Rockstar Details 9 of Grand Theft Auto VI’s Presumably Many, Many Characters
Rockstar Games surprise released a new trailer this morning for Grand Theft Auto VI (which was recently delayed to next year), but that’s not all it shared about the game today. Alongside the trailer, Rockstar overhauled the game’s website and added all kinds of new details about the the game’s locations and some of the characters you will meet in the game, including its protagonists.
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the aforementioned protagonists. Jason an army vet who works in the Keys for local drug runners, but wants to try something new. Lucia’s father trained her as a fighter her whole life and it was apparently fighting for her family that landed her in jail. But in both the GTA VI trailers, we see her regaining her freedom.
Brian Heder is the other character we see early in the trailer. He is an older gentleman that Jason apparently works for. Apparently he and his wife Lori manage the drug running business together. Though it was not confirmed in the trailer, Brian sounds like he is voiced by Stephen Root (Barry, King of the Hill).
Cal Hampton is also seen speaking periodically in the trailer. He is apparently a friend of Jason’s and also works for Brian. Though similarly not confirmed in the trailer, it sounds like he is voiced by Saturday Night Live‘s Bobby Moynihan.
Boobie Ike is a well-known and successful Vice City entrepreneur who built a number of legitimate businesses from his crime roots.
Dre’quan Priest is a musician who is “more of a ******** than a gangster” according to his bio.
Bae-Luxe and Roxy together go by Real Dimez. They are high school friends and are heavily invested in social media.
And finally, Raul Bautista is a charming and cunning bank robber.
There will be undoubtedly be many more characters in Grand Theft Auto VI when it releases May 26 of next year, but for now, this is a substantial look at who we can expect to meet in the game. Israel says it struck Yemen’s main airport in Sana’a
The Israeli military says it has fired on Yemen’s main airport and witnesses say there were four strikes in the capital Sana’a, the latest hostilities as tensions rise between Israel and Yemen’s Houthi rebels.
Israel had earlier warned people to leave the area around Sana’a International Airport, one day after Israeli forces carried out air strikes on Hodeidah port in Yemen in response to a Houthi missile landing near Israel’s main air hub on Sunday.
“Not evacuating puts you in danger,” the Israeli military said in its warning and it published a map of the area surrounding the airport.
Three airport sources told Reuters that Tuesday’s strikes targeted three civilian air planes, the departures hall, the airport runway and a military air base under Houthi control.
Tensions have been rising between Israel and the Houthi rebels as the group presses on with attacks in response to Israel expanding its military operations in the Gaza Strip.
The Houthis said on Sunday they would impose a “comprehensive” aerial blockade on Israel by repeatedly targeting its airports.
The Israelis strikes around Hodeidah on Monday killed four people and wounded 39, the Houthi-run health ministry said.
There was no immediate word of casualties in Tuesday’s hostilities.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to retaliate after a missile launched by Houthis landed near Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport, which led to European and United States airlines cancelling flights.
The Houthis have been firing at Israel and shipping in the Red Sea since the beginning of the war between Israel and ****** in the Gaza Strip, in what they say is solidarity with the Palestinians.

This group of stocks offers a ‘trade war shield,’ says BCA Research
Investors seeking safety from current trade war volatility might consider betting on cybersecurity stocks, according to BCA Research. Uncertainty stemming from the Trump administration’s tariff rollout has roiled markets in recent weeks, sending the S & P 500 down nearly 20% its all-time high reached in February at one point. But promises of easing trade tensions sent the benchmark back up 13% since April 8, and it is now down just 5% on the year. Still, a lack of progress signs has left many investors hesitant to trust the mid-April rebound. In a recent note, BCA Research offered a solution to investors looking for a volatility hedge: cybersecurity stocks. “It is a domestically focused service industry that offers a more defensive profile and a lower market beta than the rest of the tech sector,” wrote chief strategist Irene Tunkel. “It is less exposed to tariffs than other industries and, if anything, benefits from geopolitical tensions as customers seek protection from international cyberattacks and cybercrime.” BUG YTD mountain BUG year to date Going forward, the long-term investment thesis for the industry remains intact due to cyberattacks rising in frequency and sophistication. The increasing adoption of generative AI, machine learning and quantum computing should also contribute to more necessary comprehensive cyber defense solutions, Tunkel added. Cybersecurity — which Tunkel called a “trade war shield” — remains relatively tariff-proof since it is a predominantly service industry. Fundamentals have also been improving, since companies have been shifting their focus from capital expenditures spending to placing more emphasis on increasing their bottom-line efficiency and profitability. Tunkel added that a recent pullback means that valuations have compressed to more reasonable levels, opening up an attractive entry point for investors. While Tunkel did not highlight specific stocks, she pointed to three ETFS that provide exposure to the cybersecurity space: First Trust NASDAQ Cybersecurity ETF (CIBR) : up 6% year to date, outpacing the S & P 500. The fund charges 0.59% in fees and has $8.5 billion in assets. Global X Cybersecurity ETF (BUG) : up 6% in 2025; has an expense ratio of 0.51%. The fund has $1.05 billion in assets. Amplify Cybersecurity ETF (HACK) : 2% higher this year; charges 0.6% in fees. The fund has nearly $2 billion in assets.

While the Holden Captiva left the new car scene in 2018, the nameplate has soldiered on overseas, and is now entering its third generation.
Whereas the original Captiva was developed by GM Korea, and sold by a variety of brands, including Daewoo, Chevrolet, Opel, and Holden, subsequent generations were engineered by SAIC-GM-Wuling, a joint venture between the General and MG’s parent company, which makes and markets vehicles under the Baojun and Wuling marques.
The second-generation Chevrolet Captiva is sold primarily in Latin America, the Middle East, and south-east Asia, and is a rebadged version of the Baojun 530. As an interesting aside, the 530 is also sold as the MG Hector in India.

For the third iteration of the Captiva, which was announced a week or so ago by GM Brazil, the company is affixing bow tie badges to the Wuling Starlight S.
Chevrolet Brazil has been pretty quiet regarding the new Captiva EV’s specifications and overall design, only releasing a video and a few photos of the car coming off a cargo ship.
Compared to the Starlight S, the new Captiva EV has a unique front bumper with a fake grille linking together the driving light eyebrows, as well as a larger lower air intake surround. At the rear, the Chevrolet’s only points of difference seem to be its badges.

Inside the cabin there’s a 8.8-inch instrumentation display, as well as a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment unit in the centre of the dashboard.
The Wuling Starlight S has a 150kW electric motor driving the front wheels, and is fed by a 60kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. Driving range, as estimated by the generous CLTC standard, is said to be 510km.
In China the Starlight S is also offered as a 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid with either 9.5kWh or 20.5kWh battery packs, which allow for between 60 and 130km of emissions-free driving.

Measuring 4745mm long, 1890mm wide, 1685mm tall, and riding on a 2800mm wheelbase, the Captiva EV is around 100mm longer, 40mm wider, and 35mm lower than the Captiva that still graces *********** roads.
While the Holden Captiva was available in both five- and seven-seat variants, the Captiva EV seats a maximum of five people.
The Captiva EV is built in China, and has so far been confirmed for Latin America. The more affordable petrol-powered second-generation Captiva will continue to be alongside its electric cousin.

Unlike many other brands, which have revived old names, or created sub-brands and unique naming schemes for their EVs, Chevrolet applies the same names for both its internal combustion (ICE) and electric cars, even if the ICE and EV models are completely distinct in terms of styling and underpinnings.
It has so far employed this parallel naming structure to the Blazer, Equinox, Silverado, and, now, the Captiva too.

I’d say for the last decade, 15 years, I mean, um, everything that we were investing in, we’d say, is there a global TAM for that? And I think, you know, then it was sort of, was there a global TAM, maybe less China. And now it is sort of, well, jeez, you really do have to be the the winner in the US at least. And I think, um, I, you know, we do believe that some of these markets are ******* than they seem, especially, again, in AI because they they are they’re taking what historically was sort of like the software revenue, say, for a given area, let’s say for, you know, CRM. And now they’re actually moving up the stack into some of the services. And so they’re probably bringing onshore some of those services and building them into kind of the the platform, if you will. And so, um, you know, I think some of the markets and the domestic markets are expanding, but I also, like, having very, you know, in venture, we have a very long-term perspective. And so what I guess will happen is things will change again.

So, it really depends. I mean, just as a a reminder, we we have three separate strategies. So we have a an AI strategy, which I’ve maybe mentioned a few times. We have a consumer brand strategy, and then we also have a sustainability strategy that we do in partnership with Coca-Cola and eight of its bottlers globally. And um, and so in each of those areas, I’d say the the one thing that is important for any company right now is are are they thinking about what artificial intelligence means to their business? And so that would be across any of them. And in terms of leader, really, we are looking for leaders that either are technical or or have technical leaders as part of the founding team. I think it’s that important. And if there’s an AI native company, really, they have to be able to attract the most incredible, you know, sort of technical talent, research minds, you know, in the world. And so we are looking for founders that are deeply technical, but but that are able to attract and also really think through a commer like think commercially. I think, you know, if you look at OpenAI and I think what they’ve managed to do, the technology side of it is is is incredible, but in some ways, the go-to-market is what’s even more impressive. And I think that’s taking, you know, taking pages out of playbooks from, you know, AWS and, you know, from Google Cloud and sort of from what all these companies, these hyperscalers have managed to do, but just applying it at at a rate that, you know, is is pretty unprecedented.

A key Republican senator on Tuesday said he would not support the controversial nomination of Ed Martin, President Donald Trump’s pick to be the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, dealing a potentially fatal blow to Martin’s chances of winning Senate confirmation.
Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., said, “I’ve indicated to the White House I wouldn’t support his nomination.”
Tillis cited Martin’s support for criminal defendants in Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot cases.
That riot began after Trump urged a crowd of his supporters to march to the Capitol that day and oppose the confirmation of Joe Biden’s election as president.
The Jan. 6 cases were prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in D.C. before Trump issued blanket pardons to defendants in the cases on his first day back in the White House in January.
Tillis’ decision is likely to doom Martin’s hope of his nomination even being reported out of the Senate Judiciary Committee, of which Tillis is a member.
With Tillis as a “no” vote, the best that Martin could hope for from that committee is a tie vote of 11-11, with Republicans and Democrats evenly split. A tie vote fails to report out a nomination.
Tillis told reporters that he met with Martin on Monday evening and that it went well.

“But let me be very clear,” Tillis said,
“Mr. Martin did a good job of explaining the one area that I think he’s probably right, that there were some people that were over prosecuted, but there were some [200 to 300 of them] that should have never gotten a pardon,” Tillis said.
“If Mr. Martin were being put forth as a US Attorney for any district except the district where January 6 happened, the protest happened, I’d probably support him, but not in this district.”
Tillis said that he believed that any member of the crowd on Jan. 6 outside the Capitol who reached the perimeter should have been in prison for some ******* of time.
“Whether it’s 30 days or three years is debatable, but I have no tolerance for anybody who entered the building on January the Sixth, and that’s probably where most of the friction was,” he said.

Xiaomi unveiled its Mix 4 back in 2021 with an under-display camera. The handset was one of the first mainstream flagships to offer the new camera technology that hides the front-facing sensor under the display. Rumours surrounding its possible successor, Xiaomi Mix 5, surfaced briefly in 2022 and 2023, before fading into silence—until recently. Now, the latest leaks suggest that Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new Mix series smartphone, likely to be the Mix 5. The upcoming model is said to carry forward the series’ core vision of offering a true full-screen experience.
A Direct Successor to Mix 4 Could Be on the Cards
Tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo offered hints about a handset with under display selfie camera. “There is no mass-produced model at this stage, but the relevant technology has been iterating”, said the tipster. The post states that a mass-produced model with the under-display camera will be launched shortly.
Although the post doesn’t directly mention the smartphone brand or model, the comments suggest that the tipster is referring to Xiaomi and its upcoming Mix 5.
Additionally, Indian tipster Kartikey Singh has corroborated this rumour on X. He claimed that Xiaomi will bring the Mix 5 smartphone to the market. He opined that full-screen smartphones will be a trend again.
The latest rumours indicate that Xiaomi might be working on its Mix series again. The lineup is known for its advanced innovations and features. As mentioned, the Mix 4 was unveiled in 2021 as Xiaomi’s first commercial phone to carry an under-display camera. It features a 20-megapixel selfie camera hidden underneath the screen.
Leaks about the Xiaomi Mix 5 were active on the Web two years ago before going completely quiet. It was earlier expected to hit the markets in the second half of 2022 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. It was speculated to boast a 6.73-inch AMOLED display and a 4,820mAh battery unit with 200W fast charging support.

The second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 has been released just days after the game was officially delayed to next year.
Developer Rockstar Games announced the game’s new release date on Friday, shocking fans who had been expecting it to arrive this autumn.
But a new glimpse of the game’s two protagonists has taken some focus away from the long wait – for now at least.
The first trailer for the game, published on YouTube in December 2023, quickly reached over 100m views.
The new three-minute clip gives more of a glimpse into the backstory of protagonists Jason and Lucia – a couple who live a life of crime in Leonida, the fictional US state where GTA 6 is set.
A description says the two are plunged in “the middle of a conspiracy” after an “easy score goes wrong”.
Viewers see Jason doing odd jobs and driving to collect Lucia from prison, before the trailer launches into a montage of action sequences, romantic scenes and glimpses of the game’s wider world.
GTA 6 takes place in Vice City, the Miami-inspired setting from the 2002 PlayStation 2 game.
Like GTA 5, which was heavily based on the layout and architecture of Los Angeles, the sequel appears to contain accurate recreations of some of Miami’s most famous landmarks, including its neon beachfront.
The trailer did not appear to include any gameplay foootage, but was made up of cinematic sequences usually seen between story missions.

GTA 6’s delay sent a shockwave through the video games industry last week.
Shares in Rockstar’s parent company, Take Two Interactive, dropped by 10% after the news was announced.
The industry was banking on the game – which will initially be available only on Xbox and Playstation 5 – to boost console sales and break software sales records.
However, having a firm date of 26 May 2026 for the game means that other publishers can now avoid releasing their own games at the same time.
The Grand Theft Auto series has also had a huge cultural outside of gaming – particularly in regard to its soundtrack.
GTA 6’s trailer features the song Hot Together by 70s girl group the Pointer Sisters.
Streams of Tom Petty’s Love is a Long Road saw a 36,000% increase when it was used in the previous GTA 6 trailer, according to Spotify.

To start, though, what’s the Spring Marathon event all about? Well, this event will see the Cunning Fay once more wreak havoc on Rhandum Island, and only the new Legendary unit, the Twilight Ranger, has a chance of stopping her. This new unit grows stronger with each enemy destroyed, and can even transfer her power to another ranger in her faction when she leaves the field.
You’ll be able to unlock the full potential of the Twilight Ranger via special event modifiers and collect limited-time cards. You’ll also be able to complete a variety of themed tasks to further enhance your deck!

But, again, those aren’t the only changes taking place in Rush Royale! For one, now the default PvP experience will become Phantom Mode for players starting from the Leagues. The newly introduced Pantheon will grant the strongest pawns from each faction a bonus to critical attack.
Meanwhile, the Faction Blessings system has received a major overhaul as factions will now receive two blessings per week rather than one. Add to that the exciting new Shard Hunting mode, which sees you building three distinct decks as you take on opponents while trying to strategically block their strongest option.

Additionally, Indian tipster Kartikey Singh has corroborated this rumour on X. He claimed that Xiaomi will bring the Mix 5 smartphone to the market. He opined that full-screen smartphones will be a trend again.
The latest rumours indicate that Xiaomi might be working on its Mix series again. The lineup is known for its advanced innovations and features. As mentioned, the Mix 4 was unveiled in 2021 as Xiaomi’s first commercial phone to carry an under-display camera. It features a 20-megapixel selfie camera hidden underneath the screen.
Leaks about the Xiaomi Mix 5 were active on the Web two years ago before going completely quiet. It was earlier expected to hit the markets in the second half of 2022 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. Fourteen year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr – who is at Saudi Arabia side Al-Nassr where his father plays – has been included in a 22-strong group for the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament in Croatia.
The youth tournament will feature matches against teams from Japan, Greece and England from May 13 to 18.
Ronaldo, 40, posted a picture of the Portugal Under-15s squad list on his Instagram story, with the message “proud of you, son”.

Fintech summit reveals what’s next for sector
This year’s Innovate Finance Global Summit (IFGS) event comes with the backdrop of turmoil caused by Donald Trump’s return as US president, with uncertainty for fintech and other businesses with close ties to the US.
Fintech is valued as an important sector in the *** today, something emphasised by chancellor of the exchequer Rachel Reeves, who promised government backing to the fintech sector.
Speaking at the eleventh annual IFGS in London, Reeves said: “As chancellor, I’ve always said it’s my job to back the builders, back the wealth creators and the job creators. So, my job is to back all of you in this room. After all, it’s thanks to your work that the *** is a world leader in fintech.”
Call from front line
During a session at the event Paul Taylor, co-founder and CEO at fintech unicorn Thought Machine, was asked on stage about the current challenges facing fintech. He said leaders should always prepare “because there is always something coming along.”
On stage with Taylor was Zopa Bank CEO Jaidev Janardana, who listed Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic among the crises faced in recent years, said: “As organisations, we are now used to dealing with these.”
Samina Hussain-Letch, executive director at SME-focused e-commerce fintech Square ***, agreed that “change is a constant”, with crises and political upheaval ceaseless – as is the tech sector’s ability to navigate disruption. Hussain-Letch said that Square *** has experienced growth during crisis moments as businesses and consumers “look for technologies that can actually help them weather the storm”.
But politics and the government could help through appropriate regulation, with Francesco Simoneschi, co-founder of fintech TrueLayer, asked if now is the time to become less reliant on US payment schemes.
Recent comments from Christine Lagarde, head of the European Central Bank, emphasised the heavy reliance on overseas payment infrastructures: “Whether you use a card or a phone, typically it goes through Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Alipay – where are all those coming from? Either the US or China. The whole infrastructure mechanism that allows for payments – credit and debit – is not a European solution. Brussels should make sure there is a European offer.”
Simoneschi agreed it was the time for an alternative to schemes such as Visa and Mastercard. “We have come a long way in 10 years and have laid the foundation of what is going to happen next,” he told the audience.
Zopa’s Janardana also called for a *** digital ID to remove “inefficiencies”, while John Baxter at Thought Machine wants the *** to remain a flexible jobs market, adding that proposed changes in the Employment Rights Bill will be a “complete disaster for fintechs”.
Challenger banks in patient game
While fintechs face challenges, the future for traditional banks is one with declining market shares, said Atom Bank CEO Mark Mullen during an IFGS session titled, ‘The Growth Engine: What’s next for challenger banks?’.
“These are banks whose primary revenue comes from customers they have had for decades,” said Mullen. “They are not growing when it comes to new customers. These banks are living in the past, living from past revenues, and it will bite them on the *****.”
The challenge for new digitally led banks, such as Atom, is to become more than just a secondary account for people. To date, consumers have typically retained traditional banks and used challenger banks as a second account.
But this is beginning to change, according to Alex Mollart, CEO at Tandem Bank, because of trust, adding: “Trust is probably one of the most important factors in banking – the system is built on it.”
He said that traditional banks have lost trust over time while challenger banks have built it. This is in large part related to tech, with challenger banks built on modern reliable tech foundations.
“You build trust over time through many engagements,” said Mollart. This can be through the front end where it’s simple to log into an app, which works every time and is simple to use, and “where customers get what they want, when they want, and it’s hassle free”.
Trust is also built through back-end engagements where customer support is smooth, he added: “Consumers are seeing in the news that traditional banks are experiencing downtime and they have lost trust in their customer services.
“We are built on modern architecture. We don’t have a digital legacy and we are able to keep that trust going, and I think we are starting to see challenger banks offer wider services to more customers. People are moving from primary bank services to secondary providers because trust has been built over the past 10 years.”
Recent high-profile tech problems experienced by traditional banks – such as the three-day outage at Barclays – has seen criticism, including in Parliament, of traditional banks.
Following the outage experienced by Barclays Bank customers, MPs demanded answers from bank CEOs and discovered that nine of the ***’s biggest banks accumulated more than 33 days of IT downtime over the past two years, with millions of people affected.
Data also revealed that there were at least 158 banking IT failures between January 2023 and February 2025, equating to more than 800 hours of service unavailability.

North High School teacher accused of having sex with student booked into jail
EVANSVILLE — The North High School teacher charged with multiple counts of child seduction this month was released from the hospital Monday and booked at the Vanderburgh County jail.
The teacher, 26-year-old Noah Mikael McBride, of Newburgh, injured himself when deputies served a search warrant at his residence April 28, according to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, resulting in his hospitalization.
Officers booked McBride at the jail Monday afternoon following a days-long stint in the hospital. He is being held on a $75,000 bond, the jail’s website states, and he is scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing at 1 p.m.
McBride faces 15 counts for allegedly having repeated ******* interactions with an Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corp. student over a span of months, according to court records:
Four counts of child seduction where the defendant has a professional relationship with the child, a Level 4 felony
Four counts of child seduction where the defendant is a coach and engages in ******* intercourse with a child, a Level 4 felony
Three counts of child solicitation, a Level 5 felony
Dissemination of matter harmful to minors, a Level 6 felony
Official misconduct, a Level 6 felony
Obstruction of justice, a Level 6 felony
Intimidation, a Class A misdemeanor
According to the sworn affidavit filed to support McBride’s charges, the student told forensic interviewers McBride’s alleged misconduct began in 2023 when she was under the age of 16. The incidents occurred at multiple locations in Evansville, including a room at North High School, the affidavit states.

Rockstar Games has released new screenshots for GTA 6 and revealed the game’s cast of characters and protagonists.
The game will feature dual protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, Rockstar has confirmed.
“Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him. Jason knows how he’d like it to turn out but right now, it’s hard to tell,” reads a profile of Jason’s character released by Rockstar.
“Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder. Jason grew up around the grifters and crooks. After a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, he found himself in the Keys doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners. It might be time to try something new.”
Lucia’s profile reads, “Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk.
“Life has been coming at her swinging ever since. Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary. Sheer luck got her out. Lucia’s learned her lesson — only smart moves from here.”
The profile continues, “More than anything, Lucia wants the good life her mom has dreamed of since her days in Liberty City — but instead of half-baked fantasies, Lucia is prepared to take matters into her own hands.”
The new profiles were released alongside the second trailer for GTA 6.
Also introduced are GTA 6’s supporting cast, which includes Cal Hampton, Jason’s friend who “feels safest hanging at home, snooping on Coast Guard comms with a few beers and some private browser tabs open.”

The new QR code-based system is designed to assure customers that they can enjoy “safety with genuine Arctic quality.” So, it looks like verifying your thermal gloop has become another burden on the shoulders of PC DIYers looking for the best thermal performance. We have reached out to Arctic to see if it will share any details concerning the extent of MX thermal compound counterfeiting operations.
Arctic reiterates the common wisdom that “thermal paste plays a central role in any PC build that relies on effective cooling, as it ensures optimal heat transfer from the processor to the heat sink.” We have extensive articles testing individual new pastes, compounds, pads, and our bumper round up with over 50 pastes tested and ranked (updated earlier this year). Arctic MX pastes rub shoulders with the best, and might be the nearest we have to an industry standard, as all Tom’s Hardware CPU testing is performed with a blob of MX-4 betwixt IHS and cooler block.

In brief, when you receive your new thermal paste from Arctic or one of the many retailers that carry these compounds, you first check the seal, scratch it to reveal a QR code, scan it with your mobile, and then verify it online. According to Arctic, the whole process takes “just a few seconds.” After you are done, you will know if your paste is genuine Arctic gloop, or a dastardly doppelgänger dupe.
Is the Arctic paste tube in your spares drawer genuine?
Many PC enthusiasts will already have a tube or two of thermal paste in their toolboxes, tool bags, or drawers. We even reported on tests showing 20-year-old paste – an ancient syringe of Arctic Cooling Silicone Paste – is still useful, despite being left in the rearview mirror by the latest formulations. But without the new QR-code system in place, there doesn’t seem to be a way to confirm that your Arctic paste is genuine unless you bought it directly from the company.

Trump hosts Canada PM Carney as tariffs threaten alliance
President Donald Trump will host ********* Prime Minister Mark Carney at the White House on Tuesday, teeing up a potentially tense meeting as relations between Washington and Ottawa hit their lowest point in decades.
“He’s coming to see me. I’m not sure what he wants to see me about, but I guess he wants to make a deal. Everybody does,” Trump said Monday in response to a question about Carney’s visit.
U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick painted Canada as little more than an economic leech on the United States.
“They have been basically feeding off of us for decades upon decades upon decades,” Lutnick said in a Fox Business interview, the day before Carney’s visit. “They have their socialist regime and it’s basically feeding off of America.”
Last year, Canada traded with the United States more than any other country except Mexico, with total goods trade totaling roughly $762 billion, according to the office of the U.S. Trade Representative.
But the trade relationship has faltered as Trump has imposed steep tariffs on ********* goods.
********* exports to the United States dropped 6.6% in March, while its exports to other countries shot up nearly 25%, Statistics Canada said Tuesday.

Trump’s tariffs, coupled with his expansionist calls for America to absorb Canada as a state and his regular insults and accusations, have upended ********* politics.
Carney’s Liberal Party won enough seats last week in parliament to form the next government, after months of trailing behind conservatives in polls. Three months into Trump’s term, the ********* election was seen as a rejection of Trump and surge in ********* pride.
Bruce Heyman, the former U.S. ambassador to Canada, told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” Tuesday that the meeting holds high stakes for both Carney and Trump, who has promised that he can negotiate advantageous trade deals with individual countries.

Tecno unveiled its Android 15-based HiOS 15 on Tuesday and listed the new artificial intelligence (AI) features that will ship with the update. The company said that its new AI features were aimed at Indian users with capabilities tailored to local needs. The brand also worked with Indian AI firm Sarvam AI to add vernacular speech to its Ella voice assistant. Tecno is also introducing a new real-time translation, transcription, and summarising feature for phone calls. However, it did not share the rollout date or eligible devices for the HiOS 15 update.
HiOS 15 to Bring New AI Features
In a press release, the ******** smartphone brand detailed the new features users can expect with the upcoming rollout of HiOS 15. Some of these features were first showcased at last year’s Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin. According to Tecno, its new AI features are a “practical, user-friendly tool that brings real value to everyday life.”
One of the biggest highlights of the new OS skin is the new Ella voice assistant. It can now respond to the user in Hindi. Additionally, the company claims that it will add support for Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, and Tamil languages later this year. The assistant is also being integrated with Gemini to enhance its conversational capabilities.
Additionally, Tecno is also introducing several new AI features aimed at calling. First is the AI Call Assistant that can provide real-time translations, transcriptions, and summaries of calls. The feature also works with WhatsApp calls. The second feature is AI Auto Answer that can automatically answer calls when the user is busy and provide call summaries. Finally, the AI Voiceprint Noise Suppression can reduce background noises.
Tecno is also adding an AI Writing & Document Assistant that can perform several tasks such as summarising, rewriting, or expanding text, and converting handwritten notes into editable Word or PDF files. Meanwhile, AI Screen Awareness is a utility tool that provides contextual support based on the on-screen content.
For photos and image editing, HiOS 15 is bringing three new AI features. First is the upgraded AI Eraser 2.0 & Image Extender which can remove objects from an image’s background and expand parts of an image based on voice commands. A new AI Wallpaper Generator can generate custom wallpapers from text prompts and sketches. Further, AI Sharpness Plus is an on-device tool that can sharpen blurry photos.
Apart from these, Tecno is also bringing a privacy-focused feature dubbed Smart Privacy with AI Blurring. It automatically detects and obscures private details in screenshots before a user shares them.
Besides AI, HiOS 15 is also introducing system-wide support for picture-in-picture (PiP), a redesigned dropdown control panel, new transition animations, wallpapers and minimalist icons, as well as better optimisations.
