Bethesda has announced native versions of Fallout 76 are coming to Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5 early 2026. The announcement came as part of Bethesda's Fallout Day broadcast, which also brought news that “optimizations” are coming for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players, too. Bethesda didn't reveal any more info on what these new versions of Fallout 76 actually do. However, Bethesda did use Fallout Day to show more of Fallout 76’s Burning Springs update, which is due out December 2, 2025. This is the big update that expands the map to include a brand-new arid region in Ohio, where players will encounter the raider-like supermutant Rust King, battle desert Deathclaws, and join up with friends in two new public events. But the headline here is the new bounty hunting system, which is led by The Ghoul from the Fallout TV show. Actor Walton Goggins has reprised his role for Fallout 76 with new voice work. It’s a well-timed update, given Season 2 of the Fallout TV show is set to him Prime Video in December. Timeline wise (both Fallout 76 and the Fallout TV show are canon), it turns out The Ghoul set up shop in Ohio to run a bounty hunting operation before the post-apocalyptic events of the Fallout TV series, which takes place after all the Fallout games. It’s worth remembering where we are in the overall Fallout timeline: the TV show is set in the year 2296, Fallout 4 takes place in the year 2287, while Fallout: New Vegas is set in the year 2281, a full 15 years prior to the events of the show. The Fallout 76 timeline, meanwhile, begins in 2102, on October 23, known as Reclamation Day. It is the earliest game in the Fallout franchise, set 25 years after the Great War of 2077, when nuclear bombs devastated the Earth. We know from Season 1 of the Fallout TV show that The Ghoul has survived for over 200 years out in the wasteland. Now we know some of what he was up to. As part of its Fallout Day broadcast, Bethesda announced Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition, due out across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on November 10, 2025, and on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. It’s the first time Fallout 4 will be available on a Nintendo console. Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition — designed to coincide with the post-apocalyptic role-playing game’s 10th anniversary — contains the six official add-ons and over 150 pieces of Creation Club content. Creations (user created content) arrive in Fallout 4 via a brand new in-game Creations menu, which will make it easy for players to find and download the new content on PC and console. The six official expansions included are the Far Harbor, Automatron, and Nuka-World story add-ons, and the Contraptions, Vault-Tec, and Wasteland Workshop add-ons. The Creation Club content includes unique weapons, power armor, Pip Boy paint jobs, and more. Bethesda teased some of the Creations in the works, including one that will bring a "slice of the Mojave Desert" to the Commonwealth, an escape room experience, and even a mind's eye version of your spouse voiced by the original actors you can interact with. Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition will be available on Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Steam and PC. The Anniversary Upgrade comes to the same platforms, and players on Game Pass and PlayStation Plus will be able to access the DLCs and/or Creations content via two Upgrade options. It’s the latest version of Fallout 4 following last year’s big next-gen update, which was released following heightened interest in all things Fallout following the hugely popular Fallout TV show. Bethesda has said it will get around to releasing Fallout 5, but not before The Elder Scrolls 6 comes out. Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition wasn’t the only Fallout project revealed by Bethesda today. Fallout Day 2025 has come to an end without the announcement of any new Fallout video games. Yes, there’s a new version of Fallout 4, a new Fallout: New Vegas bundle, and new content for Fallout Shelter and Fallout 76. But there was no word on any Fallout remasters, which some had hoped for, or — less likely — Fallout 5. At the end of the Fallout Day broadcast, Bethesda design chief Todd Howard acknowledged that Fallout fans were probably left a little disappointed by this, and promised that the developer is working on “even more” Fallout. What that means exactly is anyone’s guess, but Howard did say Bethesda is looking forward to showing fans what it’s cooking. Here’s the quote from Todd Howard: Even though I am recording this — it’s not live — and I’m probably watching myself right now from my desk and I’m reading your chat and these… that thing you want and this other thing you want… Hey, we read it all. Just know we are working on even more. We are looking forward to the day when we can share that with everybody. Ahead of Fallout Day, Hollywood star Danny Trejo, who played Raul Alfonso Tejada, a Ghoul companion, in the much-loved Fallout: New Vegas, called on Bethesda to remaster the game. It’s a sentiment shared by many Fallout fans, especially given the surge in interest following the breakout Fallout TV show, which heads to New Vegas for Season 2 in December. Indeed, there are all sorts of rumors floating around about potential Fallout remakes now that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is out the door (Fallout 3 Remastered was leaked back in 2023, but those plans may have changed). And we know Bethesda wants to eventually get to Fallout 5, albeit after The Elder Scrolls 6. The last we heard on Fallout 5, by the way, was back in June 2024, when Todd Howard said he wasn’t interested in rushing it out the door. Howard opened up about the future of the hit post-apocalyptic RPG series during an interview with YouTube content creator MrMattyPlays. "For other Fallout games in the future, you know, obviously I can’t talk about those right now, but I would say, sort of rushing through them, or we kind of need to get stuff out that is different than the work we’re doing in 76… we don’t feel like we need to rush any of that," he said. "The Fallout TV show fills a certain niche in terms of the franchise and storytelling." The last mainline Fallout game was Fallout 4, which was released in 2015. DLC content for the entry was steadily released for PC and consoles over the next year, and in 2018, Bethesda launched its multiplayer-centered offshoot, Fallout 76. While fans slowly flocked to the West Virginia-set open-world RPG, it wasn’t until the premiere of Prime Video’s Fallout TV show that the Bethesda series leveled up in terms of attention. Still, Howard wouldn't budge when it came to desires for a substantial video game release. For him, it comes down to wanting to treat Bethesda's franchises with care. "Totally get the desire for a new kind of mainline single-player game," he said. "And look, those things take time. I don’t think it’s bad for people to miss things. We just want to get it right and make sure that everything we’re doing in a franchise, whether it’s Elder Scrolls, Fallout, or now Starfield, that those become meaningful moments for everybody who loved these franchises as much as we do." Blizzard's latest round of changes in the World of Warcraft Midnight alpha will have some huge ramifications for healer specs. The new expansion is finally tearing off the combat add-on band-aid, and that means grand redesigns to the way encounters are designed across the various activities the MMORPG has to offer. For this week's WoW Midnight alpha update, community manager ****** 'Kaivax' Jordan explains why Blizzard is taking interrupts away from healers, increasing diminishing-returns effects, and adjusting how enemies decide which members of your party to target. Monster Hunter feels like it should be the perfect game for me. Big monsters? Check. Cute creatures? Check. Flashy combat? Check. But, for whatever reason, I just can't quite get into the series - perhaps my colleague Ken's mammoth articles filled with words I don't quite understand is a contributing factor, but the game's innate complexity does scare me off slightly. However, when I came across Project Tal, I was immediately intrigued. Borrowing the targeting system and terrifying behemoths of Monster Hunter and fusing it with an Asian-inspired open world reminiscent of Ghost of Tsushima or ****** Myth Wukong, it looks absolutely gorgeous. If League of Legends and I were in a relationship, we'd currently be sitting at 'it's complicated.' While Riot's MOBA is the game that launched my editorial career and the one that I've racked up an ungodly amount of hours in, I've struggled to love it in 2025. With rising skin prices and the new seasonal model leaving me out in the cold, I've only really kept up with the esports scene of late - we all get League of Legends Worlds fever, let's be honest. But the thing that's remained consistent throughout 2025 is my love for Los Ratones, Marc 'Caedrel' Lamont's supposedly ragtag band of pros and streamers that has taken LoL esports by storm. There have been some wild highs, but recently it's been more of a low, with the team crashing out of EMEA Masters after a particularly ugly 0 - 3 defeat at the hands of Karmine Corp Blue. Nintendo's official statement is that the Switch 2 lasts anywhere between 2 to 6.5 hours of playtime. The Switch 2 has a 5,220mAh battery, which isn't that much ******* than the 4,310mAh battery found in the original Switch. A 10,000mAh power bank will give you more than double the playtime. In addition, the 45W Power Delivery spec means that this power bank will charge the Switch 2 at its fastest rate. [/url] The Iniu power bank has three output ports: one built-in 45W USB Type-C cable, one 45W USB Type-C port, and one USB Type-A port. The 45W of Power Delivery is enough to charge the Nintendo Switch (18W) and Steam Deck (40W) at their fastest rate. This power bank is also a good match with the Apple iPhone 16, since ChargerLAB has shown that the maximum charging rate caps at about 30W. The iPhone 17 is expected to have a similar charging rate. Gearbox has released the big Borderlands 4 Day 30 patch, which makes a number of key balance changes to the game. This update, released October 23, includes widespread stability improvements, multiplayer fixes, UI polish, and a suite of quality-of-life upgrades across visuals, audio, and accessibility. It also addresses various reported issues for Vault Hunters including major balance tuning, loot systems, gear, and achievements — further refining late-game, mission flow, and overall player experience. “We will monitor the community closely for feedback and respond after the changes have settled,” Gearbox said. “This measured approach to your input will provide a consistent and better experience. As a reminder, our primary goal with balance adjustments is to provide you the greatest number of viable builds.” The update launches alongside the free Horrors of Kairos Seasonal Mini-Event. From today, October 23 to November 6, players will experience “a terror-inducing blood rain during all world boss encounters, with the added chance to loot the all-new legendary ‘Murmur’ Tediore Assault Rifle and ‘Skully’ Order Grenade. This new change will still see Neutron Capture being one of the best (if not the best) damage scalars in the game, but the power level will be much more in line with our expectations. Additionally, since all damage from the Gun is converted into Radiation, it should have more scaling vectors for clever build crafters, and allow for meaningful boosts from Gun Damage. From the outside, Counter-Strike 2 looks a lot like a game that’s primarily about shooting people. For millions of players, though, the game is more about collecting and/or buying rare in-game loot and flipping it for what can be very significant sums on the Steam Marketplace. Wednesday night, Valve sent that multi-billion-dollar market into turmoil as part of a so-called “small update.” Now, players can use the game’s “Trade Up contracts” to exchange five common, “Covert” items (also known as “reds”) for the kinds of knives and gloves that have until now been much harder to obtain. That “small update” has unsurprisingly had an immediate and sharp impact on the Marketplace price for those items. One rare knife that sold for over $14,000 less than 24 hours ago has seen its minimum price plummet over 50 percent as of this writing, according to the trackers at Pricempire. Meanwhile, the median ***** price for a common P90 Asimov gun on the Steam Marketplace shot up from $10 on Wednesday to well over $100 as of this writing. The Game Developers Conference has said that leading industry companies who choose to skip the event are sending a message to developers that they “don’t care”. Last year’s GDC, which is held annually in San Francisco, saw engine makers Unity and Epic cut back their presence, while Sony did not appear at the event’s expo area. Speaking to The Game Business, GDC’s executive director of innovation and growth, Mark DeLoura, said the companies’ absence was “noticeable” and claimed they risked alienating developers. Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate is out now on PC VR, and a Steam demo remains available. For the unfamiliar, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate by Mighty Eyes is a narrative puzzle action-adventure set across different eras where you play as Asher Neumann, traversing time and space using a mysterious watch. Six months after launching on Quest and PlayStation VR2, this remake of 2022's Wanderer is now available on Steam. Mighty Eyes calls the PC VR edition “the most polished version yet,” and Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate faced considerable criticism for its technical issues at launch. The studio later apologized for its “rocky start,” confirming PS VR2 and Quest owners can expect further enhancements today as well. It's unclear what specific improvements the studio means, though this likely refers to the 'Patch 2' seen in July's revised post-launch roadmap with an updated NPC response system and part two for its combat overhaul. We'll look to update this article when we learn more. Since that initial launch, Mighty Eyes has continued releasing various updates alongside a Pico 4 port. While it's unclear when these will arrive, the initial roadmap also outlined ongoing plans for PS5 Pro enhancements, a 60 FPS 'Resolution Mode' on PS VR2, Quest 3 enhancements, and new DLC content. Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate is available now on Quest, PC VR, PS VR2, and Pico. View the full article
As much as I love laying out infrastructure and planning traffic routes, when I think back to the best city builders in history, from SimCity 2000 through to Cities Skylines, it's the times things went wrong that stick in my mind. Dealing with disaster is a crucial part of good town management, and newcomer Nova Roma will put those skills through their paces. The beautiful Roman Empire sim from Lion Shield and indie strategy publisher Hooded Horse has finally set a date, and we'll be getting our hands on it in January. Read the rest of the story... Some Battlefield 6 players are up in arms after first information about Season 1 revealed what they believe is an out of place soldier skin. Fans have waited weeks for a first look at Season 1 and its new maps, modes, and guns. However, after EA and Battlefield Studios finally pulled back the curtain with a trailer yesterday, the only thing on the community’s mind was a question: could this be the beginning of the end? New Battlefield 6 maps like Blackwell Fields and Eastwood certainly served as meaningful attention grabbers, but it’s just one skin that has completely controlled the conversation. The cosmetic in question is Wicked Grin, a new skin for the Assault Class. A sneak peek at the suit arrived via various Battlefield 6 Season 1 previews that hit the web yesterday, revealing a wardrobe that fans feel ranges from grounded to gaudy. "Grounded skins for a while" - 18 days exactly byu/Ohforfk inBattlefield .reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; } PC Gamer was one of a few sites to share an image of the skin, which features dark blue highlights from head to toe. It’s Class operator also sports a toothy smile painted across their bandana. It’s been more than enough to set off alarm bells among the Battlefield 6 community, especially considering the Wicked Grin skin description teases that it can be “unlocked as a free store gift.” It suggests Assault players could flood lobbies with those standout blues as soon as next week, potentially bringing fans' fear of goofy skins into reality. Even if this or any of the other Season 1 skins remain a far cry from the dozens of celebrity, superhero, and cartoon character crossovers present in other popular shooters like Call of Duty and Fortnite, tens of thousands of fans are clearly unhappy with what they’re seeing so far. “So, weren't we supposed to have realistic skins for some time?” one popular comment from a fan says. “Something that someone would really wear during a war? Yet it seems that with the start of Season 1, everything will turn to colorful mess, with no way of differentiating teams based on uniforms, the game will look more like a Paintball or [ActionSportGames] event.” “I will not revive anyone wearing this kind of skin. My take,” one Reddit user says. “I’m gonna miss the days when everyone has default and beta skins,” another Reddit user adds. “I’m afraid this game won't be recognizable in the future.” EA and BF Studios have never set a hard rule describing what exactly their version of a grounded Battlefield 6 looks like. Still, the Season 1 skin is being perceived as a breach of trust after the community had been told to expect grounded visuals across the board for at least a while. “We are a gritty, grounded, realistic shooter,” Ripple Effect and BF Studios technical director Christian Buhl told IGN last month. “That's what we intend to be, and that's what the game is going to look like for a while.” Many admit that there is still much ground to cover before Battlefield 6 stops looking like the grounded military shooter that it currently is and starts introducing some of the more outrageous characters seen in other games. There's also the fact that there are, of course, many other more grounded outfits both in the Battlefield 6 base game and coming in Season 1. As for what we’ve seen from Season 1 so far, though, fans are now more on edge than ever. “Is it realistic? No,” another community comment adds. “Is it more grounded then Beavis and Butt-Head, Peter Griffin, Sgt. PsPsPs, Wubz, Feelin Sloothy, the list goes on... I would say yes.” "If you want to use regular, realistic outfits, there are plenty," someone else says. "If someone wants to wear one with a bit of colour, they can. It’s a video game, not real war." Time will tell if Battlefield 6 will push past the Wicked Grin skin seen with Season 1. Until then, you can check out all of the major additions set to be introduced in next week’s content drop. You can also read up on how players in the Engineer class are using the repair tool to create works of art.
