When the Resident Evil Requiem trailer premiered earlier this year at the Summer Games, I lost it! I am a massive fan of the franchise, to the extent that I am considering it for my next tattoo. So, naturally, the announcement got me wanting to shoot some zombos. I love the combination of psychological and grotesque body horror of Biohazard, but I feel that Resident Evil Village is the cream of the crop and the one I recommend playing first if you're new to the series or just wanting to catch up. Fortunately, it's 75% off over at Humble right now, making now a good time to add it to your library. Read the rest of the story... Working as a dispatcher in a call centre sounds like a rather mundane premise for a new strategy game. Sure, managing an increasing number of jobs and allocating the right amount of resources to attend each one could slot into a loose RTS or management sim framework, but it doesn't exactly fill you with excitement. That is unless you're dealing with a squad of superheroes. The upcoming Dispatch puts you in command of some spandex-wearing supers, sending them out to help citizens in need. Thanks to its unusual concept, stunning visuals, and a recent Steam Next Fest demo that blew players' socks off, it's now zoomed its way up the Steam wishlist charts. Read the rest of the story... Genshin Impact has given players a detailed overview of the Stygian Onslaught, offering tips on how to best approach the new endgame mode in Version 5.7. For the longest time, the endgame in Genshin Impact largely revolved around the Spiral Abyss. Version 4.7 introduced the Imaginarium Theater to the equation, and while a delicate balance was maintained between the two game modes, HoYoverse felt there was room for more. View the full article
One of Baldur's Gate 3's highlights is its memorable cast of characters, especially when it comes to the companions. Its villains are also huge points of interest, and it's obvious that a lot of attention was put into developing them when we have figures like Raphael, who even has his own musical number. Despite this, there's one villain who has more subtle depth and often goes underappreciated. View the full article

Kayak VR: Mirage has made quite the splash with its latest Yucatán DLC, offering a visually stunning journey through Mexico's famed peninsula. Following the path of Kayak VR: Mirage's previous DLC content, the Yucatán pack offers 3 different modes of play. To start off, let's take a look at the guided tour. The entire time I was experiencing this part of the DLC, all I could imagine was being on one of those lazy river rides at our local amusement park. 0:00 /1:00 1× Gameplay captured by UploadVR on PC VR As I floated along the narrow cave passages, I found myself instinctively ducking at various points, a clear testament to the presence and immersion I was feeling in this highly detailed environment. As the passageways started to open up, suddenly I found myself in a massive cavern filled with bioluminescent worms that cast a magical glow across my path, almost resembling a starry sky overhead. Images captured by UploadVR Stalactites and stalagmites towered all around me as the environment played nicely with my sense of scale. These massive structures looked convincingly real with excellent textures that gave them the wet look one would expect to see in a cave system like this. It’s small details like this that truly enhance the game’s exceptional graphical fidelity and what kept me wanting to do this part over and over again to see what I might have missed the first time through. While the tour was lengthy, it was very calming and could be an ideal experience for anyone seeking relaxation without the need for interaction with the game. In this mode, you just sit back, relax, and let the visuals and peaceful ambient music wash over you. However, be aware that if you're claustrophobic, some of the cave sections can be quite tight, and even though these parts do enhance the sense of realism, some players might find it a bit uncomfortable. The free roam mode was exactly that… you get to explore what you just experienced on the tour at your own pace. This was great because it gave me the opportunity to really soak in all of the details here and gave me an even deeper sense of immersion now that I was actually paddliView the full article

A new Hideo Kojima game has arrived, and that feels like an event in itself. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is here and it's an incredible progression and advancement from its predecessor, by all accounts. I've been playing Death Stranding 2 on PS5 Pro, and it's a stunner. It's likely one of the best-looking games of this generation, if not ever, and the game has evolved from a gameplay and storytelling perspective, too. Naturally, with a console exclusive looking this incredible from a graphics standpoint, PC gamers are wondering when they will get to flex their builds with this graphical behemoth without having to purchase or bust out a PS5 console to do so. Here's everything wek now so far about Death Stranding 2's PC release. Is Death Stranding 2 coming to PC? Image via Kojima Productions While there's no official confirmation yet, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will most likely be coming to PC at a later date. For the past several years, PlayStation exclusives have launched on PC some time after their console launch, so a PC launch for DS2 is a safe bet to continue this trend. Other previous PS5 exclusives that launched on Steam over a year later include Stellar Blade, Marvel's Spider-Man, Returnal, God of War: Ragnarok, and others, while a game like Helldivers 2 bucked the trend and launched simultaneously on console and PC. When will Death Stranding 2 come to PC? Image via Kojima Productions There's no current concrete timetable for Death Stranding 2 to launch on PC, but it will likely be at least a year after its PS5 launch. For example, Death Stranding launched on PS4 in November 2019, and it didn't come to Steam to launch on PC until March 2022. Following trends of recent PS5 exclusives, we most likely won't see a PC launch of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach until summer 2026 at the earliest, but that could change at any time. PlayStation has reiterated time and time again that it prefers its strategy of launching games exclusively on PlayStation and then bringing them to PC later on to capitalize on things like a "game of the year" edition, so DS2 will probably follow suit. Stay tuned for official information from both PlayStation and Kojima Productions in the coming months about all future announcements about the PC version of DS2. This article will be updated with new information whenever it becomes available. The post When is Death Stranding 2 coming to PC? appeared first on Destructoid. View the full article
The Dying Light: Retouched update will add enhanced visuals and remastered audio to Techland’s original zombie parkour experience on PC and consoles tomorrow – but Nintendo Switch players won’t be able to join in on the fun. The studio laid out all of its plans for the free update yesterday, revealing a content drop that will make the 10-year-old post-apocalyptic hit feel fresher than ever. Improved textures and lighting, as well as an audio experience that’s been completely remastered from the ground up, are just the start of what was outlined for players on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S. Nintendo Switch, however, was left out of the lineup entirely. IGN reached out to Techland to ask about a potential Dying Light: Retouched update for Nintendo Switch and if it’s something players can look forward to in the future. A representative for the studio tells us it’s not in the cards. “The Dying Light: Retouched Update is not coming to Nintendo Switch,” Techland explained in an email exchange. Dying Light first arrived for Nintendo’s original hybrid gaming platform in 2021 as an all-encompassing Platinum Edition bundle. It’s unclear how this version fared in terms of sales, but we do know its performance was affected by a ban in Germany that has rendered it unavailable to purchase digitally through the Switch eShop across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Those hoping that Retouched or a similar update could instead arrive for Nintendo Switch 2 are also out of luck. For now, Dying Light is only playable on Nintendo’s new hardware via backward compatibility. “When it comes to a Switch 2 port of the original Dying Light: We have no plans at this moment,” Techland tells us. “We're currently fully focused on delivering Dying Light: The Beast on August 22, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. We have no news to share about Nintendo Switch 2 at this time.” It means Techland’s Dying Light support for Nintendo fans remains limited to Dying Light: Platinum Edition on the original Switch. Dying Light 2: Stay Human – Cloud Version was announced for Switch in 2021 but never released despite the sequel arriving for other platforms in 2022. There’s no word on when or if it will ever be released. Meanwhile, Dying Light: The Beast, a spinoff that puts players back in the shoes of original protagonist Kyle Crane, is set to leave out Nintendo platforms when it launches for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S August 22. Dying Light Franchise Director Tymon Smektała told Wccftech last week that Techland would “love” to bring The Beast to Switch 2 but had “nothing to announce” at the time. Dying Light: Retouched is still set to introduce a healthy number of changes to the decade-old zombie game when it launches tomorrow. PlayStation 5 gamers who purchase Senua Saga: Hellblade 2's Deluxe Edition will be treated to an unexpected bonus. Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2was initially released on Xbox just over a year ago as a day one Game Pass title. Despite selling quite poorly, the sequel to 2017's Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was able to garner very positive reviews, settling at an 81 on Metacritic, the exact same score as its predecessor. Coralum is the latest metal to be added to Palworld as part of the Tides of Terraria update, and finding it can be a considerable challenge. The game does not clearly explain where to find this item. You'll need it for the first time while preparing Coralum Ingots, which are, in turn, required for making advanced Ingots and Fishing Rods. Most of the ores are found in different parts of the world, and you have to mine and process them. Coralum, on the other hand, will require you to head to the oceans. Table of contentsHow to find Coralum in PalworldBest ways to use Coralum in PalworldHow to find Coralum in Palworld Coralum is present all around the islands but not on them. Instead, they can be found in the salvage floating on the ocean. You'll have to hook salvage from the ocean with the correct equipment. Then, it will all boil down to your luck, which determines what you get from a specific salvage. Screenshot by Destructoid To get salvage, you'll need a fishing rod and a magnet. Magnets unlock at level 60, so you'll have to clear endgame content before unlocking the required schematic. There's an easier way to obtain this ore as well. For that, you'll have to catch either the Whalaska or the Whalaska Ignis Pals. Both of them are part of the new islands, so you'll have to head over and tame them. However, you should be at least level 50 before trying to tame them. That's pretty much how you can obtain Coralum ore. Let's examine its uses. Best ways to use Coralum in Palworld Coralum has three primary uses.
