  2. Bungie's been having a rough old time ever since its 2022 acquisition by Sony: there have been multiple rounds of layoffs, a delay to the seemingly ill-fated extraction shooter Marathon, and then earlier this year a report quoting employees as saying morale is in "free fall." Well, the latest out of Sony isn't going to help that... Read more.View the full article

  5. On August 14, 2013, CD Projekt announced that veteran British actor and screenwriter Charles Dance (Dracula, Game of Thrones, The Crown) would be playing the ruthless Nilfgaardian Emperor Emhyr var Emreis—an impressive addition to The Witcher 3 cast and a role that fit Dance like a glove. At that time his character Tywin Lannister was a fan favourite for viewers of Game of Thrones, and hadn't yet been unceremoniously killed off while on the privy. Life was good... 11. Despite being one of the biggest breakout hits of 2024, it seems as if Arrowhead Game Studios' Helldivers 2 has officially been overshadowed by one of 2025's runaway successes, the newly released extraction shooter Arc Raiders. Helldivers 2 originally released on February 8, 2024, for PlayStation 5 and PC, but was later made available on Xbox Series X/S on August 26, 2025. View the full article
  12. Hero Quest wasn't the first board game I ever played. That honor goes to Scrabble or Monopoly or that weird Doctor Who tie-in with a Tardis that played quips like, "Hmm, where did I put those keys." But Hero Quest was the first board game I ever owned, handed down to me from a friend-of-a-friend's older brother. I didn't really know how to play, but my brother and I created countless adventures with the little figures, applying some of the worst paint schemes you've ever seen to the Elf and Barbarian on our journey. Now I can wallow in that nostalgia as Dark Quest 4, which takes plentiful inspiration from that very same game, releases on all major platforms. Read the rest of the story... 14. Marvel Rivals has been on a generational tear with its new hero additions as of late. Between the arrival of muscle queen Angela and quite possibly the toughest visual representation of Daredevil I've ever seen, we've been feasting to an unfathomable degree. Continuing its run of top-tier characters, NetEase has confirmed via a new trailer that X-Men power couple Gambit and Rogue will be headlining Season 5, and you won't have long to wait for the next big patch to land. 15. If I told you that you could get a whopping $1,000 off a Razer gaming laptop and get a free copy of Battlefield 6 too, I wouldn't blame you for scoffing and saying, "Yeah, right!" But, it's very true. You can get the 2025 model of the Razer Blade 18 at a massive discount, and get some additional goodies chucked in for free as well. While we have yet to review the Razer Blade 18, the smaller and thinner Razer Blade 16 tops our list of the best gaming laptop options available right now, with our 9/10 review saying, "It's very expensive, but it's a lovely machine if you can afford it." Crucially, much of what makes that machine so brilliant is also present in the Blade 18, and while it's a larger and usually more expensive bit of tech, it's got a huge discount at the moment. 16. The newest heroes coming Marvel Rivals have been revealed as Gambit and Rogue of the X-Men, and they may be joined by yet another teammate soon. Season five of Marvel Rivals is named Love is a Battlefield, and the trailer for it teased several couples in the game including ****** Panther and Storm, Loki and Mantis, and Venom and Scarlet Witch...? I'm not so sure about that last one, but there's another potential paramour to be found within the scenes. Screenshot by Destructoid Spotted multiple times in the trailer, a man with red sunglasses can be seen attending the wedding of Gambit and Rogue before things go awry. And he's all anyone seems to be talking about on social media. Everyone is thinking it's the leader of the X-Men himself, Cyclops. He can be seen at both 12 seconds and 1:02 of the trailer below. And if the love theme continues throughout season five, who's to say he can't potentially join as a third new hero alongside his teammates? His lover, Jean Grey/Phoenix, is already in the game, so it would fit thematically. It's possible that the red-spectacled suit may be Matt Murdock or Daredevil, too, but the slight tinge of red behind the shades themselves are leading everyone to believe it's Scott Summers AKA Cyclops who needs a visor of some kind to control the energy blasts that pour from his eyes. For the season's lore, it appears that the wedding is interrupted by a new overarching villain, likely to be Grandmaster. You may know that character from the Thor Ragnarok Marvel movie where he was played by Jeff Goldblum. Whatever they've got up their sleeve this time, we'll have to wait and see, but streamers will likely be going hands on with the new season over the coming days so the wait isn't much longer. [Hidden Content] The trailer also teases several new skins for heroes such as Emma Frost and Magneto, both dressed very nicely for the occasion. We'll know all there is to know when Marvel Rivals season 5: Love is a Battlefield begins on Nov. 14. While the Dam Battlegrounds in ARC Raiders is thankfully less deadly than the other maps in the game, that doesn't make it any easier to navigate when quests are more than a little vague on where to actually go. 22. I admit that oversized expectations for quality metroidvanias persist in this absolutely stacked year. Two months since the release of the rightfully hallowed Hollow Knight: Silksong, Heart Machine’s fourth title Possessor(s) presents another 2D genre entry, only much smaller in scope. Published by Devolver Digital, Possessor(s) boasts a striking animated look that mixes contemporary comic-styled characters against dramatically lit 3D backdrops. With SMT-like post-apocalyptic vibes and ****** themes, it's ultimately hampered by a repetitive bestiary, ho-hum combat, and a somewhat unfinished feel. View the full article
