Mix 94.5 breakfast announcer Kymba Cahill walks away from social media after online bullying
Mix 94.5 breakfast announcer Kymba Cahill walks away from social media after online bullying
A breakfast radio announcer has switched off social media after strangers continuously bullied the presenter online.
Broadcaster Kymba Cahill took several weeks off from Mix 94.5’s breakfast show with Pete Curulli and Ben Cousins after incessant abuse left her feeling like she could not do her job effectively.
“People were getting ******, and they were personal attacks, it wasn’t about you’ve said this and I’m not okay with it,” she said.
“It was them really going for the jugular about the type of person I am, suggesting I was a fraud or wasn’t supportive or the person I’d made myself out to be.”
Ms Cahill said it deeply affected her because she had shared so much of her life on air.
“For people to suggest that it was some sort of an act, or some sort of lie was just so hurtful,” she said.

Ms Cahill felt compelled to respond to a few people, but it weighed so heavily on her mind she was barley sleeping, tired and exhausted from constantly thinking about it.
Her mind whirled with thoughts about what she had said and questioned if she had done something wrong.
“If you broadcast when you have those thoughts in your head, you almost can’t get a sentence out,” she said.
‘You’re second guessing what you’re going to say, or how someone is going to react, or what word you should use.
“It limits you so drastically you can’t manage, so I took time off to make sure that I came back as the best version of myself.”
Felling like she had to justify herself to strangers was taking up so much of her mental space, Ms Cahill said she wasn’t present in other parts of her life.
“It becomes foreboding, it feels like it’s chasing you around and I don’t think that’s healthy,” she said.
“I would replay conversations in my mind or think, ‘I wish I had come up with this.
“Even when it’s done our brains sometimes keep this loop and I did not want this feeling in my life.”
Ms Cahill decided to turn off social media to remove the external noise she could not control, and while it has made things easier in her life she does miss the positive interactions she had with people on social media.

“I have missed the occasional friend who said, ‘you missed my daughter’s first birthday,’ because I wasn’t online to get the invite,” she said.
“But ultimately, shutting everything else down has been really positive.
“It’s a lot easier, it is better for your mental health, and it’s better for your wellbeing.
“While social media might have started out with the best of intentions it has shifted to a place where we all need to be confident and courageous to say, I’m stepping away from this and whatever that looks like is fine.
“Sometimes you need to call friends or you need to stay in touch with people in a different way, and that’s okay.”
Beyond Blue chief executive officer said Georgie Harman said social media could be a double-edged sword when it came to mental health.

“On the one hand it offers connection and sense of community, but on the other it can expose people to harm and abuse, and contribute to low self-worth, body image concerns, anxiety, and depression,” she said.
“Social media use is not a ****** and white issue. The relationship we each have with it is complicated.
“It’s how we use it and what we’re exposed to that matters. But what is ****** and white is that the social media companies have to be held to account for the unsafe design elements of their products.”
Ms Harman said social media companies needed to step up to ensure moderation protocols reduced people’s exposure to harmful messages and content.
“The evidence around the benefits of a digital detox is mixed but we know for many people, taking a break, even for a short time, can be calming,” she said.
“It gives your mind space to rest, reduces the pressure to constantly engage, consume or compare, and helps you reconnect with other parts of your life that are also important to you.
“The thing is that the tech companies don’t make it easy for us to do this. They really need to step up and focus making the social media platforms safer, better for us and less likely to cause harm.”
Ms Harman said online bullying could be relentless and deeply harmful, especially when it came from anonymous sources.
“Receiving these kinds of harmful messages makes people feel unsafe, isolated and disconnected. It’s dehumanising in many cases, it affects self-worth, it’s distressing and over time it can really erode someone’s mental health,” she said.
“We all need to be kinder and more respectful of each other online.”
Camera IconAustralian Psychological Society president Sara Quinn said social media could be a breeding ground for cyber-bullying that can have severe consequences on mental health, especially for younger users. Supplied Credit: Supplied
*********** Psychological Society president Sara Quinn said social media could be a breeding ground for cyber-bullying that can have severe consequences on mental health, especially for younger users.
Dr Quinn said cyber-bullying on social media was complex because it brought those problems into the bedroom, and meant victims were unable to escape from the bullying.
“It’s a real challenge because often social media keeps people connected, but and at the same time we know it can be quite harmful for the individual,” she said.
Dr Quinn said people should consider turning off their notifications and deliberately choose what content to view and what content not to view for relief from too much exposure.
“It can be really difficult, because it gives us so much joy to be attached to those and to have contact, and that fear of missing out is a real thing,” she said.
“Strengthening offline relationships and focusing on face-to-face interactions can actually provide a nice reality check against those little curated versions online.
“We know that that actually reduces some of that feeling of inadequacy and promotes that sense of belonging, acceptance that people are really fighting for.
“You might have to make those bids for connection outside of that, rather than on social media.
“It also mean you have the opportunity to have really good, meaningful conversations because you haven’t seen what’s happened in their life on social media, you can actually hear it from them personally.”

Teen Detained By ICE After Mistaken Arrest Would Be ‘Thriving In Mexico’
Teen Detained By ICE After Mistaken Arrest Would Be ‘Thriving In Mexico’
A Georgia teen who was arrested earlier this month after being mistakenly pulled over at a traffic stop was released from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement custody on Thursday.
In an interview the same day, Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene suggested that the young woman, who is undocumented, should be deported.
“My life won’t be the same,” Ximena Arias-Cristobal, 19, told NBC affiliate WXIA-TV, reflecting on her time at Stewart Detention Center. “I think it’s changed me as a person, like I said, I guess be more humble, understand people more and just be able to see the people around you.”
She was arrested earlier this month on charges of driving without a valid driver’s license and for making a right turn on red, but those charges were dropped after the Dalton Police said dash cam footage showed they pulled her over by mistake.

However, the police’s mistake landed her in ICE custody.
Arias-Cristobal came to the United States from Mexico when she was 4 and was a student at Dalton State College at the time of her arrest.
Her mother told WXIA that her daughter was not eligible for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, an Obama-era program that provides certain undocumented immigrants who arrived in the U.S. as children with work authorizations and temporary protection from deportation.
Being detained at Stewart is “something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy,” the 19-year-old told the news outlet.
“It’s the conditions and the unknown, it’s not knowing what’s going to happen to me, knowing that I could be sent back to a country that I don’t know, having to be torn apart from my family,” she told the outlet. “It’s also the conditions — you don’t get much privacy, you get screamed at for every little thing, the food is horrible, they don’t pay attention to you, you get sick and they don’t care.”
Dustin Baxter, Arias-Cristobal’s attorney, told the outlet it’s possible that if they could show his client’s arrest was the result of profiling, she could qualify for a “U Visa,” meant for victims of certain crimes.
Meanwhile, Rep. Greene suggested in an interview with Tennessee-based news outlet WCRB that Arias-Cristobal should be deported.
“The law is the law, and we don’t get to pick and choose who gets to break the law and who gets to follow the law,” the MAGA Republican said. ”It’s important for us to uphold the law, and that’s the most important thing that we can do and our government can do.”
Greene said Arias-Cristobal grew up in a “great area” and received a “great education” in the U.S. and would be “thriving in Mexico” if sent back.
“In Mexico today, there’s over 1.6 million United States of America (sic) citizens living and thriving in Mexico, and I’m sure she and her family will be able to do the same,” she stated.
The lawmaker blamed Arias-Cristobal’s parents for her situation, claiming they never pursued “a path to citizenship when they illegally brought her into the country when she was a young child.”
Stewart’s father, who was also detained at Stewart after being arrested for a traffic violation, is in the process of applying for a “cancellation of removal,” Baxter told WXIA. Because her father is a “person of good moral character,” has been in the U.S. for more than 10 years, and has children who are citizens, he would be “granted permanent resident status” if he wins his case, the attorney said.
If her father becomes a permanent resident, Arias-Cristobal would then have a “qualifying relative” that could allow her to become a permanent resident as well, he added.

Champions Cup: Brave Northampton beaten by Bordeaux’s power
Champions Cup: Brave Northampton beaten by Bordeaux’s power
Pollock didn’t play badly. None of the Northampton players did.
The 20-year-old made more metres than any other forward on the pitch. He turned over one ball in the shadow of his own posts and was a key part of a heroic rearguard.
For much of the second half, Northampton defended their line like they had been backed up to a cliff edge.
At the other end, Pollock twice streaked away for scores that had the Principality’s rafters rattling and threatened to turn Saints’ resistance into all-out rebellion.
On both occasions though, the overworked television match official stepped in to rule them out.
The scores didn’t stand. And by the final whistle, on the scene of their sucker-punch final defeat by Leinster in 2011, neither did Saints.
Their route to victory was always a thin and perilous one.
Captain Fraser Dingwall had explained earlier in the week that his side needed to keep the tempo high and ball moving to tire out Bordeaux’s heavy brigade up front.
He admitted though that doing so flirted with another danger.
Because Bordeaux’s backline, marshalled by the quicksilver Mathieu Jalibert and laced with the pace of Penaud and Louis Bielle-Biarrey, is the most dangerous in the competition off turnover ball and in broken field.
No opposition had managed to strike that balance successfully against them so far.
Bordeaux scored an average of 42 points a game in the knockout stages. They averaged more than eight tries a game in the pools. Seven games, seven resounding wins.
No-one had even got close.
Saints though did get close.
After a helter-skelter first half, they were level at 20-20. A combination of a fast start, a couple of glitchy kicks from Jalibert, some doughty defence and a readiness to go toe-to-toe with Bordeaux for ambition bought them parity.
When Pollock bolted through for a score that never was early in the second half, it felt like the underdogs might have their day.
Bordeaux though had come prepared.
Northampton’s attempt to drain their batteries was foiled by a Bordeaux bench buzzing with power and six forwards. As they unloaded their replacements, Northampton were squeezed back into their own half.
Saints’ plan was also undermined by a lack of luck and discipline.
Injuries to James Ramm and George Furbank in the first five minutes robbed them of two of their back three and some fluidity.
Early in the second half a yellow card for replacement Ed Prowse, for going high on Yoram Moefana, put them on the back foot.
Marius Jonker’s South African tones regularly interrupted play as well as the TMO helped out with hairline calls, giving Bordeaux time to catch their breath.

Aussies fire but playoffs-bound Punjab cop IPL loss
Aussies fire but playoffs-bound Punjab cop IPL loss
Ricky Ponting’s Punjab Kings have failed to clinch a top-two spot in the Indian Premier League after being beaten by Delhi Capitals by six wickets despite strong *********** batting efforts.
Playoffs-bound Punjab made a strong 8-206 batting first on Saturday, with Aussie No.3 Josh Inglis smashing 32 off 12 ****** and countryman Marcus Stoinis belting an unbeaten 44 off 16 ******.
But Sameer Rizvi with a blistering unbeaten 58 off 25 ****** – his maiden IPL half-century – led Delhi’s winning chase to 4-208.
The game was replayed in Jaipur after it was called off in Dharamsala on May 8 when the floodlights went off during air raid alerts in the second innings. The IPL was later suspended due to the military strikes between India and Pakistan.
Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are the others to have filled out the playoff spots but their final positions are still to be determined. The top two have home advantage.
Rizvi and Karun Nair, who made 44, revived Delhi’s chase after it lost seasoned pros Lokesh Rahul (35) and captain Faf du Plessis (23) inside the first seven overs.
Nair took his time to settle before he smashed leg-spinner Praveen Dubey for four straight boundaries in the 11th over.
Nair added 62 runs with Rizvi until Nair’s leg stump was knocked back by spinner Harpreet Brar just before the death overs. Delhi still needed 52 off the final five overs.
Rizvi swept *********** Marcus Stoinis for a huge six on the leg side to raise the victory with three ****** to spare.
Punjab captain Shreyas Iyer made 53 and held his team’s innings together in the middle overs before No.7 Stoinis’ late flourish which included four sixes.
Delhi left-arm fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman bagged 3-33, but pacers Mukesh Kumar (1-49) and Mohit Sharma (0-47) conceded 25 and 22 runs respectively in their last overs to give Punjab a late surge.
Mustafizur dismissed Priyansh Arya in the second over but Inglis kickstarted Punjab by smashing his quickfire 32 before being stumped off Vipraj Nigam’s wide ball down the leg side.
Iyer scored freely despite wickets falling around the Punjab captain. Iyer reached his half-century off 33 ****** and was caught at fine leg off Kuldeep Yadav in a three-run 18th over.
However, Stoinis smacked 32 runs off the final two overs, hitting Sharma for 6-4-4-6. Brar smacked six off the first ball he faced and took Punjab past 200 for the seventh time this season.

Cartel leader with $1 million U.S. bounty on his head killed in Mexico
Cartel leader with $1 million U.S. bounty on his head killed in Mexico
A leader of a notorious ******** drug cartel who had a bounty on his head in the United States has died in a clash with army troops, authorities said Saturday.
Sinaloa state, where the powerful cartel of the same name is based, is enduring a war between two rival factions that has left some 1,200 people dead since September.
Jorge Humberto Figueroa — who went by the nickname “El Perris” — was shot and killed Friday in a raid carried out to arrest him, public safety secretary Omar Garcia Harfuch wrote on social media.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) had been offering up to $1 million for information leading to his arrest on suspicion of fentanyl trafficking and money laundering.
Figueroa was one of the masterminds of an infamous clash with the authorities in 2019 in the city of Culiacan, Harfuch said.
Jorge Humberto Figueroa / Credit: DEA
In that case, cartel members fought security forces who had arrested Ovidio Guzman, a son of Sinaloa cartel co-founder Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.
******** authorities controversially released Ovidio Guzman at the time, saying they wanted to avoid further bloodshed. But he ultimately was re-arrested in 2023 and extradited to the United States, where he remains in custody.
Earlier this month, Harfuch confirmed that 17 family members of cartel leaders crossed into the U.S. recently as part of a deal between Ovidio Guzman and the Trump administration. El Chapo’s ex-wife, Griselda Lopez Perez, and her daughter were among the family members to enter the U.S., local media reported.
******** press reports said Figueroa belonged to a Sinaloa cartel faction run by the sons of the older Guzman, who is serving a life sentence in the United States.
This group has been fighting another faction led by heirs of cartel co-founder Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, who was lured to the United States in a sting operation in 2024 and arrested.
The newspaper Reforma said Figueroa was head of security for the faction led by Guzman’s sons — known as the Chapitos. According to a 2023 indictment by the U.S. Justice Department, the Chapitos and their cartel associates used corkscrews, electrocution and hot chiles to torture their rivals while some of their victims were “fed dead or alive to tigers.”

Scottish Cup final: ‘Aberdeen savour the most perfect game ever played
Scottish Cup final: ‘Aberdeen savour the most perfect game ever played
Rodgers said later that his team were too safe, lacked speed, slickness, precision and personality. What they also lacked was the wit of Reo Hatate and Jota.
They were not themselves, but even still they hit the Aberdeen woodwork twice and failed with a glorious one-on-one when Dimitar Mitov, a hero on an afternoon of heroes, saved from Daizen Maeda seven minutes from the end of moral time.
Celtic had 21 shots to Aberdeen’s five, 81.5% possession to Aberdeen’s 18.5%, 15 corners to Aberdeen’s four.
None of it meant anything, not when Thelin’s defence was in the mood to defend with their last breath. You lost count of the number of blocks they had, each one chipping away at Celtic’s karma.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this – and it rarely is. Celtic hadn’t lost to Aberdeen in 30 matches.
Having conceded an unlucky goal, the Dons then scored one of their own. Two own goals reflected the flawed, madcap nature of this final.
There was little shape, little rhythm, little accuracy. There was chaos, there were bodies colliding, players on the floor, coaches going bonkers.
In chunks, it was like an under-eights game. Everybody running about with abandon. And it was hard to take your eyes off it.
When it went to penalties, the odds were still stacked in Celtic’s favour. They don’t mind a penalty shoot-out at Hampden. They’ve won a couple in recent times. Even at that late stage, they were favourites to pull off the treble.
Then Mitov saved from Callum McGregor and everything changed. Celtic’s brilliant leader laid low. Their aura not the same anymore.
One by one the Aberdeen men held their nerve, not just scoring but rifling in their penalties with an authority. Kasper Schmeichel, on a grim day, went the wrong way for the first three of them.
Mitov was the man in the end. In recent months he’s been criticised for some of the weaknesses in his game, but he’s an immortal now, along with the rest of them.
Open top bus tour now. European football to come. Hope where before there was dread. The phoenix has risen from the flames. And the party will last a while.

Jewell shines brightly with career-best double ton
Jewell shines brightly with career-best double ton
Caleb Jewell had been berating himself for constantly missing out on a century for his English county Derbyshire – but when he finally got there, he was damned if he wouldn’t go big.
So it was that the Tasmanian left-hander was left celebrating the highest score of his career – 232 – on a record-breaking day for both himself and his team at Derby’s County Ground on Saturday.
Having got to 152 not out on Friday, Jewell ploughed on confidently, going past his career-best 227 which he compiled in the Sheffield Shield against Western Australia at Hobart last year.
He was eventually bowled, trying to smack a big one off Jack Leaning over mid-wicket, having amassed the highest score ever by a Derbyshire batter against Kent in 151 years of the fixture.
He’d batted in total for 361 ****** over nearly eight-and-a-half hours at the crease, having curbed some of his attacking flair in a more disciplined approach – a “grind”, as he liked to call it – and was left relieved as well as delighted.
“Yeah, it’s been a long time coming,” said Jewell, who had started his spell at the county with five straight fifties but had never been able to kick on until this huge effort took Derby to a record total against Kent, 5-587dec.
“Probably felt like it was something on my mind for a while, so it was nice to make the most of it once I got there,” he said.
“The 100 is something I’ve spoken to (coach) Mickey (Arthur) quite a bit about, it was sort of annoying me that I couldn’t quite get there.”
The double-hundred though has taken his championship tally to 693 runs, the third-highest by any batter this season, with Lancashire’s Marcus Harris still out on his own on 805.
At Northampton, Gloucestershire captain Cameron Bancroft looked on his way to a second hundred of the summer before he was disappointed to get out in soft fashion for 60, caught behind down the legside trying to flick Northamptonshire’s fellow *********** Harry Conway away.
Replying to Northamptonshire’s 469, led by Saif Zaib’s 159, Bancroft’s dismissal left Cameron Green (3no) having to lead another rescue act with Gloucester on 4-156.
Green’s fellow *********** allrounder Beau Webster looked encouragingly sharp with the World Test final looming as he took 2-19 off his 7.1 overs for Warwickshire against Worcestershire in a low-scoring affair at New Road.

Major Disruption Hits Cannes Festival—Organizers Scramble to Respond
Major Disruption Hits Cannes Festival—Organizers Scramble to Respond
An unexpected incident brought the Cannes Film Festival to a screeching halt on Saturday, May 24, according to the New York Times via French authorities.
The legendary festival, which is scheduled to hold its closing and awards ceremony Saturday evening, fell victim to a power outage in the Cannes area that was caused by “acts of sabotage,” including damage to a transmission tower and an incident of arson at a substation, according to the French police. The festival was temporarily halted
At the time, the festival issued a statement that noted that there were few disruptions caused by the outage, and their decision to quickly switch to festival generators allowed “all scheduled events and screenings, including the closing ceremony, to proceed as planned and under normal conditions.” That said, the statement also noted that screenings at one theater had been “temporarily suspended,” most likely the Agnes Varda theater where the New York Times notes that a screening of the Josh O’Connor and Paul Mescal film The History of Sound suffered a blackout but resumed 20 minutes later.
Because the festival is now back up and running with their own power supply, the closing ceremony is set to go ahead as scheduled.
Local French politician Laurent Hottiaux, who represents the Alps-Maritime area of which Cannes is part, claimed the outage was caused by “major damage to network installations” near the seaside city, including both the damage to the tower and the alleged arson incident. “All resources are being mobilized to identify, track down, arrest and bring to justice the perpetrators of these acts,” Hottiaux said in a statement.
Life was disrupted in Cannes during the incident no matter if you were a local or a tourist. Traffic lights were down and local police had to direct traffic, shops and boutiques were closed, and, according to the New York Times, local firefighters were called to respond to many elevator breakdowns.
French authorities told the New York Times that local prosecutors had opened an investigation into the suspected sabotage, however they did not share if they had any reason to believe the festival was specifically being targeted with this incident.

Sam Fender’s set contained crowd favourites including Hypersonic Missiles
Headliner Sam Fender closed out the Saturday at Radio 1’s Big Weekend with confetti and fireworks.
His performance, which had some technical issues, contained crowd favourite hits Seventeen Going Under and Hypersonic Missiles which had fans chanting into the night.
Part way through his set the singer, from North Shields, told the crowd – which had many donned in Newcastle United kits, a nod to Fender’s favourite team – it was “the most nervous I’ve ever been and I have no idea why”.
Fender followed Tom Odell, Sugababes, Myles Smith, Blossoms and Wolf Alice who also performed on the Main Stage at Sefton Park.
In the audience, fans celebrated the “unreal good vibes” of Fender’s set as they danced and sang along to his catalogue of hits.
One fan, Charlene, told Newsbeat: “It’s amazing, I’ve always wanted to see him, I’m so glad he’s in Liverpool – our city.”
For many, the highlight of the day came at the very start with a surprise set from Ed Sheeran.
He was on the New Music Stage, and said he chose that because he’d “never played it before” and felt the tent had “the best energy”.
There was disappointment for some fans with access having to be temporarily paused after reaching maximum capacity.

Ed Sheeran was a surprise for fans at Big Weekend
Other performances on that stage included Good Neighbours, Artemas, Jordan Adetunji and Aitch, who was on back-to-back with good friend AJ Tracey.
Aitch, a Manchester United fan and AJ Tracey, a Tottenham Hotspur fan, told Newsbeat before their set there was “no bad blood” between them after Spurs beat United in the Europa League final.
“It’s hard to make friends in music, so when you do, it’s a good feeling,” AJ Tracey said.

The crowd was bouncing during the Sugababes set
Girl group Sugababes also produced an energetic set earlier in the day and praised the crowd as “so amazing”.
And on the hit Push the Button, which was released 20 years ago, they told Newsbeat if it was released present day, “it would still be very current”.
More than 100,000 fans are expected to attend Big Weekend in Liverpool, which will have about 100 acts performing across four stages.
The last day of the festival will see Mumford & Sons headline on Sunday evening.
Tate McRae, Lola Young, Jorja Smith, Wet Leg and HAIM will also be hitting the Main Stage.

While Xbox and Sony Suffer Legendary Layoffs, Warhammer 40,000 Employees Are Getting Over $18K Each as Bonus
While Xbox and Sony Suffer Legendary Layoffs, Warhammer 40,000 Employees Are Getting Over $18K Each as Bonus
We’ve seen a massive portion of the tech industry experiencing workforce reductions in the years following the COVID pandemic. One of the biggest companies following the layoff trend was Microsoft, which cut thousands of jobs on multiple occasions for its gaming division. Even Sony followed the trend by downsizing its workforce across multiple PlayStation studios.
However, there’s one gaming company out there that isn’t bending its knees to this trend: Games Workshop. It’s the mind responsible for giving us the legendary Warhammer 40k franchise. Not only is it not indulging in layoffs, but it’s also giving its employees massive bonuses. It’s time to learn about Microsoft and Sony.
Warhammer 40k developer rewards staff with bonuses
Games Workshop has announced impressive growth figures for the 52 weeks ending June 1, 2025. The company’s revenue has reached €560 million from the previous year’s figure of €497.7 million. That’s not all; even the licensing revenue for the company has surpassed €50 million. Core profits have grown to €210 million, with licensing profits reaching €45 million.
When all these figures are combined, Games Workshop has achieved a pre-tax profit of €255 million, an increase from €203 million. Normally, gaming companies wouldn’t share an inch of their profits with their employees and instead give them the layoff treatment to maximize their revenue. We’ve seen even profitable developers get hit with layoffs.
However, that’s not the case with Games Workshop. The company recognizes the efforts of its employees and how their contribution has helped it achieve such massive numbers. It’s disturbing €20 million of profits to all of its employees. It’s estimated that the Warhammer developer has 1,500 employees, and if you divide the €20 million figure among all of them, you’re looking at each one of them getting $13,333. (roughly $18,000)
Henry Cavill’s beloved franchise is finally getting the attention it deserves. (Image via Amazon)
It’s not surprising that Games Workshop is thriving in an industry that is getting hit by layoffs left and right. Its Warhammer IP has gained a lot of attention in recent years thanks to the success of Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 and Amazon’s Warhammer 40k: Secret Level episode. If that wasn’t enough, Henry Cavill is also working alongside Amazon to produce a series based on Warhammer 40k.
The future of the Warhammer 40k franchise
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 3 is coming. (Image via Focus Entertainment)
Well, if you’re someone who’s a big-time fan of Warhammer 40k and its gaming arm, there’s some good news. Saber Interactive has revealed that Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 3 is coming soon. That’s right, last year’s smash-hit Space Marine 2 is getting a successor.
In March 2025, publisher Focus Entertainment released a 15-second teaser on YouTube revealing that Space Marine 3‘s development is in full swing. The short video gave us a look at an image of Titus on the left and the title on the right.
Unfortunately, the developer hasn’t revealed anything else about the title. It’s still unknown what we can expect to see in terms of content, gameplay, or even a release window.
Don’t worry; Space Marine 2 isn’t getting abandoned. Saber Interactive has released a full-fledged roadmap for 2025, and it’s packed with a bunch of exciting additions for Space Marine 2.
With that said, are you excited for Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 3? Let us know in the comments below.

Fashion spinning new yarns from a sheep’s head to tail
Fashion spinning new yarns from a sheep’s head to tail
Australia rides on the sheep’s back, or so goes the time-worn saying about the worth of the meat and wool industry.
A sustainable fashion project is proving there is also plenty of value in the sheep’s head, legs, belly and even its fluffy bottom.
The short fibres from these parts of a sheep, called locks, are usually considered of very low value and are either used for chunky knit garments or discarded.
In a trial backed by *********** fashion brand Country Road’s climate fund, a group of innovators has developed a way to use locks to make a sustainable fine yarn ideal for clothing fabric.
“The same sheep that produces super-fine wool used in a nice suit or a jumper … the bits that they generally can’t use from the belly, the legs and the bottom are able to be used,” said Chris Hurren from Deakin University’s Institute for Frontier Materials.
The Mud to Marle project, a collaboration between the institute, social enterprise Full Circle Fibres and textile manufacturer LoomTex, blended the South *********** locks with Queensland cotton.
The unique mix, which creates a stretch fabric without the need for synthetic fibres, has been used in prototypes for women’s suits, T-shirts, jumpers, pants and skirts.
The method has several sustainability benefits, including the need to dye only the wool threads to create a marle effect.
Dyeing the wool rather than the cotton saves on water and energy as the fleece more readily takes on colour.
The natural fibres are also environmentally friendly, Associate Professor Hurren said.
“There’s no synthetics in what we’re doing,” he told AAP.
“And if they’re uncoloured, or coloured with the right dyestuffs, they would be able to be broken back down into soil at the end of their lifetime.”
Mud to Marle has also demonstrated that low-impact, end-to-end textile manufacturing is possible in Australia.
The yarn spinning, usually done offshore, was completed using equipment at Deakin University before it was woven in Geelong and knitted and dyed in Melbourne.
The sample clothing, in warm shades of lilac and mango, was made in Sydney and Melbourne.
“The biggest challenge here is the narrative that (Australia) can’t make anything, but we can make loads of stuff,” Full Circle Fibres founder Meriel Chamberlin said.
“It’s that combination of not just the university, but of local manufacturers and their capability.
“That’s the bit that makes it possible. It’s a local ecosystem – it takes a village.”

Manchester United: Ruben Amorim to apologise to fans after final Premier League game
And, while the 40-year-old former Sporting boss has not decided precisely what he will say in his end-of-season address, he said: “It will be an apology, I think that’s clear, I don’t have time for an explanation.
“I will be honest with the fans and say what is in my mind and especially my heart.”
It will not be an easy task amid widespread disquiet at owners, the Glazer family, and the job cuts that ********* owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has instigated.
United’s supporters will hold another pre-match march to Old Trafford to protest at how the club is being run.
However, officials believe the vast majority of supporters share their view that Amorim is the right man to trigger a revival and the coach is happy to speak to them.
“It’s tradition and we have to face it,” he added of the post-match lap of appreciation. “It will be the biggest mistake if we don’t do that.
“I know that the manager addresses the public and I will do that, it’s the least I can do. I have an idea what I want to say but I will decide tomorrow. If ever there was a season that we need to do it, it’s this one.”

A Bit of Empathy Will Go a Long Way Towards Earning You One of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s Biggest Rewards
A Bit of Empathy Will Go a Long Way Towards Earning You One of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s Biggest Rewards
Nevrons are known to be violent creatures spread across The Continent in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. However, not everyone is so violent, especially the White Nevrons. You’ll come across many of them, and you’re left wondering why they aren’t attacking. Short answer: They are incomplete.
If you show all the White Nevrons some empathy, you’ll get a huge reward. Sometimes peace is an option. You’ll get the idea once you start completing those quests and get compensated for your efforts. You’re rewarded even more generously if you help all the White Nevrons.
White Nevrons give the best loot without even fighting them!
You can find many White Nevrons during Acts 1 and 2 of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. These creatures do not attack you once they spot you, as they are incomplete. If you’re given side quests to aid them and restore them to their full glory.
Even after restoring them, these Nevrons do not fight you. Instead, they give you helpful items, despite being an enemy. You can find out more about the lore behind them as you progress through the story. However, should you kill them during your journey through The Continent?
Well, you shouldn’t kill White Nevrons just because they look like a familiar enemy type. Moreover, if your conscience is in the right place, would you kill someone who helps someone? If you do, then that’s very questionable.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 rewards players gracefully for not judging characters based on their looks. The case is similar to the Oedon Chapel Dweller from Bloodborne. The characters might look like enemies, but they have a good soul that doesn’t want to hurt you.
There are a total of nine White Nevons you can find during the first two Acts of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The first five can be found during Act 1, while the rest of them can be found during Act 2. Just make sure you’re exploring enough, or you’ll miss them for sure.
In case you do end up killing one of the white Nevrons, you won’t be locked out of the final reward. However, if you have killed more than one of them, then the final reward won’t be given. Instead, you’ll have to go through a much worse fate for your violent nature. So, don’t proceed further if you’ve made that mistake.
Spoiler Alert !!!
Major spoiler ahead, that can ruin the experience for you.
What’s the secret reward you get from sparing White Nevrons?
Worth the effort, for sure! | Image Credit: Sandfall Interactive
You’ll be able to get the ultimate reward for being peaceful toward White Nevrons. However, you can access it only after defeating the Paintress during the main story of Act 3. That unlocks Esquie’s flying ability. With that done, you can reap the reward that comes with sparing the creatures you’ve come across during your journey.
While you’re exploring The Continent, you’ll have to visit The Fountain that lies among a forest, west of the Spring Meadows. By landing on it, you’ll be presented with an NPC made out of two hands, named Blanche. Go there after finishing all the White Nevron sidequests.
Blanche rewards you for your mercy towards White Nevrons by giving 100 Colours of Lumina. That’s one sweet bonus reward you get for not massacring around The Continent. Additionally, you also get a new achievement, “Aiding the Enemy.” But if you kill more than one White Nevron, all of that is lost, and Blanche attacks you.
Have you finished all the White Nevron sidequests in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33? Did you know about this secret achievement you can complete? Do tell us about it in the comments!

Lebanon starts process to disarm ************ factions in refugee camps
Lebanon starts process to disarm ************ factions in refugee camps
BEIRUT (AP) — A group tasked with making a plan to remove weapons held by ************ factions in Lebanon’s refugees camps met for the first time Friday to begin hashing out a timetable and mechanism for disarming the groups.
The Lebanese-************ Dialogue Committee, a government body that serves as an interlocutor between ************ refugees and officials, said the meeting was attended by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and that “participants agreed to launch a process for the disarmament of weapons according to a specific timetable.”
The group added that it also aimed to take steps to “enhance the economic and social rights of ************ refugees.”
A Lebanese official familiar with the discussions, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to comment, said work to remove the weapons would begin within a month.
The meeting followed a visit by ************ President Mahmoud Abbas to Lebanon, during which he and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun announced an agreement that ************ factions would not use Lebanon as a launchpad for any attacks against Israel, and that weapons would be consolidated under the authority of the Lebanese government.
There are multiple ************ factions active in Lebanon’s refugee camps, which include Abbas’ ****** movement, the rival ****** group and a range of other Islamist and leftist groups.
The 12 ************ refugee camps aren’t under the control of Lebanese authorities, and rival groups have clashed inside the camps in recent years, inflicting casualties and affecting nearby areas.
****** and allied ************ groups also fought alongside the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah against Israel in Lebanon in a war that ended with a ceasefire in November. Hezbollah has been under increasing pressure to give up its own weapons since then.
Ihsan Ataya, a member of the political bureau of the ************ Islamic ****** group, which is allied with ******, said in a statement that his group “adheres to the laws of the host country and respects applicable laws.” But he questioned how the disarmament would be implemented and “whether the goal of raising the issue of weapons today was to yield to American pressure to resettle ************ refugees” and “eliminate the symbolism of resistance in the camps related to the refugees’ right of return to their homes” in what is now Israel.
****** spokesperson ****** Taha told local TV station Al Jadeed that ****** does not have “military centers” in Lebanon, inside or outside of the camps and is “keen on the security and stability of our ************ camps.” He said they are also “keen to establish the best relations with our brothers in Lebanon at the government level, at the popular level and at the level of resistance.”
He did not clearly say whether the group would hand over any weapons it has.
The Lebanese official said that ******’ office in Lebanon would be allowed to remain open if it worked only on political and not military matters.
There are nearly 500,000 Palestinians registered with UNRWA, the United Nations agency for ************ refugees, in Lebanon. However, the actual number in the country is believed to be around 200,000, as many have emigrated but remain on UNRWA’s roster.
They are prohibited from working in many professions, have few legal protections and can’t own property.

Henry Pollock: Bordeaux players ‘out of order’ in post-match Champions Cup fracas – Dowson
Northampton director of rugby Phil Dowson accused Bordeaux-Begles’ players of being “out of order” after Henry Pollock appeared to be grabbed around the neck on the final whistle of Saints’ Champions Cup final defeat on Saturday.
“There was a fracas at the end, there was foul play involved,” Dowson said.
“Henry Pollock was particularly upset by it because I think it was uncalled for and out of order. He reacted, and the officials have told me that they will deal with it.”
Pollock, 20, was confronted by Bordeaux prop Jefferson Poirot after an argument with fly-half Mathieu Jalibert following the French side’s 28-20 victory in Cardiff.
“I told him that he didn’t know our club,” said Jalibert. “They said some things in the press which we didn’t really appreciate.
“They said that we were a club of mercenaries who are here for the money. I just told him that he doesn’t know our history, where we came from and that he must respect all clubs.
“I know it is their way of preparing for matches, but they must have respect too.”
