  3. What is Beigoma in Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes? You may have heard NPCs in Eltisweiss or the Treefolk Village mention something called beigoma. Of the many minigames included in the Suikoden-inspired JRPG, beigoma rivals the fortress-building minigame as the most expansive. Inspired by the Beyblade anime and toy series, Beigoma takes its name from an traditional ********* spinning top toy also called Beigoma. There's a lot going on in Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes, so we don't blame you if you have more questions. You should definitely check out what we thought about it in our Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes review, and with so many heroes to add to your collection - including some related to Beigoma - you should take a gander at our all Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes character location guide. 5. Deadlock’s ultimate ability has the potential to secure rounds in VALORANT, but it could also fail you in a way you didn’t think was possible—and players want that to change. When using her Annihilation ultimate, Deadlock launches nanowires at an ****** and traps them in a moving cocoon. During this time, the captured VALORANT player is helpless and must be freed before it’s too late. Players can ****** the cocoon to rescue their captured teammate, or else the victim will **** once they reach the end of the nanowire path. In other words, this ult can lock up rounds if it catches the last ****** alive since there’s no one left to save them from the cocoon. View the full article
  6. Video game movies aren't just for the big names it seems, as the indie Max Payne-like El Paso, Elsewhere is next up on the adaptation train. We really are in the era of video game movies. Superhero movies are still around, sure, but post Avenger's: Endgame it's becoming clearer and clearer that there's plenty of strong stories to tap into in the world of video games. We've got your heavy hitters like the upcoming, odd Knuckles series and third Sonic film, as well as the star-studded Minecraft movie. Now even indie titles are getting a taste of the limelight, as earlier this month it was announced that the horror fishing game Dredge would be getting a live-action adaptation. Announced yesterday, though, is the latest indie title to be heading to the film yesterday: El Paso, Elsewhere. You might not have heard of El Paso, Elsewhere before, but you'll definitely find something familiar in it. Announced way back in 2021, the third-person shooter is heavily inspired by Max Payne, complete with slow-mo bullet time. What makes it stand out is the fact that you have to ***** your ex-girlfriend, who also just so happens to be the lord of the vampires. It's an incredibly strong concept, and as reported by Variety, its live-action adaptation already sounds like it's off to a strong start. Atlanta, Sorry to Bother You and Get Out star LaKeith Stanfield is apparently in talks to join the project, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura’s Di Bonaventura Pictures producing the film (the production company behind the Transformers and G.I. Joe films. Read more View the full article

Xbox Game Pass Core, which launched in September 2023, replaced Xbox Live Gold and did away with the two free games subscribers received each month. 9. No Rest for the Wicked developer Moon Studios has released the biggest update yet for its action role-playing game as it battles to improve its ‘mixed’ user review rating on Steam. No Rest for the Wicked launched on Steam in Early Access form on April 18 to impressive concurrent player numbers, but players complained about a number of issues, including performance problems, localisation issues, and absent quality of life features. Check out IGN's No Rest for the Wicked Early Access review for more. Moon Studios, famous for the Ori franchise, said Hotfix 3 improves performance, balance, loot, harvesting, and graphics, and fixes progression blockers while adding new options in the Settings screen. A good few dozen other bugs across the rest of the game have also been squashed, Moon Studios added. It’s worth highlighting the following change: “Automatic Camera Zoom adjustment for handheld devices and Performance Mode.” That should go down well with players on Steam deck, for example. In a tweet, Thomas Mahler, Moon Studios CEO and creative director, called on Early Access players to “hang tight” as the developer works towards the 1.0 release. “We understand that people paid good money to play Wicked, so they expect a good experience on their machines from the get-go,” Mahler said. “We already released a few optimization fixes with more dramatic changes on the way! Joining us on our Early Access journey means that you'll get all the improvements, content updates and fixes until we release 1.0, so just hang tight, we'll make sure that you'll get an excellent product (while being able to give us direct feedback, we're listening!).” No Rest for the Wicked Early Access Hotfix 3 patch notes: Performance Improvements: Improved area streaming, making the game feel smoother while traversing across different areasDynamic Resolution Scaling is now less aggressive, maintaining higher image qualityImproved culling for off-screen physics objects and charactersFixed culling for bird animations, improving their performance in levels (there’s a lot of them!)Additional Shader Optimizations for performance modeFixed a ***** which increased memory and CPU usage the longer the game was playedOptimized rain and other GPU particlesOpening Cinematics and Ship Prologue OptimizationsMemory optimizations for character customization texturesAdditional general CPU performance improvements Graphics Additions and Fixes: Adjusting Brightness / Contrast / Saturation no longer breaks HDR renderingFade to ****** now actually fully fades to ****** in HDR mode Settings Additions and Fixes: Added Camera Zoom Adjustment OptionAutomatic Camera Zoom adjustment for handheld devices and Performance Mode Menu Changes: Added a new menu for exiting the game which includes both Exit To Main Menu and Exit To Desktop (localized text for this menu is coming soon!)Adjusted Repair menu size to accommodate for text in other languages Balance Changes: Weapons parrying now consumes Stamina (Shields parrying ******** unchanged)Nerfed Gain Focus On Focus Use enchantmentUnarmed can now land hits while enemies are on the ground after performing a Backstab Loot Changes: Adjusted Dig Spot rates such that Clay drops more oftenReduced the number of hits needed for Dig Spots, Ore Veins, and Trees ****** Changes: Improved behavior for Nith Screamer and Shackled Brute Bug Fixes: Fixed the crane not turning correctly in Nameless Pass and blocking players from progressingFixed a chest at Mariner’s Keep elevator locking you in when trying to loot itFixed dig spots sometimes not giving any lootFixed remaining enemies and bosses becoming kaijusFixed Falstead Darak dealing damage during his transition while he is still humanFixed certain doors in ********** not having interaction hintsFixed missing VFX for attacks by the Twin Bruisers, False Ones and Boarskin AxeFixed condition where enemies ******* when they should notFixed vendor buy/sell prices on Raw and Refined materials being only ¼ of what they should beFixed missing furniture items at WorkbenchFixed Mira and Meri’s Spinning Wheel not allowing players to refine wool threads into garmentsFixed keyboard and mouse buttons not working on Bounties contribute panelFixed an issue where side notifications would occasionally spam playersFixed parry tutorial trigger conditionsFixed wording of enchanting tutorial to more accurately describe common rarityFixed spot in the Prologue where you can jump off the shipFixed sizing of a railing on the ship in the PrologueFixed spots where you can get stuck in a climbing loop in Orban Glades and Nameless PassFixed spot in the ****** Trench where you can see out of worldFixed Angler's Delight Chowder’s recipe nameChanged Danos’ confirm button ****** so it does not look grayed outFixed NPCs not knowing how to hold fishing rods in Nameless PassFixed missing shadows and incorrect volumetric fog after changing resolutionFixed reflection popping in sewers dungeonFixed torches and ***** popping in cinematicsFixed rain appearing in caves in Nameless PassFixed missing audio for waterfall in Potion Seller *****Fixed missing audio for Nameless Pass Prisoner chopping and miningFixed an issue where there was a super bright mist in the Twins Boss arena after respawningFixed pink effects appearing in faders at timesImproved collision in some places at Orban GladesImproved faders in Nameless PassFixed Photosensitivity screen having overlapping text in certain languages Wesley is the *** News Editor for IGN. 10. The developers behind the huge Fallout London mod have criticized Bethesda after the announcement of the fiercely-anticipated Fallout 4 next-gen update left the team “screwed over.” Fallout London is five years in the making and was due launch on April 23, before Bethesda announced a huge Fallout 4 update that resulted in many aspects of the mod having to be reworked. 11. While Fallout 4's next-gen update hasn't even dropped yet, Amazon's Fallout TV show has already been driving droves of players back to the series. Naturally, a lot these returning wastelanders have been grabbing mods to spice up their experiences - about two Skyrim's per second worth, actually. Yup, as they fill the void of not having a second season to immediately binge - though one is very much on the way - people have been busy downloading plenty of overhauls, weapons, and even Walton Goggins billboards. As outlined in a new post by community manager Demorphic, modding site Nexus Mods has basically been struggling to keep up with that demand for the past little bit. Read more View the full article
  12. I often regret that I didn't get into football as a **** (note for people across the pond: football is what we call soccer in these here accursed, eternally post-imperial isles). The trouble was, all my friends liked football and I have an abiding hatred of popular things, a hatred that has obviously served me well during my later career as an online news journalist. I played hockey instead, which is the superior sport in that you get a big ****** stick, but also relatively niche because you need more equipment. Still, I've enjoyed rediscovering football in videogames, and especially videogames that don't treat football with much respect. You may have played or at least heard of Behold The Kickmen - now, here's free downloadable *****.io offering Cereballers to stick the boot in. Read more View the full article

  15. While Fortnite undoubtedly provides an incredible battle royale experience, a great deal of its success comes from Epic Games’ exciting crossovers with other popular franchises. Unfortunately for fans, a potentially epic collaboration apparently didn’t see the light of day because of Nintendo’s obstinacy. As revealed by Epic’s former Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard in an interview with Game File, Fortnite cosmetics inspired by the popular video game series Metroid were in the works, but Nintendo was apparently “hung up on their characters showing up on platforms that weren’t their platforms,” according to Mustard. “They would be thrilled to have Nintendo characters in Fortnite, but just only if it’s on their platform,” he explained. 17. Former Epic Games Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard has explained why Fortnite was never able to add a Nintendo representative like Samus Aran as a playable character. Fortnite has raged on as one of the biggest crossover titles in pop culture for nearly seven years, and that’s thanks to the long list of characters from across movies, TV, and games that it features. With PlayStation and Xbox mascots like Kratos and Master Chief already available as playable characters, many fans expected to one day see a Nintendo character join the fray. When documents revealed that Epic had once considered the possibility of including someone like Samus, excitement grew even more. However, Mustard said the chances the sci-fi bounty hunter appears in Fortnite are currently pretty slim. He opened up about some behind-the-scenes talks at Epic during an interview with Stephen Totilo’s Game File, saying Nintendo wasn’t interested in seeing its characters appear on other consoles. "They would be thrilled to have Nintendo characters in Fortnite, but just only if it's on their platform. "They got really hung up on their characters showing up on platforms that weren't their platforms," Mustard explained. Fornite is available on nearly every game-playing device players can get their hands on. Were Mario to appear in Fortnite on Switch, he would need to also appear on PlayStation, Xbox, and even mobile platforms, too. "They would be thrilled to have Nintendo characters in Fortnite, but just only if it's on their platform," he continued. Epic could theoretically release Samus as a Nintendo Switch-exclusive character, but Mustard said the company isn’t interested in walling off content from other players. "For me and for all of Epic, we’re like, ‘That is an absolute must. We want to make sure that Fortnite is the same experience, no matter what screen or device you're playing on,'" he said. Nintendo’s strategy has been seen in previous crossovers before. Rocket League, a game that is also available on a wide variety of platforms, received Mario, Luigi, and even Metroid-themed vehicles in 2017. However, those cars are Switch exclusive, meaning those who play on different consoles cannot access the content. Epic would go on to buy Rocket League developer Psyonix in 2019. Nintendo could always change course when it comes to allowing its beloved cast of characters to appear on other consoles. For now, though, don’t expect to see Bowser winning any battle royale matches. For more on Fortnite, be sure to check out some of its newest content, which saw Epic include familiar faces from Avatar: The Last Airbender. 25. Diablo 4’s season four Public Test Realm (PTR) is sadly over, and while it’s been an incredible way to test all the upcoming item and system changes going live on May 14, it’s unlikely we’ll see another PTR any time soon. The Diablo 4 devs introduced a PTR for season four because the team needed feedback on all the exciting changes in the next season, which includes new crafting systems, huge item changes and overhauls, and an improved Codex of Power. And while players enjoyed the testing platform and were eager for more in season five, Diablo producer Rod Fergusson has suggested future PTR runs are a “TBD” due to the many “***** and *****.” View the full article
