Upcoming MMO Dune Awakening is now available in an open beta, and players have been enjoying the gameplay ahead of its official launch. Games like this depend heavily on how well the servers are performing. Being an MMO, you can only play Dune Awakening if the servers are functional. The servers can go down both expectedly and accidentally, and the latter can be really troublesome. It's important to know the functional status of the servers before you join a session with your friends. Dune Awakening server status As of May 10, the servers for the game are working as expected. While the final release happens in June, players can enjoy plenty of gameplay during the beta weekend. If you're yet to get an access code, check out your guide. Having an access code is necessary if you plan to join the beta. If you already have a code, you should be free to play the beta weekend as long as it's active. All the available servers are operational as of writing. Of course, it's a beta test, and disruptions can occasionally occur. It's best to wait patiently in case you can't log in. [Hidden Content] Funcom has also been releasing periodic batches of fresh code for players. As the player count goes up, there can be random incidents of server outages if too many players are playing at the same time. In such cases, the servers will become non-operational, and the only option will be to wait. Follow the official X account of the game, as any instances of routine maintenance are likely to be posted there. Chances are, there will be more servers prior to the full launch of the game. However, routine maintenance is part of any MMO, and Dune Awakening won't be any different. Once we have planned maintenance times available, we will update this guide accordingly. That indicates that the new team behind balancing season 2 has been switched back out, and Harada seems confident that the team members who had originally handled those duties at the game's launch can get things back on track for Tekken 8. To this day, Baldur's Gate 3 stands as one of the most popular CRPGs to date, introducing countless players into the genre and fantastical world of Dungeons & Dragons. While I was more than a little excited at the prospect of Baldur's Gate 3's release when it was first revealed 5 years ago, the level of success was unprecedented for both the series and the genre. Offering an excellent mix of accessibility, high-quality game design, and stunning visuals, it's unlikely that an impending Baldur's Gate 4 will come close to reaching its legacy anytime soon. Risk of Rain 2 is still trudging along, it seems, as yesterday publisher Gearbox announced that a new expansion is on the way, Alloyed Collective. In a post over on Steam, the Risk of Rain team explained that alongside updating the game's previous bit of DLC, Seekers of the Storm, they've brought on some "additional folks that are familiar with Risk of Rain to help us build out the next DLC." Alloyed Collective is apparently still a while away from being ready, but it sounds pretty jam packed. Read more View the full article

2025 is proving to be a really strong year for roguelike deckbuilders and strategy games. We've recently seen the launch of Starvaders, Spellrogue recently hit 1.0, Breachway has just delivered a major set of upgrades, and we've still got many newcomers ahead such as Dragon Age creator David Gaider's ******-battling Malys and, of course, Slay the Spire 2. But the one to beat for me this year is Die in the Dungeon, and the delightful pixel-art dicebuilder has just expanded once again with the launch of a new early-access update. Manor Lords. Frostpunk. Against the Storm. Cities Skylines 2. When it comes to excellent city building games, we're spoilt for choice. In fact, it's so easy to lose countless hours to any of these games that it becomes incredibly difficult to finally put one down and move onto another. But if you're looking for a fresh genre entry to keep you busy, I can't recommend Citadelum enough. Adding a distinct Roman flavor to the strategy pot, Abylight Barcelona recently introduced a free 2.0 update, which has now been met with an all-new campaign you can run through at no extra cost. If you've made it as far as the Floating Cemetery in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, there's no doubt you're familiar with the various White Nevron side quests found across the Continent. Slappi's Den of Fun is a unique celestial body in Revenge of the Savage Planet, which can be pretty tricky to unlock. It's the last of the five planets to unlock, so completing the process is going to take time. Incidentally, this planet is also a secret entity; all other planets are part of the main storyline. If you're not careful, you could easily miss the chance to unlock it. How to unlock Slappi's Den of Fun in Revenge of the Savage Planet Slappi's Den of Fun has a different appearance from other planets on the Planet Map, which makes things a tad confusing for players. This also makes this planet missable in the first place. To unlock it, you will have to find all of Slappi's shrines, which are located across four different planets. The first two shrines can be found at Stellaris Prime, which is the starter planet. The next one is located on Xephyr. The fourth one can be found at Zenethian Rift. The final one is located at Quasadron IX. Screenshot by Raccoon Logic Studios Barring Stellaris Prime, you'll have to unlock all the other planets listed above. You can unlock all of them by simply playing along the main story, which will automatically cover the requirements. This will allow you to expand your collection of celestial bodies that you can then travel to. Once you complete a shrine, you'll unlock Pentaforce pieces. There's a total of five pieces to collect (corresponding to the five shrines). Once you collect a Pentaforce piece, go back to your Habitat. Then, complete that piece via research. Slappi's Den of Fun will be available once you complete research for all five pieces. Is it necessary to unlock Revenge of the Savage Planet?[Hidden Content] If you're focusing entirely on the main story and don't care about other aspects of the game, it's not necessary to unlock Slappi's planet. However, it will provide you with extra pieces of lore that will remain incomplete otherwise. Once unlocked, the planet will be visible on your Planet Map. The size of this planet is a lot smaller than the other available options, and it's also pretty linear to explore. Unlocking it does take a lot of time, but it's still a fun activity to engage in. There are plenty of mounts available in Oblivion Remastered, but Shadowmere is arguably one of the best ones you can find in the game. This mount features one of the best horses you can unlock, but the task isn't easy. Finding her is a challenge in itself, and then begins the job of adding her to your collection of mounts. Thankfully, the entire process is the same in the Remastered version as it was in the 2006 release. How to find Shadowmere in Oblivion Remastered While some mounts are harder to find, Shadowmere is part of a quest. She's part of The Purification quest, which falls under the Dark Brotherhood questline. You can complete this quest after finishing all the required contract quests from Lucien and Ocheeva. This process is pretty straightforward, but it takes a fair bit of time. Once you proceed enough along the quest line, you'll have the chance to obtain Shadowmere. What to do if she escapes? The mount has a history of disappearing, and this includes your stables. In such cases, go to Fort Farragut, which is located east of Cheydenhal. Screenshot by Destructoid If she has armor, a known bug prevents us from reaching Fort Farragut, one that has been inherited from the OG version. If you have done the same, Shadowmere will be where you left her. You can always use console commands to reach or respawn her. This will disable any achievements on your playthrough, so be careful. What happens if Shadowmere dies? This can happen if she gets stuck in a conflict, which has also happened on my save. Don't worry, you'll only have to wait ten in-game days for Shadowmere to appear again. Once she does, you should be able to find her at Fort Farragut once more.
