How To Revive Teammates Faster In Elden Ring Nightreign
How To Revive Teammates Faster In Elden Ring Nightreign
Even if you attempt to anticipate every possible fatal outcome, Elden Ring Nightreign is tough as nails. Once you’ve mastered the Nightreign matchmaking process, reviving your teammates and vice versa is a common scenario, and death shouldn’t discourage you–this is a From Software game after all. That being said, there are situations in which the party would benefit from swiftness, to say the least.
Whether somebody is struggling with the Night’s Tide or made a bad call and tried to take down a boss alone, reviving a teammate in multiplayer is a serious ordeal that can be quite time-consuming. Luckily, there are ways to speed up the process. This guide explains how to revive teammates faster in Elden Ring Nightreign, as long as you’re not playing Nightreign solo and how they can return the favor.
How to revive teammates faster in Elden Ring Nightreign
Dying in souls-like games usually leads to a game over screen and instant frustration, but Nightreign tackles this differently. When someone’s health drops to zero, they’ll crawl on the floor for a few seconds until a timer runs out. Within that time, a teammate can attack them to deplete a gauge bar (up to three bars after repeated deaths) and get them back up. If unsuccessful, the Nightfarer dies and loses a level as well as the runes they’re carrying.
If you’re wondering whether there’s a way to revive teammates faster in Elden Ring Nightreign, here are a few methods, which we’ll explain in detail further down:
Use light and fast melee weapons.
Alternatively, use slower but stronger attacks.
Long-range weapons are an excellent option.
Some Ultimate Arts are quite helpful, too.
I swear this was just for demonstration purposes. Maybe.
One-handed swords and weapons like whips, especially in the hands of Nightfarers with a ton of stamina, can be great for reviving your squad. The idea is to hit as fast as possible, ideally without stopping, while also having some stamina left in case a foe tries to interrupt the action so you can quickly dodge and refocus the attack on the fellow Nightfarer.
In the case of character classes that use ******* and therefore slower weapons, the former is rarely an option. The Raider, for example, gets tired fast, and you might not be able to hit the knocked-down player on time before its gauge begins to replenish itself. That being said, charging attacks by holding down the attack button will deal more damage, bridging that gap.
However, ranged weapons are by far the ideal option. Bows and crossbows allow you to target teammates from afar, and the firing rate is usually fast enough that you won’t need to be stuck in one spot shooting 30 arrows while exposing yourself to attacks. Even if your Nightfarer of choice isn’t range weapon-savvy, you should carry at least one for this purpose alone.
Remember that you’ll revive if you die outside of boss encounters, albeit losing a level and your current runes, which you’ll have to return for.
If everything else fails, some Ultimate Arts will come in handy. Wings of Salvation, which is the Guardian’s ability, sees the character leap up and returns to the ground with a diving attack–perfect for picking a buddy up on their feet. With the Revenant class, the Immortal March ability is focused on granting temporary immortality to the Revenant’s familiars, but it also revives near-death allies.
The tricky aspect of Ultimate Arts is, ultimately, the cooldown. These abilities should be seen as complements to the aforementioned methods. The more options you can have at your disposal, the better–especially during fights against the Night Lords, where chaos doesn’t take long to ensue. If you’re looking for some extra support, check out our Elden Ring Nightreign guides hub which includes the best ways to farm runes, where to find smithing stones to upgrade weapons, and how to increase healing flask charges.

Enterprise Products says its China exports could fall due to license requirement
HOUSTON (Reuters) -Enterprise Products Partners on Thursday said its ethane and butane exports could be hurt by a U.S. Department of Commerce requirement that it apply for a license to export to China.
The United States has ordered a broad swathe of companies to stop shipping goods, including ethane and butane, to China without a license and revoked licenses already granted to certain suppliers, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
Enterprise, which owns and operates marine export terminals that handle ethane and butane, said in a regulatory filing it was evaluating its procedures and internal controls and could not determine if it will be able to obtain a license.
Enterprise’s marine export terminal on the Houston ship channel loaded about 213,000 barrels per day of ethane in 2024, of which about 85,000 BPD, or 40%, were exported to ******** markets, Enterprise said.

Elden Ring Nightreign Tricephalos Boss Guide – How To Beat Gladius
Elden Ring Nightreign Tricephalos Boss Guide – How To Beat Gladius
When you first get past the tutorial in Elden Ring Nightreign, you’ll be able to challenge a single boss: the Tricephalos. This is the only boss that you can select from the Expeditions menu, regardless of whether you decide to run a solo or multiplayer expedition. If you manage to make it through your first two nights, you’ll get to challenge Tricephalos, which goes by the name “Gladius, Beast of the Night” when you get to the boss arena.
If you don’t want to die to Gladius and make your expedition run all for nothing, then check out our guide below for tips on how to beat the first boss in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Gladius, Beast of the Night attacks
Gladius, Beast of the Night is a three-headed dog–or Tricephalos– with several primary attacks that you’ll always need to be on the lookout for and a couple of major attacks that can decimate your entire party at any moment. It specializes in fire damage, so that’s worth keeping in mind for your resistances and counters.
The opening scene with Gladius, Beast of the Night
When your party first heads into the boss arena, Gladius will usually start with its chain attack, where it will uncoil a large whip-like chain from over its head and fire it quickly in a curved line. This attack always targets a single player, but can be initially avoided if you see that the boss is targeting you. However, you need to watch out for the chain’s secondary attack, which whips the chain across the arena and damages anyone who’s in its way.
After the chain attack is over, Gladius will recall the chain and often start moving around the arena to find a specific player to target with close-range attacks. If the boss doesn’t do that, though, it will likely use its sword attack, which is another medium- to long-range move that targets one player. The sword attack is similar to the chain, but the sword moves in a straighter line and at a faster speed. It’s easy to predict which player the boss targets with the sword, but you need to be quick to dodge the sword once Gladius swings it at you if you’re the one it’s targeting.
Those are the two set attacks that Gladius performs with the weapons at its disposal. Of course, Gladius also has attacks that involve melee or using one of its three heads. In between the chain and sword attacks, the boss will target one player and move towards them to try and bite them, lift up its paws to do a stomp move, or swing its tail around to damage any nearby players.
After you have dealt enough damage to Gladius it will unleash its primal form, which involves the boss splitting up into three separate dogs. Each one of these dogs remains large, but only one has a sword that it can use. However, the entire boss arena will be covered in banners that deal area of effect damage throughout this phase, so you want to ensure you’re staying far away from the floating orange structures.
The primal form of Gladius litters the arena with dangerous banners.
You need to deal enough damage to each of the three dogs during this phase for Gladius to return to its normal, three-headed self. Every time Gladius returns to its regular form, you can expect the same attacks as when the fight began. So it’s crucial you know the timing and predictability of the chain and sword attacks.
Strategies for Gladius, Beast of the Night
Now that we’ve gone into the attacks you can expect from Gladius, what are some strategies you and your party can utilize to defeat the boss?
First off, it’s highly recommended not to try this boss solo, as the three dog phase alone will usually be enough to overwhelm a single player. Going in with a full three-person party is the best way to defeat Gladius, and there’s really no “perfect” party combination to use. However, if you want to see some efficient party combinations in Elden Ring Nightreign, check out our other guide.
Assuming you are in a full party of three, the best opening strategy for Gladius is to have one dedicated player be the “aggro” target for the boss. This player should ideally be running a tanky melee class like the Raider or Wylder, and their job is to consistently grab the attention of Gladius when it’s not performing one of its set attacks.
Splitting up your party’s three members is a great strategy for Gladius
When Gladius is focused on this single player, the other two party members can attack it from range or up close, depending on their chosen classes. The aggro target player can also try to attack, but their primary job is to dodge Gladius’ attacks to stay healthy and keep the boss focused on them. Whenever Gladius moves to try to attack another player, the aggro target needs to attack the boss to make it refocus on them.
To effectively deal damage to Gladius, all players need to use their abilities to their fullest extent. Taking larger chunks away from the boss’s bar using abilities and perhaps some equipment is the best way to make this fight go by faster. Of course, abilities aren’t always available to use, so the players who Gladius isn’t focused on need to try and deal consistent damage using their top weapon(s) while the boss is distracted and not using one of its better attacks.
The players Gladius isn’t targeting can also try to support the aggro target. This can be done using Warming Stones in the aggro target’s range, which heal any character standing in its range, or utilizing their own abilities if the player gets into trouble. For example, the Raider class can summon a large pillar as its ultimate ability, and that can be used quite effectively to save a player who is low on HP or needs to be revived faster.
The first Night Lord Felled screen in Elden Ring Nightreign
Unfortunately, a bulk of this strategy goes out the window during Gladius’ three dog phase. During this phase, it’s best for each player to try to manage one of the three dogs so that the dogs aren’t all grouping up on one player, which can lead to a vicious revive cycle. Of course, if one or two players are low on HP, then it might be better to all group up and try to survive the phase together so that one player doesn’t take the brunt of the damage.
All in all, Gladius can be a tricky boss to deal with in Elden Ring Nightreign. It has some powerful attacks, a difficult phase that can be triggered multiple times, and a ton of HP that doesn’t go down easily. However, as long as your party members are dealing consistent damage, splitting up when necessary, and helping out different players, you should be able to defeat the boss on your first or second try.
If you managed to defeat the Tricephalos in Elden Ring Nightreign, why not take a look at our other boss guide for the Equilibrious Beast, which is unlocked after defeating Gladius. We’ve also got an Elden Ring Nightreign guides hub, for other tips and tricks.

Elden Ring Nightreign Beginner Tips And Tricks
Elden Ring Nightreign Beginner Tips And Tricks
Elden Ring Nightreign is almost here! It launches tomorrow, with new From Software-designed bosses and challenges to take on in The Lands Between. Though it retains the From Software action at its core, it’s a roguelite experience, meaning it plays unlike anything the studio has made before. As such, this game has lots of “new” to pick up on. Fortunately for you, my colleague Alex Van Aken and I (read my 8 out of 10 review here) have put more than 60 hours into the game, and we’ve rounded up the best beginner tips and tricks for anyone jumping into Elden Ring Nightreign.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Beginner Tips and Tricks
All armament attributes and buffs affect your character, EVEN WHEN UNEQUIPPED
Notice those caps? We can’t emphasize this point enough. Every weapon you pick up features unique buffs and effects, ranging from things like increased ranged or holy damage to increased attack under specific circumstances. For the most part, these effects will be applied to your character as long as the armament is in one of your item slots.
The exception to this rule is any armament with a red hand symbol attached to an effect in its description. If you see this red hand, it means you must have it equipped and in use to receive the effect. You’ll know it’s working because you’ll see a white hand symbol instead of the red hand when it’s utilized.
Get to Level 2 quickly – it makes a massive difference.
When you land, you will pretty much always drop into Limveld by a small camp that’s not marked on the map. Defeat all of the enemies here and head to the nearest Site of Grace to level up. Reaching Level 2 requires very few Runes, and the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 is massive – it’s the difference you’ll need to take on the points of interest actually marked on your map.
If you can level up, a flashing light-blue arrow will appear next to the level indicator in the top left corner of your UI.
It’s also a great idea to memorize how many Runes are needed to go from Level X to Level Y so you can do the mental calculations on the fly.
Use spectral trees to fly around the map quickly.
On your map, you will see blue spectral trees with wind-like streams flowing out of them. The wind stream indicates the direction this tree will take you, and interacting with the tree in-world will cause a spectral eagle to pick you up and, if you don’t touch anything, drop you off at the end of the wind stream path on the map. You can use the on-screen button prompts to either descend quickly with the eagle or have it drop you altogether.
When using the spectral tree eagles, don’t touch your left stick.
Doing so will throw the eagle off its flight path, leading to a quick end for your flight. Don’t press anything to travel the full distance.
Another great way to traverse the map quickly is via Slipstream Jumps.
On your map, these jumps look like blue flames, and when you reach them in-world, that’s what they look like too. Hop into them and press the jump button to launch into the air. You can direct where you land using the analog sticks – these jumps are useful for climbing up cliffs quickly, reaching new areas, or pulling off u-turns mid-air to get somewhere else. You can also use them to cover distance quickly, which is especially useful for escaping the storm.
Visit churches to increase your flask charge count.
On your map, you will see orange-gold churches. Visit these to increase your flash count by one. After visiting a church, its symbol on your map will turn grey, indicating that you’ve already obtained the flask charge increase there.
When you reach a church, your character will also be fully healed when accepting the additional flask.
This is a great thing to keep in mind if you have to head into the storm to reach a church, as your health will be restored, giving you more of a fighting chance against the storm’s damage.
Use your Evergaol Keys on Day One.
Using an Evergaol Key to open an Evergaol on the map will spawn a random boss to fight. If you do this on Day One, the boss will only have half of its health, which you’ll notice when you see half of its health bar greyed out. If you open an Evergaol on Day Two, the boss will have two-thirds of its health, making it a tougher fight.
Most points of interest have multiple entry points.
Utilize these different entrances to take down points of interest quicker, like the basements of castles and forts.
If you see the merchant that looks like the Equillibrious Beast (colloquially known as Libra), speak to it.
It offers bargains, such as giving you a “powerful weapon” at the cost of two levels (trust me: it isn’t worth it because I received a grey weapon from this once and it was devastating) or boosting dexertity at the cost of limited FP (an excellent choice for the Ironeye, who has a Dexerity affinity and little use for FP).
Ninety-nine percent of the time, it’s worth it to complete the Shifting Earth events on the map.
These will unlock as you beat more Nightlord bosses, and you won’t have one on the map until you beat the first Nightlord boss. The first one you’ll unlock is the volcano event, and it’s one of the best to complete. Heading down into the volcanic area leads to a fight against a Magma Wyrm. Defeating this boss gives you an upgrade that takes any weapon of any rarity to Legendary (gold) status. The other events are great too, like the Scarlet Rot Forest, which features a blessing that yields an immunity to Scarlet Rot, increased HP, and activates a health mechanic similar to Bloodborne’s Rally mechanic.
Complete the Remembrances.
These will unlock the longer you play each Nightfarer, and they are specialized quests for each character. Only one person in a trio can have one active. The earlier quests require you to beat a special boss on the map, but later Rememberances require beating the final boss, which is much tougher. Either way, completing Rememberances gives you excellent character-specific Relics to equip.
Always seek out points of interest marked with the elemental damage type that’s effective against the Expedition’s Nightlord.
When selecting an expedition, you’ll see what elemental damage type the Nightlord boss is weak to, noted by a symbol of the element next to “effective.” You can also read the Nightlord’s description for another hint about the effectiveness of this elemental damage.
If you see a red spectre on their knees in Limveld with the item marker on it, interact with it to receive a bunch of loot.
These are the spectres of other players who have died, and you can see which character they were playing as, and you’ll notice their loot is themed around that as well.
If you find an Ironeye spectre, for example, you’ll see that their weapons are marked with “The Ironeye’s Grief” or “The Ironeye’s Revenge.” If you’re playing Ironeye, you should pick these up as they directly increase Ironeye’s scaled affinities like Dexerity.
Check back in with the Jar Merchant in the Roundtable Hold periodically.
His shop updates throughout your journey to include additional Relics, such as character-specific ones, and more.
After beating two Nightlord bosses (or in other words, successfully completing two Expeditions), head to the new mirror icon on the Roundtable Hold map.
Here, you can purchase additional outfits for your Nightfarers using Merk, the same currency used to purchase things from the Jar Merchant.
Upgrade grey rarity weapons to blue using Smithing Stones.
You can find these basic Smithing Stones out in the world or by purchasing them from merchants scattered about the map for 6500 Runes. The upgrade bench is always by the merchant.
Upgrade blue rarity weapons to purple using upgraded Smithing Stones.
To find these special Smithing Stones, head into the mines on your map and sprint through until you find the Golem miniboss. Defeat it to receive the type of Smithing Stone needed to upgrade your blue rarity weapons to purple rarity.
You can quickly mark items and places on the ground by holding Triangle/Y and pressing R3/RS.
The corresponding symbol and color will indicate who on your team made the mark.
If you run into the Flame Chariot world bosses, you can dispatch them extremely fast by double jumping onto their head and pressing R1/RB.
When you double jump onto the top of their heads or nearby, pressing R1/RB should activate a critical hit (the same move that allows you to stab enemies in the back). This critical hit instantly kills them, which is faster than the critical hit achievable by stabbing the chariot drivers in the back.
And that’s all of our beginner tips and tricks for you before heading into Elden Ring Nightrein. For more, read Game Informer’s Elden Ring Nightreign review, and then check out this Elden Ring Nightreign launch trailer that summons the power of Evanescence.
If you have any tips or tricks not listed here, drop them in the comments below for your fellow Nightfarers heading into The Lands Between!

A Marine swept the Corps’ top marksmanship contest for first time since 1959
A Marine swept the Corps’ top marksmanship contest for first time since 1959
Long before Marine Staff Sgt. Payton Garcia matched a 66-year-old Marine Corps marksmanship record last month, he was pretty sure he was a good shot.
“I did my first [Marine Corps marksmanship] match in 2021, and I did relatively well. I got a silver pistol badge on my first time,” Garcia told Task & Purpose. “Then I went to a match on the civilian side, thinking that I was, like, ‘The Shooter.’ The best ever.”
He was not.
“I got beat by a 68-year-old man and a 12-year-old little boy,” Garcia remembers. “And that’s when it lit a fire, like, realizing that there’s so much more to marksmanship. I was a Marine who thought that he was a really good marksman, and then getting humbled up in town made me realize how much we don’t know about marksmanship.”
Now a member of the Marine Corps Shooting Team, Garcia may still not be “the best ever,” but his performance in April at the Marine Corps Championships — the top annual marksmanship competition for Marines across the service — was so dominant officials had trouble finding a historic equivalent.
Shooting against 80 Marines and competitors from other services and nations, Garcia won both the rifle and pistol categories, a sweep that no shooter had pulled off since 1959. He also won the competition’s multi-gun contest, an event added in recent years.
“We were curious about that during the actual conduct of the match, and we dug through all of our history books and records,” said Capt. John Bodzoich, the shooting team commander. “And what we found is, in the 124 years the team’s been around, and since the establishment of all these matches, Sgt. Garcia is the second Marine in history to do a clean sweep of the championships. So of the thousands of Marines that have come through, he’s the second one ever to win both high rifle, high pistol, and high overall [score].”
Garcia’s path to the top marksmanship awards in the Marine Corps, he said, traces directly back to getting smoked by a senior citizen and a grade schooler.
“One of the biggest things that went into my improvement was actually learning how to train,” Garcia said. “Actually sitting down and deep-diving into the fundamentals of shooting.”
Shooting against civilians and absorbing non-military training techniques, he said, was different than traditional Marine marksmanship training.
“Just like any other sport, there are build-ups to each one of those fundamentals that you need to do,” he said. “Structuralizing training and isolating skills that I’ve learned from those local matches, and realizing that it’s not all just about shooting. There’s a lot of mental aspects that go into shooting, where you’re competing at any level, realizing that you need to be in the right headspace.”
Trained as a fuel specialist rather than in combat arms like infantry, Garcia says he’s often asked if competition-style shooting is applicable in the field.
“You ask me what my MOS is, and I answer, I’m a bulk fuel specialist,” he said. “I don’t know much about tactics, but I do know that putting rounds as accurately as possible on a target as quickly as possible will translate to the tactical world. ”
The Marine Corps Shooting Team was established in 1899 to bring together top shots who would compete with elite shooters of all kinds, then share what they learned with Marines in the fleet. Based at Quantico, Virginia, the full-time team members spend about half their time training for and sponsoring competitions, and the other half training and working with marksmanship instructors and experts inside the Marines.
Marine Staff Sgt. Payton Garcia moves towards a firing line at the Marine Corps Championships marksmanship competition in April 2025. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Daniela Chicas Torres.
Garcia said his success demonstrates that marksmanship can be taught to almost anyone. Growing up in Lawrence, Kansas, he said, he had virtually no exposure to firearms beyond a few unsupervised moments that would probably terrify a Marine instructor.
“Before I joined the Marines, I had just shot a pistol or a rifle into a dirt berm or the trash with no target,” he remembers. “It was more for fun.”
The annual Marine Corps Championships, held in Quantico, is a culminating event among shooters who advance through qualification competitions at major bases like Camp Pendleton in California and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Across 30 events, shooters face scenarios that the shooting team has dreamed up based on their experience in civilian practical shooting competitions. This year’s stations included shooting lanes from boats, from a balance beam, and even with a mandatory bench press set before shooting.
In one event, Garcia said, they created a shooting lane in which Marines had to shoot around a barricade while balancing on one leg with a 45-pound ruck on. In another, shooters arrived on a station that appeared to be a trash pit, with tires, ammo cans, pallets, wheels and other debris. From that, they had to build a barrier up to a preset level to shoot from.
They also shot a wide range of weapons. “We were able to shoot the M1 Garand, the M1014,” Garcia said in a Marine Corps press release. “We shot M16A2s, a lot of iron sights, and it was such a breath of fresh air.”
The competition covered eight days.
“I went into this year with the expectation that I just wanted to make it difficult for someone else to win,” Garcia said. “I’m going to shoot my match and support anybody that I can.”
As the top shooter, Garcia was awarded a historic trophy: his own M-1 Garand rifle, the same kind used by Marines in World War II.
He didn’t keep it and instead gave the rifle to Sgt. Kai Byrom, the highest-scoring first-year competitor, a mortarman and marksmanship coach with Weapons and Field Training Battalion, Parris Island.
“I thought it was more important to isolate and kind of award the next generation of Marines,” Garcia said. “So I thought it was important to spread marksmanship knowledge and to light a fire under some of the newer guys by awarding or deferring the M1 to that Marine. It’s more important for the next generation, and not about us.”

How To Break Statues In Elden Ring Nightreign
How To Break Statues In Elden Ring Nightreign
Elden Ring Nightreign is full of mysteries, including a number of statues that seem to contain loot within. Attacking them with your weapons or magic has no effect, however, and there’s no indication of what exactly they’re hiding. Classic FromSoftware move.
There are dozens of different places to explore during expeditions, and not enough time to see everything before the Night’s Tide engulfs the map. That being said, you shouldn’t ignore these structures. If you’re wondering how to break statues in Elden Ring Nightreign, this guide explains the process and what they’re hiding inside.
How to break statues in Elden Ring Nightreign
If you spot a statue out in the wild with a glowing blue light, it means you can break it. In order to do so, you’ll need to use an Ultimate Art that can alter the surrounding terrain–Raider’s Totem Stela is perfect for this. Alternatively, if there’s a strong enemy or a boss nearby, you can lure them to the statue and bait them into attacking it.
I used Totem Stela plenty of times to break statues. The drawback is that it takes a while until it becomes available to use, so if anything, feel free to drop a marker on the map and return later. If you’re indeed using the Raider’s Ultimate Art, it’s going to take a few seconds for the stone pillar to disappear. In my experience, it sat on the entire statue, so I had to wait it out. It’s a clumsy but effective method.
There’s usually both a weapon and an upgrade material inside a statue.
Once the stone disappears, you should see the broken statue with the glowing light in reach. You might have to climb to reach it, but it’s a quick action. Loot varies between high-quality items and upgrade materials, with the latter including the chance of getting Smithing Stones. You can use them to upgrade your weapons from uncommon (blue) to rare (purple). If you’ve found an uncommon weapon that fits your current build, this item will kick it up a notch.
That’s all you need to know about breaking statues in Elden Ring Nightreign. It’s a fairly simple ordeal, but you should make a quick stop when you see them. If you’re wondering where to go next, we have an Elden Ring Nightreign guides hub covering how to increase healing flask charges, best ways to farm runes, and how to unlock rise tower crests.

First and foremost, let’s go over how to actually get into expeditions once you’re past the tutorial of the game that occurs within the first 10 or so minutes.
After the tutorial, you’ll find yourself at the Roundtable Hold, a familiar location for Elden Ring fans. At the Roundtable Hold, you can interact with a variety of NPCs, but the main area you’ll spend the majority of your time in is right in the center at the table itself. When you approach the central table, you’ll get a prompt to “Commence Expedition,” which you want to press.
When you choose to commence an expedition, the boss menu in Nightreign will appear on your screen. This lists all the current bosses you can hunt down in the game, providing a brief background on each one so you know what you’re up against. Before you choose a boss, though, you want to tab over to the Matchmaking Settings by using the bumpers on your controller.
Starting an expedition with the first boss in Elden Ring Nightreign
On the Matchmaking Settings menu, you’re able to invite members to your party, create a password for your friends to use and join your group, and even change your Expedition Type to switch between single-player and multiplayer.
How to play solo in Elden Ring Nightreign
First up, if you want to play solo in Elden Ring Nightreign, all you have to do is change the Expedition Type from the default “multiplayer” to “singleplayer.” These are your only two options, so switching the type once will do the trick.
Once you have switched your Expedition Type, you can head into the boss menu, select your boss, and then commence a solo expedition. As a note, you’ll default to the class that you currently have equipped in the Roundtable Hold, as you have no teammates to go through the class selection screen with.
Going through Nightreign in a party of one
Other than that, everything is the exact same as it is in the multiplayer expeditions. You can do the same things, fight the same enemies, and try to defeat all of the bosses to eventually reach the final boss. Of course, as a solo player, this is incredibly hard, and once you die a single time, you’re dead for good since you can’t be revived.
How to play multiplayer in Elden Ring Nightreign
Now, let’s get into playing Elden Ring Nightreign the way the developers intended. By default, your Expedition Type is set to multiplayer, so if you want to play with two random players, all you have to do is commence an expedition, pick your boss, and then the game will take care of the rest. You’ll be automatically matched with two other real players, and then the character selection screen will appear.
The tutorial box for setting up team expeditions
Only one person can select any particular class, so if a player gets to your favorite class, you need to have a backup or two. Once the characters have been chosen, all three of you will drop onto a map together, and you can start playing from there. There’s no limit to staying near your teammates, so feel free to do whatever you think is best. However, you’ll eventually wind up with your teammates at the end of the day as the zone encroaches around the map.
On the flip side, if you want to play with your friends instead of random players, you can do that from the Matchmaking Settings menu as well. All you have to do is select the “Invite Members” option from the menu, which brings up a list of your online friends from your platform. If you invite players, they become members of your party, and you can all hop into an expedition when everyone has readied up. As a note, if some players haven’t progressed to your point in the game, they’ll still be able to play, but could experience content they haven’t seen yet.
To bypass the inviting and joining process, you can also set a multiplayer password. This allows you to matchmake with players using the same password as you, which gives you the chance to play with people that you’re not friends with on your platform. You can choose to set the number of players with the password who can join, with a maximum of three players, which fills out the entire party. If you select one or two players, then the remaining spots will be filled with random players.
Setting a multiplayer password for others to join off
Finally, you can also set up to five group passwords. These passwords are so you can more easily see bloodstains, phantoms, and victor records from others who are using the same password. Of course, setting up five passwords takes some coordination if you’re planning to use them across a large friend group, so make sure all of your friends are using the exact passwords.
Does Elden Ring Nightreign support cross-play?
Now that you understand how multiplayer expeditions work, you might be wondering if you’re able to party up with your friends or other players who are on a different system. Unfortunately, Elden Ring Nightreign does not support cross-play at launch, meaning that you can only matchmake with players who are on the same system as you.
However, there is one caveat to that rule. Nightreign does support cross-generation play, which means you can party up with friends and players who are using the same console brand as you. For example, if you’re on Xbox Series X|S, a friend on Xbox One can still matchmake with you for an expedition. The same goes for players on PlayStation 4 and 5.
So, while the game doesn’t offer full cross-play, there is a silver lining for those who have a friend group with some mismatched last-generation and current-generation consoles.
And that just about does it for all of the ways to set up an expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Study finds a parent’s gut instinct more likely to reveal serious illness than abnormalities in vital signs
Study finds a parent’s gut instinct more likely to reveal serious illness than abnormalities in vital signs
A parent’s gut instinct that their child is deteriorating in hospital can be more accurate in detecting serious illness than vital signs, a new study has revealed.
The Monash University study introduced a simple question for clinical staff at Monash Children’s Hospital to ask parents during every vital signs check: “Are you worried your child is getting worse?”.
Out of the 73,845 children that were part of the research, 4721 caregivers indicated they were concerned, which would prompt a clinical review of the child within 30 minutes.
The results revealed that, if a parent said they were worried, their child was about four times more likely to require intensive care even when their vital signs appeared normal.
Children of caregivers who voiced concerns also stayed in hospital three times as long and were five times as likely to die during that admission.
Lead researcher Erin Mills said putting more of an emphasis on listening to parents could play a crucial role in preventing deaths and serious harm in hospital.
“We found that when a parent said ‘I’m worried about my child getting worse’, that was associated with a much higher chance of that child ending up in ICU than a child having any abnormal vital sign,” she said.
“We use vital signs to predict who might deteriorate and so this adds to the case that we should include the concerns of parents as a vital sign.
“The question has helped me find conditions that I otherwise might have missed when reviewing patients — we found sepsis in a child who had completely normal vital signs and the only clue was that the parent was really worried.”
When parental concern was identified, it lead to earlier management 7.3 hours before the child developed an abnormal vital sign on average.
In 2021, Aishwarya Aswath died in Perth Children’s Hospital after her sepsis symptoms were overlooked by nurses and doctors, despite her parents raising the alarm.
Aishwarya’s death prompted the introduction of the Aishwarya Care Call line — dedicated phones for parents to directly speak to medical clinicians if their child’s condition deteriorates.
Last week, an inquest was held into the death of Sandipan Dhar, which came after two presentations at Joondalup Health Campus in which his desperate parents begged for the blood test which could have diagnosed his leukaemia, and potentially saved his life.
Parental concern plays a role in most hospitals but many paediatric early warning systems rely more heavily on abnormal vital signs to detect deterioration.
In WA hospitals, family concerns are integrated into the Paediatric Acute Recognition and Response Tool with clinicians having to ask parents if they are worried their child is getting worse, how they think their child is doing, and has anything changed.

How To Use Relics In Elden Ring Nightreign
How To Use Relics In Elden Ring Nightreign
There are a few different ways you can customize your character during an expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign, but there’s only one method to use while you’re at the Roundtable Hold. Relics are the primary form of build customization when you’re gearing up for an expedition, and they allow you to bestow certain abilities and buffs onto your character. However, Relics aren’t fully explained when you start up Nightreign. Even after you get into the basics of them, there are still some tidbits you need to know to take full advantage of them.
You can see exactly how to use Relics in Elden Ring Nightreign in the guide below.
How to get Relics in Elden Ring Nightreign
For starters, Relics can only be accessed and equipped at the Roundtable Hold in Nightreign. To find the spot to equip Relics, go to the central part of the Roundtable Hold and look around at the circular walls for a carved-out area with blue candles. Approach this area, interact with the altar that’s there by choosing to “Perform Relic Rites,” and you’ll bring up the Relics menu.
Accessing the Relics area at the Roundtable Hold
Once you’ve brought up the Relics menu, you’ll be able to swap between every character class you have unlocked, which is six by default. However, you can unlock two additional classes in Nightreign to bring your total to eight, and when you unlock those classes, they’ll be added to the Relics menu.
In the Relics menu, you’ll see three colored slots under each of your class tabs on the left-hand side of the screen. On the right-hand side of the screen, you can view all of the Relics that you have available.
You can acquire Relics by purchasing them from the Small Jar Bazaar NPC at the Roundtable Hold or unlock them at the end of every expedition run in Nightreign. Regardless of whether you die prematurely or not, you should usually receive at least a few Relics as a reward for going on an expedition. The rewards screen is viewable at the end of every run, right before you return to the Roundtable Hold.
The rewards screen showing the Relics unlocked
As for purchasing the Relics at the Small Jar Bazaar, you can either purchase them directly or buy a Scenic Flatstone item, which contains a random reward that could be a Relic. You purchase the Relics or any other item at the Small Jar Bazaar using the Murk currency, which is rewarded to you after expeditions. The longer and more successful expedition you go on, the more Murk and Relics you’ll receive as a reward.
Purchasing a Scenic Flatstone from the Small Jar Bazaar shop
How to use and equip Relics in Elden Ring Nightreign
Going back to the Relics menu, you can equip Relics in the three slots for every class you have unlocked. However, Relics need to be equipped in the appropriately colored slot. For example, you can only equip a Relic with a red gem in the center of it in the red Relic slot. The same goes for blue-, green-, and orange-colored Relics.
You can also use physical items as Relics that are often earned via defeating a final expedition boss. These will have a colored dot on their icon in the Relics menu that lets you know what color slot they can go into.
Every class in Nightreign has different colored Relic slots by default. The Guardian class, for example, has one red and two orange colored slots so that you can insert one red and two orange Relics for that class. On the other hand, the Wylder class has two red and one blue-colored slot.
The basic Relics menu in Nightreign
It should be noted that you’re fully allowed to use one Relic multiple times. This means just because you equip one Relic for one class doesn’t mean you can’t then equip that Relic for another class (as long as the colored slots allow for it). So if you have a particularly strong red Relic in Nightreign, you can spread that Relic across any class that has a red Relic slot.
Before and after you equip a Relic into a slot, you’re able to hover over its icon to see all of the bonuses it offers. Sometimes, Relics will have bonuses that only apply to one class, but most of the time, Relics are best suited for specific classes. As an example, the “Night of the Beast” Relic that you receive for slaying the first expedition boss in Nightreign makes your starting armament deal fire damage. This particular bonus is terrific for melee classes, but isn’t as strong for the Recluse or Ironeye, who use ranged weapons.
Choosing the Night of the Beast Relic
Naturally, you’ll want to equip Relics that you deem beneficial for the build you’re attempting to use. If you’re going with the Guardian, for example, then equipping Relics that offer better stamina or physical damage makes sense, but you can also change things up if you want to use the Guardian in a specific way.
How to change Relic color slots in Elden Ring Nightreign
One of the most frustrating aspects of the Relics menu in Nightreign is that you’re initially limited to the colored slots that are offered by default. This makes it difficult to customize a certain class the way you want, since you might be unable to use strong Relics due to their color not matching your available slots.
However, there is an easy way to change the colored Relic slots for every class. All you need to do is make your way over to the Small Jar Bazaar and purchase one of the special goblets for each of the classes. These allow you to change the colored slots for that particular class. So, if you buy the Guardian’s Goblet, you can switch the colored slots for the Guardian in the Relics menu. The goblets only become available at the shop after you have defeated the first expedition boss, Tricephalos, in Nightreign.
Viewing the different class goblets at the Small Jar Bazaar
Of course, the goblets also come with premade colored slots, so you don’t get to fully customize the slots yourself, but this offers an alternative to the default slots. Each of the class goblets is sold for 1,200 Murk at the Small Jar Bazaar, and once you have one, head over to the Relic Rites area.
In the Relics menu, go to the class you bought the goblet for and press the white down arrow right underneath where the colored slots are. This allows you to switch between the Guardian’s Urn, which has the default slots, and the Guardian’s Goblet, which has your new slots. The goblets completely alter the Relics you can equip, as the Guardin’s Goblet offers two blue and one green slots compared to the Guardina’s Urn, which has one red and two orange slots.
Swapping the Guardian’s Urn for the Guardian’s Goblet
As you progress through Elden Ring Nightreign, you’ll be able to acquire more sets of Relic slots, but the goblets are your only option at the start of the game.
Unlocking new Relics, swapping them around, and choosing what abilities and buffs to use for every class is a major part of the progression loop and character-building aspect of Nightreign, so make sure you’re taking full advantage of the feature throughout your time in the Living Lands.

Elden Ring Nightreign – Best Ways To Farm Runes
Elden Ring Nightreign – Best Ways To Farm Runes
Runes are the key to going on successful expeditions in Elden Ring Nightreign. They are required to level up your character every time you go on a new expedition, and you can also use them to purchase useful items during your runs, such as Smithing Stones. However, despite the constant need for runes in Nightreign, your sources for getting them are pretty limited. You can kill enemies and bosses, open chests, and that’s about it.
Fortunately, there are some tips and tricks that you’ll want to know about Nightreign rune farming. This allows you to level up to the fullest extent for expedition boss fights and perhaps buy some crucial items before those fights.
How to get Runes in Elden Ring Nightreign
First off, let’s talk about the basic process of acquiring runes in Nightreign. Like in the original Elden Ring, you acquire runes every time an enemy or boss dies. When they die, the runes are automatically added to your total stack, which you can track by looking at the top part of your screen or in your inventory.
Runes can be spent at Merchant Kale’s shop.
In addition to killing enemies and bosses, you can also loot some chests, dead bodies, and other containers in the Living Lands to have a chance at acquiring runes. However, this isn’t nearly as surefire a method as killing enemies, so you don’t want to rely on it too much.
Unlike in the original Elden Ring, there’s no way for you to sell items for runes at a shop. The most common shop you’ll find on the map is Merchant Kale’s, and while you can buy items from him, there’s no option to sell any weapons or items that you’ve accumulated in exchange for runes.
So, as you can see, the ways to get runes in Elden Ring Nightreign are fairly limited. Fortunately, there are some methods you can take advantage of so you can have as many runes as possible by the end of an expedition.
Best ways to get Runes in Elden Ring Nightreign
You receive runes for killing any enemy, but the stronger the enemy is, the more runes you receive.
While Elden Ring Nightreign is primarily a three-player co-op game, that doesn’t mean you have to continually stick with your teammates after you’re dropped on the map. Once you’re all on the map together, there are no rules governing where you can go and whether you need to stay near your teammates or not.
In Nightreign, every time your teammates kill an enemy or boss, the runes they receive are also added to your total rune stack. This means if all three members of your party split up and start killing different enemies and bosses, you will all receive extra runes that you normally wouldn’t get if you stuck together to kill the same enemies.
Of course, you want to be smart about splitting up, as it’s very easy to die if you’re alone without teammates to help out. The best way to go about splitting up for extra runes is to take on large groups of enemies and stay away from the larger bosses until you’ve leveled up a decent amount. During this initial process, you’ll also want to ensure that you’re going in the right direction and picking up all of your extra Healing Flask Charges so you can stay healthy for longer. Use our guide on where to go first in Nightreign to make the most of the early-game opportunities.
After you have a solid number of runes and you’ve leveled up a few times, you can start challenging some bosses before the first night comes to an end. You can either choose to do this solo or perhaps join back with one other teammate to fight a boss while the third party member continues to kill smaller enemies for extra runes.
Fighting bosses offers the most possible runes.
Once the first night is nearing its close, your entire party will be forced into a small area on the map by the toxic gas. Here, you’ll have to challenge a boss or bosses together to make it to the next day. If you accomplish that, then you’ll start over and can repeat the same process you just did to earn more runes so you’re fully ready for the expedition boss fight.
Aside from that, there’s not really another consistently fast way to farm runes in Elden Ring Nightreign. You want to maximize how many enemies and bosses you and your teammates kill, and the only way to do that is to split up so you’re all earning runes from different enemy kills. You need to decide as a group when the right time to start killing bosses is, which offer runes as well as valuable loot that you’ll want to have for the final boss fights.
If you can’t communicate with your teammates, then try to head out by yourself and not worry about what the other two party members are doing. As long as you and your teammates are getting runes in some capacity, you should have plenty to level up enough times and buy any items you need for the rest of the expedition.

California freight forwarder charged with smuggling billions in goods
California freight forwarder charged with smuggling billions in goods
Executives at a Los Angeles freight forwarding company smuggled billions of dollars in goods into Mexico from the U.S. for over a decade in a lucrative scheme involving drug cartels and corrupt customs agents, federal prosecutors say.
Ralph Olarte, 55, and Humberto Lopez Belmonte, 53, used “fraudulent documents, shell companies, bribes to public officials, and kickbacks to ******** cartels” in the scheme, which lasted from at least 2013 to 2024, according to the 22-count indictment against Olarte, Lopez and their company, Sport LA Inc., in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Olarte, a U.S. citizen, and Lopez, a citizen of Mexico, allegedly hid the nature of the goods as well as the identities of the actual recipients from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Among items originating in the U.S. and exported to Mexico or funneled through the U.S. from other countries and then to Mexico were contraband including counterfeit cell phone batteries and medical devices, as well as goods that required licenses, such as handguns, ammunition, electronic cigarettes and **********, the indictment states. ******** shell companies received the goods.
The defendants avoided paying hundreds of millions of dollars in duties owed to the ******** government by bribing ******** customs officials, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
They used WhatsApp to direct truck drivers into specific ******** customs lanes where officials who had been bribed were assigned. The agents permitted the trucks to enter Mexico without paying duties, the indictment alleges.
The defendants then smuggled large amounts of cash from payment for the goods into the U.S., which they laundered through the ******** shell companies and back to the shipping companies they controlled.
“Throughout the conspiracy, defendants OLARTE and LOPEZ wired, and caused to be wired, tens of millions of dollars from the shell consignee accounts to the HRL defendants,” according to the indictment. Both men allegedly received millions of dollars in the scheme.
Sport LA Inc. was a bonded freight carrier that did business as HRL, H&R Logistics and under other names. Lopez was CEO and secretary, and Olarte was chief financial officer. Bonded carriers are permitted to ship goods through the United States to other countries.
Kickbacks to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and other cartels allowed the defendants to continue operations, and contacts in ******** law enforcement ensured the goods reached their intended destinations, prosecutors say.
The charges range from conspiracy to commit money laundering to smuggling goods from the United States to submitting false and misleading export information.
Lopez pleaded not guilty on Tuesday, the day he was arrested, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. A July 21 trial date was scheduled, and he was ordered released on a $100,000 bond. It was not immediately clear whether Olarte, who was also arrested on Tuesday, had entered a plea.
If convicted, Olarte and Lopez face up to 20 years in federal prison for each count related to wire fraud and money laundering, up to five years for each count related to smuggling and making false statements, and up to two years for each count of knowingly submitting false and misleading export information.
Mark Werksman, Lopez’s lawyer, told Courthouse News Service that Lopez denies the accusations.
“We look forward to defending against these charges in court, and we’re confident that a jury will agree that Mr. Lopez, his co-workers and his company did nothing wrong,” Werksman said.
Homeland Security Investigations, CBP, IRS Criminal Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration are involved in the investigation.

Elden Ring Nightreign Recluse Class Guide And Combos
Elden Ring Nightreign Recluse Class Guide And Combos
Elden Ring Nightreign’s Recluse puts a unique spin on FromSoft’s magic builds. She’s a self-sufficient magic caster who can maintain her own FP without using items and whose spell choice determines what additional abilities she can use. There’s an additional layer of challenge with her Magic ********* that relies almost entirely on random luck with item drops, though, so even with good planning and skill, you might not be able to make full use of her kit in every expedition.
Our Elden Ring Nightreign Recluse guide explains how to play Recluse and lists all her Magic ********* combinations. Be sure to also check out our look at the best Elden Ring Nightreign classes.
Recluse abilities and starting armaments
The Recluse is the only character who can recover FP.
The Recluse’s kit is, unsurprisingly, built around magic and absorbing elemental affinities to cast stronger spells. Magic ********* is the most important part of the Recluse’s skillset, as it restores her FP and gives her access to a broad variety of offensive and support spells, from fiery explosions to auras that raise everyone’s maximum HP.
Magic ********* and Elemental Defense
This is the Recluse’s standard art. Use it when an elemental stain is present to absorb that element and recover FP. The Recluse stores three elemental stains, and when she uses Magic ********* with three stains, she casts a new spell that changes depending on the stored elements used. Magic ********* has no cooldown timer, and you need to use it regularly to restore the Recluse’s FP so she can keep casting spells.
Soulblood Song
Soulblood Song is the Recluse’s ultimate art. She attaches blood sigils to all nearby foes and deals magic damage to them. Allies–including the Recluse–who attack enemies with blood sigils will restore their HP and FP by a small amount with each attack.
Magic dodge
This isn’t a named ability, but the Recluse’s dodge has a slightly longer window of evasion compared to the standard dodge the other Nightfarers get.
The most important thing about Magic *********, aside from learning its combos, is that the Recluse can absorb elemental stains from sources other than her own spells. If, for example, a teammate has a fire bow and attacks an enemy with it, it’ll create a fire stain you can absorb.
The Recluse begins an expedition with a single weapon, the Recluse’s Staff. It’s a basic sorcery staff that lets her cast Glintstone Pebble, which is good for single targets, and Glintstone Arc, which can hit groups of enemies and potentially knock them backward. It’s a humble set of spells, but the fully upgraded versions still make a dent in the HP bar of strong enemies.
All Magic ********* combos
Every combo benefits the party, even if some of them don’t deal damage.
The number of stacks is irrelevant except in cases where we specify otherwise. For example, the floating fireball spell works whether you have two fire and one standard or two standard and one fire.
Another point worth keeping in mind is that, like with other spells, Recluse combos take a second or two to cast. Make sure you have a safe space to cast them in, without a boss bearing down on you.
Three standard: Creates a swirl of magic that damages enemies at intervals
Three fire: Launches a spiralling bolt of fire at a target that explodes on impact. Has short range
Three lightning: Lightning quickstep, similar to the Quickstep Ash of War in Elden Ring
One standard, one fire, one lightning: Builds energy for a few seconds and damages nearby foes, then explodes and deals heavy damage. Has a short range of effect
Standard and fire: Creates a floating ball of fire that hovers around a single target and deals fire damage before exploding and causing heavier fire damage
Standard and lightning: Charges for a second, then unleashes an arc of lightning-infused magic that speeds toward a target
Fire and lightning: Rushes forward as a bolt of lightning and crashes down at a target, creating a small explosion of fire
One holy, one lightning, one standard: Encases self in an ice crystal and causes an ice storm in a broad area for several seconds. Generates ice explosion when the storm ends
One holy, one lightning, one fire: Calls down brilliant white lightning that electrifies the ground and explodes after several seconds. The explosion leaves burning ground behind
One standard, one holy, one fire: Breathe holy fire in a wide arc on front of you
Holy and fire: Creates a field that increases max HP for all inside it
Holy and lightning: Creates a shield that deflects attacks without consuming stamina or requiring an equipment slot
Holy and standard: Creates a field that lets you use skills, sorcery, and Incantations without spending FP
Best weapons, magic, and Incantations for Recluse
The Recluse’s ultimate art helps the party recover their health.
Putting together a specific build for the Recluse is more difficult than with other characters, since you have fewer places to look for guaranteed staves, seals, and magic drops. Our guide for where to find magic and Incantations has specifics about where to look.
The ideal scenario is one where you find lightning, fire, and holy spells, so you have the full range of Magic ********* combinations available to use. The easiest-to-use ones are:
Flame Sling
Lightning Spear
Discus of Light
All three have comparatively short casting times, and you can charge them for extra damage. Zamoor Ice Storm is another powerful sorcery, though it’s rare, and you can end up with good results from any of the dragon communion Incantations. The drawback with using those is how long they take to cast and how difficult it is to target quick enemies with them. The best time to use a dragon breath Incantation is while a boss is immobile during a critical hit or if their attention is occupied elsewhere.
If you can’t find the spells you want, it’s worth keeping one or two weapons with elemental affiliations on hand. The Recluse isn’t built for using greatswords and hammers, but a twinblade, dagger, whip, or sword with a useful affinity lets you use a wider variety of Magic *********’s combos even without magic.
Best relics for Recluse
Spells have lengthy cast times, so make sure you have enough space between you and your target to cast them safely.
Like with weapons, the random nature of finding relics makes it challenging to recommend a combination that might be useful to anyone. However, there are a few Recluse-specific relics and boss remembrances that suit them well.
Grand Tranquil Scene
[Recluse] Suffer blood loss and increase attack power upon ultimate art activation
Mind +2
Intelligence +2
This one is risky, since blood loss takes a chunk of your HP at once. Only use your ultimate when it’s safe, and make sure to attack quickly and frequently to restore your health afterward. The Recluse-specific Grand Tranquil Scene is particularly useful when used with other gems or passives that buff you when blood loss occurs.
Vestige of Night
[Recluse] Collecting affinity (absorbing stains with Magic *********) creates Terra Magica where you’re standing
Magic Attack Power +2
Vestige of Night comes from the Recluse’s remembrance quests, and Terra Magica increases the power of sorceries cast while the Recluse is inside the field.
For other gems, you want to focus on these stats:
Mind (for more FP)
Increased intelligence or faith
Improved stamina or stamina recovery
Any other gem that improves intelligence, mind, or faith is worth using, even if their other buffs and stats do little for the Recluse.

Elden Ring Nightreign Ironeye Class Guide
Elden Ring Nightreign Ironeye Class Guide
The Ironeye class in Elden Ring Nightreign is the archer of the group, focused on dealing ranged damage. Armed with a bow, Ironeye is one of the few characters that can stand back to deal damage, making him extremely useful in tough boss fights. The Ironeye also has the best ability in the game, making him one of the S-Tier classes on our Elden Ring Nightreign classes tier list.
Picking the right class for your playstyle or the best class to fit with your teammates’ choices can be tough. With Elden Ring Nightreign being so challenging, it’s hard to just pick up a class and figure it out. This guide covers all of the Ironeye’s abilities, as well as the kind of Relics you should be on the lookout for. For more, check out GameSpot’s Elden Ring Nightreign guides hub.
How the Ironeye class works in Elden Ring Nightreign
Ironeye’s Marking ability creates a red X on enemies, which deals extra damage if broken.
The Ironeye class excels with bows and other Dexterity focused weapons, like Claws, although you will want to stick with a ranged weapon when possible. While the base damage of Ironeye isn’t great, you will want to avoid greatbows, which are too slow to use in Elden Ring Nightreign outside of special circumstances. The ranged weaponry allows you to deal damage while an enemy is focused on one of your teammates, and you can revive people from a safe distance. Ironeye can also mark enemies, which deals a ton of additional damage and makes up for the weak main attacks.
Ironeye also has some incredibly powerful abilities, which we have detailed below:
Passive Ability: Eagle Eye
This passive ability will occasionally cause additional items to drop from enemies or allow an additional choice from bosses.
Character Skill: Marking
Marking is a short dash that adds a red pinwheel-shaped “mark” to enemies hit with it. This creates a temporary weak point on the enemy, which deals a ton of extra damage if you attack and break it before it goes away.
Ultimate Art: Single Shot
Ironeye’s massive ultimate attack is a large bow shot, which creates a wind tunnel effect. Not only does this deal a ton of damage and stagger most enemies, it can also be used to revive teammates quickly.
The Ironeye is a huge boon to any squad, thanks to the ability to create weak points to deal extra damage, and to deal damage and revive teammates from a ranged position.
Best relics for Ironeye
Ironeye might not be a powerhouse damage-dealer by himself, but his Marking ability can help your teammates deal even more damage.
While Relics roll with random stats, making it difficult to recommend specific ones, we have a few to point you in the right direction. For Ironeye, the starting Relic holder, Ironeye’s Urn, holds one yellow, two green. Ironeye’s Goblet, which can be bought from the Small Jar Bazaar, holds a red, blue, and yellow.
Old Pocket Watch
Obtained from the Small Jar Bizarre, the Old Pocketwatch provides a nice early game boost for Ironeye, offering extra Dexterity and FP restoration on successive attacks.
Polished Tranquil Scene
The Polished Tranquil Scene can roll with increased stamina and increased physical attack. That physical attack boost also applies to Ironeye abilities, so it’s worth throwing on there.
As for buffs and stats, buffs for successive attacks and increased damage, either from physical boosts or Dexterity boosts, are good to look for. For additional tips, we have guides covering how to revive teammates faster, the best ways to farm runes, and how to break statues for some vital loot.

CBS News poll: Economy views better than winter, but Americans feel concern more than secure about finances
CBS News poll: Economy views better than winter, but Americans feel concern more than secure about finances
Summer begins with Americans’ economy ratings continuing to get a bit brighter than they were this winter — though still not good — with their outlook more mixed. But feelings of financial concern and stress are more prevalent than feelings of being secure.
With a big majority still saying their incomes don’t keep pace with inflation, prices and finances of course play a big role in how Americans decide what their summer plans will be. And that, too, helps define two different outlooks heading into the season.
Slightly more Americans say they’ll take a vacation this summer than report taking one in 2024. Most likely to take a vacation are the just-over half who say they’re at least doing OK financially and can keep up with expenses. (For the higher income earners among them especially, summer will also involve travel.)
But for those who say their finances are not good, it continues to be largely because of prices and incomes not keeping up with inflation. They’re largely forgoing any vacation or travel.
In all, feelings about finances span a range and most report feeling things from stress and concern to security and optimism at least once in a while. But Americans describe feeling concern or stress even more often these days, rather than feeling secure or content. That’s especially the case among those whose personal financial situation isn’t good.
Ratings of the economy remain net-negative overall — this has been the case for years — but lately they have been ticking up off the dips they saw in late winter, February and March.
Outlook and direction remains mixed, and with more negativity than positivity. But relatively fewer today are planning as if the country is headed for outright recession, as said so last month; opinion has shifted toward expectations of a slowdown, but not recession.
In a different study consumer confidence was also reported to have rebounded lately.
Those in comparably lower income levels report feeling stress about finances more often. Stress and concern go up with feeling less secure in a job (for those employed.) Concern about monthly ability to pay for food and groceries is strongly associated with more frequent feelings of stress. Conversely, feelings of being secure or optimistic financially are linked to confidence in being able to save, buy extras and pay for the basics.
People for whom the stock market matters to their finances report less frequent feelings of stress. The market has had volatility over recent months, but those invested also have higher incomes, and report less concern about paying for day to day items to begin with.
Summer plans
As summer begins, one way Americans traditionally try to alleviate stress, of course, is a vacation or getaway. But access to that, too, splits on financial lines.
For the just over half of Americans who say their financial situation is good, most plan to take a vacation of some form this summer, and most of those will also involve travel.
Large majorities, often even if their finances are ok, say their incomes are not keeping pace with inflation, and this generally hasn’t changed over time.
For the bulk of people who do travel, summer means a road trip. It’s far and away the main way they’ll travel. (Though on balance, people who say their financial situation is bad say they’ll take fewer car trips than last summer.)
Peoples’ assessment of the direction of gas prices is mixed and not very different than it was in March.
Americans are more likely to expect their summer to be exciting rather than boring. And yet, for all the attention it gets, summer doesn’t rate as Americans’ favorite season. That’s fall.
This CBS News/YouGov survey was conducted with a nationally representative sample of 2,216 U.S. adults interviewed between May 26-29, 2025. The sample was weighted to be representative of adults nationwide according to gender, age, race, and education, based on the U.S. Census American Community Survey and Current Population Survey, as well as 2024 presidential vote. The margin of error is ±2.6 points.

‘He’s here’: Moment irate local confronts housemate of missing teen Pheobe Bishop as he sleeps in car with dog
‘He’s here’: Moment irate local confronts housemate of missing teen Pheobe Bishop as he sleeps in car with dog
One of the housemates of missing teenager Pheobe Bishop has been confronted by an angry local in his car in regional Queensland.
Pheobe Bishop, 17, was living with two housemates at a property in **** ****, southwest of Bundaberg, when she was last seen on May 15.
The teenager intended to fly from Bundaberg to Brisbane before catching another flight to Perth to see her boyfriend, but she failed to board her flight.

Her flatmates, Tanika Bromley and her partner James Wood, told detectives they drove Pheobe to Bundaberg Airport in a grey Hyundai ix35 for her 8.30am flight; however, police believe the teenager never reached the airport as she failed to check-in.
Ms Bromley and Mr Wood have since been charged with unrelated offences after the Hyundai was seized by police and their house was declared a crime scene.

During the search of the Hyundai, police allegedly uncovered a stash of weapons, including a shortened firearm, two replica handguns and ammunition.
Ms Bromley now faces charges including possessing or acquiring restricted items, unlawful possession of weapons, and two counts of failing to hold the required authority to possess explosives.
Mr Wood, 34, was also charged with one count each of unlawful possession of weapons and unauthorised possession of explosives, and was issued with a notice to appear a Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 13.
Authorities have confirmed there is no indication the weapons charges are linked to the missing person case.
No-one has been charged in connection to the teenager’s disappearance.
On Thursday afternoon, Wood was spotted sleeping in his car in a carpark while his house remains a declared crime scene.

Footage posted to social media captures the irate local, outside the car, shouting at him while using an umbrella to prod him awake through the driver’s window.
“He’s here, he’s hiding here,” she is heard shouting in the footage.
“I think there’s a dead dog in the car.”
The 34-year-old, who has dyed his hair and beard blonde, is sleeping inside the car, with an alive dog in the back seat.

The 35-year-old has been seen in his car in other areas of Bundaberg, including a Hungry Jack’s drive-through and car park with his dog, while his home is forensically examined.
The teenager’s flatmate was last seen on Wednesday at Bundaberg Magistrates Court in support of his partner Ms Bromley, who made an appearance at court as part of her bail conditions.

Is It Worth $28,700? My In-Depth Guide to Its Upsides & Downsides
2025 Toyota Camry: Is It Worth $28,700? My In-Depth Guide to Its Upsides & Downsides originally appeared on Autoblog.
Ol’ reliable returns
Since 1983, the Toyota Camry has sold over 21 million units worldwide. In the U.S, approximately 13 million Camrys have been sold, making it one of the top 10 most popular vehicles on the planet. One of the main reasons may be its combination of legendary reliability, packaging, and overall performance. Unlike previous generations, the 2025 Toyota Camry is only available with a hybrid powertrain and all-wheel drive (AWD). It has always been a smart buy, but competition from models like the Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata is growing fierce. Sales have also declined slightly due to the popularity of crossovers and SUVs. The question is: Can the new powertrain and styling keep the Toyota Camry competitive?

Reason to love it #1: It’s more attractive than before

Despite being based on the same XV80 (TNGA GA-K) platform as its predecessor, the 2025 Toyota Camry features an updated exterior design with a futuristic front-end design based on the new Toyota Prius. Many agree that this new styling theme is cleaner and helps modernize the feel of the Camry.
That choice helped Toyota back away from its unnecessary and overblown grill design, which is beneficial. While the profile is the same, the rear also gets a new design, getting rid of the odd tear duct lines from the previous generation’s tail lights. Altogether, the new Camry is a bit easier on the eyes. That’s especially true when you load it up with the fancy wheels from the XLE package.
2025 Toyota Camry XSEToyota
Reason to love it #2: Comfort and convenience
Like the previous Camry, interior comfort is a priority. Updated seating surfaces, even in the base model, help elevate the comfort of all of the passengers. Dual-zone climate control and rear vents for the passengers are standard, too. Legroom and headroom are at or near the best-in-class, and the higher-end trims’ leather, heated seats, heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, and acoustic-laminated glass are nice additions. There’s also 15.1 cubic feet of trunk space, which is on par with the class.
2025 Toyota Camry XSEToyota
Reason to love it #3: Power and efficiency
The 2025 Toyota Camry only comes with a hybrid powertrain, and the V6 and gas I4 are no longer in production. The front-wheel-drive (FWD) model comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine connected to two electric motors, which gives you 225 horsepower combined. AWD models add a third electric motor, which gives you a combined total of 232 hp.
All Camrys come with a planetary gearset that acts as a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It’s one of the more powerful vehicles in its class, while maintaining some of the best gas mileage. At the top of the MPG ratings, the Camry LE is EPA-rated at 52 mpg combined. At the lower end, the XSE AWD Camry is rated at 44 mpg combined.

Reason to love it #4: AWD changes everything
Toyota has mastered the AWD system in their hybrids by building an all-electric rear end. Simply put, Toyota eliminated the need for a transfer case, clutch, driveshaft, or any mechanical device to send power to the rear axle. The motor in the rear activates automatically during low-traction situations and improves performance with no need for driver input. The penalty for AWD is about 1 mpg, but the gain (aside from the obvious) is an additional 7 horsepower.
2025 Toyota Camry XSEToyota
Reason to love it #5: Tech across the board
As I mentioned earlier, all new Toyota Camrys are available as hybrids. Additionally, they come standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wireless charging capabilities. Base trim Camrys get an 8.0-inch display while higher trims get a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. The Camry also comes standard with a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster for the LE and SE models and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster in the XLE and XSE trims.
2025 Toyota Camry XSEToyota
Reason to love it #6: For the price, it’s a winning combination
There are four Camry trims, with the base model LE starting at $28,700 and the SE starting at $31,000. Going up to the XLE will cost $33,700, and the top-of-the-line XSE starts at $34,900. AWD adds $1,523 on the LE, and $1,525 on the other trims. Still, for what you’re paying for, the Camry gives you a hell of a lot of bang for your buck.
2025 Toyota Camry SEToyota
Reason to think twice #1: You can feel some of the cost-cutting
If you opt for the lower trims, some people get the sense that they are driving a not-so-premium vehicle. The tiny screen and the use of thin plastics in certain areas don’t help. Sure, the higher-end Camrys have very nice seats and a great-looking dash, but there are some hints that this car was built on a budget. Even with the acoustic-laminated glass on the higher trim models, there is a bit of road noise that enters the cabin.
2025 Toyota Camry XSEToyota
Reason to think twice #2: Total lack of passion
Toyota ditched its brilliant 301 hp 3.5-liter V6, which, when combined with the TRD performance package upgrade, made for a fun Camry. I know, the word “fun” and “Camry” are rarely placed in the same sentence, but it was true – that car was a hoot to drive. While it’s still plenty quick, that old “zing” is lost. The steering is totally synthetic in feel, too, and the car’s swagger largely comes in the XSE trim, which bears a steep price.
2025 Toyota Camry XSE AWDToyota
Reason to think twice #3: Major drop in performance when you get the bling
Remember when I mentioned the XSE comes with a “steep price?” That isn’t just the financial premium. You see, the XSE package comes with sporty-looking 19-in. smoked gray and ******-finished alloy wheels, a cool-looking spoiler, and lots of leather inside. Not only do those goodies add additional rolling mass to the wheels and extra heft to the curb weight, but it’s a massive penalty when it comes to efficiency and overall performance. So, the cooler you look, the lower your performance. Bummer.
Toyota

Final thoughts
Sure, it’s easy to nitpick the new Camry, but it is still an excellent ride considering what it is. Few can argue that there is another vehicle that can go toe-to-toe with it. Sure, others may be nicer, more powerful, or more efficient, but the combination of pricing, available AWD, and the overall packaging of the Camry has yet to be matched.

How cruel miss proved Behich’s sliding doors moment
How cruel miss proved Behich’s sliding doors moment
The brutal miss Aziz Behich thought might define a short career is instead the blessing in disguise that set him on the path to something special.
A 19-year-old Behich had the chance to score a desperately late winner for Melbourne Victory against Sydney FC in the 2009-10 grand final.
But instead of heading or kicking the ball into goal from close range, he attempted to chest it home – and missed.
Victory ultimately lost the game via a penalty shootout and Behich was among the players cut at season’s end.
It could have broken Behich. Instead, he went back to the Victorian state league with Green Gully, got another shot at Melbourne Heart, now City, and kicked off a remarkable career for club and country as a left-back.
Fifteen years later, he’ll captain City against Victory in Saturday’s decider at AAMI Park.
“I was a young kid. I didn’t even have a professional contract at the time,” Behich told AAP.
“So when I look back at that, I look at it with a positive mindset, because the way my parents taught me was one door closes, another opens.
“It was a blessing in disguise and a door closed, that chapter closed. Then Melbourne Heart gave me that opportunity.
“So I thank God every day that that did happen. Because I don’t know where my career (would have) took a turn there if things went the other way.
“So I don’t look at that in any bad or good way. I just take it as it was an experience, I was a young kid, and I’m grateful for what Heart did for me at the time and gave me another chance.
“At the time of being a young kid, you do think: ‘Oh, my God, the world’s come crashing down on me.’
“But when I look back at it now, it’s all part of the journey and my story.”
The journey since has been incredible for Behich, who is cool, calm and collected off the field and a fiercely competitive winner with white line fever on it.
Behich, 34, has been a Socceroos mainstay, played at two World Cups, is attempting to reach a third, and won the 2015 Asian Cup.
He has played against Lionel Messi, been club teammates with Cristiano Ronaldo and experienced both the European and Asian Champions Leagues – along with pumping stadiums and a Super Lig title in Turkey.
But leading City to a grand-final triumph would be a special way to come full circle.
“It’d be up there, definitely,” he said.
“I don’t want to think too far ahead. I’ve never done that in my career.
“But if I was to think about it, even if I wasn’t captain, just to win something with the club that I love so much would mean everything to me.”

What to know about the new JetBlue-United partnership
What to know about the new JetBlue-United partnership
JetBlue and United Airlines on Thursday unveiled a partnership that will allow customers to apply bonus miles and loyalty benefits across the two airlines, while paving the way for the resumption of United flights at New York City’s John F. Kennedy airport.
Loyalty rewards to be applicable across JetBlue and United will affect benefits like priority boarding, complimentary access to preferred seats and same-day flight changes, the two airlines said in a joint statement.
The partnership, dubbed “Blue Sky,” will also afford customers the use of bonus miles for flight offerings across both airlines, expanding the travel network available to passengers.

Meanwhile, United will gain access to as many as seven daily round-trip flights from JFK airport beginning in 2027. The company last offered flights from the airport in 2022.
“This collaboration with United is a bold step forward for the industry – one that brings together two customer-focused airlines to deliver more choices for travelers and value across our networks,” JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty said in a statement.
Under the agreement, each airline will offer flights on the other company’s website. The firms will independently oversee and price their respective flights, however, the joint statement said.
“Blue Sky reflects our airlines’ shared focus on innovation and the customer experience,” United CEO Scott Kirby said in a statement.
The loyalty offerings and bonus-mile network are set to begin as soon as the fall, pending approval from regulators.
The partnership will provide United customers with greater access to flights in the Northeast, especially in Boston and New York, where JetBlue operates a combined 310 daily flights, according to the statement.
JetBlue customers, meanwhile, are set to gain access to hundreds of additional domestic and international flights, including dozens across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

JetBlue has struggled to compete with its larger counterparts, such as Delta, American and Southwest.
United controls about 16% of the U.S. airline market, while JetBlue accounts for roughly 4% of the market, U.S. Department of Transportation data shows.
Last month, JetBlue reported a loss of $208 million over a three-month ******* ending in March, which marked a smaller loss than the airline had suffered over the same quarter a year earlier. The company also withdrew its full-year guidance, saying it expected a continuation of soft demand.

United, by contrast, reported revenue of $13.2 billion over the first three months of 2025, marking an increase of 5% from the same ******* a year ago.
Speaking on an earnings call in January, Geraghty hinted at the possibility of a future agreement, saying JetBlue had opened conversations with “a number of carriers right now to discuss the potential for future partnership.”
In early trading on Thursday, shares of JetBlue fell about 2%. Shares of United jumped 1.7%.
