View the full article

  15. Good morning, Destructoid, and happy new week this glorious Monday morning. How are you doing? I have been spending the weekend shiny hunting tons of Pokémon on my Nintendo Switch to pass the time, as well as watching some of my favorite Shiny hunting Twitch streamers, and it got me thinking—what is your favorite Shiny Pokémon? Then I started to think what mine was. I had to sit on this for a while, and I spent a bit of time until I came up with a handful that I feel are some of my favorites, either for cosmetic reasons or nostalgia. [Hidden Content] I think many of us would agree that Shiny Rayquaza is a fantastic choice and was where my head went first when I thought of Shiny Pokémon. The ****** dragon even got its own event recently, but it's always been that one legendary Shiny Pokémon that is a must-have to capture. Shiny Greninja is another one I like (seeing a common color theme here for my Shiny Pokémon tastes), with the ****** suiting its Ninja aesthetic far more than it deserves to be. It's also one of the few shiny Pokémon starters I've sat and got at the beginning of the game to have as my Pokémon partner outside of Shiny Incineroar, which is also a personal favorite, mainly due to some silly headcanon between mine and my partner's own Incineroar during the Alola years. Lastly, I think the final Shiny Pokémon I can think of that I really like is Sylveon. I always liked Shiny Eevee but never found much charm in its other Shiny evolution forms like others did, until Sylveon appeared to change all that. I love my blue boy to bits! If I were to speedrun picks of what I feel are notoriously good Shiny Pokémon, a lot of people seem to like, Charizard is right up there, as well as Gyarados, because of the Johto games. Most of the eeveelution Shiny Pokémon are also pretty beloved, as well as Metagross and a few others. But enough about my likes, what is your favourite Shiny Pokémon, Destructoid?
