Digimon Story: Time Stranger Confirmed During PlayStation State Of Play
Digimon Story: Time Stranger Confirmed During PlayStation State Of Play
An unannounced Digimon game was leaked ahead of February’s PlayStation State of Play but, other than a title, not much was known. The game, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, was officially revealed during the presentation with a new trailer.
The latest entry in the RPG Digimon Story series that dates back to the first game on Nintendo DS in 2006, Time Stranger sees you travel through multiple worlds and times, collecting and training the digital monster companions you encounter for turn-based battles.
As seen in the new trailer, Time Stranger is set to release in 2025. The trailer only lists PS5 as a platform (likely because the trailer debuted during State of Play) but since the Digimon Story series has regularly been released for both Nintendo and PlayStation systems in the past, we imagine this game is heading to Switch as well.
Oddly, as spotted by Gematsu, GameStop has preorder listings for Digimon Story: Time Stranger for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so the game seems to be coming to Xbox as well. The series has never come out for Xbox but there’s a first time for everything.
Back in 2017, Bandai Namco producer Kazumasa Habu confirmed that a new Digimon Story game was in development, confirming 2018’s Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory would not be the last game in the series.
The last update we got from Habu was back during Digimon **** 2022, when he stated that the next Digimon Story game has a story themed around the Olympos XII, a group of 12 god-like Digimon, modeled after the real-life 12 Olympians.

Lost Soul Aside Slices And Dices At PlayStation State Of Play, Coming In May
Lost Soul Aside Slices And Dices At PlayStation State Of Play, Coming In May
Lost Soul Aside looks like it’s going to deliver some high-octane hacking and/or slashing when it launches this year on May 30, and the game got its time in the spotlight during the February PlayStation State of Play event.
The fast-paced trailer gave looks at the monsters invading the world, impressive traversal mechanics, and even giant Kaiju fights. The world is being invaded by monsters, which you will need to hack through, and–in some instances, as shown in the trailers–take down in intense one-on-one fights. Lost Soul Aside is blending sci-fi and fantasy, which the trailer shows off with a large variety of environments, from liminal dreamscapes to modern cities and even ancient ruins. The traversal shown uses some kind of nano bots to create platforms and wings.
Detailed in a PlayStation Blog post, the game will feature a large variety of weapons to use in its lightning-fast combat and will use the DualSense Haptic Triggers to add more feeling to every sword swing. The blog teases both close-range combat choices like swords, in addition to ranged bow options.
Developed by the Shanghai-based Ultizero Games, Lost Soul Aside was first announced back in 2022 and looks to blend fantasy and science-fiction elements with intense combat. We’ll see if the studio has succeeded when it releases on PS5 and PC on May 30. Check out our round-up of every announcement at the State of Play.

Israel seeks another extension for Lebanon withdrawal, source says
Israel seeks another extension for Lebanon withdrawal, source says
Israel is seeking another extension of the deadline for the withdrawal of its troops from southern Lebanon, a Western diplomatic source says, a request that is likely to raise new concerns in a country with a history of Israeli occupation.
Israeli forces had been due to pull out next week but the source told the BBC Israel wanted its military to stay in five positions there for another 10 days, till 28 February.
The ceasefire deal that ended 14 months of conflict between Israel and Hezbollah was brokered by the US and France and came into force on 27 November.
It requires the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon and the removal of Hezbollah fighters and weapons from there too.
At the same time, thousands of Lebanese soldiers were expected to be deployed to the region where, for decades, Hezbollah has been the dominant force.
The ceasefire has already been extended once – the initial deadline was 26 January – after Israel said the Lebanese state had not fully implemented the deal. Lebanon accused Israel of delaying its withdrawal.
One of the priorities of the new Lebanese government is to restore the country’s territorial sovereignty, and the authorities strongly reject another delay.
President Joseph Aoun insisted on Wednesday that there was “no truth” to reports that another extension had been agreed, his office said. He also “repeatedly stressed Lebanon’s insistence on the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops” by Tuesday.
The continued presence of Israeli troops is a source of concern for many in Lebanon as Israel occupied the country’s south for 18 years, between 1982 and 2000.
Despite the ceasefire, Israel has continued to target Hezbollah, and has vowed to carry out more attacks on the Iran-backed group to stop it from rearming or rebuilding its forces.
On Wednesday, Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier at low altitude over the capital Beirut for the first time since the ceasefire began.
Hezbollah, which is a militant, political and social movement, was severely weakened in the conflict with Israel, although it continues to enjoy significant support among Shia Muslims in Lebanon.
The ceasefire deal was widely considered as a surrender by the group, after it saw its infrastructure and weapons arsenal depleted, and hundreds of fighters and key figures killed, including long-time leader Hassan Nasrallah.
The conflict escalated last September, when Israel launched an intense air campaign across Lebanon, assassinated Hezbollah’s senior leaders and invaded southern Lebanon.
The offensive killed around 4,000 people in Lebanon – including many civilians – and led to the displacement of more than 1.2 million residents, Lebanese authorities say. It also caused billions of dollars in destruction and damage.
Israel’s stated goal in its war against Hezbollah was to allow the return of about 60,000 residents who had been displaced from communities in the country’s north because of the group’s rocket, mortar and drone attacks, and to remove its weapons and infrastructure from areas along the border.
Hezbollah had launched its campaign the day after the ****** attacks on southern Israel on 7 October 2023, saying it was acting in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

Borderlands 4 Release Date Announced, Coming In September
Borderlands 4 Release Date Announced, Coming In September
As part of Sony’s State of Play event, Gearbox announced a release date for Borderlands 4: September 23. The game will launch that day on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Take-Two, which owns Borderlands developer Gearbox, has said Borderlands 4 and Grand Theft Auto VI won’t be released close together. What that means is open to interpretation, but it’s safe to assume Take-Two wants to give both Borderlands 4 and GTA 6 some room to breathe.
GTA 6 is confirmed for release in Fall 2025. The first day of fall in the northern hemisphere is September 22. So if it’s true that Borderlands 4 and GTA 6 won’t be released close to each other, it can be assumed GTA 6 wouldn’t be released until October at the soonest. This is just guesswork, though. Anything is possible, and Take-Two’s own top boss has admitted GTA 6 could be delayed.
In other news about Borderlands 4, the game’s narrative director has said they don’t want Skibidi Toilet or Hawk Tuah jokes in the game, but it’s a safe assumption that the game’s narrative will feature humor.
Borderlands 4 will feature a seamless world and new movement mechanics that will “make it hard for players to go back,” according to creative director Graeme Timmins.
Beyond this, a terminally ill fan got to check out Borderlands 4 early, courtesy of a wish fulfilled by Gearbox. Caleb McAlpine thought “it was awesome” and thanked everyone for making the experience a possibility.

Warriors: Abyss, A Roguelike Warriors Game, Surprise Launches Today
Koei Tecmo announced during Sony’s February State of Play a new game in the Warriors franchise–and it’s releasing right away to boot. Warriors: Abyss is described as a roguelike take on the franchise, allowing you to develop your powers and call in iconic Warriors characters to defeat the hordes.
The gameplay trailer showed an isometric perspective to the action, but your warrior is still wiping out dozens of enemies at a time with massive attacks. This take on the franchise also has you descending into hell–a departure from the often historically-based stories of many Warriors games.

Trump Press Secretary Crashes and Burns When Trying to Prove Fraud
Trump Press Secretary Crashes and Burns When Trying to Prove Fraud
After allowing Elon Musk and his college-aged Department of Government Efficiency groupies to root around federal agencies for weeks, the Trump administration apparently still hasn’t uncovered any fraud or abuse.
During a press hearing on Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt waved around screenshots of “contracts upon contracts” that she claimed DOGE had “found” in the government. But as she ran through a list of the financial arrangements—some of which had to do with diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts from previous administrations—it became clear that the DOGE-targeted contracts didn’t constitute fraud but instead were simply “against the president’s policies and his America-first agenda.”
“Are all those things you just mentioned fraud? Or are they just contrary to the president’s policies?” pressed CBS News senior White House reporter Jennifer Jacobs.
“I would argue that all of these things are fraudulent,” Leavitt responded. “They are wasteful, and they are an abuse of the American taxpayer’s dollar. This is not what the government should be spending money on. They are contrary to the president’s priorities and agenda.”
Having federal line items that go against the grain of the president’s agenda doesn’t constitute fraud. Yet instead of providing legitimate receipts to back up that claim, Leavitt took the populist route, beckoning the American people to judge the media for daring to question Trump’s agenda. Leavitt further implored journalists to consider the Trump administration’s rationale, even though Musk has been granted free license to shrink federal oversight under the apparently faux banner of uprooting fraud.
“If anybody in here wants to argue that the federal government is not fraudulent, be my guest because I think that the American people at home would beg to differ,” Leavitt said.
So far, Musk’s team has gained access to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Education, Commerce, Defense, and Energy Departments, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and, among other agencies, the Federal Aviation Administration. (That last one comes during a ******* in which the U.S. has experienced an unprecedented uptick in critical aviation accidents, with four deadly crashes taking place since Trump took office. Before 2025, the last deadly ****** involving a U.S. airliner was in 2009).
Through all these agencies, Musk has extracted sensitive data on hundreds of millions of Americans, including their Social Security numbers, home addresses, and medical histories.

Hell is Us Release Date Confirmed at State of Play
Hell is Us Release Date Confirmed at State of Play
Hell is Us developers have confirmed the September 4, 2025 release date at PlayStation’s State of Play event.
Rogue Factor pulled up with a brand new trailer for Hell is Us along with the release date at PlayStation’s State of Play event. The release date trailer features glimpses of the game’s action and narrative sequences; check it out below.
Hell is Us is an upcoming third-person, semi-open world action-adventure focusing on melee combat and exploration. The world you step into is very hostile and is filled with supernatural creatures that any of the modern weapons cannot defeat. However, you have a drone and a sword from a different age to help cut down these fierce chimaeras.
The game is known for its unique exploration system. Players are placed in a virtual world without conventional navigation tools. They cannot use a map, compass, or quest markers; instead, they rely on their instincts to get ahead. This freedom extends to the narrative portion of the game, where players can make their own decisions.
In the previous gameplay trailer, Hell is Us developers revealed how players will use swords, spears, and axes against various game entities in melee battles while taking advantage of the drone’s capabilities. They also discussed different types of exploration mechanics, information trading, and other details.

Senators debate Trump’s plan to purchase Greenland
Senators debate Trump’s plan to purchase Greenland
WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 (UPI) — Following President Donald Trump’s call for the United States to acquire Greenland, U.S. senators coalesced Wednesday around the need to increase American influence on the Arctic island.
In a Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation hearing, they considered key reasons why acquiring Greenland would benefit the United States and its allies.
“Today, we’re here to talk about something that, just a few years ago, was treated as far-fetched, but has long been worth serious consideration: the U.S. acquiring Greenland,” said Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who chairs the committee.
“But given shifting global dynamics, the geopolitical importance of Greenland makes this conversation one we can no longer ignore,” Cruz said.
Some Democrats took issue with Trump’s desire to purchase Greenland, given that it has been a steadfast ally with Denmark.
Ranking Member Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., speaks at a Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation hearing on the Arctic and Greenland’s geostrategic importance to the United States in the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington on Wednesday. Photo by Annabelle Gordon/UPI
“Certainly, that’s why I find it troubling. That while our ally is aggressively and actively seeking increased partnership with the United States, we have President Trump, who insists on purchasing land that is, let’s be very clear, not for *****,” said Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich.
The debate about Greenland’s fate comes as the United States increasingly competes with Russia and China for influence over the Arctic and control over the Northwest Passage — the shipping route between the Atlantic and Pacific.
Alexander Gray, a senior fellow in national security affairs for the American Foreign Policy Council, testifies at a Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation hearing on Greenland in the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington on Wednesday. Photo by Annabelle Gordon/UPI
Although Trump’s plan to acquire Greenland demonstrated his unconventional approach to foreign policy, senators from both parties embraced how his attention to Greenland reflected the importance of the Arctic to the United States for security reasons and a source of natural resources.
Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., stressed that the United States must renew and recommit to an Arctic strategy that counters its adversaries and promotes national security.
Maps of Greenland are set out for members at a Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation hearing on the Arctic and Greenland’s “geostrategic importance” to the United States in the Russell Senate Office Building in Washington on Wednesday. Photo by Annabelle Gordon/UPI
“We are an Arctic nation, we have interests there and we need to continue to move forward,” Cantwell said.
Trump has repeatedly conveyed his interest in purchasing the territory, citing its geopolitical value and rich natural resources. Greenland’s wealth of minerals, which remain largely untapped, includes coal, gold, silver and a variety of other rare earth metals.
Senate committee members also highlighted the socioeconomic benefits they believe the acquisition would provide to the people of Greenland.
“For Greenlanders, there would be many benefits of becoming an American territory, including American citizenship, including billions of dollars of new American investment in Greenland that would raise the standard of living of the 50,000 Greenlanders there today,” Cruz said.
Greenland, an autonomous territory in the Kingdom of Denmark, is home to 56,000 people, with an extensive local government and two representatives in the Danish parliament.
As Trump seeks to acquire the island territory, Greenland and Denmark firmly declared that the island is not for ***** and never will be. The territory has a long history of staying independent from Denmark.
Miłosz J. Cordes, a research fellow at the Danish Foreign Policy Society, said the general public in Denmark had taken offense at Trump’s attempts to buy Greenland.
“When we look at it from Denmark’s perspective, Denmark has always, ever since 1945 or even earlier, based security on this very strong partnership with the United States,” Cordes said. “Some statements might come across as disturbing for many Danes, main Danish politicians, decision makers, but also the broader Danish public.”
However, witnesses such as Alexander Gray, a senior fellow in national security affairs for the American Foreign Policy Council, urged senators to exert more influence in Greenland.
“When Greenland inevitably obtains independence from Denmark, as their leaders again tell us that they will, who is going to greet them on the other side? Gray asked.
“Will it be Russia and China, with their history of predatory behavior in small developing states and their unwillingness to respect such state sovereignty? Or will it be the United States?”
When asked after the hearing if purchasing Greenland was something he believed to be plausible, Cruz said, “I think it’s quite realistic. I think [for] much of the history of the United States, we have had territorial acquisitions,
“I think there are enormous geopolitical reasons and economic reasons why it makes sense and brings enormous benefit to the Greenlanders.”

Navy fighter jet crashes near Shelter Island
Navy fighter jet crashes near Shelter Island
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Emergency crews are responding to reports of a military plane that crashed into the San Diego Bay near Shelter Island, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department Wednesday.
According to SDFD, the incident happened around 10:16 a.m. near 1561 Shelter Island Dr., close to the Kona Kai San Diego Resort and other neighboring businesses.
Military personnel have confirmed only two pilots were on the plane at the time. Authorities say both pilots on the plane have been rescued and were transported to UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest.
A U.S. Coast Guard spokesperson told FOX 5/KUSI both pilots were able to safely eject and were rescued by a fishing vessel after being in the water for just one minute.
The pilots were transferred to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations small boat that happened to be on scene when the ****** happened, the spokesperson added.
A U.S. Navy spokesperson stated the type of plane was an EA-18G Growler, not an F-18 as some previous reports speculated. The Coast Guard is re-enforcing the safety zone around the ****** site to keep other vessels away from the area.
Oil was observed seeping into the water of the San Diego Bay as crews attempted to recover the remains of the plane.
A FOX 5/KUSI crew is at the scene. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

Cisco (CSCO) Q2 earnings report 2025
Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins speaking on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” outside the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Jan. 22, 2025.
Gerry Miller | CNBC
Cisco shares climbed about 6% in extended trading on Wednesday after the networking hardware maker reported fiscal second-quarter results and guidance that topped Wall Street’s expectations.
Here’s how the company did against LSEG consensus:
Earnings per share: 94 cents adjusted vs. 91 cents expectedRevenue: $13.99 billion vs. $13.87 billion expected
Revenue increased 9% in the quarter, which ended on Jan. 25, from $12.79 billion a year earlier, according to a statement. The growth follows four quarters of revenue declines. The company said it had orders for artificial intelligence infrastructure that exceeded $350 million in the quarter.
Cisco now sees adjusted earnings of $3.68 to $3.74 for the 2025 fiscal year, with $56 billion to $56.5 billion in revenue. Analysts polled by LSEG had been looking for $3.66 in adjusted earnings per share and $55.99 billion in revenue. In November, the forecast was $3.60 to $3.66 in per-share earnings and $55.3 billion to $56.3 billion in revenue.
Net income in the latest ******* slid almost 8% to $2.43 billion, or 61 cents per share, from $2.63 billion, or 65 cents per share, a year ago.
Revenue from the networking division totaled $6.85 billion, down 3% but more than the $6.67 billion consensus among analysts surveyed by StreetAccount.
The security unit contributed $2.11 billion. That’s a 117% increase from a year earlier, thanks to the addition of Splunk. Analysts expected $2.01 billion, according to StreetAccount.
Splunk, which Cisco bought in March 2024 for $27 billion, was accretive to adjusted earnings per share sooner than planned, Scott Herren, Cisco’s finance chief, was quoted as saying in the statement. Cisco’s total revenue would have been down 1% year over year if not for Splunk’s contribution, according to the statement.
Many technology companies have been trying to predict the impact from President Trump’s newly established Department of Government Efficiency. But three-quarters of Cisco’s U.S. federal business comes from the Defense Department, while most of the headcount cutting thus far has occurred in other agencies, Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins said on a conference call with analysts.
“Everything seems to be progressing as we expected,” he said.
As of Thursday’s close, Cisco shares were up 5% so far in 2025, while the S&P 500 index had gained about 3%.

The new trailer shows off more of the movie’s visual presentation, which blends live-action shots of Jack ****** and Jason Momoa with CG-rendered depictions of Creepers and Villagers from the Minecraft universe.
How does it all come together? Check out the trailer and decide for yourself. If anything, the presentation style definitely catches your eye. There are a number of standout scenes, including when a Creeper explodes.
In addition to ****** and Momoa, the movie stars Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Hansen, and Jennifer Coolidge. Minecraft the game doesn’t have much of a story, but the film obviously does.
Four misfit characters–played by Momoa, Hansen, Myers, and Brooks–get sucked into a portal that takes them into Minecraft’s Overworld, where all kinds of wild stuff is happening. Their quest is to find a way to get home, and they have to work together to fight baddies like Piglins and Zombies. ****** plays the expert crafter Steve, who helps the crew on their journey.
Oscar-nominated director Jared Hess (Nacho Libre, Napoleon Dynamite) helmed the movie, with various staff from Minecraft developer Mojang serving as producers.
Prior to Hess coming aboard, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Rob McElhenney was attached to direct the Minecraft movie and got Warner Bros. to give him $150 million to make it. But after Warner Bros. had a leadership change, the new management didn’t want McElhenney’s movie. Before McElhenney, Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy was attached and he pitched a Goonies-style adventure film. Mojang vetoed the idea and Levy moved on.
Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer wrote the screenplay for A Minecraft Movie. The film is set for release on April 4, 2025.
A Minecraft Movie isn’t the only video game film coming out this April, as Sony’s Until Dawn movie arrives on April 25.
