  2. I Was Today Years Old When I Found Out Elden Ring’s Runebears Are Actually Dragon I Was Today Years Old When I Found Out Elden Ring’s Runebears Are Actually Dragon I played Elden Ring for hours and spent a lot of time in Limgrave itself. Exploring every nook and cranny that can be found there. But nobody told me Rune Bears are Dragons! I feel like I’ve been living a lie. But weren’t they supposed to have wings? ******** it… Elden Ring is known to be lore-rich and has a lot of secrets to be uncovered. This is common for all kinds of Soulsborne games, and hard to grab at times. Since all these stories are told in small riddles, it becomes almost impossible. Being a person who’s as sharp as a marble, I find it fascinating. I could have felt bada** if I knew before Elden Ring Rune Bears were Dragons Yes, it’s true, they are indeed dragons. | Image Credit: From Software As mentioned before, I’m not the type to figure out lore by just looking at a blade of grass. But there are experts who can do it, call them Sherlock Holmes if you’d like. However, I’d like to call them, VaatiVidya, a YouTuber who can tell all about the Soulsborne stories, without breaking a sweat or making it feel like rocket science. Vaati explained that Rune Bears were actually Dragons. Why come to that conclusion? Here’s the fun part. Dragons in Elden Ring are known to have gravel stone scales, which are the source of their immortality. Crazy, right? I thought so too. Mortal Dragons do not have those stone scales, so that theory kind of falls apart. But no, whenever you do kill them, they drop stone-covered hearts that can be recovered, which beat on forever. Yes, I’m talking about Dragon Heart, which can be used at the Dragon Communion Altar. If the player consumes enough Dragon Hearts, they slowly transform in dragons. The transformation can be observed if their eyes are seen closely. The yellow draconic eyes sell the story straight. One can transform into a dragon if enough hearts are devoured. But what do all these have to do with Rune Bears? Everything, to be fair. Rune Bears have the same eyes. Additionally, they have tiny specks of stone skin on their body. Which implies they were slowly turning into dragons. Not convinced yet? Well, Rune Bears used to drop Dragon Hearts, by killing out-of-bounds bears during the Elden Ring Network Test version. More fun facts to know about Dragons Mortal Dragons and Greyoll are direct descendants of Ancient Dragons, the ones who have stone-scaled skins. The Ancient Dragons predate the Erd Tree itself. The future generation adapted to the Lands Between, as they had more affinity to natural elements. This allowed them to live longer and carry on. The Ancient Dragons could also breed with humans to produce short-lived Draconians. The very race that you can pick from the preset classes in Elden Ring. Pretty neat way to tell that story. Have you ever wondered why you do you devour Dragon Heart at the Dragon Communion Altar? It has been found out that hunters in the communion hunted dragons to consume their hearts to gain powers from them. A practice that can still be done in Elden Ring. Alas, those hunters later turned into Magma Wyrms. If you did transform, you’re likely to become those pesky creatures. Ever though as a child, eating a seed would grow a tree inside you? Looks like those hunters didn’t think about that possibility. Did you know Rune Bears were dragons, or are you as surprised as I am? Let us know in the comments below. Would love to learn more about the in-game lore. Source link #Today #Years #Elden #Rings #Runebears #Dragon Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content]
  3. Ford and other companies expecting billions in tariff impacts this year – National Ford and other companies expecting billions in tariff impacts this year – National Many global automakers are planning for the costly impact of the trade war, and some saying they expect to see profits drop by billions of dollars by the end of the year, mainly citing tariffs on the auto industry imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump. Companies like Ford, General Motors, Volkswagen, Stellantis, and many others expect tariffs to lead to higher costs to manufacture vehicles, and if consumers end up with a higher price tag as a result, then there could be a ripple effect. In some cases, that has already led to job losses. While some changes have been made to give the auto industry some wiggle room, companies are still expecting to take a financial hit. “There’s no economist in the world that doesn’t know that input costs are going up. And the automobile business is a big ticket, small margin business,” says dealership manager Andrew MacPhee in an interview adding, “there’s no choice but to have a price increase in all manufacturers.” Story continues below advertisement 1:14 Trump claims ‘governor’ Trudeau said a 25 per cent U.S. tariff on Canada’s auto sector would ‘be the end of Canada’ What are companies saying? Ford Motors Inc. is in the spotlight after the company announced to the surprise of shareholders that it is suspending its forward guidance for the year. In other words, the financial future for the company is uncertain and they don’t want to give shareholders any false hope. Story continues below advertisement What Ford did say is they expect to see profits drop by $2.5 billion dollars this year citing the trade war as a main factor. The company added that $1 billion of the loss could be offset by cost-cutting and suggested the losses are ‘tariff-related’, and often those cost-cutting measures include job cuts. Other carmakers are making similar predictions about the impact tariffs will have on the bottom line, including luxury brands like Ferrari, as well as Audi and Porsche (both under the Volkswagen Group banner). Get weekly money news Get expert insights, Q&A on markets, housing, inflation, and personal finance information delivered to you every Saturday. Ferrari announced in March that U.S. orders made before April 2 would not see any price changes, but those made after could see increases of up to ten per cent, citing “import tariffs on EU cars into the USA.” Speaking to analysts after releasing the news, Ferrari maintained its confidence in the face of the trade war, with CEO Benedetto Vigna highlighting the company’s loyal client base, “We stand out thanks to the trust of the clients that are with us.” Although reporting a profitable quarter overall in the first three months of the year, Ferrari said in its earnings report that it expects the same import tariffs to impact the company’s profitability for the year overall. 2:14 Trump’s auto parts tariffs are in effect: Why US automakers could feel more pain than Canada In recent weeks, similar conservative outlooks were announced by Volkswagen Group, Stellantis, and General Motors among others, by forecasting less revenue and profits than previously thought, signalling the tariff landscape is expected to impact profits. Story continues below advertisement In the case of the report from Stellantis, the parent company of Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep among others, the impact of tariffs was directly cited saying, “the company is suspending its 2025 financial guidance due to tariff-related uncertainties,” also adding the company, “is highly engaged with policymakers on tariff policies, while taking action to reduce impacts.” As of now, there is a 25 per cent tariff on all imports into the United States, including for vehicles and parts that do not comply with the current Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA). In response, the ********* government has imposed counter-tariffs aimed at offsetting some of the costs to ********* businesses. In addition, there is a separate 25 per cent tariff on imported steel and aluminum products from Canada, and many vehicle components require these materials in the manufacturing process. Although there are no immediate plans to do so, Trump recently said tariffs ‘could go up’ at some point. 2:03 GM to lay off 700 workers at Oshawa plant Trending Now Prince Louis’ antics steal the show again, as he appears to tease his brother Female complainant sought ‘wild night’ with world junior players, defence suggests Speaking Tuesday in the White House ahead of one-on-one discussions with Trump, ********* Prime Minister Mark Carney told reporters, “We have a tremendous auto sector between the two of us … 50 per cent of a car that comes from Canada is American. That’s not like anywhere else in the world.” Story continues below advertisement For now, The Trump administration has provided some tariff relief for automakers in the United States that is meant to curb foreign manufacturing while enabling companies to continue operations within the country’s borders. U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick appeared in the Oval Office in Washington on Tuesday, alongside Trump and Carney. When asked to clarify relief measures for the auto sector, Lutnick told reporters, “We’ve made an arrangement with the car companies that 15 per cent of their USMCA parts are included, and then 15 per cent of foreign parts from the manufactured suggested retail price are not tariffed to help domestic manufacturing really thrive.” These tariffs have only been in place for a few weeks, and it is a somewhat fluid landscape as changes are frequently made to trade and tariff policy, causing extreme volatility for businesses and financial markets. This is becoming especially evident in recent weeks as big automakers report first-quarter earnings to shareholders, along with updated outlooks for the next quarter and full year. 5:12 Auto industry expert on scaled back auto tariffs and B.C. pausing EV rebates Auto sector tariffs will impact more than just profits A study by the Michigan-based Center for Automotive Research found that tariffs will increase costs for all automakers in the United States by close to a combined total of US$108 billion this year. Story continues below advertisement With the costs to manufacture products, including cars, set to increase as a result of tariffs, automotive dealerships are preparing to increase sticker prices that consumers will have to pay. These higher prices could lead to fewer sales and this drop in revenue is expected to lead companies to cut costs to maintain profitability. Sometimes these cost-cutting measures include job losses and plant shutdowns, as was the case for Stellantis and General Motors last week. The most recent report on the labour market from Statistics Canada pointed to a loss of 33,000 jobs and unemployment ticking higher. This included temporary layoffs and plant closures in Canada, including Stellantis in Windsor, Ont. The next report on employment for April comes out on Friday. Kevin de Bruyne: Inter Miami relinquish MLS discovery rights on Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne: Inter Miami relinquish MLS discovery rights on Manchester City midfielder Inter Miami have relinquished their option to hold talks with departing Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne – leaving Chicago Fire in pole position to sign him should he decide to move to Major League Soccer. Miami had the 33-year-old on their ‘discovery list’, meaning they were the only MLS team able to negotiate with him in the United States. They had until mid-July to decide whether to hold talks but sources have told BBC Sport they will not pursue his signing meaning De Bruyne will not link up with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets. Chicago now have the first option to speak to De Bruyne, who announced in April he would be leaving City when his current deal expires at the end of the season. The Belgian later said he was surprised not to be offered a new contract by the club. De Bruyne has won 16 trophies at Etihad Stadium, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2023. 7. Battlefield 6 Fan Makes Sincere Request For a Change in How Russian Assets Are Represented In-Game Battlefield 6 Fan Makes Sincere Request For a Change in How Russian Assets Are Represented In-Game The Battlefield franchise was the king of the FPS genre for years. However, it all came crashing down after the release of Battlefield 2042, which received terrible reviews all across the board. Although DICE brought improvements to the game, it tainted the reputation of Battlefield forever. However, EA and DICE aren’t giving up so easily, as they’re looking to redeem themselves with the upcoming Battlefield 6. After almost five years, there’s a new Battlefield on the horizon, and it’s supposed to be the biggest one yet as it brings a number of developers to the project. It’s reported that Battlefield 6 is set to take place in a modern-day setting. While we still lack details about what this setting could entail, one thing’s for sure: the game must reapproach the representation of Russian assets, as demanded by fans. Battlefield 6 fan urges EA to avoid glorifying Russian forces As we’ve said before, there is still a lack of details about the story, setting, and characters for the next Battlefield game. However, it’s reported to take place in a modern-day setting between 2027 and 2030 and focus on private military groups fighting NATO. The game will take place in several locations worldwide. Considering that Battlefield 2042 did feature Russian forces, there’s a chance we could see them returning in Battlefield 6. It’s still not clear, as rumors haven’t hinted at a return of the faction. However, if they’re given a feature, user wartexmaul on r/Battlefield6 believes they need to be carefully approached. The Redditor has shared their own personal trauma and abuse they faced during their years in Russia, while describing the corruption and violence in the country’s forces. They simply can’t understand how games such as Battlefield glorify the Russian military, while they’re out there causing suffering for millions around the globe. They say “Please EA” and request the developers not to erase the Russian factions from Battlefield 6, but drop the country’s current flag. They believe the game should use the white-blue-white flag associated with “free Russia”. It’s time for Battlefield 6 to take a stand. (Image via EA) The Redditor recalls EA’s removal of Nazi swastikas from WWII games, and believes that a similar approach should be done for Russian forces in the next Battlefield, if there are any. Will we see EA acting upon this player’s request? Well, no one knows for sure. Video games often fail to reflect the real state of military powers around the world, as it could hurt the sentiments of their audiences, and obviously, ruin sales. However, EA can find some middle ground to acknowledge the sentiment of the Redditor and the thousands who share a similar sentiment. Battlefield 6 will feature a battle royale mode Battlefield will once again experiment with a battle royale mode. (Image via EA) EA and DICE want to return to the golden days of the Battlefield franchise with the next installment by featuring primarily on core mechanics and gameplay. However, this doesn’t mean that the development team isn’t keen on expanding to new ideas that weren’t part of the franchise before. The latest report from ComicBook suggests that Battlefield 6 could come with its very own battle royale mode. Apparently, it’s going to be a free-to-play and standalone mode similar to what we see in Call of Duty: Warzone. While the developers might think this is a good idea to bring some fresh content, the franchise’s past with battle royales hasn’t been the best. If you’ve forgotten already, Battlefield 5‘s Firestorm was the franchise’s first take in the battle royale genre. Although it gained acclaim for featuring the biggest map in the entirety of the series, Firestorm was plagued with bugs, glitches, a lack of updates, and, worst of all, a paywall. This ensured that the game never had a chance in the battle royale market. However, from all the leaked information so far, it looks like DICE has taken notes from the failure of Firestorm and is changing its approach to the mode in Battlefield 6. If it’s truly a free-to-play experience that brings consistent updates, there’s a good chance that it succeeds, unlike Firestorm. With that said, do you think EA should change its approach with any potential Russian factions in Battlefield 6? Let us know in the comments below. 10. Economy is showing signs of weakening. What it means for income investors Economy is showing signs of weakening. What it means for income investors Cracks are starting to appear in the economy, and that means now is a good time for investors to get a little pickier about where they dig for portfolio income. The first-quarter U.S. gross domestic product reading , released last week, showed the economy shrank 0.3% as uncertainty around President Donald Trump’s trade policies dragged on businesses. Further, investors are fresh off of a tumultuous April in which the 10-year Treasury yield tumbled and then rose to top 4.5% – and the S & P 500 briefly slid more than 20% from the record high it reached in February. Tuesday saw fresh volatility for investors who are still awaiting trade agreements, as the major averages tumbled for a second day. While many investors like the idea of padding out their portfolio with attractive yields, they should be cognizant of the quality of the assets paying out that income. High-yield bonds, for instance, have a close correlation with stocks and their prices will likely slide as equities sell off. Consider that the iShares iBoxx High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG) slipped about 0.4% in April, while the S & P 500 lost nearly 0.8% that same month. HYG 1M mountain The iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG) in the past month “Periods of volatility are painful but good reminders to understand what is under the hood of the portfolio and to stay diversified,” said Thomas Murphy, senior manager research analyst for Morningstar. “Remember the role bonds play in the broader portfolio: It’s ballast for the equity allocation.” A preference for higher quality Investors were willing to take a risk last year amid interest rates that remained relatively high, putting $25.6 billion into bank loans and collateralized obligation exchange-traded funds in 2024, according to State Street. Large investors can buy bank loans, which institutions make to companies, and benefit from the floating coupon rate on the loans. While the loans may be investment grade, they are secured by the borrower’s assets. Collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) are similar in that they are pools of floating rate loans to businesses. Within an individual CLO, there are tranches, which have their own risk characteristics. A triple-A rated CLO is first to get paid if a borrower goes bankrupt. While the yields on these ETFs are attractive – upward of 5% for some and topping 7% for others with lower credit quality – investors should be wary of pursuing income without thinking about the quality of the underlying loans. “These are small companies with a lot of leverage on their balance sheets,” said Kathy Jones, chief fixed income strategist at Schwab Center for Financial Research. “They are leveraged to the economy because they are supposed to be growth oriented. When rates rise, the floating rate aspect is nice, but rates are likely to fall.” Investment grade plays To that end, Maulik Bhansali, co-head of the core fixed income team at Allspring Global Investments, notes that there are still attractive opportunities in investment-grade fixed income and sources of 5.5% to 6% yield. “At a high level, there’s a lot to like about the investment-grade fixed income market, and you can get that without taking a whole lot of risk on the credit side of things,” he said. Bhansali called out several sectors of investment-grade bonds he likes. First, there are top-quality banks. “They have the gas in the tank to weather what might come, and they are pretty much insulated from the direct tariff risk that’s out there,” he said. He also likes utilities and health care. “These are high quality sectors that should respond well in a downturn, and they are pretty steady Eddie as it goes,” Bhansali said. “They trade at relatively cheaper levels, and I think there’s a lot of value.” Within health care, he likes large pharmaceutical names and managed care companies. Finally, he highlighted agency mortgages and the asset-backed securities market. “These are securities that tend to get dislocated when there is a lot of interest rate volatility, which we have right now,” Bhansali said, referring to agency mortgages. They are “a spot where you can pick up high-quality securities with attractive cash flows, 5.5% yields.” “The main theme is that you don’t need to reach in order to achieve attractive returns across the high-quality spectrum,” he added. Core bond funds For investors seeking a mix of diversification and quality, core bond funds might fit the bill, said Murphy at Morningstar. “Core bond portfolios offer a good building block to a fixed income portfolio because you have that broad exposure to the fixed income market,” he said. Investors should look for solid active managers and names that leverage strong analyst teams, Murphy noted. As they research core bond funds, investors should understand the credit quality of the underlying portfolio, as well as the duration – or the portfolio’s price sensitivity to swings in interest rates, he added. “Look at prior months of volatility and understand the biases in these funds,” Murphy said. “Stick with active managers, good managers who have weathered periods of volatility and are time tested.” Source link #Economy #showing #signs #weakening #means #income #investors Pelican News View the full article at [Hidden Content]

Dailly made the comments on Bluesky, where he also praised the development team for not giving into greed and releasing a game that the studio knew could be improved. Dailly said Rockstar undoubtedly knew GTA 6 would’ve sold exceptionally well even if it launched in a less-than-ideal state and called the studio’s choice to delay it for extra polish “impressive.” You need a javascript enabled browser to watch videos. So it’s even more impressive they took the decision to delay it. Kudos.” “Many of us are old enough to remember the debacle that Frontier: Elite II had on the PC, where greed got in the way,” Dailly continued. Frontier: Elite II launched in 1993, and while the space combat simulator received universal critical praise, it suffered from multiple, often game-breaking bugs on PC. Even those who remember it fondly recall how some of its essential features didn’t work correctly, such as autopilot or rendering a planet. Rockstar didn’t publicly give a reason for GTA 6’s delay after the announcement. However, as Dailly noted, the most recent version of Vice City looks crisper, and its inhabitants, from GTA 6’s major characters to seemingly unimportant NPCs, move more naturally–in the in-game cutscenes, at least–compared to the first time Rockstar showed the game off. GTA 6’s new release date is May 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version of GTA 6 has not been announced, but is expected at a later, unspecified date. Rivian cuts 2025 delivery target, ups spending amid tariff pressures Rivian cuts 2025 delivery target, ups spending amid tariff pressures Workers assemble second-generation R1 vehicles at electric auto maker Rivian’s manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois, U.S. June 21, 2024. Joel Angel Juarez | Reuters Rivian Automotive is negatively adjusting its 2025 targets for vehicle deliveries and capital spending amid President Donald Trump’s tariffs, but the company is also reconfirming its earnings expectations for the year. The all-electric vehicle manufacturer said it is “is not immune to the impacts of the global trade and economic environment,” despite producing all of its trucks and SUVs in the U.S. at a factory in Illinois. “The current global economic landscape presents significant uncertainty, particularly regarding evolving trade regulation, policies, tariffs, and the overall impact these items may have on consumer sentiment and demand,” the company said Tuesday in its quarterly letter to shareholders. Rivian’s new guidance includes deliveries of between 40,000 units and 46,000 units, down from a range of 46,000 units to 51,000 units, and capital expenditures of between $1.8 billion and $1.9 billion, up from previous guidance of between $1.6 billion and $1.7 billion. What Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s success means for other game studios Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s success opens up many opportunities for Sandfall Interactive Expedition 33 blends traditional RPG elements with real-time dodging mechanics and poetic storytelling in a way never seen before. As I said before, this one indie game has been proving that originality sells more than anything, and it is now making other studios sweat. It’s also important to note how the game’s success heavily depended on word-of-mouth marketing instead of flooding every platform with teasers and trailers like every other AAA publisher out there. Ultimately, as players continue to share their experiences and theories, the game’s legacy is already being cemented. Discussions about a potential DLC for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have already started amongst fans, with many also agreeing that the title is easily the Game of the Year, 2025. 17. US could announce some trade deals ‘this week’ US could announce some trade deals ‘this week’ US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the government could announce trade agreements with some of the United States’ largest trade partners as early as this week. He said US President Donald Trump’s administration was negotiating with 17 major trading partners but had not yet engaged with China, the world’s second-largest economy after the United States. He said many trading partners have made very good offers and US officials were in the process of “re-negotiating” those now. “I expect that we can see a substantial reduction of the tariffs that we are being charged as well as non-tariff barriers, currency manipulation and subsidies, both labour and capital investment,” he told the House Appropriations Committee. Trump and his top officials have engaged in a flurry of meetings with trading partners since the president on April 2 imposed a 10 per cent tariff on most countries along with higher tariff rates for many trading partners that were then suspended for 90 days. In the last administration, American workers were cast aside as the necessary collateral damage in this unfettered “free trade.”This administration is aiming for fair trade to bring back high-paying, precision manufacturing jobs to the United States. pic.twitter.com/NTKz37IODz— Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent (@SecScottBessent) May 6, 2025 The US president has also imposed 25 per cent tariffs on cars, steel and aluminium, 25 per cent tariffs on Canada and Mexico and 145 per cent tariffs on China. China responded by boosting its tariffs on US goods to 125 per cent. A top European Union official on Tuesday said the 27-member bloc was readying countermeasures if no trade deal was reached with the US, adding that it was being contacted by other countries seeking to forge closer trade ties with the EU. Bessent said about 97 per cent or 98 per cent of the US trade deficit was with about 15 countries, most of which were major trading partners, and discussions were proceeding well with many. “I would be surprised if we don’t have more than 80 or 90 per cent of those wrapped by the end of the year, and that may be much sooner,” he said. “I would think that perhaps as early as this week we will be announcing trade deals with some of our largest trading partners.” Administration officials have suggested that India and Japan could be the first countries to sign a trade agreement to lower the tariff rates Trump has threatened. Trump told the NewsNation television network last week that he had “potential” trade deals with India, South Korea and Japan. 19. 3 Mid-Cap Medical Stocks Outperforming the Market 3 Mid-Cap Medical Stocks Outperforming the Market While major market indexes like the have struggled to gain traction in 2025 and remain in the red YTD, certain pockets of the market are showing impressive strength. Several medical and biotechnology sector mid-cap stocks have stood out for their resilience and outperformance. Investors looking beyond large-cap names may find compelling opportunities in mid-cap stocks that deliver strong growth and defy broader market weakness. Here are three mid-cap medical stocks that have significantly outperformed the broader market so far this year. Each shows strong momentum, bullish analyst sentiment, and potential for continued upside. 1. Penumbra: A High-Growth Medical Devices Company Outperforming the Market Penumbra Inc (NYSE:) designs, develops, manufactures, and markets innovative medical devices used in neuro and vascular interventions. With a market capitalization of $11.3 billion, the company has emerged as a standout performer in the medical device space. While recession concerns and geopolitical uncertainty have weighed on equities broadly, Penumbra’s stock is up an impressive 23% year-to-date and 43% over the past 12 months. The company reported strong first-quarter earnings on April 23, posting earnings per share of $0.83, beating consensus estimates by $0.17. Revenue climbed 16.3% year-over-year to $324.1 million, exceeding expectations of $315.7 million. Despite market volatility in April, Penumbra held its uptrend and trades just 5% below its 52-week high, indicating continued investor confidence. Valuation remains elevated, with a trailing P/E ratio of 274, though its forward P/E of 58 better reflects its growth trajectory. Analysts remain bullish. Of the 17 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is a Moderate Buy, with a price target that points to further potential upside. 2. TransMedics Group: Momentum and Growth in Organ Transplant Technology TransMedics Group Inc (NASDAQ:) is a commercial-stage medical technology company revolutionizing organ transplant procedures. The firm’s flagship product, the Organ Care System (OCS), preserves donor organs in near-physiological conditions, significantly extending the window for transplantation. The company also offers the National OCS Program, a turnkey solution for organ retrieval and logistics. The stock began to rally in April after breaking out above key resistance around $80. Since then, shares have gained substantial momentum and are now up nearly 48% year-to-date. The stock’s high P/E ratio of 91 may give some investors pause, but its forward P/E of 41 suggests strong earnings growth ahead. Analysts are optimistic about the company’s outlook. Eleven analysts cover the stock, all contributing to a Moderate Buy consensus rating. The consensus price target implies up to 35% upside from current levels. One catalyst and factor contributing to the stock’s surge and momentum is its high short interest. As of April 15, short interest stood at 28% of the float, about 8.8 million shares. While down 7.3% from the prior month, the elevated level may contribute to a short squeeze dynamic, fueling the rally. 3. ADMA Biologics: Biotech Strength With Room to Run ADMA Biologics Inc (NASDAQ:) is a biopharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures, and markets plasma-derived biologics for treating immune deficiencies and infectious diseases. With a market cap of $5.6 billion, it’s one of the most impressive biotech performers of 2025, with shares up 38% year-to-date. The stock is trading just 7% below its all-time high, which was reached in late April. Investors will be watching closely as the company is scheduled to report earnings on May 7. ADMA trades at a P/E of 29 and a forward P/E of 23, supported by projected EPS growth of 45% in 2025. Despite limited analyst coverage, only four analysts cover the stock, all of them rate it as a Buy, reinforcing the stock’s strong growth profile and favorable risk-reward balance. 20. Intel shareholders approve equity incentive plan, new CEO pay Intel shareholders approve equity incentive plan, new CEO pay SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) -Intel shareholders on Tuesday approved a measure by the chipmaker aimed at topping up share reserves to attract and retain new employees, and compensation for its new CEO Lip-Bu Tan. Intel shares fell 1.6% in early afternoon trading after dropping 36% in the past year. Shareholders approved the Santa Clara, California-based company’s board of directors, though three members did not stand for reelection. Tan, who took the helm in March after the board ousted former CEO Pat Gelsinger in December, will get stock awards of $42 million depending on how Intel’s shares perform. Three shareholder proposals were rejected. The proposals would have required Intel to reassess its operations in Israel, produce new reports on charitable giving and give shareholders the right to act by written consent. The shareholders meeting was the first for Tan. The board had lost confidence in Gelsinger’s costly turnaround plan after he failed to deliver on lofty promises. Tan has begun to restructure Intel by flattening the leadership hierarchy and articulating a plan to rebuild its artificial intelligence business and cut its large middle management layer. Tan said he intends to leverage Intel’s large share in the personal computer and data center markets to deliver more competitive products, and will refine its AI strategy. 22. How tariff could impact U.S. propane exports How tariff could impact U.S. propane exports The U.S. has become a leading exporter of one popular cooking and heating gas: propane. However, America’s position could be in jeopardy as the trade war with China rages on. China, Japan and Mexico are frequent docking destinations for VLGCs, or very large gas carriers, filled with propane. The country’s shores and pipelines saw 57 million barrels of propane leave in January of this year, according to the Energy Information Administration. China accounts for 12 million, or just more than one-fifth of U.S. exports in January. “China is very dependent on the United States for its propane, and because it wants to make certain sectors of its economy, particularly the chemical sector, more competitive,” said Centre for Economic Security CEO Rebecca Harding. “It’s going to need U.S. propane in order to be able to do that.” Several U.S. companies are expanding capacity to support the country’s growing export demand. One of those is Enterprise Products Partners, and it suggests tariffs may not wipe away business. “They’re all asking for more. So our docks are chockablock full, and I think they will stay that way,” said Enterprise Products Partners co-CEO Jim Teague. Watch the video above to learn how propane is extracted, what Enterprise Products Partners’ operational facilities look like and what’s next for America’s position as a leading exporter of propane. 23. Rumored Elden Ring Movie Should be a Prequel on the Greatest Chad Boss Who Ever Walked the Lands Between Rumored Elden Ring Movie Should be a Prequel on the Greatest Chad Boss Who Ever Walked the Lands Between The world of FromSoftware has been more lively than ever, thanks to a couple of games lined up for this year. And with Hidetaka Miyazaki feeling brave enough to dive into new genres, it seems he has finally figured out it’s also time to dive into multimedia franchises, and it all starts with the now officially rumored Elden Ring movie. While not much information has flowed in yet, the recent gossip making the rounds on the internet has fans believing FromSoftware has now struck a deal with A24 Movies to bring to fans the one movie they have been asking for since forever, and it needs to revolve around this one boss that owned The Lands Between like a boss. Why the rumored Elden Ring movie needs to feature the game’s most iconic boss An Elden Ring movie is rumoredly in works | FromSoftware Thanks to George R.R. Martin, the world of The Lands Between holds a cave of lore deep enough that it would take any normal player at least a few dozen hours to understand what’s really going on. But that’s the beauty of Elden Ring, and it is exactly why it’s hard to nitpick on what aspect of the game would be covered in the rumored movie, and according to us, it should really be on Starscourge Radahn, the most chad boss of the whole game. The upcoming production, allegedly being done in collaboration with A24 Movies and directed by Alex Garland, is quickly becoming the week’s highlight, as observed via @DiscussingFilm on X. Moreover, now that we have a lead on the Elden Ring movie, it’s about time Hidetaka Miyazaki used this opportunity to showcase what really happened during one important event in the game’s timeline. An ‘ELDEN RING’ movie is rumored to be in the works at A24 with Alex Garland set to direct. (Source: [Hidden Content]) pic.twitter.com/d8eA5r7Pta — DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) May 6, 2025 Everybody knows about the war between Radahn and Malenia; after all, it became the reason for not only the destruction of Radahn himself but Caelid as a whole, thanks to the pools of rot found anywhere and everywhere within that region of the map. Fans need to know what happened between Radahn and Malenia in Elden Ring Radahn is one of the strongest characters in Elden Ring | FromSoftware Being honest for a moment, Radahn has been stronger than Malenia all along, and it’s about time we put the debate to rest. Not only do we get to see Radahn’s true potential in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, where he appears again as the final and the hardest boss in all of Elden Ring, but the mere fact that Malenia had to nuke Caelid just to bring the war to a tie shows how powerful the Conqueror of Stars really was. Last year, thanks to the aforementioned DLC of the game, it was also revealed that Radahn didn’t really kidnap Miquella, contrary to Malenia’s belief, but it was rather Miquella himself who planned to use the ruler of Caelid as a puppet. Hidetaka Miyazaki can do whatever he wants if he ever decides to make a sequel to the Elden Ring movie, but the first one, a prequel to the main game that shows every fan what really happened during the war, is potentially what everybody would want to see the most. 25. “People are looking at this all wrong”: All the PS5 Hate Against Gears of War: Reloaded and Xbox Has Been Debunked “People are looking at this all wrong”: All the PS5 Hate Against Gears of War: Reloaded and Xbox Has Been Debunked What is Gears of War to you? Judging from the reactions that we’re seeing to the recent announcement of Gears of War: Reloaded, fans of the franchise seem unhappy and confused. The main things that fans seem to be confused about are the decision to launch it on the PS5 (the first Gears game to ever reach PlayStation) and the fact that it will be the second remaster of the 2006 title. The backlash has been immediate, and we think a lot of people are missing the point. So, to answer the questions: why remaster a remaster? Why only the first game again, and not the full trilogy? And more importantly, why bring one of Xbox’s most iconic franchises to PlayStation at all? There’s an easy answer. Gears of War: Reloaded coming to PS5 isn’t about old fans, it’s about the new ones It’s easy to see why some Gears fans have been left scratching their heads. Gears of War: Reloaded is, technically, a second remaster of the same game. The 2006 Xbox 360 classic that was already polished into Gears of War: Ultimate Edition back in 2015 is now getting a new makeover. And fans are asking why? One of the easier assumptions we could make is that fans probably consider Gears to be one of Microsoft’s flagship franchises for Xbox, like Halo or Fable. But the thing is, it’s really not. And what’s more likely than not is that Reloaded isn’t for the already existing fans of the franchise; it’s probably more so for new audiences. This is especially true with it now coming on the PS5. Related: “We’d drink, eat, and play”: Space Marine 2 and Gears of War Have 1 Thing in Common That Makes Them the Ultimate Hang-out Game Fans over on the r/GearsOfWar subreddit have expressed disappointment that Reloaded focuses only on the original game. It seems like most people want it to be a remaster of the entire trilogy instead. But Reddit user u/Maruf- had a great reply to all this criticism. People are looking at this all wrong, possibly stemming from the delusion that Gears is a huge marketing focus for Microsoft or that Gears is a massive franchise anymore. This wasn’t for current Gears fans – this was to get new fans on Playstation. Microsoft’s real mission in this whole thing might just be the growth aspect. The company has been transparent in recent months, and we’re getting more and more Xbox exclusive titles on PlayStation and Nintendo. And with this new announcement, Gears of War is also making the crossover to PlayStation. It’s not about consoles and platforms anymore Xbox is about more than just the Xbox now. | Image Credit: Xbox Game Studios And it’s working. Microsoft’s Q3 2025 financial results were a glowing report card, showing an 8% rise in Xbox content and services revenue. Xbox was the top publisher on both Xbox and PlayStation digital storefronts, largely due to high-performing titles. So there’s concrete proof for us to believe that the accessibility thing works. Related: If We Don’t Get Henry Cavill’s Warhammer 40K Movie Then Netflix Better Green Light Dave Bautista’s Gears of War Adaptation Xbox boss Phil Spencer has made no secret of the platform’s new philosophy: if the game fits, let it ship—wherever gamers are. So why are people still upset? Some of it is nostalgia. Gears of War on a PlayStation controller will probably feel weird to a lot of fans. For many, Gears was a symbol of Xbox’s identity during the 360 era. But in 2025, Microsoft has new plans. So no, Gears of War: Reloaded isn’t a betrayal of Xbox fans. We don’t think it’s a lazy cash grab. As Redditor u/Rukasu17 aptly summarized: “You don’t have to please the fans—they’re already supportive. You have to bring in non-fans into that mix.” Xbox is ready to do exactly that.
