the way. Warzone Mobile failed to make an impact and offer anything new to the already super-competitive market. To make matters worse, it was already overshadowed by an existing Call of Duty title for mobile, which lessened its popularity even more. This is the sad reality of mobile gaming – where gaining an early foothold always helps, as does delivering a product that is unique and/or fills a certain niche in order to remain successful.
